The Outpost
A small unit of U.S. soldiers, alone at the remote Combat Outpost Keating, located deep in the valley of three mountains in Afghanistan, battles to defend against an overwhelming force of Taliban fighters in a coordinated attack. The Battle of Kamdesh, as it was known, was the bloodiest American engagement of the Afghan War in 2009 and Bravo Troop 3-61 CAV became one of the most decorated units of the 19-year… From TMDB

Martin Gero - besides Blindspot -dabbled in the Quantum Leap reboot. Dean Devlin (of the Stargate movie) did the Outpost and the Ark. These are the guys attached now

The other one is a little known fantasy film called LAST KNIGHTS and mash it up with the CW show THE OUTPOST. #kidlitchat

They met at the taxi stand in front of the barracks and shared a ride to Kudamm, during which he got her number and asked her out on a movie date to the Outpost Theater at Truman Plaza (still there, now the excellent Allied Museum).

The Third Man meets Hellblazer/X-Files or the Outpost movie.

unlabelledView post →I watched Warfare. Very good, like Black Hawk Down compressed into a single house. SEAL team fucks over an Iraqi house, suffering along the way for no discernible outcome. Alpha chad warrior types should watch it. The Outpost was another WTF film.
unlabelledView post →I saw that in my Netflix recs and had the sense to pass. Instead I watched THE OUTPOST (2020) which despite being lower-budget with a fairly conventional plot, was a pretty good film and never felt dumb.

It told its story over several seasons and landed a satisfying enough finale. So in that way, it's better than Game of Thrones. 😐
