The grid has one of four sizes, from 5x5 to 15x15, and has some numbers on it. You must draw a rectangle around each such number, so that the total number of cells in that rectangle equals the target number, no rectangles overlap, and the entire grid is covered by rectangles. This require a bit of math and logic, and I found that…

Square Logic is one of those that sit in a sweet spot between way too easy and way too hot. Maybe I'm thinking of porridge. What I mean is the puzzles require a bit of thought, but not too much. The primary reason for this is that you fill in the board with rectangles only, no strange shapes with bits jutting out of the sides. That makes things easier because, well, try filling a box with cubes, and then try filling a…

Square Logic delivers a clean, no-fuss puzzle experience that focuses on clarity, comfort, and sheer volume. With 200 logic grids to solve, it’s a great choice for players who enjoy structured deduction without unnecessary complexity. Each level presents a simple objective: use the provided number clues to figure out which squares are correct. The tutorial introduces the rules quickly, and from there, you're free to puzzle away at…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent and fun but gets tedious pretty fast - I never felt like the difficulty increases past maybe a few select levels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Attractive, minimalist puzzler with a good feature set (level select, multiple playable levels at a time, sound/music toggles, dark mode, and color select). Gameplay is deductive and straightforward. Runs great on Linux.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A must-have for Shikaku fans! I love Shikaku! Since the gameplay (also known as Number Area or Divide by Box) is based on logically dividing the grid into rectangles and squares, Square Logic hits the nail on the head. It is the perfect digital implementation of the Nikoli classic. The game offers 200 levels with a nice steady increase in difficulty. Sometimes it takes a moment to find the right trick, but for me, all puzzles were solvable without a guide – with a bit of thinking, you almost…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very chill shikaku game. The puzzles were well designed though somewhat easy (Only #45 of 7x7 took me longer). I wish there were more puzzles. Maybe we'll see another games, who knows? For the dev: If you ever decide for a second game, I suggest to add difficulty spikes for every part (5x5, 7x7, etc.) so the later puzzles in each section would be a little harder. I believe puzzle-lovers would appreciate that.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A minimalist puzzle game that actually offers what a minimalist puzzle should offer. Simple rules, relaxing feel, cool aesthetic, chill music and SFX and engaging levels. Just buy it if you like puzzles.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty addictive... Couldn't resist the urge to finish the game right after purchasing it. It's lacking some challenging levels, as it quickly turns into a tedious task to finish the 200 levels, which all look the same. For some unknown reason, I started having some visual bugs on the screen during the last 20 levels.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good logic based grid puzzles with 200 levels to sink your teeth into.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little logic game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's shikaku puzzles...not much more to say.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect. There are no other words for this very fun puzzle. Minimalist, beautiful music, easy to use mouse control. This is the exact type of puzzle you want to play after a hectic day. There are no other words to describe this puzzle. Works flawlessly in Manjaro Linux with not a single issue. Wish more puzzles were made as good as this one.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, fun game. Nothing super special, but good little puzzle game with soothing music.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun and relaxing game. I can clear my head and solve the puzzle, then go to the next one. Worth the money :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wanted to like this game, however there are some technical issues that still need to be ironed out with this one. Every 3-5 levels the game crashes, and it doesn't seem to be just one level that does this. After the kinks are managed I think this will be a fine puzzle game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good puzzle, a bit too easy but perfect for passing time

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice chill, minimalist puzzle game. It could do with more puzzles and upping the difficulty. Hopefully they'll continue with this title.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works perfectly on the steamdeck ⭐
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Veeerrrrry simple puzzle game, but in a good way. It feels cozy: the smaller puzzles will be done in under a minute, the bigger ones, 2-10. But that makes it very moreish - you'll be muttering "just one more puzzle before bed" multiple times.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended to everyone not versed in shikaku puzzles or looking for a relaxed puzzle passtime. This was my first time ever playing shikakus. They were moderately challenging but never overwhelming. For someone familiar with shikakus the boards presented here may be too easy. Full review: I really enjoyed this puzzle game. Most logic puzzle games are either too easy (Mine Sweeper) or too hard (Sokoban). This one is challenging enough without drowning you in an exponential growth of choices to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its logicky game i like it :) and its really pretty
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice puzzle game. The concept is very easy to grasp, and solutions gets progressively less obvious the larger the area is, while never reaching that maddening phase where you get demotivated some other puzzle games have too often. A nice way to spend a few hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid puzzle game, lots of fun. Play it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool little puzzle game. Perfect length.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No timer. No mistake counter. Just a chill deduction puzzler that gets easier the more familiar you get with its mechanics, allowing you to enter a flow state. Perfect for a simpler, meditative brain task.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this type of game. As it turns out, I do. :) TLDR: Good for when one is in a mood for something casual and soothing. It has enough challenge to keep it interesting, without going into anything "migraine level." More detailed review: The music is unobtrusively gentle and relaxing. The requirements for playing are straightforward and easy to understand. That said, some of the later puzzles can make one pause and consider how to complete them. The final solution…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good, was a bit easy for me at the end but maybe the simple rules limited the complexity per grid size possible.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid minimalist puzzle game. More content than I thought there would be. And I definitely appreciate the night mode option!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice, little logic puzzler. Not too difficult, pretty chill. Music gets very repetitive, though. You can choose between 3 different tracks, but they all loop infinitely. 5-6 hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun Puzzlegame can recommend! I might have started it once and played through it... so it might be kinda addicting... oups xP
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This hardly needs a review because it's exactly what you'd expect based on the screenshots. Highlighting squares feels very smooth and the puzzles can be solved entirely with logic without any mismarked squares along the way. The game doesn't punish you for taking a trial and error approach, though. Some games like this have an achievement for "no misclicks" but thankfully this isn't that strict. For the price almost anyone can afford to check this out for themselves.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game; I hope there are a whole lot more levels at some point. Just the right amount of difficulty; fun and relaxing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Square Logic is a fun puzzle game with a simple premise. Not including the tutorial, there are 200 puzzles and I cleared them all in 6 hours across 3 sittings. I personally didn't find much challenge to the puzzles, but the occasional one was a brain teaser. Well worth the couple of dollars I paid for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completed Square Logic, a quite solid number puzzler that was enjoyable from start to finish.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really relax puzzle game, no rush and no stress, but really pressured to do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a beautiful game! I really liked the available color and music options. I could spend hours playing...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's truly a relaxing puzzle game, featuring an elegant mechanic that enhances the overall player experience! And it's nice to have the option of a dark mode.
