The shell of the game is there, it lets you watch the match which other management sims don't, and it could be great. But... First, injured players. If you aren't the direct coach (can only be the coach for a single player on your team) you cannot make them forfeit a match. Improved stats and features and the Davis cup and Olympics and doubles also is a nice touch. Highly recommend if you’re a tennis fan and even if you just like your management games, this is a lot of fun.

The reason I can't recommend it is because after 10 hours of playing I loaded it up to continue and found that my save was just not there, its as if I never started a career in the first place.

Only big issue I've had with it so far is that the player's confidence meter doesn't mean ♥♥♥♥ in game. Your player can be balanced and playing like ♥♥♥♥. Meanwhile opponent is anxious, indecisive, no confidence, and somehow be playing the best game of their career suddenly. Also tactic reports are garbage, they don't seem to work at all. There's a lot of mechanics to work with to improve your players and facility, and a lot of decisions to make with how to spend money. I'm not playing games to curse and lose hair in my free time. EDIT: No, this game is very hard if you're not a tennis pro. Somehow my player that is ranked #317 lost 18 simulated matches against #474. This is not a game for you if you're not from the world of tennis.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great simulation, with a few lacking features. Firstly, tactics often lead to a reduction is stat areas where you would expect an increase and vice versa. For example, I use a modified big serve tactic where I refine it to be more aggressive. However, the player makes less aces than when they were a counter-attacker. Additionally, I wish there was doubles, at least at grand slams, and would even sacrifice juniors if we could get that.

If you're even remotely interested in tennis and/or sports sims, you should definitely consider buying this. Well worth the price for how deep it is. I've played ~22 hours thus far, and have progressed about a year. You can go at your own pace, but I like checking in on my players and exploring the game world for new prospects from countries that don't traditionally produce tennis studs. I can say this game is awesome, for all the Tennis fans, I recommend so much, and if you aren't fan of Tennis and you're interested on the game, if you don't know anything for the sport, the game has a good tutorial. Congrats all the developers, I hope you will do Tennis Manager 2024, and one shoutout for the guy that do the Licences on Workshop.

However, given that this is basically the 3rd edition, the game looks and feels pretty pretty good. I hope that with future editions we will get a few more features and more in-game depth (still a bit shallow). Currently the fun lasts for maybe 50 hours but I see no reason why it couldn't last for hundreds of hours.

Love the addition of Fed Cup (Team Games) / Olympic Games and that you can be the captain of Fed Cup teams. Looks cleaner from last year's game, and love the addition of doubles matches in Fed Cup. Would love for that to be implemented outside of Fed Cup too. Overall much recommended.

I'm recruiting them as a trainer and confirming doesn't work. i also can't dismiss. so i'm pretty much stuck on my first game ever. Edit: yes. totally my fault. there wasn't room for another staff. that was why i couldn't proceed. it's not very clear, in that sense, from someone who's played A LOT of football manager.

The game itself apart from the bugs that you can see in the discussions it a vast improvement on 2021 which was like a uncooked cake it had all the ingredients for a good game but wasn't left in the oven long enough, i wouldn't buy this game pull price however it is not dev supported game so if your ever stuck then you will remain stuck.
