The Lion King II: Simba's Pride
The circle of life continues for Simba, now fully grown and in his rightful place as the king of Pride Rock. Simba and Nala have given birth to a daughter, Kiara who's as rebellious as her father was. But Kiara drives her parents to distraction when she catches the eye of Kovu, the son of the evil lioness, Zira. Will Kovu steal Kiara's heart? From TMDB

unlabelledView post →The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (1998) It obviously doesn't come anywhere near reaching the heights of the original film, but it's still an interesting and cromulent sequel with some nice songs. To quote that one "The Loin King II" bootleg DVD cover: "Not as good as the first one, but ok".

unlabelledView post →I miss when Disney would half-ass straight-to-video sequels. I mean The Lion King II: Simba's Pride wasn't a good movie, but I would rather watch that than whatever this new Mufasa movie is.
unlabelledView post →Damn. Now I wanna watch The Lion King II. I love that movie, bro. Underrated Disney sequel. I'm a Simba girl, but I get why people thirsted over Kovu. I get it.

unlabelledView post →Ha, just remembered my children watched the original Lion King the other month and of course Disney recommended the Lion King II: Simba's Pride as a follow up film, which is, while slightly better than average straight to video 90s Disney, pretty bad and not a patch on the original.

Another girl claimed that both of her parents were dead for a YEAR before casually admitting she'd made it up.

unlabelledView post →Just from reading a Wikipedia page about Mufasa: The Lion King, how is it that Kion (the protag from The Lion Guard) born before the events of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride when he's not even in the latter movie? I'm quite confused here. 😕
