unlabelledView post →2. Steamworld Dig 2 Speaking of great soundtracks and favourite indies, I don't think there's a recommendation thread I've done that hasn't included at least one Steamworld game, so this time let's go for Dig 2, which is a truly fantastic metroidvania. store.steampowered.com/app/571310/S...
unlabelledView post →3. Mashina It's a little like Steamworld Dig if you've played that, but everything's stop motion, and you're digging through rubbish. Same developers as Judero, which was an absolute delightful game. This too, is a delight. Also features Jonathan.
unlabelledView post →Rusty Rabbit is out today! I've not played as much of it pre-release as I had planned (this week has been awful so far) but I've enjoyed it so far. In short, a Steamworld Dig-esque platformer written by Gen Urobuchi of Madoka Magica & other infamies It's a kid-friendly game though. Smart, not edgy
unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 2 might be one of the best metroidvanias ever, and at a simply silly 94% off, it's well worth grabbing. I'd recommend playing the first one, it's a much simpler and shorter game. store.steampowered.com/app/571310/S...
unlabelledView post →Mashina is severely overlooked, another sort of Steamworld Dig kinda game where you play as a little stop-motion robot in a garbage world where everything is all hand-made and animated with stop-motion, it's a delight and how does it only have 87 reviews, what!? That's not right.
unlabelledView post →16. Everdeep Aurora Yet another I must revisit and finish, but from what I've played it's another delightful Steamworld Dig style game, where you play as a little kitten with a drill who is trying to find her mother in a mysterious underground realm. Just take a look at those visuals!
unlabelledView post →Ah, my last round of indie news just went up on PC Gamer! I took a poke around the Rusty Rabbit demo - the Steamworld Dig-ish platformer from Nitro+, featuring Kazuma Kiryu as a fluffy bunny.

unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig 1 and 2 definitely have that "descend and return to descend further" loop. 2 is the much better game but 1 is still a great time.
unlabelledView post →This is Hudson, a new steambot I've created today to draw inspiration from a game I remembered playing: Steamworld Dig! This took a while for me to get him made, but overall, I think this was certainly worth making my Steambot! :3 #steambot #robot #robotoc #oc
unlabelledView post →I can’t believe no one ever told me how good SteamWorld Dig is… That was so much fun and I’m not normally a big platformer fan. The digging for ore for money to upgrade was such a nice feature! SteamWorld Dig is my 9th completed game this year and my second summer sale finished! LIONEL.😤
unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig is a bit like a cross between Motherlode, Spelunky and a metroidvania. Motherlode because the game owes a lot to the concept of digging down into the earth, mining minerals and then selling them on the surface for gold to buy upgrades, which then enable you to dig deeper, take on more enemies etc. Spelunky because the main levels are procedurally generated, and the general feel of your character is quite similar to Spelunky (so much so that playing one after the other causes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Steamworld Dig 2 is so good! 💎 It is precisely the "dig for treasures, buy upgrades, overcome dangers, unlock shortcuts" game I needed! 😆 I'm also impressed with the granular difficulty adjustments you can make on the workbench (lowering or increasing the challenge level, it's up to the player). 😎

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is no new art from me today, but recently, I got Steamworld Dig, which is a platform adventure game about robots known as the Steambots. I'm kinda interested in playing it tomorrow since it looks fun and interesting. Rusty looks to be an awesome robot to play as in this game
unlabelledView post →Steamworld Dig is currently 89p on Switch. I bought it in the last sale and enjoyed it a lot. Has the feel of a quirky 90s PC game. Gets a little repetitive at times, but really addictive. #CheapskateGaming www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/...

Primarily developed by Chime, who did the Made In Abyss game. It's like Steamworld Dig with Kazuma Kiryu's VA as a world-weary mech-piloting bnuuy.
unlabelledView post →Played a lot of cool older indies lately to clear out some backlog. Runner3 - reminds me of Tropical Freeze if it were a rhythm game SteamWorld Dig 2 - 2nd time beating, still as addictive as ever Chasm & Anodyne - fell off previously but gave a 2nd go and super impressed with both! Games are fun

unlabelledView post →I picked up Steamworld Dig in the Switch sale for 89p and having now played it I can confirm this is a ludicrous bargain. It's a brilliant game, a bit Metroidvania, a bit Terraria. Very easy to think "I'll just make one more trip down to the mine" www.nintendo.com/en-gb/Games/...
unlabelledView post →#5: SteamWorld Dig I thought it would be fun to check the oldest purchased game in my library (I assume this includes Vita games that are playable on PS4). I platinumed this back in 2019 but it was like riding a bike again. It still holds up and is a blast to play.

unlabelledView post →#blutoid finally gave SteamWorld Dig a try (it's leaving Game Pass). It's a cool concept with a ton of great game design choices, but it also punishes you for mistakes you can't prepare for in a way that actively discourages me from wanting to play it further.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like MetroidVania games like Hollow Knight: Silksong but the difficulty of it is frustrating you right now or way too time consuming for you right now, or maybe you’ve finished the game, then I Highly recommend trying out SteamWorld Dig. Theres two games and they’re both really fun!
unlabelledView post →might abandon Steamworld Dig. It's fine, but I'm honestly not getting anything but annoyance from it. It's not a long game but I swear I feel the minutes ticking by. The unfortunate thing is, I was gifted most of the series last year (I think), and now I'm put off trying the second one.
