49 of 49 · most liked firstI'm a casual stunt kite flyer and I'm SUPER IMPRESSED with Stunk Kite Master VR. The physics are spot on. The haptic feedback is very realistic. The graphics are beautiful on the beach. The minigames are fun and challenging. I'm 100% convinced that your skill (or lack thereof) would translate accurately to real kite flying - Get better in the game and you'll improve in real life and vice versa. My daughter tried stunk kite flying for the first time in this sim/game and made exactly the same…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It may not be the biggest, flashiest VR game out there, but it's an excellent, low-cost example of what VR does best. Normally, if you want to fly a stunt kite, you'd have to first buy one for like $50, $100, or even more. Then you have to put the thing together. You might have to drive somewhere to find a windy enough spot, or wait a few days for it to get windy. You have to always be careful with the strings, or they can take forever to untangle. And if you crash, you might need to repair or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good Stunt Kite Simulator which I can fully recommend without hesitation, even for full price of 5 EUR. The physics of the kites feel very realistic and it is a lot of fun to fly the kite around, making some easy stunts, trying not to meddle yourself. If you put a fan in front of your face it feels even more immersive and gives me back memories when I was playing with my kite outside on the top of the hill in front of my home. So get ready to get some backflash in this sense. What…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're here for a stunt kite simulator, then you're going go be incredibly disappointed by this. Pulling/pushing on the motion controllers feels akin to pressing left/right on a D-pad. The kite is attached to a plane of motion which limits its possible motions: 1) If you push both controllers forward, the anticipated behavior is that the strings will slacken, and the kite will tip forward or back. None of this is possible in the game 2) If you pull both controllers backward, the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been holding off reviewing this game because I found the constant gripping of the controllers uncomfortable after a while and I didn't want this one drawback to affect my review. Fortunately the devs have now offered an option where this is no longer an issue and it has made the game so much more relaxing to play. If you've ever flown real kites you will be impressed by how well this translates to VR and if you haven't flown before then here's an amazingly cheap way to try. I mean you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's great! A genuinely polished product with a great presentation and delivers on what it promises at the price. I used to be a kite enthusiast years ago, if the devs ever expand it I'd like to see support for four-line kites and Pakistani single-line fighter kites, or maybe an environment where you fly off the back of a moving boat (good times) but this is a good five-dollar experience as it exists right now.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is pretty good. The physics are a lot of fun. I will call out there is a large learning curve. It took me a great deal of time just to get it to move across the sky without crashing. However, once you do get the hang of it, it is extremely rewarding. Looking forward to 100% this game. Should be soon! Dang rc planes are so quick!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stunt Kite Masters VR is just what it says on the box, an attempt at making a rather shallow kite flying simulator for VR, something nobody really wanted or asked for, so here it is anyway. It's by the same guys who did a 2D kids console stunt flyer game that got dumped on Steam as an afterthought, so there's that. It recreates some but not all of the mechanics of flying a stunt kite, but they have the wonderful advantage that this is the only VR stunt kite game on Steam, so until someone…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a member of an active dual line Kite team, I get a lot of flying time on dual like kites and so I was prepared to not like this game/experience. Boy was I wrong. I find myself going back to this time and time again. Sometimes I play the actual games but most of the time I just fly on the beach. The physics modeling of the kite exceeded my expectations so much so that I think I could use this to choreograph a ballet routine for competition as long as you don’t want to include Slack Line…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Who knew flying a kite would work so well as a VR experience! the simple yet reactive controls work very well and give a good feeling of the limited control of a kite. There's not much direction on gameplay, so your only guidance is the achievements which direct you to the two game modes which are both very engaging. The 'snake' game is fun and slow paced and 'outrun' is faster and more exciting. Definitely a worthwhile addition to any VR library.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun, well made and feels like a real kite. Very good use of the controllers. nice to step out of reality and on to the beach. well worth the money. It is fun to make smoke patterns with the kite and i enjoyed the game mode where you have to dodge planes for as long as you can.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Stunt Kite Masters VR is a calm, tactile virtual reality experience developed and published by HandyGames that transforms the simple pleasure of flying a stunt kite into an immersive, skill-based activity. Instead of chasing spectacle or complex progression systems, the game is built around the physical sensation of guiding a kite through shifting winds, offering players a space to relax, experiment, and slowly develop control through practice. Its design philosophy is immediately clear: this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it for less than a dollar and my first impressions are that I get way too involved when i play this and break stuff
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost like real life stunt kite. I wish the lines were longer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So you're looking for a review to see if this is like the real thing? Yes. Obviously you are not going to feel the pull of the strings but you still get some vibration feedback in the controllers. I felt connected with the kite. The inclusion of smoke is very cool and not something you can really do in real life. Another thing you gain in VR is never having to walk out to the kite for a bad launch or crash. They also add some mini games like chasing stars to create a long tail or dodging…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a wonderful experience and shows why we have and need VR. We can enjoy flying a kite within our own home even when there's no wind, or when it's raining outside or even if we don't even own a kite. :-D The music is pretty cool, too. The graphics are okay but could be better. For example the shadows of the strings are very low-res. They're only dots on the ground. The city doesn't look real at all. But still, it's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. I'm already looking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tried this out recently and its good! Love the physics of the kites and the minigames inside that is simple but quite addictive!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is surprisingly great, especially for the price. It's a bit difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it it's a real treat, especially with the pro kite. As with anything VR, it's hard to explain why the mechanics work. It just feels really good to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: This game made an avid kite flyer out of me. I bought this game for under 2$ during a sale, like 3-4 years ago. I did not know what I was expecting as I did not know dual-lines kites were a thing at the time. I played for a bit and I got hooked. It's impossible to do stunt tricks and It is very basic (pull left to turn left, pull right to turn right) but it got me curious about stunt kites, I thought it was really fun to be able to control where the kite flies in the sky. I did a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Alright so here's the thing...this is a pretty good simulation of flying a kite. It feels legit. I actually laughed because it was pretty dang impressive.But... you're just flying a kite. That's it. Nothing more nothing less. I paid less than a dollar for this and I guess it ultimately delivered on what it claimed to be so.... recommend?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Haven't played a lot yet, but tested it, works really good, recommend it. Looks good too. One improvement idea: maybe you could add an option that will let the kite fly a bit lower, so you don't have to look up all the time (this isn't the case by the way if you are doing tricks, that will automatically lower the kite). Perhaps a "relaxation mode" could be added, that does have such a feature though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good physics, not bad for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like flying kites without the hassle of trying to get it airborne, untwisting the lines, repairing it from crashes - get this hehe :) Way exceeded my expectations. I cant say Im any good at the stunts - but just flying the kite is fun and feels like you really are flying a kite.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE this game. I like the physics, I like the minigames, and the whole thing is just very relaxing. I hope they make a standalone version for Oculus Quest 2 because I have friends there that can't PCVR that would love this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thoroughly enjoy just chilling and flying a kite, not bad at all. Hoping to see more content added sometime.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played a few minutes with Quest 2 (via cable, 80Hz) + 3060Ti + Ryzen 7 5800x and it runs good, but the kite is flikering when is moving fast. Don't know what it can't be. I cannot see where I can adjust the image quality settins either. By the way, phisics and sensations are very well made. Congrats for that!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not fly stunt kites.... But I found this game fun and relaxing, and initially somewhat boring, which is good for me because it helps me unwind after a stressful day. But then I found that along with the scene selection there was different games you can play in the game. Like a version of snake were the kite tail keeps getting longer as you get more stars.. Or the game were RC airplanes try to crash into your kite and you have to avoid them and make them crash... Yea you aren't fighting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No it's not good kite simulator, but it's decent 1€ kite flying. Mountain was very bad location and city plain bad. Beach is working for me. Kite reaction near wind window edges feel strange and wind window feels too small in general. Bulling or giving slack for both lines do not affect kite at all ( except in launch ). There are few bugs how far kite / objects look like to be. It gets boring fast like kite flying in good conditions and as risk of breaking your gear is missing and thus there is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone that used to live on the beach and was an amature stunt kite flyer, I've gotta say this is fabulous. The feel of the kite, strings and handles seem spot on. I wish there were more kite options (I loved flying stacked/sequence kites) but the smoke is a pretty good alternative. I really enjoyed the mountain top. Glad I don't have to go to the beach just to fly kites anymore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →+ Wife found it fun and relaxing + Cheap experience - Controls are wonky some times and the kite will freak out. 3/5 It's a fun, relaxing, cheap experience where you fly a kite and hit little orbs. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Best $1 I've spent in a long time. Mini games are pretty fun for short distractions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very realistic kite simulator in VR with intuitive and immersive controls. Leaderboards/unlockables are broken though.

It's different and nicely produced for budget VR game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I quite enjoyed this one, I haven't flown a stunt kite in 30 years but recently just purchased a new one. This has been a great refresher while I'm waiting for it to turn up. You cant perform all the tricks you can with a real one (like bouncing it along the ground on its corner) but its really nice not having to walk over to it after a lapse in judgement :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very relaxing and realistic!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played with Acer MR Headset Purchased on sale for 40 baht (app. 1 USD) This is my review of Stunt Kite Masters VR My overall satisfaction is quite high. The low price together with the surprisingly realistic and fun gameplay combine to make this game a definite recommend. What I really enjoyed about Stunt Kite was the "snake" game mode in which your tail grows longer as you collect more stars that spawn in the sky. Doing this also lengthens your string and puts your kite further and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not counting the obvious lack of pull/tactile feedback, this is actually a great way to learn the basics of dual-line kite flying. As a game, it's a bit too simplistic, but still worth it if you grab it in a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →That's VR. It's a nice game for couple of free minutes. I can't play it too long but it's funny and you want to immerse yourself in this VR experience again and again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As simple as flying a Kite ... As complicated as flying a Kite ... TOTALLY AMAZING !!!! This is one of those games where the VR Magic shines
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Covers basic two line kite flight characteristics including line snags on objects. Hours of fun dodging RC planes and trying to make a long tail in a snake like game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A diamond in the rough! I've never flown a stunt kite in real life, but after struggling for an hour I can appreciate how much money I've saved crashing kites in this game instead. I came in with no expectations and now it's one of my favourite VR games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game amazingly captures the experience of flying stunt kites, not to mention slamming them into the ground. It's a great new VR experience. If you enjoy stunt kites you should get this. However, the graphics are pretty low-res and it should really include some supersampling options. It would also be nice if it had more content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm quite pleased with this game. I've been flying sport kites for over a decade. The basic controls of the kites feel great, and the game modes are a lot of fun. I just wish I could do some tricks like snap-stalls or half-axels. I'd love to see Quad Line kites added to the line up as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool and relaxing immersion. Enjoy some stunt kite flying! Needs more ambiance [birds, bugs.particles, dolphins swimming in ocean, whale jump...etc.] Thank you
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to say, i'm very much enjoying this game. It is quite simple, yet the feedback and controls feel pretty realistic. I have been flying stun kites for quite sometime. The atmospheres and music are great, although I do wish there were more choices for places to fly. Currently there are only 3. I also wish there were more kite choices. Increase the number of kites, and places to fly and this would be a phenamol VR title. Another suggestion would be the optiion to make wind random.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An enjoyable and relaxing experience. Thank you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good: + Very good physics + Good haptics + nice controll options (lock hold) + Nice minigames + Achievements to unlock things + One thing that made me wow was when the kite droped below the platform and its ropes were still grinding on the edge of the platform (I woud have expted them to go though the floor or just ignore the ground but they reacted to it) and I coud get the kite back up. Hmm: -> Woud love to have more natural environments (park with see, crop field, forest, Desert) even if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game that really does a great job of simulating a stunt kite. Want to chill at the beach and fly a kite? Just put on your HMD. Several kites, locations, and game modes to choose from. Plenty of options to customize your expereince. Recommended.
