Steamworld Dig 2 Speaking of great soundtracks and favourite indies, I don't think there's a recommendation thread I've done that hasn't included at least one Steamworld game, so this time let's go for Dig 2, which is a truly fantastic metroidvania. store.steampowered.com/app/571310/S...
unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 2 might be one of the best metroidvanias ever, and at a simply silly 94% off, it's well worth grabbing. I'd recommend playing the first one, it's a much simpler and shorter game. store.steampowered.com/app/571310/S...

unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 2 is so good! 💎 It is precisely the "dig for treasures, buy upgrades, overcome dangers, unlock shortcuts" game I needed! 😆 I'm also impressed with the granular difficulty adjustments you can make on the workbench (lowering or increasing the challenge level, it's up to the player). 😎

unlabelledView post →Played a lot of cool older indies lately to clear out some backlog. Runner3 - reminds me of Tropical Freeze if it were a rhythm game SteamWorld Dig 2 - 2nd time beating, still as addictive as ever Chasm & Anodyne - fell off previously but gave a 2nd go and super impressed with both! Games are fun

unlabelledView post →A sequel! SteamWorld Dig 2 released in 2017. But wow it's a huge upgrade. Better graphics, soundtrack, and abilities. Seriously top-notch animation. This held up well through the years. I would still play the original first if you can get it on sale, but otherwise this game is better in every way.
unlabelledView post →Oh man, Sno, thank you. The fact that so many people slept on Steamworld Dig 2 in 2017 is agonizing. What a kickass game.

unlabelledView post →What other terrible ways could the game have to punish us for exploring? Why not fungus that, upon touch, will explode and infect 2 squares around it, destroying the very ground you’re on? Yeah that sounds torturous. #steamworlddig2 #indiegame #letsplay youtu.be/gmoJ1r8AJto
unlabelledView post →Alright, I know that the game is telling me to go to the temple in the East Desert but I have GOT to know what is at the bottom of this mine shaft! unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 2 Never got around to finishing it back then, so I started over and smashed it out fairly quickly. Very short, but fun game. Addictive gameplay loop. Story is a bit pish. Enemies can get repetitive/annoying. Overall, digging is fun. 7/10
unlabelledView post →This game is pretty much being given away on Steam right now! SteamWorld Dig 2 is amazing and one of my favourites from the franchise. This is a very easy recommend: store.steampowered.com/app/571310/S...
unlabelledView post →Finished Steamworld Dig 2 making for my 25 game I've beaten this year. Next is Steamworld Heist, then Steamworld Gilgamech. Heist 2 will have to wait, I'm working on stuff I already own. I'll be working on Ratchet Rift Apart in the background because I've been having bad luck streaming it.
unlabelledView post →- apparently SteamWorld Dig 2 continues to SteamWorld Heist but it got me less hooked since the gameplay itself changes from platformer into turn-based. i havent finished this game, though
unlabelledView post →My game hopping might be getting out of hand. Games I've played for at least an hour in the last couple weeks: DA: Veilguard, Horizon Zero Dawn, CoD, Spider-man 2, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits on PS5. Outer Wilds, SteamWorld Dig 2, and Echoes of Wisdom on Switch. ADHD gaming at its best (worst)

unlabelledView post →i finished #SteamWorld Dig 2, the saying "there is not a single bad SteamWorld game" proves itself again, this game is fun in every way, the story is short and a bit simple, but one can only dream there will be a SteamWorld game where all the recent games are connected at last.
unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 2 [replay] Really great sequel, improves upon the first game, plus gave you new toys to explore with, the artstyle update and lo-fi town theme is a great vibe. Having a map is so nice compared to the first, it makes navigating so much better. 5/5 Shadow the Hedgehogs

unlabelledView post →70. Steamworld Dig 2 The sequel to a game I really liked, steamworld dig is kinda a mining game with a story attached. There's a bit of iterative mining game, a bit of adventure/story, a bit puzzles, and a bit metrovania. Solid game, just not GREAT.
