The puzzles are logical and gives you things to interact with. I enjoyed the game, and if your looking for something for a short sit down, this game is for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fear and ignorance even darker than the plague itself.

The plot was slow and plodding and as soon as there was some tension it was over. The puzzles were quite bland and sometimes irritating. I think there are a lot better options for short point and click games. I would save my money and time for something better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Much too short for the price. Even bought on sale it felt like a waste. Just when I thought the story was picking up, it ended. This feels like the dev's practice game rather than a full-fledged product and has no business costing €10. The puzzles are on the lower end of point & click quality with much tedious back and forth and in many cases just throwing ♥♥♥♥ at a wall and seeing what sticks. Unfortunately cannot refund as this back and forth put me 30 mins over the playtime!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not gonna lie, I didn't even want to get this game. I only got it because it was part of a sale where if you got this game with The Longing (a really great game) the price would be cheaper than if you just got The Longing. I don't know what the Steam sale managers were cooking when they made that up but hey, 5 dollars and a free game is 5 dollars and a free game. And even though this game was apparently (according to Steam) so bad it jacked down the price, I really liked it. It had art that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those "I wish there was a neutral option" kind of reviews. The game itself isn't bad, the story is pretty decent and seems really interesting, and for what it is, it is a fun little game. My biggest gripe with the game is it can be a bit tedious to solve some of the puzzles ( I think another comment mentions how you have to chase a bird from the garden, to the front of the building, and back to the garden again just to get a feather, and how that feather is used to place some…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game due to the intriguing cover art, and I have to say that I loved it. It was a little short, but I think that that was a wise choice, as it adds to the story rather than dragging it out forever. On top of this, the puzzles were intriguing but not too hard, which made gameplay very engaging but not demotivating. And the music score in it is absolutely astounding! I've had it on loop for a while now, and it's gorgeous. So yes, buy this game and recommend it to all your friends.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game and was fully invested, just wish it was longer. Love the atmosphere and graphics, I also see that I missed some achievements, so it has some replay-ability. It definitely changed my perspective on what a game could be.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was enjoyable, but should have been much, much longer. With a playtime of actually 1-2 hours you just can't weave a compelling story. I'd recommend it on a discount.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You get an old school point & click here. A lot of inventory puzzles. No minigames. Story was good. A little bit sad but I guess it makes sense in a medieval setting. I really liked the pixelart and music. It is a short game but I had a good time!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a short, but no less compelling, adventure game. Like the title suggests you play the newly arrived physician, Oswald Keller, to the small German town of Wippra. Your choices can have lasting effects and determine your ending so choose carefully! Puzzles are all fairly straightforward, as I said it's a short game with a casual blind playthrough only taking me around an hour and a half, the puzzles all had a good sense of logic behind them. Real life medical…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short tale about a doctor trying to find a cure to the bubonic plague in the Middle Ages. Aware of the true cause of the pandemy, he will be confronted to superstitions and religious beliefs in order to be heard or not. The game is based on real-life knowledge and I learned quite a few things about the practice of medicine in the past, which was kind of scary at times. The pixel art is masterfully done and is reminiscent of the Last Door. Puzzles require a bit of trials and errors with some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short game that I completed in under an hour, I think the multiple endings are interesting but overall definitely not worth $10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a captivating and thought-provoking point-and-click adventure. Its dark and atmospheric setting, combined with a compelling story, makes for an unforgettable experience. The puzzles are well-crafted, and the historical themes add a unique depth to the game. A must-play for fans of narrative-driven adventures!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice little short game, the story sets a good atmosphere to what is being told and the graphics are also good for nostalgia, but if you are pretty good at these sort of games then the price doesn't match up to the length of game play, I have played quite a few point n clicks in my time that are priced much less which provided at least 2-3 hours of game play, if anything I feel this game either needs to be made longer or the price should be lowered to the £5 mark, if you do not care about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Plague Doctor of Wippra is a short and sweet little game, that very much has the same vibes as The Last Door ; if you liked that game, I would highly recommend playing this one. This game is on the way to being a great game, however it needed more content. I did play it twice, though I sped through the second time because I wanted to see what would happen if I picked a different option. After completing a play through, it would have been nice if there was a chapter selection, though I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little game. Some puzzles are frustrating, especially at the beginning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a great point and click game that had a lot more going on than I expected. The narrative did a great job of maintaining tension and keeping me invested, and the puzzles were logical and satisfying to solve. The music is lovely, I highly recommend getting the soundtrack along with the game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this game! Short enough to keep the replay-ability fun and not tedious. Your choices come back to haunt you in interesting and clever ways. Adored the pixel art style, gave me old King's quest vibes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I finished 3 playthroughs of this game and I really liked it. It's pretty short (you could finish it in 2h tops) and not that challenging. The atmosphere and soundtrack makes it very immersive. I would even say that the music is the best aspect of this game. The puzzles made sense in the context of the setting. I really enjoyed the zodiac man puzzle, made the little wheels turn. The feather thing though was kinda far-fetched. I wanna also compliment the pixel art. It really captured the look…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a nice, short point & click. I like the pixel style and direction they took with the Black Death period. I recommend getting this on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love the pixel graphics and the music was nice, but all in all this was way too short and shallow for my taste. The moment some tension comes up and things are getting interesting, it's over already. I also found the puzzles pretty confusing tbh, because the game suffers from a typical p&c-game issue, that progression is locked behind specific conversations or item usage you have to do in the exact right order. Its not bad.. but imo 10€ (!) is way too much for this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't enjoy this one. Advancing feels SO tedious even for a p&c... was almost shocked when it ended, felt more like a shortstory than a novel. No animations but walking, no voice, no proper end, no eyes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent point and click adventure game. Pretty short at 1-2 hours and some of the solutions were a bit obtuse until you figured out how the game worked but it was enjoyable enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bottom line: Fun and nostalgic, but very short. Recommend buying on sale. This game is a lovely homage to old-school point-and-click adventure games. Everything about it, from the art to the mechanics to the frustration, transported me to my childhood playing "King's Quest." The setting of medieval, plague-ridden Germany is intriguing, and the developers made it feel realistic (as much as pixel art can be realistic). The historical insights and medical lore are a great touch. This is classic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful pixelart. Creating the perfect sense of dread everyone must have been feeling in that time. Good story.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a short game focused on story telling and atmosphere then this is the game for you. I liked the pixelated art-style of this game and the elements that made up the background of this game as it was very atmospheric. The only complaint I would have is that you have to be really specific in clicking certain items and areas which can be frustrating. Overall though I did enjoy this game as it was a quick bit of fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an interesting puzzle game so far, but the 1 thing is its lack of direction. I got easily confused and would have to look up a walkthrough multiple times. I feel like this could be easily fixed with adding more repeating dialog that describes what I could do instead of walking around and guessing until I forget.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An excellent little game but sadly I can't recommend it at this price point. Not worth paying anything above a fiver for - this is a very, VERY short game and won't take you much longer than an hour to complete even when taking your time about it. The game and story are both genuinely enjoyable and the puzzles are good, though not all difficult. The story is decent and worth playing but the main issue is that, if you DO enjoy it, you'll be left wanting. For a game that costs almost a tenner…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super atmospheric game and the soundtrack. 100x100 pixel drawing is superb.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thoroughly enjoyed this game due to its thought-provoking nature, as it not only provides entertainment but also raises important ethical concerns and promotes the use of common sense. Additionally, the game's medieval setting adds an intriguing and captivating element that further enhances the overall experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful and well crafted. Bugless, and while the graphics are at almost Kings Quest 3-level (but 256 colors), the music is acutally better than in many (e.g. Wadjet Eye) titles. I also love the historical realism. The puzzles are fairly simple and logical. And the story has, well, an interesting twist. 5/5 stars
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, simple, pleasingly crafted tale - should be agreeable to point&click fans. Game length may not justify full price for all buyers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really had a lot of fun playing this game, even though the story is short you can play it over again for different finals, so basicly the longevity is not a problem; most puzzle are medicine based as you can expect from a game about a doctor, and that's really funny; beyond this, the atmosphere of the plague era in Europe is very well built and probably this is the thing I loved the most in the game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a game that immediately, upon minutes of arriving at the hospital attempts to moralize you about our tiny hat fellows and nomadic "Romanians" if you catch the drift, i stopped playing immediately because instead of simply acknowledging that the way medieval Europeans viewed these people with suspicion (mind you-rightfully so seeing as how blood libel, human sacrifice and well poisoning are well documented events by medieval physicians, historians and the catholic church) and moving on with our…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Takes about 2h to complete. Very nice, short game. Beautiful music that really paints the somber environment of the plague ridden medieval world. The puzzles are not easy, but also not hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game in a bundle for another game I wanted so basically it was free. I liked the music, and everyone is lauding the historical accuracy, which I did enjoy. Very short game, I only got more than an hour because I was multitasking. The point-and-click puzzles were very hit-or-miss for me, but my biggest issue was the dialogue. Pretty annoying that I got executed at the end because I didn't clock out at the nunnery even though the PC says "There's nothing left for me to do here" or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is veerryy short and it is very linear... feels more like a little demo - but the athmosphere is convincingly conveying the saddish poorish medieval everyday life. Good attention to small details such as the typical food, dominance of christian dogma and the many tragedies of poverty, illustrated with sad cello sound. The pixel art is also very nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short, but great little game. Well worth the couple hours it takes to complete.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very unusual story. The atmosphere is still heavy . Very nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love adventure games and this one has everything I'm looking for: good story, graphics and music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short game for one evening. It captures the setting of medieval village quiet well. Not that many puzzles and overall game is not difficult. There are few endings, I've got the "bad" one. Not sure about replaying :) Definitely can recommend if you are a fan of medieval setting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good click and point game. Somewhat short, but very well written. Puzzles are well thought and made easier by removing items from inventory that you don't need anymore, or removing irrelevant observation points after examining them once. Worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great (but quite short) story about the plague. Really enjoyed it. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very short (a few hours) old school point and click medieval detective game. It probably paints a realistic life and medieval medical use during the time -- bleeding and leeching oh my!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good and engaging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good short game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good adventure game with good art and good puzzles, but a bit short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very interesting short little point-and-click game about the life and times of a plague doctor during the middle ages in Germany, fighting against Ignorance as well as the rats and fleas. Lovely little gem of a game, can recommend it to anyone vaguely interested in the topics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short but well-made pixel point'n'click adventure game about a doctor helping patients during the Plague. Style and music are lovely. The puzzles are logical and I loved that your decisions influenced your ending. So please support the makers of this game, I would like to see more games by them. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too expensive for what is on offer, to be honest. I do like the idea of playing a game where the ending is dependent on being attentive during gameplay and playing the role (in this case of a doctor). However, this is a bit of a retrospective thinking, as during the actual game portion I was incredibly annoyed at the forced railroading. The puzzles are often opaque in the sense that there seems to be only one way to solve them, even if logic would dictate multiple solutions, so you stop looking…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So fun !!! Am literally playing it through for the third or fourth time now. <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"We can cure this place's ills. We are its medicine."
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Loved this game! Remanent of King's Quest games of old. Wish it was longer! Played it twice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really not bad, a point-and-click-adventure, being a medieval physician. I actually like it, but, somehow, it is just too less, too short, too shallow. Finished the game (without rushing, I investigated everything) in less than 2 hours. For a smart guy, or someone trained with this type of game (who gets the solutions faster) probably even much less. You treat about 5 patients, than some story, aaaand finish. Thats just not enough. Feels bad to give a thumb down though because the game itself…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is enjoiable, the settings and story interesting, but that's about it. I'm not giving lightly this bad review but the whole game feels like a demo, when things starts to get interesting, it is suddently over. About the puzzles, in the beginning they are pretty mechanical but one expects this sorts of games to increase in difficulty. Well that's not the case. It's just the same brainless object hunt till the end. There are multiple endings but the tedius puzzles make it hard to wanting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very simple point and click style game. Short game play (about 1 1 /2 hours) which is perfect and refreshing. The main selling point is unlike other games of this style, your choices through the game matter and affect the ending, resulting in multiple endings. The story line is frustrating in the historical accuracy, and knowing what we know today, the closed minded ignorance of the past really got to me. But again, this gives the game bonus points for being able to give me such emotions.
