This game is surprizingly accurate in many respects! It got the mythology right, which you do sometimes tend to see in games set in Egypt ... but more importantly it got the "everyday life" aspect right (which you NEVER see). The devs really did their research on this game, and it's highly appreciated!! The houses are laid out properly, the material…

The animated video is a bit choppy, the gameplay is not smooth, overall it looks a bit fuzzy due to the low resolution of the graphics, and the conversation flow is a clunky. Just be prepared for all that. On the good side, it is a fairly enjoyable puzzler. The makers mixed in some real history and rituals into the game, so that is an added bonus. If you can get it on a sale, I think it would be worth picking up.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm not one to play Adventure games much; I'd like to play them more, but I often lack the patience. This game, however, kept me firmly firmly seated from start to finish, quite literally; before I'd realised it, I'd finished the whole game in one go. The puzzles may seem easy to someone who plays adventure games a lot, and do lack that element of obtuse adventure-game-developer-logic, but a few puzzles do require some actual knowledge of Egyptian mythology on the player's part. The ending does…

Ran through all the compatability settings and ini tweaks etc and nothing seems to work. Some people have had success with the compat- workaround but it seems hit and miss. Sadly I cannot recommend this title for a purchase in it's current state.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses isn't a high grade point-and-click adventure game, it doesn't really deserve it's rather low rating. The most likely part that would turn people off from the game is its old-school navigation style combined with a bit out-dated graphics, but other than that it has a nice story and cutscenes with plenty of good puzzles. Surprisngly, it also has a mini-encyclopedia in-game that covers various topics on Egyptian culture/history. Overall, the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If your into Egypt this might be for you, but personally while there is nothing technically wrong with it aside from the compatibility bug (See Fix Here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/302160/discussions/0/540744475017796790/ ) It just felt bland and dull to us here. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I admit it's my own fault but I hadn't noticed this was a 360degree game. So if you like me get really dizzy when playing such a game this is not for you. I also admit I have only played this game for half an hour but that was enough for me. Usually I like most point and click games I play but this I found really bad in the short time I struggled with dizziness. The charactors are kind of dead and you feel nothing at all for them. And the voices are also dead. I have played much older games…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately this game has not aged well, in fact I couldn't get it to play at all on my Windows 10 for incompatibility (even after trying every trick in the book from compatibility mode to going into the coding and changing the resolution, windowed mode, etc). I finally pulled out my Windows 7 computer and had no problem installing and running it on there. It's then that I found out that the game itself has some bugs and I could not get passed a certain point. Ah well, I tried.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is great. Many puzzles that not too easy to solve are main part of a game and there are beautiful concept arts though this game is quite old. The soundtracks are mediocre but they are quite odd because they are egyptian style. I had a lot of fun because the story of this game is awesome. One problem that really annoying me is that there always blurring vision when there come to cutscenes in game, I don't recommended this game to anyone who had seizure or migraine and I mean it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Windows 11 user here. To avoid crashes to desktop simply go to the game folder, select Egypt3.exe, right click, click on Show more options, then Properties then go to Compatibility tab, and select Run in compatibility mode for Windows Vista. Press OK. Now double click on Egypt3.exe and you are good to go. No more crashes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Won't even load the game, tried several "fixes" by modding the .ini file etc, changing compatibility mode blah blah blah but still wont launch!! fix your game!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I first got this game It worked, and I played a little bit of it, but now I find out I can't even get past the player selection screen. I should not have to add or play with the game file/code to get games to work. This game should not be available to purchase until it is fixed. This is just negligence on the developer's part.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Liked this adventure very much, back that time they new how to make really good games. Windows 10/64 everything works for me, the only thing I did was setting Compatibility mode to "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" for Egypt3.exe.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i dont mind this game, it was interesting, quite short only took me 4.6 hour steam says and i dawdled. one thing i think everyone should remember is that the game was released 2004.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am early in the game; I will update as I progress further. Nice atmosphere (though aged), but the dialogue is stilted, unrealistic and somewhat pompous. I was hoping for something like Syberia, but this is definitely more along the lines of Amerzone in terms of controls and graphical quality (though it is full-360 instead of static cardinal directions). For those who cannot get it to run, let me elaborate on another poster's suggestion for how to make it work. Go to c:\Program…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: You'll get a highly detailed and interesting puzzle game. Cons: You most likely will have to fix the crashing problem by finding the config data inside your Steam File and change the bFullScreen=1 line to bFullScreen=0. You have to play in window mode then, but haven't seen any problems after that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses doesn't work under the latest Windows 10 updates. It's reprehensible that Valve and the publisher continue to list this on the Steam store, it should be removed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1/10 - Crashes on startup.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really recommended for technical issues, which is a pity. I remember playing this years ago, as one of the early DVD games, and it was quite entertaining to play. About the mentioned issues: the game keeps on crashing for the slightest problem: first I had to manually modify the config file so that the game could start windowed and not on full screen (a first reason why it kept crashing while clicking on "Player 1"). After that, I had to be extra careful anyway, because the crashes…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really recommend this game! Despite reading some bad comments about it here, since I love this type of games of "point and click" adventures, I decided to give it a try. If you tried this type of games before and you are searching for a "new" one, I think you should give this one a chance! This type of game is not created very often these days, so I really have to turn to the older ones... Some of the puzzles are really cool (if you like Egyptian history, you will like the details), and I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Obtuse controls, really hard to move around.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →why do steam insist on selling games that do not work ??? i like many others want to play this game but cannot if you wish to buy the game then remember YOU MUST ASK FOR A REFUND WITHIN A FORTNIGHT OR TOUGH YOU HAVE WASTED YOUR MONEY
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, I wasn't expecting something great from this game... But I was kinda wrong. This game doesn't pretend to be ambitious, and it's not, but it perfectly fulfills its work. The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses is an entertaining and educational game. The game pays close attention to historical details with quite success. Any historian, or person who likes history and, most of all, Ancient Egypt, will love it... Or, at least, will like it. Getting into the game, the gameplay for me was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are having trouble running the game in Windows 10 try the following steps. Go to your steam directory, steamapps, common and open the directory for "The Egyptian Prophecy". Locate the file Egypt3.exe and right click. Open "Properties", then “Compatibility" and "Run compatibility troubleshooter". Choose "Try recommended settings" and when done test the program. This worked for me and the game now runs smoothly in full screen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although not the worst point-and-click games out there, I did not find it fun to play. I found that i struggled locating items or would be at a loss for where to head next. While other times its was painfully easy to know what was next. The puzzles where challenging and I did like how the final boss battle happened. 5/10 maybe buy on sale if you are really into point-n-clicks
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses is a Point & Click Adventure game and actually the third and final part of the Egypt trilogy. You play the young magician Maya who has been ordered by Pharaoh to investigate the strange accidents that have recently occurred at the great obelisk’s worksite. The visuals are quite nice for a 20 year old game, the puzzles are decent and the Egyptian lore is interesting. Note: if you cannot get past the start screen, remember to set the compatibility…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY. DOES NOT WORK.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros - great graphics. despite games's age, visuals and cut scenes looks still good. - decent and intriguing story - easy to use inventory - great variety puzzles but you need patience (or check a walkthrough) for some solutions. there are also a few timed puzzles - cool musics - game also gives some information about egypt in the end. cons - dialog system needs update. - games using Myst style 360° views. this is not so bad thing but little bit clanky and hard to use in this game. -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Egyptian movies and documentaries so I thought I would like this. I just couldn't motivate myself to play this for a long period of time. I lost interest after roaming through the obelisk back and forth, watching the choppy graphics and being scolded by one of the workers repeatedly. However, I do enjoy point and click games, just not this one as much as others. Maybe if the voice overs sounded less American it would of been better to listen to. And even better if it was all spoken in an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →horrible horrible game
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good and contains good amount of puzzles and playtime. The only downside is that the game is old and has technical issues on modern systems like Windows 10/11. So the game has to be play with compatibility mode and outside from steam client, otherwise it crashes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →OMG I was so happy when I found this game. Although I could only play it in compatibility mode because it immediately crashed on my Windows 11 PC, I was amazed by the beauty and charm of this old, quite short puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →almost 20 years old, ive never been able to get it working
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just about worth it on sale. Personally did not complete it due to a failure to get me hooked via story plot. A vastly better game on a technical level to Post Mortem (another game from the same studio I played the same day.)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes on start menu.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly fun game! Love point-and-click games so I decided to give this one a try, and was not disappointed. Also love the egyptian aspect of the game. Puzzles and intriguing and challenging, but fun to solve. Very creative and interesting. Highly recommend if you're looking for a new style of point-and-click puzzle game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an adventure game with a Myst-like interface. The story wasn't the greatest but interesting enough to keep me playing. The setting of ancient Egypt was the brightest aspect of the game. The game provides history and game notes in the menus, and after reading it all of the religiousy stuff made more sense. And there were a lot of religiousy stuff. Priests, Gods, Magic, Rituals, Potions, etc. I'm not an Egyptologist, so I don't know how much of it was fictionalized, however, the cities,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I could have searched up 'Egypt' on google image search and had better graphics and gameplay than this ♥♥♥♥. 7/6 I would reccomend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work. Crashes when you try to choose a player slot. DO NOT BUY!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was unsure at first but I got it while it was on sale, and to be honest, it's looking like a magical advanture so far. The puzzles are hard and it's a bit hannoying to get used to it, but it's worth it- a very intersting and somewhat different (in a good way) Click and point game. I say go for it, if you are into old yet special games that requires much observe into the little details.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow this game! Back when I was a kid I loved this game so much. I had never seen a point-and-click game before and this was a whole new way of playing. It was very challenging aswell! Just bought it now because of the nostalgic trip it would have given me. Too bad it wont even start on my Windows 10 x64. Please Steam you are like a grocery store whos selling blue uneatable bananas for full price 10 years after the banana grew in its tree. Yes that is my best comparison. And please get rid of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was part of a bundle, so I didn't have high expectations from this game, especially after reading the reviews. It was really not as bad as I thought it would be. Sure, the graphics are dated and the voice-acting not really top-notch, but I enjoyed the Egyptian theme and atmosphere it had going. You play an Egyptian priestess in first person trying to save the Pharaoh by stopping a curse. You gain spells throughout the game to help you on your way. The movement took a short while to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible, terrible game.. Complete waste of the couple of dollars I spent on this in the summer sale.. GAH!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I generally really like point & click adventrues but prefer 3rd person views, compared to other first person point & click adventures I played this ranks at the bottom, I was so bored after less than an hour that I couldn't get myself to play it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I expected a great plot and gaming experience. However, disapointing. It crashes every time I click the "Player 1" option.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This may be the worst adventure game ever created. Well done!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work, only intro... 0/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I absolutely loved this game. It was very entertaining thoughout and overall a masterpiece. Sure it's got dated graphics, but can you really call it a terrible game for that? The story can be wonky at times, but is well done at the very least. Pick this game up if you can, you won't be dissapointed!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this in an adventure game bundle and thought that some Egyptian mythology might be interesting for a change. But no. It's just so boring. Maybe it would pick up the pace later, but I lost interest after trudging through so many empty rooms. I also dislike the 2D-wannabe-3D graphics. I acknowledge that the game is 10 years old now, but it looks too sterile for a point-and-click game and the 3D movement animation is not a redeeming factor for me. The old hand-drawn backgrounds of Sierra…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cabn only open game sometime.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very glitchy. I can't make it past the first loading scene where you choose which player you are. It immediately crashes and looks like it hasn't been fixed in years based on dates and times other people posted about the same problem. Bummer that they don't want to fix it. Would give zero stars if I could.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tried a lot of things to make this run, with every compatibility mode in 640x480, in windowed administrator mode, the game will crash the majority of the time when trying to play it, even if the settings haven't changed, and even the attempts which did get me into the game simply don't have any sound, and the subtitles are partially missing from the low resolution, this game has already taken me enough time from not even playing it, so i wouldn't really recommend this game even if the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful graphics Played on windows 10 in windowed mode on older laptop .I would not wish it on anyone with win 11. Just could not get it to work.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful cinematics, with almost superhero type gods that were really well done. Great experience nice world and captivating tale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game. Steam needs to make the previous two parts of the Egypt trilogy available.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty solid old school adventure game. It's not us unfriendly as older games in the genre tend to be, as item pickups are usually pointed out, and puzzle solutions are often (but not always) well hinted at. The game's Ancient Egyptian setting is its biggest strength, and the amount of detail really speaks to the developer's passion on the subject. There's even a pretty comprehensive encyclopedia that's genuinely interesting to read (and dare I say, educational). The story's not going to blow…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is not necessarily bad but the controls are just awful. And above all, when I almost finished the game, of course it crashed and a progress of few hours was lost. So if you choose to play be sure you save your game often. Probably this game worth just if you can buy it with a big discount.
