positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is definitely a trip back to the early days of racing games. its fun, but I have trouble recommending it for a few reasons. 1. The time limit. No matter if you pick course or stage, you have a time limit, and sadly theres no option for an endless mode where you can just race at your own pace to try to beat peoples times. 2. The Spotlights. The night sections of some maps feature street lights, which completely obscure your vision. Ultimately, its a good game, for a good price at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wonderful simplistic racer that takes me back to countless hours in the Arcade wasting my allowance on games like Outrun and Super Hang-On. Well worth the price of admission if you're an arcade fan. Don't expect fancy graphics, movies or an intricate story, this is all speed and split seconds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A motorcycle arcade racing game in the vein of Super Hang On that is not excellent nor exceptional nor marvelous though pleasing, satisfying and welcome. If you luxuriate in arcade games of the same veil try "moto RKD dash".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice casual game, looks and plays like a remastered version of some old retro racing classics. But I can not recommend it for that price, the game is simple and very short, it's maybe 1.99 worth at maximum. Above that it's a rip off, especially if you compare it to the value and content of some other games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like bikes? Do you like og arcade racers? Do you like girls moaning? Well, look no further.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgic players of Hang-On or Outrun, this game is made for you. Arcade fans, this game is made for you. Young players who want to discover what kind of gameplay we had before the 3D exists, this game is made for you. Hardcore players looking for a scoring game, this game is made for you. Casual players who searching a game easy to learn, this game is made for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game for a quick race. Clean and sharp interface. Decent soundtrack. Developer attentive to linux gamers in support forums. More and more, I grow to appreciate games that get right to the fun, without a lot of wasted time. I enjoy the racing game Road Redemption more, but I am playing Super Night Riders, instead. By the time I get RR up and running, I have already completed a race in SNR. Usually, I just want a quick race, anyway. One of my favorite games in the arcade was Crusin' USA. It…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was tough for me to review. I have a personal reason for liking it , which makes my review biased. Thinking as a general Steam customer I would not recommend it for the full price and the way the game is right now. However , I am recommending this game for the following reasons: - *Personal Reason* : I played the original Outrun and Super Hang on. If you are a fan of these , than you should definitively get this game. You will probably feel like me: " its good , but it could be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a retro game that has less to offer than the games it's retroing. i played all 6 track yet they all feel like the same 2 lane road. yes, it's a two lane road in the desert, a two lane road in the snow, even a two lane road at night but it's always a two lane road with no variant out side left turns or right turns. outrun had a road that would get bigger or smaller if you were on a back road or on the highway and it also had branching paths though to be fair there is a season 2 and 3 "coming…

I have a program that allows me to assign keyboard controls to mouse movements. I play your game. It's very good. I like it. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine Nintendo's Mach Rider gets a modern day remake, and you have this game. There are a few things that make it stand out though, like having the option to choose between modern or low poly aesthetics, and the ability to change music on the fly. It's a total steal when it's on sale, too. I would say check it out if you're looking fun a simple, yet fun arcade style racer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh look, its Super Hang On but in ugly, with less content, less physics and worse music. Refunded.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks slick, but is absolutely paper-thin, and isn't mechanically satisfying enough to offset how arbitrary the difficulty feels. More than once, I would run out of time before reaching a checkpoint while having genuinely no idea what I did wrong or how to improve. Obstacles (slower riders) can appear out of seemingly nowhere in sharp turns, especially with the tree-lined levels, and even at max resolution it's difficult to tell where they are in relation to the centerline of the road.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun old school style game. You only need to use four controls, well really you only need three if you don't use the brakes.(cause slowing down is bad) It take multiple tries to learn the track/course, but it's worth learning if you're gunning for the leaderboards. It's hard to follow the upcoming turns in the night roads with the city lights, and the pink streets with pink landscape. Other than those two things it a pretty solid game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The absolute best homage to classic Sega AM2 games I've ever played, nearly perfect were it not for the cluttered night stages, relatively poor variety and lack of end-timer coasting; d-pad support for menus would also be lovely.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can only describe it as a functional product Outrun came out in 1986, beats me how someone managed to be thrashed by something that came out 37 years ago It really pales in comparison in stage transitions. Tracks are far more basic. There is no transmission to worry about. Hitting opponents only really impacts you when directly behind, always forcing you to come to a full stop. 2/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is pretty much just Outrun/Super Hang-On, but built for more modern systems. The graphics are simple, but still pleasing to the eye and support most modern resolutions. Music is good as well with a retro arcade style. To me the main attraction of the game is to play a classic Outrun style arcade game with cleaner more modern graphics and no messing with emulators and stuff. On the down side, the game is pretty bare bones. There aren't a ton of different modes or anything, just six…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun and addicting game. No racing as in having to be faster than the AI, but it has a nice sort of challenge. You have 6 laps, and ca. 30 seconds time for each lap (crossing the finish line resets the counter). So you stay focused to get ahead and not bump into anyone, because obviously it slows you down. Doesn't sound challenging, but the road curves make it that more or less. Not the classical racing game, but kinda fun. The music and the road design remind a little bit of super…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's competent, but nothing above that. Gameplay-wise it's just a vastly inferior OutRun. - There aren't that many locales and even those are repetitive and completely forgettable. - The handling is simplistic at best: no transmission and very basic handling (breaking is possible, but entirely pointless - just letting go of accelerator for a second gives you full manoeuvrability). - Rival bikes' placement is completely predetermined. That's just down to personal preferences, but I think that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun little Hang-On/Rad Racer clone. For those of you who didn't play racing games in the 1980's, that means it's basically a precision racer where the goal is to make it to the checkpoints before time runs out while avoiding other racers. This isn't about doing laps like in Mario Kart or F-Zero or most other modern racers, but rather reaching the end. There's also leaderboards, but no multiplayer. Which is why I love it. It's not about competing with others, but bettering yourself.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see a lot of people saying this game is Outrun with motorcycles. I've never seen more blatant disrespect for a video game in my life. This game has nothing to do with Outrun. This game is a clear callback to Outrun's older brother, Hang-On! Jokes and semantics aside, Super Night Riders is a modern attempt at the Super Hang-On formula, bringing it to a 3D space. It controls tightly, has a sensible driving model, and a pretty cool soundtrack. It checks the boxes, it does the job just fine. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Details Easy riding on my strict machine https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1625142659 You are a super-cool bike-racer involved in organised racing. You have a mysterious past. You look gorgeous in biker-leathers. You have to compete in an endless race into the night where just one error can cost you the game. A pure arcader of fast - if not furious - design. Recommended. Summary A sexy sleek, well-oiled racer with good controls and nice variety - though flawed, a worthy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only played about a half hour of this game, but it is awesome! Especially for the price. Great soundtrack, colorful graphics, a great mechanic where the lighting changes based on what time of day it is, and extremely faced paced racing action. Reccomand to everyone who's a fan of arcade racers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Night Riders ”Nostalgic arcade racer” OK lets cut to the chase, this is Super Hang On Arcade. Not original mode where you have parts and mechanics just the straight arcade version. It does a great job of bringing that 1989 Super Hang On nostalgia back while conveying a great sense of speed to some great music. The graphics are basic but charming and the backdrops on the horizon are quite cool as they change over the course of the race. Very punishing on mistakes so you have to get it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before I begin, I should note that this game does say it requires some sort of graphics card, and maybe it does for the game to look its absolute best, but the game can work just fine on my computer (an i5 with integrated graphics that's a few years old) because the game includes options to turn down various graphical features to make the game perform right. (And I'm not even using the lowest settings yet!) So, thanks to the dev for including these options. Anyway... TL;DR: a solid time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the look and the way the game plays, but its more potential than anything right now. Needs more tracks or a campaign that takes more than half an hour. Once you've done the six tracks thats it. This really feels like a marvellous skeleton to build a great game on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I sincerely enjoyed the last few days with this little racer. Be it the chuckles of Alice on new records, be it the mesmerizing music or the sense of speed. Be it the tight responsive controls. Be it the bulkier models of the other riders as you seem to be the only girl. Sure, I started on easy because I'm a scrub that never finished Super Hang-On back in the day. But you just become better as time goes by. Becoming more and more aware of the mechanics of the game, it becomes more and more fun.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A clear homage to the classic racing game Super Hang On! from Sega AM2. It has all of the ideas but none of the charm. At $9.99 if you have a nintendo WiiU or 3DS I would actually recommend downloading Super Hang On! from the eShop for $5.99 instead, now THAT is a game for the AGES.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little retro game, visually it looks nice and the music is great! It is a little on the short side but that is okay, i still had a fun time playing it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Night Riders is a console ported low poly arcade racing game, essentially a poor rip-off of games like Out-Run and Super HangOn, only much worse. And there's that old rule of game development, if you're going to steal someone else's game concept and make a rip-off, you have to do better than the original, not worse. Worse, like Super Night Riders, because this game is crap. Gameplay consists of racing as fast as you can along sections of track, trying to hit the "stage" line before…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who loves the Hangout games I was really curious about this game, but I wasn't 100% sure if I should get it, so I bought it today on a sale and on the one hand it is good that I bought it on the sale, on the hand it is not, let me explain why. First off, the game is really fun to play which is why I wish I bought it not on the sale and to the standard price, as the developers deserve the money, BUT the lack of race tracks (in not even an hour you have seen all race tracks) makes me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Night Riders is a good throwback to the days of Outrun and the like, where the key is completing the course within the time limit, rather than winning a race. Getting into the game is very simple. Just choose your course or race, pick which one you want, choose 1 of 4 songs for background music, and off you go. The first thing you'll wonder is "What's the difference between courses and races?" Each has 6 legs to complete. Courses change the environment after each leg (Forest, Desert,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What you see on the videos is what you get. It's a simple arcade game where you have to get from point A to point B within a set amount of time, preferably without bumping into anyone on the way. It can be difficult on some levels. The soundtrack is nice and the game has an old-school-game vibe to it. Fun for a few hours, get it on sale if interested.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those games where I wish I can give a 'neutral' rating. This is a fun minimalist indie title reminiscent of old racing arcade games, complete with a 32-bit polygonal aesthetic and a decent rock/electronic soundtrack. The day-to-night transitions can look really nice at times. There are no other obstacles on the race courses other than rival bikers. It's a pretty barebones game overall, but a nice time sink. It has some majorly frustrating issues though, which became painfully…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saw this game pop up on my queue, checked it out, saw a girl on a bike getting up to 315km/h and gameplay looked nice and simple, having my own bike but my top speed was less than 300km/h, bought it. My experience so far: First attempt: Installed, booted, checked menu, nice selection of soundtracks, went to first course, pressed up arrow, accelerate is LCTRL. Lol ok. Exited game, changed bindings. Attempt 2: Started riding, smooth controls, nice feel like an improved Amiga game, used brake…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, fast paced, casual driving game. It's realy cute how the anime character sticks her but out when taking sharp curves. I appreciate the Linux support
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Annoying time limits. ♥♥♥♥ them devs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprising fun Super Hang-On clone with a clean art style and nice music. Also one of the few 3D Unity games that actually has a perfect 60 fps. Worth buying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Any die hard Hang-on fan will appreciate this game. My only gripe is that this game is overly simplified, even compared to the classic Super Hang-on. So no turbo mode or varied traffic vehicles, or special endings. With all that in mind, if you are really into Sega's old Super Scalers then give this one a shot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a love letter to a dead genre. If you're a fan of Outrun, Rad Racer, Hang on, etc you will find yourself right at home here. Super Night Riders doesn't really bring anything new, but it does refine things a little. You get excellent playability with spot on controls, a silky smooth frame rate and a visual style that is perfect for the genre. If you've never played a game like this, the basic idea is that you race the clock while avoiding your opponents, no realism, no gimmicks,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is yet another situation where I would give a "mixed" review if Steam allowed it. Pros: - Very simplistic gameplay. Easy to learn, not too difficult to master. - Two graphics modes for modern or classic. - Music fits the atmosphere. - Tracks are relatively short and enjoyable. - The game is priced very cheap. Cons: - AI is sometimes positioned at the worst places, or bunched together, forcing you to make a choice between crashing into them or swerving off-track. - There's barely any…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this. Music is good, backgrounds are nicely done, 21:9 support and looks good with the replicated scan lines. Would like the option to change the music track between stages added though. They should make new Lotus Turbo Challenge like this!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent start to what could be a good game but too short and too limited to justify even the $5.99 sale price. Get Final Freeway on android for $0.99 to get a much much better retro racing experience.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, I can't help but play it every other night or so. Though, it's kinda hard to recommend for $10. Definitely worth it on a sale though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- A much simpler and easier Hang-On, or Outrun, where the objective is to race the time, and other racers are merely obstacles. - Decent music. - Everything can be cleared in under 6 hours total if you're good enough. - Very cheap base price. - Two choices of in-game graphical styles, but they're very plain, though turning on the in-game scanline filter at least adds some visual style to the game. - The menus have some horrible interactions when trying to back out or confirm something.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun! Worth $5. Kept me occupied for about three hours to 100% it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game. Among the best 2 hours of retro game-play I remember! Thanks for supporting Linux/SteamOS <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is SO addictive I can literally ride all night with "Starry Night" playing. This game has the feeling of speed but unlike the Hang-On games here you can't crash which is so much better. Must buy
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super Night Riders is a straight up, no-nonsense, oldschool motorcycle riding game. I played using a game controller, but keyboard is also an option. You bike as a stylistic blonde anime chick over one of six locations, trying to beat the clock without running into any other rider. Starts out easy, gets hard towards the end. - It reminded me of an upgraded version of HangOn! Or RoadRash, which were biker games around the dawn of console gaming. There are two tracks to play: Course:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's no mistake what this game wants to be that is Sega's Hang-On. I'm confused on the use of "Super" though as the bikes in this game don't have the turbo that makes Super Hang-On so super. The tracks are fitting albiet a bit short side and lacking in the variety in the tack. They could take more notes from Super Hang-on in that aspect. However, the game plays as you would expect from a 3D interpretation of Hang-on. In the aspect of the bike automatically recentering when you release the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like Sega Hang-On, but in 256 bits.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a amazing and cheap little score attack title, the graphics are mild and soothing paired with some very nice, but maybe a bit few, music tracks highly reccomended
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun arcade racer taking inspiration from Hang On. Bare bones but the course race is solid! UPDATE: First off, I forget to cut games off at night occasionally so the hours for this game are admittedly quite inflated. That said, have put in a lot more time into this very fun throwback racer! I've grown to love checkpoint racers like this more than ever and this game while very straightforward, does it EXCELLENTLY! There are six different stages but there are various courses within I believe.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What i especially like about the game is how easy it is to navigate, in fact you need only either two keys on your keyboard or two buttons on your controller, speed & leaning into a curve, the rest is up to your memory, fast reflexes & instant decision making. The music is great, underscores the retro feel of the game. There are three modes, easy for practicing, classic with rather high brightness & super with rather murky difficulty & more advanced navigation options. If you like fast games,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a blast!!! haha I am a big motogp fan. I love motorcycle games in general. In motogp you need to be more careful in the way you drive. This game is pedal to the metal GOGOGOGOGOGO!!!!! Totally worth the price, it's a fun quick arcade game with a fun sound track. I would recommend it. (I played it on Linux Ubuntu 20.04 amd Radeon rx580, amd Ryzen 7 3800)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically Hang-On, but the graphics are better. If you liked Hang-On, you'll enjoy this game. (If you liked Super Hang-On, on the other hand, maybe you won't as much, because there's no turbo feature.) I played Super Hang-On through the arcade in Yakuza 0, and sank a significant amount of time in it, so when I saw this game, I was interested in having more of that high-speed motorcycle action. To that end, this game is pretty good. Short but sweet. If I had to pick something about it that…
