I'm more invested in this game than in my teenage crush history. Puzzle fans, just pick it up. Trust me. Thank you to Lunarch Studios for the curator copy. This is nonetheless an impartial review. First things first: I almost never review a game before reaching 100%. But this time I simply couldn’t wait. I. Am. In. Love. After about 3h30 on stream, roughly 3½ zones explored and 10/57 achievements unlocked, I’ve already seen enough to shout about this beautiful puzzle gem. Consider this an…

Can be easily recommended to all grid-based puzzle fans just for its content value alone. See that hours played figure up there? Only like a dozen of those hours were idle time, the rest were active brainwork. Over 1200 puzzles, and they get hard! I couldn't solve all of them despite all the hours played. And that's not counting all the workshop puzzles -- I tried a couple random ones, and they were just as good, if not better, than the ones from the main game. But I've got a few criticisms.…

A very chill puzzler that will provide many hours of entertainment. The Artisan of Glimmith is a pure puzzler. No story, no dialog, and no drama. Just a beautiful landscape to examine and a plethora of visual puzzles to solve. I have played almost 9 hours and have barely scratched the surface. I've solved around 150 puzzles and am still working in the opening area, focused on the easier exercises. Puzzles are ranked 1 through 7, with 1 being the easiest and 7 being the hardest. I am currently…

Fun puzzle game. Apparently polyomino logic puzzles. Never heard of these things before. The trailer is somewhat misleading tho, there's no pretty landscape to wander through, just an isometric view to pick the next puzzle from.

I'm approaching this as an expansion for Islands of Insight. It has perhaps the same weakness which is that there are trivially simple puzzles everywhere as far as the eye can see. In Islands of Insight, you quickly learned to skip those and head straight to...(it's been a while)...5-star and higher puzzles. Here, you're a bit more tied to doing all of them because of the way new areas unlock. But harder puzzles are around, although as yet I haven't seen any anything like the difficulty of…

There's a LOT here. If you enjoy the demo you will almost certainly get your money's worth from the full game. Only complaint is the game is shockingly gpu heavy for what it is, I probably shouldn't need to cap my fps to prevent 90%+ gpu usage on my setup. The vast majority of the time you will be staring at the close up of the puzzle and yet the game is using a ton of resources somehow? While I can appreciate the idea that all the puzzles happen in the physical 3d space of the overworld I'm…

Great to just launch for a short session when you don't know what to play. So relaxing and fun! Music is great and puzzles are handmade, not randomly generated. And there's lots of them, with different rules and different combinations of rules! Each puzzle feels fresh.

This is a nice cozy puzzle game. Easy to get in a flow state and solve them until you get tired. The ambience is pleasant, the sound design addictive, the difficulty scale well-balanced at the lower end. I enjoyed playing it and I 100%ed it in a couple of weeks and 127 hours of play, so I would recommend it. But there are a lot of unpolished sides too. First off, and most annoying for a puzzle game, the puzzles. The game asks you to never guess, but it doesn't give you decent tools to mark…

TL;DR: I think this game is a masterpiece and you should play it if you're a puzzle fiend. In my opinion, a truly great puzzle game takes a few easily described and intuitive rules and builds its puzzles out of them in clever and creative ways. Artisan of Glimmith delivers on that promise in enormous abundance. It's easy to get into, with rules that are easy to explain and understand, but its later puzzles challenge you to build a deep intuition for those rules, how they interact, and what…

I fully completed the game. Overall, I think it's a pretty good game based on logic puzzles. The logic puzzles by themselves are of impeccable quality, all 1,200+ of them. The rest of the game drags it down a little, but I think it's still worth it. The logic puzzles are all region division puzzles, but with different rules that can be mixed and matched, similar to their previous game Islands of Insight. I know the puzzle authors are well-known names in the logic puzzle community, so I have…

I don't review games, so I might have trouble getting my point across, but this game is honestly beautiful. The constant new rules that are introduced, the comfort of getting familiar with them and seeing your logic develop, the eureka moments given by the hardest puzzles, the soothing music - I can't stop playing. It's surprising how much content there is, because after 30 hours, I still have lots of stuff to do in the endgame. Buy this and play it, it's the safest recommendation I could…

Just 100%ed this, good puzzle game, with a good mix of easier levels and hard levels. One of the better puzzle games I've played, where hard levels have actually difficult logic they're testing you on / want you to discover, rather than just having the level be larger than normal (like Hexcells and some other similar games have liked to do). The inclusion of the "check progress" button is a nice way to have harder puzzles without the worry that you may have messed up some logic at the very…

Wonderful pen and paper puzzles. My only real complaint is that it's too long. I do think the game would be stronger overall if it were shorter. Also, the player should be allowed to cross out the difficulty ratings when they disagree! The Loopy chapter, for instance, clearly should be all sevens. My recommendation is to play in short bursts over a long period, but the extremely addicting nature of these puzzles makes that easier said than done.

Basically think "The Witness light" with on big asterisk. I don't mean to say anything bad about the game with that, but that is essentially what it is. Instead of focussing on the borders between squares you focus on the squares themselves. The rest follows the same procedure of continuous layering of mechanics onto the puzzles. The sheer amount of puzzles make the base price (12.79€ here) okay, at 30%+ off though definitely a good deal. Now for the big asterisk. The trailer is a big fat LIE…

A couple of years ago, some developers made a very interesting puzzle game called Islands of Insight. It was very good, the only problem was that they tried to tie it to MMO mechanics, and, well… puzzle games and multiplayer… there is a reason there are not many of those. It did not do well the servers closed, but they did manage to patch it so you can play it as a single-player offline game, and it is a very good puzzle game (probably one of the largest ever made). Anyway, they learned from…

This is a puzzle game about dividing puzzles in regions, these regions must have one of the shapes in the shape bank (on the right) or derived from rules. The first puzzles are an introduction to this kind of puzzles that's why they are easy but gradually building on difficulty and (later) complexity. New rules are introduced as you progresses, rules once introduced can be combined. There are some really clever puzzles here. The music and the environment are nice. The environment can not be…

I'm really enjoying this game! 700 puzzles in and still not done learning new mechanics. They just keep coming! The concept of the game is quite simple -- grid based puzzles with a variety of different rules. There's a fairly simple overworld that's mostly there to allow you to select puzzles, although sometimes puzzles are hidden in a way that requires careful camera manipulation to find. The overall aesthetic is very pretty too; staring at the puzzle solving screen with the serene music…

The quality of these puzzles is fantastic, so many clever ideas! Compared to other puzzle collections, I particularly appreciated the frequent use of non-rectangular grids to highlight core ideas in puzzles. The other aspects of the game (overworld, art and music, UI) are generally good; particularly I think the overworld…

Hate to give "Not recommended" review, but I don't like a direction of this game. No, really, it is a very good puzzle game. Reminds me a lot about "Witness" in both mechanics and visuals. Various rules, often combined, increase diversity very much. But there is too much of it. While many players seem to appreciate it, I do not. There are literally hundreds of somewhat different puzzles: some are easy and some are not, but it makes no difference, because there is also a button that checks…

The puzzles are fun (I've been playing along with a friend on their screen) but the game appears to be very poorly optimized. Even with the graphics on low, with the screen resolution down, the game run extremely hot for me and the discussions indicate that it's not just me. Great puzzle game. I have only 3 minor complaints. 1. The mirrors don't become gilded after completing all the puzzles designated to them, they can become gilded and then any additional display as +1 or +2 depending on how many extras there were in the area. I would prefer if the mirrors only fully completed after I cleared all the puzzles so I wouldn't be fruitlessly scanning for unsolved puzzles, I thought that was kind of their point. Quantity over quality, again. This time I'm sure it's for others, but it's not for me. I would much prefer if every puzzle that didn't ask me to actually expand my understanding of *something* was cut. It's all very well made, well supported, great quality of life, and no obvious "problems" - but it's so unbelievably homogenous, and that hurts the fun value. The discussion post from the developer blames this on Unreal Engine or "existing problems" with my system, but not a single other program (in Unreal Engine or otherwise) causes such system crashes. One thing I'd like to see added is an option for when click and drag into another already colour space, to cut through/override just that square, instead of coloring the entire area. Just an option for people's preference. Sometimes I just want to cut through another section without changing that section to this color.

The good: puzzles are decent; they start out slow and very easy, but difficulty ramps up and there are some quite interesting mechanics at play here. The "meh": while the visuals aren't bad, the "overworld" level selection is quite demanding on the GPU for what it actually is (i.e. a very pretty level selector). Whilst this is "just" an indie puzzle game it might struggle to run on older hardware purely because of this "overworld".

amazing game. A lot of fun. Only a couple of small crticisms: 1- hidden puzzles are cool and all, but it would be nice if we could at least know how many puzzles there are in total so that I can know if I missed one somewhere or not. edit: I was informed this will be unlocked later which is great. 2- The hint system seems to be really easy to abuse. I would rather it didn't exist at all or was at least disable-able in the settings.

I especially like that once it gets to the point where the difficulty of the mechanic can only be increased by increasing the size of the puzzle it starts combining the mechanics you have learned. With 1200+ puzzles and 70hrs of playtime it's full price feels like you're already…
