unlabelledView post →In many ways “Kandahar” is a classic U.S. war hero movie, with a contractor trying to make it back with everyone chasing him, except that they do a better job humanizing “the Other”. 🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

And, they are all on their cell phones. Perfect signal! I live in Fort Worth TX. I'm lucky if I get one bar, maybe two. Thanks a lot AT&T!

unlabelledView post →Kandahar is such a strangely-made film. It's quite entertaining but seems aimed at Asian markets. The score is dire and the dramatic movements lack any nuance whatsoever. There are a number of great moments though.

It struck me, how America has fallen, The constitution is a guideline only. Without integrity, empathy, it has no worth. 🇺🇦🇨🇦✌️ 🐸🐸🐸 Resistance

Panahi’s latest is amazing & the most hopeful but go back & look at his movies. Also Mohsen Makhmabalf (Kandahar is stunning) & others..

unlabelledView post →Ah well then my bad and sorry Doc! If I can inform you further that is but the beginning of the movie. Butler's character is slated to return home but instead the greedy bastard accepts one more mission which leaves him burnt and stranded in Kandahar, hence the name of the film.

unlabelledView post →I’m watching Kandahar and it lacks the gravity to make any political points, but also lacks enough fun to make it a dad movie. Butler only has so many in him. This is a waste.

If you don’t stop with this revenge sh$t, there will be no sanctuary for you anywhere.” This is my message to F47. No sanctuary, no mercy 4 your revenge sh$t
unlabelledView post →Do you enjoy action films that try to be a little more but don’t quite make it there? Then may I recommend Kandahar, a Gerard Butler action film that is typical to start, then slows down, then picks up just in time to deliver a message that is not only obvious but rather ham fistedly delivered.
