60 of 98 · most liked firstI like this game, but I don't recommend it for an 'average' player. Pros: 1. Maps. The maps are very beautiful, atmospheric, and very large. There is lots of Bloom. The zoom range is very dramatic, and there is lots of space for maneuver. So much that you will usually have to make use of 2x and 4x time during the maneuver phase of the battles. 2. RPG aspects and DLC. There are magical items and other skills for you to upgrade your units, and the DLC has legendary and supernatural units.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this at 70% off. I just finished the crusader campaign in this game (8 hours or so.) I didn't really expect to like this game as much as I have. It's kind of a RTS with no real base mechanics. Sort of like X-Com would be if the battles were fought RTS style with squads rather than tactical RPG. Anyways, this company also makes King Arthur which I've played a little bit of. King Arthur seems a bit slower to start, but looks to have more variety. Oh, actually, this game is very similar to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first review gave this game a positive, but since then all it does is crash with a runtime error. Uninstalling then reinstalling has made no difference. It seems the devs can't be bothered to fix it for 64 bit systems either, using the excuse that they can't duplicate the error. But apparently, it crashes for many people with a 64 bit PC, so I find that excuse very hard to believe. It's probably more like they won't spend any more time and money going through all the code on this old title…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy the game is Broken and Steam offers no support. they will give you a big run around and then tell you to talk to Paradox. it took them a month of BS before they told me today to contact Paradox.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is dead. On legal win 10, campaign is not starting and it's always throwing back to you on desktop. Why steam is still selling this game in steam store?. It's a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The crowned heads of Europe launch a new military campaign to re-conquer the Holy Land. The time has come for you to assemble your armies and take back the land as Richard the Lionheart. Or assume the role of the great Saladin and defend your people against the oncoming invasion. Lionheart: King’s Crusade gives you the chance to make the dreams of the past a reality. The King’s Crusade is a real-time strategy game that places you in the era of the Third Crusade, spanning the years 1189-1192.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes at the end of a mission, couldn't complete even the first one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. I really like this game's mix of total war style battle and RPG but the constant crashes ruin it. I've played it before and had frequent crashes at the end of battles. This time it crashed 2/3 times on the 1st mission and 6/6 times on the 2nd mission. So I'm done. My advice is not to waste your money. Real shame because this seems like a common issue and it could have been a great game if Paradox had fixed it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a bit of a hidden gem for battle re-enacters with a campaign set in the crusades in to the holy land. Choose a battle, select an outcome, recruit troops and level them up with experience. Based on what appears to be the Total War engine King's Crusade aquits itself well for a linear but faithful re-creation of the times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unplayable. Crashes before you can even start the first battle. Shameful that is is still being sold.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty good game great graphics my only problem was it has a small conquest map
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →couldn't get it to work
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games first mission is broken, has been for years with no fix. Cant review the game as the bug crashes it on the winning of the first mission everytime. Takes a while to do the first mission, its a siege, gg my interest
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Thought Well seem's good, but was unable to pass the first mission. The Good They offer a refund when they realise the game was broken. The Bad Can pass first mission. Offered a refund instead of fixing the game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesnt work. Crashes at the end of 2 hour long battles causing you to have to redo them. I would avoid this company (neocore) completely. Yhis whole series (King Arthur, KA 2, Kings Crusade) seems like it will be a cool alternative to total war. It almost is but everyone contains some sort of flaw that ruins game. In Kings Crusade it is the crashing. In King Arthur 1 its the bizzare campaign design that lets you get 10 to 20 hours into the game before you realize that you did the quests in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Horrible game with lots of bugs DONT EVEN THINK OF BUYING IT !!!!! I REPEAT DONT BUY IT!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you can get this game to play on your system, it's the best medieval war game out there that I have played. My only issue is the amount of times the game crashes because it was built for windows xp and windows 10 doesn't seem to be able to handle it. If anyone has played this game and can recommend a similar game built for windows 10, I will appreciate it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game crashed in the first 20 minutes. I couldn't even start the first battle. :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keep getting run time error.....Crashes after first campaign mission gets completed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed King Arthur (also a Paradox Game) then you will want to own and play King's Crusade. It's essentially the same game mechanics with a few new improvements. The same depth of detail is present as with King Arthur, the graphics are beautiful, the sound and music is top-notch and the history virtually drips off the screen. The King's Crusade is a must buy for fans of King Arthur, and I highly recommend it to all strategy fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this game a good go, but it crashes constantly even with patches and is rife with graphical bugs. A shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Childhood nostalgia hits hard ... Attention : it requires you to do a 4GB patch on it's launcher.exe if you are using a 64bit platform
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game can't support window 10 better refund back
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this game .

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Runtime errore from the first mission , i played 3h trying to solve it but no way....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first mission still seems to be bugged for Windows 10. I should have paid more attention to the reviews.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WARNING DO NOT PURCHASE!!! The game seems cool and like a lot of fun but i just can't seem to get it to work n matter what. I have spent the last 2 days looking for a solution and haven't been able to play the game because each time i try to start the first mission the game crashes with a "this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way" error message i have tried to play the game with different resolution and graphics settings DIDNT WORK. Tried with running the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great system, but crashes repeatedly. By the time you are 5 missions in to either campaign, the crashing becomes unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Keeps crashing. I have Win 7 64-bit. Game launcher crashes. I have to start the game from the game directory. Game crashes after winning a map so I can't get past second battle. Uninstalling it as I write this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →“Ready my knights for battle. They will ride with their king once more.” ~Excalibur (1981) NeocoreGames won. With their very first game, Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come, they managed to convince Paradox (their publisher) that their dream project, King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame, could work. Long story short – Neocore was working on that epic-scale mix between tactical strategy and an RPG, but Paradox wasn't sure about the RPG aspect and wanted a pure strategy game. Neocore agreed to that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →running time error
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is utterly broken. First you have to "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" in compatibility mode for the executable or 2/3 of your screen is cut off. Then you think sweet this game seems not bad at all, but after the first mission you get a Runtime Error and the game crashes. Whatever you do, don't buy this game. My rating 0/10, not recommended.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sequel to Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come, this game takes place during the Third Crusade. There are two campaigns. One where you play as Richard I, the Lionheart. The other you control Saladin. The Saracen/Saladin campaign is supposed to occur after the Crusader campaign. Gameplay has some RPG elements. The maps are beautiful to behold, too. Problem is, they are very large. It can take half an hour to get into the meat of combat on the fastest speed. Probably recommend only to those who are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →can't play. either wrong resolution or critical error or program just closes by itself
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll give this game a thumbs up but I really have mixed feeling towards this title. I also own King Arthur Collection which is slightly older according to the Steam, and if you have to choose (both games have same price tag) then by all means choose King Arthur. This game feels to be hurried and not well optimized. The item bars cannot be moved (if you collect to much items, although they are there you are loosing access to them), portraits and icons are not loading correctly very often, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy! Game is unstable as hell. Crashes on every mission and you cannot save. No refund from Steam. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pretty good could be better
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is broken with runtime error. Else it's a solid game but bugs really annoy me....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recent reviews are still accurate about run time error crashing, i went to Paradox website & see no fix solution or any info, pathetic Skip it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Iam enjoying this game. Menu is very intuitive and easy to understand. Battles are not overly complicated and units are fairly detailed. Game looks and plays great, although I did have 1 runtime crash after i took a screen shot once. I do own king arthur games and i would say alot easier to understand then king arthur 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairly strieght forward and good play. A bit much on one end as being simple with artillery distroying some much, but then that is minor because if the wall is down, it really doesn't matter how much, your going in. The history is there, and the graphic is strangely different as well as south western Asian but eastern to Europe. Like it, wish more is explained in some areas, but faith has to hold you to what you get. Fighting to the death in my book is a bit much. Run away, run away live…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks like a good game but unfortunately after the first mission is a major bug where you get a Runtime Error. Unplayable beyond that. They've known about the error for years and still haven't fixed it as of Jan 2017
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Kings' Crusade is a crime against gaming. I really wanted to like this game; it's set in an interesting time period, features cool historical figures and looks good on paper. However, all that you will take away from this game is that it is more broken than my dreams, is savagely unbalanced and is about as fun as amateur surgery. The main meat of this game is Total War-style RTS battles. However, where the Total War franchise manages to create suspense, challenge and fun, Kings' Crusade…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU RUN WIN 7 64
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This really is a great game, but like most of the complaints, I get a runtime error after the first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i don't know why i bought this game. i installed it sand hated it as probubly the worst ripoff of the total war franchise. i love paradox interactive 90% of the time. sadly this is one of the 10%
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seems to have some unlocked potential. Unfortunately the game is utterly broken and you cant get any further than Mission 1 then the game crashes... 0/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a poor mans total war
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Complete waste of money, The game is so bad. This should be one of those free games you see in the microsoft store
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →lol. Good concept. Second map theres two artillery you need to clear to beat and they completely destroy all your units. Garbage
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, fun to play. The campaigns are a little short but still an around good game. I use windows7 64-bit and runs great and have had no crashes or any other problems to mention. Update: After playing 28hrs I thought the game was great so I decided to get all the DLC, what a big mistake. Since I've bought them, this game crashes after every set, the Devs or PARADOX has said nothing or have done nothing about leaving is FUMMING. Run away from the BROKEN AZZ game not worth CRAP now. THANKS…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually like games like this, but couldn't get into this one. Gameplay is kinda stale, had some stability issues. Ultimately I just didn't have fun playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just found this game uninstalled on my computer and I asked myself why I stoppped playing it. Theni played it and I remembered that every time after the first level it crashed and has the most annoying error message come up every time. I can't even play past the first level and it crashed the first time I tried to get into the F###ing tutorial. This thing is like a ticking time bomb
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks great and the gameplay mechanics work. However, up to this day, there's still a game breaking bug left unfixed. The game crashes when you finish the first battle. Better go for the other games from NeoCore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I purchased this game twice, but run in error. I played this way back in 2011. This game is great. However it's crashes. I hope that the developer will fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NeocoreGames has a disgusting habit of recalling keys for their games 2-3 years after they were sold. This is unacceptable behavior! ------------------------------------------- У NeocoreGames есть отвратительная привычка отзывать ключи к своим играм через 2-3 года после продажи. Это неприемлемое поведение!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a pretty good game, relatively short but good. Only issue is that it needs an some patching to get running but apparently people don't know how to use google.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game would be good, if it wouldnt broken, i thing that is purposely, maybe is too much good with impressible fighting theme, but badly things are a lot here,., so wtf well, it resting to waiting for correction patch... a typical steam problems, so we must only be patient like it is in holly Bibble, concretlly with Job. ... You must patch the launcher.exe with this memory utility: https://ntcore.com/download/ -&_OK!-
