When you analyze it superficially, it has decent graphics, soundtrack, gameplay and story. It's polished. It's entertaining, but only until midgame when it becomes a chore. But, there were things I didn't like. 1) If you didn't buy the DLCs, you can pick only 1 class! the bounty hunter. I'm a gamer since the 80's and never in my life have I seen a RPG that limits you to 1 class in the vanilla…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game is terribly optimized and i ran into game breaking issues here in 2025. issues i've enountered. 1) fps limiting, no matter what settings i tried i was stuck mainly on 53 fps, with a horrendous 20fps feel. 2) screen size reverting, even if i changed to 4k, after game crashed it'll revert to 1080p or some weird resolution 3) continuous crashing, i tried dx3d9, opengl, and dx3d11 and all of them crashed. the most optimal one i experienced was the open gl, it lasted maybe 4 minutes before…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an Isometric ARPG Diablo clone that plays like a darker Torchlight, with the whole companion/pet system. There aren't really very many builds that turn out to be viable late-game, and experimentation beyond putting points where you obviously are expected to is generally punished by a bossfight that soft-locks you until you respec and actually behave the way the game expects you to. I have honestly tried so many times to get into a playthru of this game, and end up doing the same thing I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What happened to this game's balance after 2017? There were 30+ patches in 2013-2016 when the game was good and no changes stated in news since 2017 but then the guides stopped working, I've got less stat points, ability points, worse items, lifesteal changed from 4-5% to 0,1-0,2% which barely works and after finishing the campaign I tried neverending story but got one-shotted by a first mob that deals 1700 dmg to my 1600 HP melee... I was dying in normal mode which didn't happen in Sacred or…

I ran around for 20 minutes fighting the enemies its spawned and taking swipes at him as well until I had depleted all my potions and ended up dying. Twice I did this a the scarecrow just puts up a shield immediately and will not drop it. How am I supposed to play a game where the bosses glitch into god mode and cannot be defeated? And I really wanted to enjoy…

They've shown to be a shady dev that will revoke legitimately purchased keys out of spite and then lying about why they did so. [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/1157390/discussions/0/569247754752109394/?ctp=2]They claim it's for "privacy issues" yet didn't bother to revoke keys until a couple of years after. So the dev is a thief and a liar. Hopefully they're out of the industry soon enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This one surprised me with how fun it is, and I’m definitely going to play the rest of the series. The combat feels punchy, the skill trees are satisfying, and Lady Katarina absolutely steals the show with her humor. The world is packed with charm and atmosphere. It’s not the longest ARPG out there, but every hour feels enjoyable and well-paced. If you like Diablo-style games with personality, this one is an easy recommendation!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm sure 99% of people don't read reviews. That's why I confess that I love young, beautiful women.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started playing this game in 2026 - I had never heard of it, but I bought it and played it for an hour, which felt like a minute! Even though this game is 13 years old, it is the best game in my Steam library of 300+ games - I immediately bought all of the DLC and II and III versions - which I am yet to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been fun so far just starting but highly recommend. If you like ARPG's like Grim Dawn, Diablo, PoE then you will like this and the story is good so far. The game doesn't hold your hand even on normal mode you're getting stomped if you don't watch out. It's nice to play a game like this again keeps you on your toes. Give it a shot usually really cheap on sales if you don't want full price.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Variety (maps and monsters). + Dynamic between Katarina and Van Velsing. Some funny dialogues. + Challenging game. I played this blind the first playthrough on normal mode without looking up any build and I often had a tough time, especially at the beginning. + Very cool areas (especially the town). + Getting scammed by the beggars. + Fun builds you can tinker around with yourself. Good rage system. + Essence system - Feedback on hits is kinda lackluster - Tutorials could be…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool ARPG. Maybe lacks some build variety compared to newer games but story and characters compensate it 200%. Catarina's voice lines are pure gold.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →9/10 no need to elaborate
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like it was released in 2003 rather than 2013. The graphics, UI, loot system, and gameplay mechanics are severely outdated, they dont even hold up against ARPGs that came out before it, such as Diablo 2 & 3 or Torchlight 1 & 2. Honestly, it might only reach 20% of the quality of those titles. I am genuinely surprised by the very positive reviews.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review targets people that would normally scroll passed games like this: To be honest I hear "action RPG" and then I am like "hell yeah!" but then I see it's Western and go ): This is a great WARPG Diablo game for people that don't typically play these types of games but enjoy horde spectacle gameplay. You have lots of monsters on the screen with satisfying contact and well made particle effects. There is a nice constant stream of sidequest and boss rewards throughout the game, as with…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game! Played it right after finishing Grim Dawn. Another great ARPG. GD allows you to rotate camera and place Rift Gates that take you to your base AND allow you to return to the origin of the Gate. VH only allows a 1-Way passage back to your base. bummer eh. Other than that they are both worthy of our hard earned Gaming$$$.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unironically the most frustrating game i have ever played. The setting is great, voice acting is great and overall monster design is amazing, however the balance is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥. You constantly get bombarded by 50 billion enemies with 50 billion health each, so you just hit them 50 billion times for 50 billion minutes until eventually they maybe die. Death is meaningless, you just respawn so the game really isnt difficult, ist just incredibly frustrating to stand there, swarmed by 50-60…

Even with all of the upgrades that you give him in the game. I also really like the Eastern European take on this, as well as all of the monsters from the fairy tales. NOTE: Important info if you're playing for the first time: If you want to play as a Thaumaturge or an Arcane Mechanic, you have to buy the DLC separately and…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of these days I'd like to finish this one, but what I did play was a fun looter ARPG. The environments are great and the gameplay is pretty fun. It's what you'd imagine from one of these games.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The play style is like a better version of Diablo 3 & 4 part 1 of 3 and the game art is kinda gothic horror steam punk. The mythos follow more European legends and lore than mesopotamian mythos and lore. Expect more things along the lines of vampires and other similar monsters. Characters from the first transfer to the second game and parts of your progress from number two will transfer to number three.

As a result of my love and appreciation for the genre, the game offers us quite a bit of multitasking: fight, get injured, cast spells, deal critical damage, loot, talk to Katarina, enchant your gear, help people through side quests, disrupt your enemies’ preparations, and marvel at the captivating visuals of a mechanized world, complete with incredible voice acting and an OST. Our main goal in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is bugged with IMPOSSIBLE boss battle early on. A regenerating sub-boss regenerates its health and flee faster than a certain class, that doesn't have any skills to pin opponent down, to out damage its regeneration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In short game balance sucks bad, I dont expect to be a god teir character out of the gate but being whacked on "normal" constantly early game with high respawn costs just sucks and i cant defend that. I could forgive the difficulty if the abilities were more nuanced but its pretty stagnant early on and frankly I am not going to bash my head against a wall until I break through. To add to the ability aspect from a story perspective you are a hunter yet own almost no tools to hunt the…

Collect everything you find, level up, and create various combinations of talents and equipment, either alone or in co-op with a friend. Recommended for those who enjoy a combination of gothic, adventurous, and lighthearted gameplay.

When I'd initially started playing this game, I was immediately put off by its incredibly high difficulty setting regardless of selected difficulty, and because of it, I shelved the game for many years until coming back determined to finish the job. Once I found and set up a proper build, the HCHC difficulty was a piece of cake. The one reason I cannot recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun Diablo clone to play through with a friend. It doesn't take itself very seriously and is more action comedy than action. It's quite fun. The difficulty though on max is very serious and will require good planning and build/gear experimentation to not get instantly turned into fine paste. We died a lot- the game does warn you, but it is doable for a first playthrough. Early game hell becomes more and more bearable as your build and gear starts to come online and by the end, you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →9/10 I really like location design and soundtrack :D unfortunately, I had faced a bug, but overall the game is great and fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me it was a very fun experience. The story was engaging and not to serious. The gameplay was good both from the difficulty and enemy variety. Going from area to area the difficulty slowly ramps up and you never really feel too powerful. The monsters are just hard enough to give you a challenge and can kill you but with a proper strategy you can also kill them just as well. Once you finish the game there isn’t much, but scenarios do provide a bit of a challenge. Or you can start a new game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Initially, I thought the game was decent, if nothing special, but after playing a couple more hours, the balance issues get so bad the game is pretty much unplayable slog.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Diablo-like from one of my favorite studios. I went back to this after being disappointed with Last Epoch, and found myself playing through this, II, and Final Cut. Love the world, love how stupid and fun the dialogue is, and love the classes and combat. If you max out your character (level 30) you can continue with him in Van Helsing II. For Linux users, refer to my guide on how to transfer.
