It's next to impossible to actually lose or suffer significant setback, and gameplay then just consists of repeatedly setting up the same economic loops over and over again. While new mechanics are introduced with each new world, they consist more or less of just reskins on existing ones. The result was a game that was ultimately just a chore to get through.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ummm 90 minutes in and it looks like the game is half over :/ I would wait for a nice sale or a year of development. Coming from someone who loves these games. Not worth $15 atm. Very little content(3hours tops) with no real replayability.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty unique game with a different style. There are some parts that are a bit frustrating but you never get to a point where you are completely out of the game. The hard difficulty was actually a challenge too. Played the demo of the game and fell in love and played through the whole game.

The world of Illuminaria is divided into five regions, they are the Forest, Tundra, Desert, Volcano and the Dark Dimension. Your adventure begins in the southernmost region, the Forest, a vast area which once was full of wildlife and which lived in harmony with the Illumi (the people of Illuminaria). However, now the regions are overrun with monsters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ILLUMINARIA A mixture of building, crafting, simulation, resource management kinda game. You order your little robots around to build sort of stockpiles and collect various resources to which you can craft bombs, weapons, potions, gems, flowers and many other stuff. You can also research new technologies, fight monsters in dungeon expeditions and defend your bases from attacks. Furthermore to build structures to facilitate you in your quest to bring the light into a world consumed by…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is brilliant, Nobody asks me, but it is a must-have, and here are the reasons. Reasons Easy gameplay but really deep with a lot of mechanics but it doesn’t feel overwhelming and you feel like a pro, it’s like a swarm simulator… But with robots. The robots are cute and merciless, go on an expedition and you would see. Friendly with daltonic people (Even with unlucky people like me, you feel nice with every expedition, but it’s not easy you need skills and a critical eye to choose your…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good casual and relaxing game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Has Kirby vibes to me - not particularly challenging but charming in its own way. It's fun, the art is good, and the soundtrack works well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very simple yet effective gameplay that results in a very relaxing and satisfying experience managing resources. From time to time you need to either attack enemy bases by creating hoards of golems or defend your own base against hoards of monsters. The pace of creating bases and defending/attacking bases is well managed so that neither feels overwhelming to coordinate. Recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty relaxing and addictive game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I just got through the first area of the game, but so far I really like that the game is pretty accessible for the genre. The expeditions are an interesting twist and they provide a nice variety while building out the layouts on the caves. If you want a relaxing game and enjoy base building games, I definitely recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute base building game with tower defense elements. Gather resources, create new warehouses and products in explored areas, and build golems to retake your planet. I enjoyed every second of this game. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game! The graphics are great, the music is relaxing, the story line is wonderful, and most of all the devs works hard on it. It's a resource management game with the cutest little robots that help fill and move product around the map. Go ahead give it a try. Test out the demo. It's worth it. Then, go full version and have a blast :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3 hours in and I was hooked after the intro tutorial. Been looking for a game like this for quite some time. Its hella fun while maintaining a beautiful balance between challenging and relaxation. I hope to see a lot more for this game in the future. I'd say this is sort of a meld of tower defense, Oxygen not Included-esque, Idler battle mini games (Expeditions in this game) and a sweet upgrade/skill tree system! Definitely worth it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a very relaxing game. You have to build and for that you have an army of little cute robots. They work continuously. The graphic is 9/10 . The game is well designed and well thought out. It is easy to figure out what you have to do. This game is like nice surprise! I would definitely recommend it. Te music is so cute!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not my style of game but it certainly seems to be put together well and could definitely be a fun casual game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had this game on my Steam wishlist for some time, though I don’t recall why I wishlisted it in the first place. Perhaps it was the graphics or these groovy mage robots. Well I still decided to give it a try! Find my first play and some reviewing here: it's in Finnish but I crafted some English Subtitles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZNWOXtrSQU
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Illuminaria is a nice tower defender and resource manager game. I want to continue playing but I need to continue working XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This strategy game, which is intended for casual players, is surprisingly addictive despite its basic graphics. In Illuminaria, conquering all five regions is the main goal. Each has a traditional theme, like ice and fire, and the order is predetermined. To reach the ultimate battle, players must progress through a number of stages throughout the biomes. With the exception of different enemies and extra resources you need to be concerned about, there aren't many differences between the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great blend of resource management and base defense! I like that it feels comfy to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game, a fresh approach to the genre that's really fun to play, with some additions that make it unique and interesting like the combat in the"Expeditions" and the tower defense mechanics that blend nicely with the resource gathering and management. I'm just starting with the game but I'm sure I'm going to have a great time with it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, I like it. Hope you enjoyed this in-depth review, thank you.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I quite like resource management games and I find this one in particular very fun, entertaining, relaxing and fantastic. I really like the art style and the soundtrack gives a very special touch to the game experience. I have already finished the first region and I can share with you that since I played it I have been hooked. I highly recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SUMMARY: Cute but unfinished - trailer looks great but actually playing feels like a bad port of a mobile game. Worth it as a $5 solo passion project, but not as a $15 game expecting actual profits. The Good: * core gameplay loop of the resource management half is fun * lights & noises are satisfying * Story is adequate and doled out in short chunks to keep things moving * Music is adequate bordering on catchy The bad: * Actual bugs are relatively minor but glaringly obvious, things…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very basic and simple introduction to a factory type games with tower defence mechanics. None the less it was quite alright.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very nice game to chill. The workers do all the work, you just give them orders. Even without orders, they are smart.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This inst a bad game at all but I would not say its worth 15$ if you happen to catch the game on sell I would say its worth it though. Gameplay - 4/10 (Not a super engaging game but it keeps you busy) Uniqueness - 3/10 (A very basic game with not a whole lot to talk about not bad though) Artstyle - 6/10 (I like how simple the art is) Achievements - 7/10 (All Achievements are possible to get but you have to play through he game 3 times once on each difficulty
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is good. It's not revolutionary, and it barely felt like a resource management game. You could produce every resource at every level without ever really having to compromise on what you should produce. And also, the game was VERY linear, which meant that the only real thinking you had to do was how to most quickly build everything. Honestly, this game would have been better as a story game, but the story is almost non-existent. I still enjoyed this game and beat everything to the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very casual game, but I had fun. It's quite an easy, laid back experience. If you want more of a challenge there's hard mode, but even that is not that hard. If you're looking for a laidback base building/resource management game, this is a good one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring. Too easy. New machanics are add just to give some illusion that it actually have some difficult in it. Perhaps its aimed towards younger players than me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun game. I like the visual style. It combines, resource management, engine building, and tower defense elements in a unique way. I'm definitely happy with the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still has some improvements to be made, but it's really good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game, bear in mind without hurrying too much Ive made it through in 9 hours and there is pretty much no replay value. Suffers a little from low res sprites but otherwise cute little dungeon keeper / tower defense / factory game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →How is this game still somewhat unknown? It released in August and it’s still marked with the "Features Limited” tag, which implies the game won’t count towards people's games collection and achievements because not enough people have reviewed it. Well, anyway, here is my review. If you like Resources Management/ Tower Defense/Base Building but are not in the mood for something too hardcore, this game is exactly what you need. The gameplay is fun and relaxing, the story is light and enjoyable,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice story line, rich graphics. Challenging, yet fun. My daughter wants to play all the time with me. So its family friendly as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing but fun game, at the beginning it can be difficult to think of a strategy, but as one advances through the first level it becomes very clear how to play and time passes quickly while playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been following the development of the game as the art style caught my attention. So far I'm into the 3rd cave and I have enjoyed my play time. I'm not really good at strategy/resource management games but I found Illuminaria to have a good starting difficulty curve, so I wasn't frustrated when my generators blew up due to being overwhelmed by enemies and when restarting I had a clear idea of what to build first to have a chance against the invaders. I'll continue playing as I want to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little managment/basebuilder. it took about 6 hours for a single play through on normal. The gameplay loop and progression hit the spot i played the whole thing in one sitting. The story is cute. I like the poety story book feel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game manages to be both boring and tedious. Mostly because it is so very, very easy. The graphics are cute though. It is a base building game with a few mini games thrown in. You will battle through five maps. On each, you build a big base distributed across several smaller maps. You can see just a small portion of one of those smaller maps at any given time. So expect to always see only a tiny portion of your big base. The first three maps are mind-numbingly easy on the highest…

unlabelledView post →It's cute, it's simple, and it has just enough depth for a couple hours. But Steam recommending it as similar to Satisfactory is just wrong. It's very simple anf as interesting as it can be for an hour or two, it lacks any real challenge. It's polished for what it is, and also obviously made with passion, but not what I was looking for. Don't be me. Download the demo and see if it's what you expect. Still, if you think you might like a casual and cute experience, I recommend it for that.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is very entertaining, with a nice storyline and amazing artwork!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite repetitive and lots of just waiting + good art + for the most part, worker AI is pretty good about efficient trips - after the 2nd region, nothing actually novel is introduced - no way to have workers prioritize fire-fighting; if it didn't burn out more than it spreads, this would be a serious problem - the ending does not address the fact that you've been doing the same things - using dangerous power sources, including dark magic - as caused the catastrophe in the first place - you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very easy. I wouldn't say it's a *grind* per-se, there's not a lot of doing stuff to level up. There's a significant amount of just waiting; the button to double the speed makes that less frustrating than it could have been. Both sides of the combat are weirdly skill-less, there's all this stuff of different elements but it basically makes no difference at all, you can win with just numbers. Maybe on hard mode it would be different - I certainly don't want to play it a second time to find…
