positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No one had to ask me twice to buy a copy of Mewseum: Masterpieces. No one even asked me once. Where is everyone? Anyway, it has cats, every painting I know the name of, and number puzzles in the artworks. Restore these great works of art by filling in areas with the correct number of blocks, only to find that every face in the paintings has been replaced with that of a cat. Purrhaps this is an alternate universe where cats are the great artists, assuming it is also a universe where cats…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mewseum Masterpieces is a very relaxing game with an interesting subject matter and a flawless approach to game play. This game is very enjoyable and purrfect to unwind and relax to with its beautiful classical piano arrangements playing in the background. It gave me a new appreciation of classical music. Most of the tracks I have heard before, and you will probably recognize them too, but they fit in really well with the subject matter of art and masterpieces and it gave the experience a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A first look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jwe3Vdcaiw When I first played this, it still had a minor bug. Since the video was recorded, this has already been fixed, which is awesome! It's a fun and relaxing game, and while I still have a few paintings to complete, I can say that I've been enjoying it so far. But really enjoy, like just going in, relaxing, and unwinding—which we all need from time to time! It's a little like paint by number, but you move in squares, rectangles, or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In Mewseum: Masterpieces, you "paint" cats into classic artwork by solving logic puzzles. It's well-crafted, relaxing to play, satisfying to progress in, and I happen to think this is the cat's meow. (I'll see myself out.) What Works For Me ✅ The quick tutorial expertly teaches you the ropes. Shikaku puzzles are played on a grid with a smattering of numbers, and solved by dividing the grid into rectangles containing one number and that quantity of squares. It's way less complicated in-game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With its blend of logic, artistry, and accessibility, it’s a puzzle game that’s easy to pick up but hard to put down. At first glance, this game might seem like just another logic puzzle—one you've probably encountered before but never quite dared to try. Maybe the rules seemed intimidating, or maybe it just looked too abstract. But the beauty of this game lies in its simplicity: all you have to do is draw squares and rectangles. Each puzzle is a grid filled with numbers, and each number…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a nice shikaku (四角に切れ) logic puzzle game with feline-over-masterpiece theme. but don't let the cuteness deceived your, the logic is quite challenging! (i'm not so sure abt this, but it seems like ea puzzle was designed to have a unique soln?) and that's make the game fun and addicted <3 note: if you own iPad or Switch and have come across Stitch. that's also a beautiful shikaku too, but w/ non-rectangle board and non-unique solution. if you've finished all of the puzzles here, i bet you'll…

unlabelledView post →I absolutely loved this puzzle game and it introduced me to this new style of puzzle - Shikaku! I have yet to find more beyond this series of games on Steam, sadly. I enjoyed the cat versions of the art and it actually taught me about the art pieces. Looking forward to playing the next one now!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes, a man's just gotta solve some puzzles. It doesn't need to be more complex than that. Or a woman, maybe she has to solve some puzzles too. If you have some other pronouns, and you want puzzles? Yep! Here you go. Now, in full disclosure, I did kinda pillage this and a couple other cat-themed puzzle games from the played list of a relatively recent buddy of mine, eekz, who writes far more structured, tidier and more-organized reviews than I do. I just ramble at the keyboard until…

This game is such a chill little puzzle game, and I’ve been having a great time with it! It’s a Shikaku-style logic puzzle where you divide the grid based on the numbers, and each solved section gradually reveals part of a famous painting—except all the people have been swapped out for cats. And honestly? That alone makes it amazing. The puzzles hit that sweet spot of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mewseum Masterpieces is a good puzzle game and a perfect companion for getting through a long meeting or presentation—you get the idea. However, if you try to complete a large chunk of levels in one sitting, you'll quickly notice the experience getting old and the fun factor rapidly declining; it plays well again after taking a break. So, it's recommended, but not for those planning to binge-play it to the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mewseum: Masterpieces, developed and published by New Dawn Game Studio, is a laid-back puzzle game that offers a blend of logic-based gameplay and whimsical charm. At its heart, the game is a shikaku-style grid puzzler, where the player must divide a grid into rectangles, each containing a single number that corresponds to the total number of squares in that section. While the core mechanic is simple to grasp, it provides just enough challenge to keep players mentally engaged without becoming…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play here: https://youtu.be/QatiDK_vXVs The classic music is super relaxing and if you like puzzles/art I highly recommend it sometimes you get used to the numbers enough the game actually kind of flows like you feel like you're doing strokes with your mouse, but if you mess up at some point it can get super challenging trying to find where you messed up so it's like you're doing a stroke with your brain. I could definitely see this being a cool game to watch someone speed run.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very enjoyable! Not to mention that there’re cute cats in fancy/famous paintings + puzzles. What more can I say? Of course I would play this game! It's the kind of game that you can spend hours and hours playing and not even notice the time passing, which is perfect for slowing down after a busy day of school or work. I played for a few hours with the game's music (which really makes it even more relaxing and also gives off a "classic" vibe to match the game's theme), and later I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoy this type of game! It's addictive and provides a sense of accomplishment with every level we complete. I found the artwork of the little kittens' paintings very creative! I loved it! kkkkkkk The mechanics really reminded me of my childhood, like the puzzles from magazines and newspapers I did as a teenager. Along with that, it has a very captivating soundtrack. I’ll play for hours. Truly, a great game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fine. There wasn't any real challenge, but it was enjoyable and the art is cute.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sloppy technical execution causing intense eye strain. Otherwise, well, the concept is neat, I guess?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little logic puzzler in a similar style to the Mosaic/Proverbs games from Mark Ffrench, but with cats! 😻 Good for a few hours of puzzle fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mewseum: Masterpieces is an addictive shikaku-style puzzle game where each solved grid reveals a section of a famous painting. It is a very enjoyable game with satisfying and engaging puzzles. The premise is quite simple but the individual puzzles vary in difficulty and are easy to get lost in. The works of art are depicted in a good amount of detail using pixel art with fun cat additions and the classical soundtrack works well with the artistic theme. I have very much enjoyed this game and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →7/10 Shikaku with pixel-art cat pictures TLDR: Shikaku puzzle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shikaku, and for winning it you each time uncover a small region in a big picture. Pictures are parodies of some famous paintings, with cat faces instead of humans, pixelated. Lots of classical piano pieces, from Bach to Beethoven to Chopin and others. Addicting, relaxing. Good: + shikaku puzzle is quite addictive. Also, difficulty is fairly balanced here, so you won't stumble and also not whiz thru…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Something I've been chipping away after the work days. And honestly? It's been great for decompressing For me it checked the boxes for the 3 C's: >Cats >Classical Music >Chill Vibes A definite recommend if you needed something unwind with after a day at the long day factory or if you just want a chill puzzler in your library
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🐾 Purr-fect relaxation for art and cat lovers! I highly recommend Mewseum: Masterpieces to anyone looking to unwind after a stressful day. The game combines logic puzzles with a charming homage to art history – featuring cats in the leading roles, of course! A must-have for Shikaku fans! Since the gameplay (also known as "Number Area" or "Divide by Box") is based on logically dividing the grid into rectangles and squares, this digital implementation hits the nail on the head. It is the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my new go-to game for when I'm listening to something else (music, video, podcast), I love it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I see numbers, I see cats, I purr. Meow.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cozy little game, good for a little extra casual entertainment while you listen to some podcast episodes or a good audiobook. There are cute pictures of cats, and the gameplay is simple with some help if you should need it! What more can you ask for? :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay and the music make for a very relaxing experience. Very easy and enjoyable to "zone out" while going to town on these Mewseum Masterpieces.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm very close to completing New Dawn Game Studio's "Mewseum: Masterpieces". It's an incredibly simple Puzzle game with some very simple rules: in every puzzle, fill all squares, but the quadratic shapes you draw, can only incorporate one number inside of them, the number corresponding to the amount of colored squares meant to touch the numbered square and squares adjacent to it. Explaining it so verbosly makes it sound more complex than it is, but I assure you, it's fantastically simple. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →super cozy puzzler that has a greater pull than civilization games in "just one more turn".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game so much, it's the perfect mix of relaxing and engaging!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. My only complaint is that i wish i had more paintings to do :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a nice time with this game. I wish the ruleset varied even a little bit and/or the puzzles were just a smidge harder - as it was, solving them was mostly trivial enough that getting to the end felt at times more like busywork than a fun activity. However, as a chill breakfast puzzling thing this was good fun to go through!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I usually find these types of puzzle games incredibly difficult but this one turns every puzzle into several smaller ones to make them more manageable.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has what it needs, cats, art, instrumental classical music, and numerical puzzles. This bundle makes a cozy sum of its parts, with a laid back game. Don't worry, the eye strain from wondering why you're doing the puzzle wrong is normal, and everything will make sense as you find a flow. In all seriousness, I haven't noticed any bugs, and you can change the cursor to click or hold mode for painting the puzzle in. When I played the demo, it took me 50 minutes to complete the first…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No bad for this style game, would have been nice with a few more pictures to complete, bought on sale
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →picross if it was awesome + whimiscal music.. 12/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am positively tickled, this game is far more addictive than it seems
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely purrfect! I got 15 hours out of a $7 game. This is a fun little puzzle game. I thought that this would be a 5 hour game, but I was wrong, and I am glad that I was. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and relaxing. Puzzles are on the easier side. Finished it in about ~15h.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an enjoyable, relaxing number-puzzle game. I played the demo and liked it enough to buy the full game, and I don't have any complaints. If you play the demo and want a bunch more puzzles like that, it's well worth it. It's also been nice having a game where the achievements are guaranteed by progression, there's no speedrun achievement or anything weird, you just have to be persistent and you can get them all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's not a bad game, I was just hoping it would be a little more challenging. It's a good option if you're looking for something relaxing to play while listening to a podcast or watching a show.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great introduction to Shikaku.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok game, no progression so the very first puzzle is as difficult as the very last, but still great to play while watching a show or listening to a podcast.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A calm puzzle game ideal for staying occupied while listening to an audiobook (or while just relaxing to the game's very pleasant classical soundtrack of old favourites). Solving each section reveals another piece of an old master that's been charmingly 'catified', with achievements for a quadrant popping about every seven or so solves. The puzzle sections aren't too difficult and the incremental reveals/regular achievements provide a soothing sense of steady progression. If you enjoyed other…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A clever puzzle style that makes it feel like you're painting if you squint really hard. Great to listen to a podcast with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very relaxing puzzle game. The classic music instantly calms you down and getting into the flow of filling the pixels almost feels like painting yourself. The museum style with introducing some classic artwork adds to the positive experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun little puzzle game, exactly what it says on the tin.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pleasant, chill gameplay that can be picked up and put down easily.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very chill casual game. Not overly difficult. Love the music in the background. Perfect for just relaxing and taking things slow
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Normally im trash at puzzle games. my head has a hard time thinking outside the box or i take things too literal. but for somereason i just click with this game, like im a bloody savant or somthing. This game makes me feel smart and cultured 10/10
