unlabelledView post →Sprawl Zero is out. By the way, LAETA in the game is voiced by Tasch Ritter, who is also Hannah's voice actor. I played the demo and I was like hmmm... wait a minute. It's pretty cool. Go play it

unlabelledView post →Rolled credits on Sprawl Zero! Six hours of very fun game. And then you unlock a proper NG+ mode (with swarms of high-level enemies) and an unlockable Halo Skulls-ish challenge modes with unlockable rewards. Some rough edges (enemies clipping into walls and getting stuck) but nothing unpatchable.
unlabelledView post →Overall, Sprawl Zero is an incredibly cool game, you can catch bullets with your gravity glove and send 'em back at enemies, every moment of this game is full-on and it doesn't let up. If you want a seriously good retro FPS, if you crave spectacular violence, I can't recommend it highly enough.

unlabelledView post →Hey folks, in more than a little bit of pain today, my back has really been at me this week, and had a lot of housework to catch up on. I'll be streaming shortly, sorry for the delay. Today will be more Sprawl Zero, because holy shit that game! :o
unlabelledView post →The Sprawl itself is a gargantuan cyberpunk megacity, once you get a couple of areas deep, the sense of scale this game is playing with is immense, the environments are jaw dropping in places, and it's definitely invoking Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, so the visuals hit all that much harder.
unlabelledView post →More SPRAWL zero today!! Pretty safe to say that this is my next speedrun project. I'm finishing up the game today (3 levels left) and beginning routing sometime after. this game is seriously so fun. i've been waiting for an FPS like this for years. -> twitch.tv/bryonato
unlabelledView post →Weirdly, I just noticed that the actual launch trailer for Sprawl isn't on its Steam page. Baffling! This is what sold me on the game; www.youtube.com/watch?v=OItz...
unlabelledView post →Oh yeah, if any of you have been enjoying Sprawl Zero or the original Sprawl, Metal Eden (by the Ruiner devs) is basically the game that exists at the intersection of those two. Wall-running AND bit smashy powers. It is also *very* pretty and only £4 right now.
unlabelledView post →If you like the 'no reloading, always switching gun' dynamic here, too, check out Severed Steel. It's very good and in a discount bundle with Sprawl Zero. Game recognize game.
unlabelledView post →Almost everything in this bundle is both great and super cheap. £1.45 a game if you buy 7 or more. Amid Evil, Dusk, Stop Dead, Post Void, Sprawl and Hyper Demon are rad FPS games. The Dread X collections are fantastic indie 'cryptkeeper' style horror anthologies. Pathologic 2 is art-game hell, etc.
unlabelledView post →Damn Sprawl zero feels so RIGHT on steam deck setting the graphics to low and limiting fps to 30. Feels like I'm playing the best game on PSP
unlabelledView post →Oh jeez, tomorrow's Sprawl Zero, Wanderburg and Thousand Hells, the new game from the King of Dragon Pass dev. Oh, and Halloween: The Game. That's looking rather good too. Always many games. So many games.
unlabelledView post →I'm gonna have to properly process my thoughts about it tomorrow, but holy shit, the Sprawl ZERO demo was INCREDIBLE! I didn't think I was missing a craving for a 2000s aesthetic fps, but that was extremely satisfying. Damn. if your fps game has EVERY gun look oversized, you made a game for me!!!
unlabelledView post →youtu.be/4olOZIH1P3Y?... Thinking about Sprawl Zero again, especially how it just might have the best main menu track I've ever heard in a game
unlabelledView post →Finally picked up a new game instead of playing the same few over and over lmao This is SPRAWL! It's basically if you ever played the "Matrix" mod for UT2004 mixed with the combat flow of DOOM (2016) Pretty fun so far, I am definitely rusty with faster FPS games though haha
unlabelledView post →It's really refreshing to play a game (Sprawl Zero) that actually has real movement tech and mechanics, rather than the typical thing where ppl put 'pretend bunnyhopping' in their game that just requires you hold a direction and keep jumping.
unlabelledView post →Got any Steam Next Fest games y'all recommend? So far my highlights are: Valor Mortis Iron Nest Order of the Sinking Star Sir, we have an orc problem Sprawl Zero Echo Weaver Brigador Killers (though I played that before) I also played a bunch of really shitty game lmao
unlabelledView post →Take the "not recommended" vote with a lot of salt. I was initially going to reocmmend the game but then my review ended up mostly focused on the downsides and I felt the need to change the recommendation accordingly, since those ended up being my main takeaways from the game... Now onward to the review! --- SPRAWL often comes across as a shooter that does not really know what it wants to be. Do we want to be a twitch shooter like Quake? Do we want to be a slow-mo focused shooter like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't like how the weapons feel in this game, it's like you're always shooting underwater waiting for the animation buffer to finish up, your workhorse guns feel far too weak (your shotgun has 0 range and long delay between shots, your smg eats ammo like crazy and is only good at shotgun range anyways), your heavy weapons all feature self damage is some form and yeah this included the machine gun which makes your movement slow to a stand still making you enemy bait, which is a weird choice in…

unlabelledView post →SPRAWL is a surprisingly fun modern take on the boomer shooter formula. Some people compare it to Ghostrunner, but that never really clicked for me it feels much closer to a blend of DOOM and Mirror’s Edge, wrapped in a gritty cyberpunk setting. The game opens strong with an intriguing premise and a world that feels like it has a lot more going on beneath the surface. The atmosphere, visual style, and bits of lore you uncover are genuinely compelling, and I couldn’t help but wish the story…

unlabelledView post →this is maybe the most 5/10 ok game I've played in a while. The enemy AI sucks The only thing really keeping it together is the visuals and the music but the game pretty quickly becomes bland industrial corridors over and over again the weapon rooster is pretty bog standard with nothing really standing out at all (also just to say sprawl zero looks like it has much much more sauce and I am excited to see if it lives up to that)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Def recommend Power by the Apocalypse's Sprawl and Masks!!! Loved playing those systems <3 And an honorary mention to MOTW (monster of the week). Great game for short stories!

unlabelledView post →I stumbled upon two games on Steam with AI-generated store page text. Dagger Directive and SPRAWL Zero. I don't know why someone who "isn't" using it in the game would use it in marketing.
unlabelledView post →The gameplay 6 hours in is a repetitive feedback loop, I didn't bother clearing the game in its entirety. Let me a paint a picture. This is a game about killing enemies. They attack you, so you attack them back to stop them so you can reach the goal at the end of a level. You often need to platform across buildings in the process. You have a slow down ability that allows you to instantly kill enemies with a headshot. This ability is limited by a resource because of its immense strength.…

unlabelledView post →my playtime says most about what I feel in regards to this game. I didn't finish it, unfortunately. It started off fun with an interesting premise of wall-running boomer shooter action + slow motion with an emphasis on weakpoints that acted as your way to heal/gain ammo etc. In the middle of Episode 2 and on, the ratio of enioyment to frustration started tilting towards frustration and annoyance significantly. Wallrunning went from an interesting attempt at a different kind of navigation to…

unlabelledView post →This is quite a nice game with great gameplay and absolutely standout music. Its rare that I praise music as much as in this game but to be frank, its a 10/10 for me and believe me, I rarely ever give such scores since thats pretty much as close to perfect as it gets and out of the top of my head one of the very few other games that would get such a score would be Unreal Tournament. Anybody who knows me or my game soundtrack related work probably knows what it means when I praise a games…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, on the plus side, I have some artful baseball metaphors in tomorrow's Sprawl newsletter that will perhaps land with extra resonance between Game 6 and 7 😆
unlabelledView post →There's some great GITS aesthetics to enjoy. But the gameplay itself is neither bad or good. Starts all right, but becomes run-of-the-mill circle hopping and weapon swapping. All done much better elsewhere. Even with it's short playtime of 4 hours, it overstayed its welcome. I kept thinking I wish there was a better game attached to the soundtrack and environments. Luckily Sprawl Zero is exactly that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sprawl Zero just has the sauce doesn't it? Excellent movement, crunchy gunplay, bullet time, gravity glove... just wish the levels were a little more visually interesting, but I get they're pulling from their inspirations. Bytesized soon on this one and another game.
unlabelledView post →This week I played Urban Sprawl. It took 3 hours and was stupendous!
unlabelledView post →i liked when father said "watch your six, seven!" and sprawled all over himself i mostly played this for the urban and industrial environments, and those looked pretty nice. combat and movement are fine, although i would've preferred if enemies had become more mobile or otherwise threatening instead of just spongier over the course of the game. it's also too easy for a long time, and i wouldn't say it ever becomes truly challenging. story exists (didn't read any of the codex entries sorry),…

unlabelledView post →Had this game buried in backlog for some time ...until i played demo of SPRAWL Zero, which was so AMAZING it made me wanna check out first game. So i did, and it was actually really fun! Solid gunplay, wall running, atmosphere of Ghost in the shell, S tier music! I wish there was few more locations, but oh well, there is sequel coming which shapes to be the best shooter of the year.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short but very intense. Ghostrunner + DOOM with a bit of Half-Life vibes and a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DnB soundtrack. Very impressive for a game made by essentially 2 people. The arena at the end of e3m2 can go ♥♥♥♥ itself tho.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →mid. misses its own gameplay mechanic of weakpoints and bullet time to become a bullet sponge shooter less than half way through the game. a one trick pony that's too repetitive, not fun. there are better boomer shooters out there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the better movement/boomer shooters out there. Great OST and level design
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short game, but well worth playing through it on sale. My only minor gripe was that the difficulty balance was iffy. The first 2 episodes are mindlessly easy, whereas episode 3 takes you by surprise with how much harder it gets. Once you adjust, you can make it through to the end just fine. Awesome visual aesthetic and music, give this one a whirl if you love cyberpunk visuals.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the worst boomer shooter i've played but far from the best. Only decent in all respects to guns, movement, colour palette and enemies plus the bullet time gimmick simply isn't enough to let it stand out enough from others i've played. Solid C+ choice to kill an afternoon but don't get it for anything more than around £5, its simply nothing worth anything else.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game would be very fun if not for it randomly dropping mouse inputs all the time. The bug has been known about since the game's release and it has not been fixed as of the time of this review. I put up with it for 3 hours because the gameplay is really good but I just cannot stand it anymore.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat Sprawl Zero. Turns out limiting you to one gun was an amazing idea. 'What if every early 2000's shooter idea was in one game and all the levels were big and awesome and it was in a cyberpunk megastructure' is some shit you'd hear out of your friend who's questioning while reading BLAME
unlabelledView post →Post 1k celebration clarity, time for stream schedule! I might have finally beat MGS4 but I'm not done with the series as I move onto Peace Walker! And I'll be playing a new game, SPRAWL Zero too! I was a fan of the first SPRAWL when I streamed it and I dug Zero's demo, so I'm looking forward to it!
