unlabelledView post →Team Fortress 2 is a serious game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i am shocked, SHOCKED!! just for fun, booted up Team Fortress 2 on xbox 360, immediately got into a game ON A SUNDAY NIGHT And despite not having played TF2 this decade, I wasn’t complete dog water! Actually got my team some points!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never expected to end up writing a review for this game after clocking more than 10 000 hours, but here we are. Before I even had a Steam account, Team Fortress 2 was already part of my life. I grew up watching gameplay clips, GMod videos, and all kinds of community content that left a lasting impression. By the time TF2 became free-to-play and I finally jumped in myself, it already felt familiar. Now, after playing for nearly a decade, I can confidently say that TF2 is my favorite game of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Team Fortress 2 is and will always be my most favorite game, the one game I can keep playing endlessly and have all kinds of fun with. However, the newbie experience is absolutely horrendous and I cannot recommend it to new players until Valve finally does something about casual matchmaking. The vast majority of friends that play this game do so on community servers where it's manageable and without many issues, casual is talked about as a terrible experience with unbalanced teams, games that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TF2 is obviously a cult classic and arguably part of the top 10 best PVP games ever made. So why the negative review? As a warning to new players who are actually thinking about giving the game a go in the year of our lord 2026: I don't know if would recommend it. You know how in PvP games there's always the guys who are pretty good at the game, who have like 2k hours and stuff? Well TF2 has been out for almost two decades. The "good players" don't have 2k hours, they have 30.000. That is not a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is easy, usually play with one hand only for the challenge, other hand is, well you know where. Wife left, kids as well so I have my full attention on this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Welp, as of making this review, Team Fortress 2 is officially 18 years old. That's the legal age of drinking where I'm from (Demoman would be proud). That's wild to think about, honestly - how this pointless war for gravel/torturing a rotting old man has outlived all the actually pointless hero shooters that came after. And that's no mistake: in it's base form, it's one of the most timeless games to have ever existed. The gameplay is fast-paced and exciting, with constant action around every…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game runs great even on a laptop it's fun and chaotic, love it. The community is gay, racist, sexist, gay, artistic, gay, furries, and love men. It is a 10/10 The Big Cheese approves.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still the gold standard for class-based chaos. Matches fill quickly, the community servers keep things fresh, and the core gunplay remains timeless. Hopping in for 20 minutes often turns into an hour because it’s just that fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Team Fortress 2: My experience. One Match: not doing too good as the Sniper but allies and opponents are supportive Another Match: One person kept saying the N-Word I was told I would be brutally murdered tonight I was also told my parents tried to drown me as a child I was also told that some furry will molest my pet dog All of this happened within 2 Minutes of the match 10/10 very fun experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I downloaded this expecting an old shooter. Instead, I found one of the funniest multiplayer games I've ever played. One second you're pushing the objective. The next, a Spy you've trusted for the last 30 seconds politely introduces you to his knife. Every class has so much personality that you end up picking favorites for reasons that have nothing to do with the meta. The game doesn't take itself too seriously, and somehow that's exactly why it has lasted for so long. Sure, it's old. So…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't hate TF2, I want it to be better. The game doesn't get proper updates. All new content is made by the community meaning Valve doesn't put any effort into one of their most well known games but still make money in spite of that. The new maps bloat the game, increasing the file size only to be nearly abandoned two weeks after release. Quickplay was better.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After spending over 10,000 hrs in Team Fortress 2, It’s finally time to give my honest review. Even in 2025, TF2 remains surprisingly strong. For a game released in 2007, its community is still thriving, and Valve continues to keep it alive with updates, events, and consistent support. I’ll admit I never fully mastered the game, but its strengths are undeniable: unique classes that genuinely change how you play, matches that don’t take themselves too seriously, and a level of teamwork that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, some of the people responding to this are saying 'This is proof that there's no mainstream appeal for VR or VRchat'. Let me spell it out: It is currently the 26th most popular PC game on Steam, out of 35,000. Below it is Team Fortress 2, above it is Hearts Of Iron 4 & EA Sports FC 26.
unlabelledView post →While tf2 can be a funny and fun and cool game to play, overall the game is not beginner friendly whatsoever and the community is very toxic. There is a ♥♥♥♥ ton of sweats/tryhards and people who will dominate you and emote every single time they kill you. People also often abuse the votekick system just to get rid of players they dont like, the voice chat is either filled with bots spamming loud music, playing porn sounds or whatever, or just being straight up racist and rude to their team…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One game I always wanted to check out but never did was Team Fortress 2, but now I’m worried that it’s too late and the game won’t be playable anymore

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Valve needs to fix the idle bots. I can barely ever find a full game in casual anymore because these basement dwelling losers set up bots that just sit there and don't pick a class so you can't kick them from the game. Let us kick people that are just sitting in the queue without choosing a class, and the issue goes away for the most part. Or even better, don't let them sit in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ queue for like 10 minutes and kick them out in like 2 minutes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I join a game a guy tell in chat that hes a fan of hitler the whole server start focusing him and we end up camping the spawn point with the enemy team just to kill him and everytime he dies the whole server start dancing 10/10 would recommend

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Touhou and Team Fortress 2 holding the line against the push toward verisimilitude in video game character design by reminding us what it's TRULY about: putting people in really stupid hats.
unlabelledView post →Your opponents are Max (from Sam & Max), Strong Bad (from Homestar Runner), Tycho (from Penny Arcade), and the Heavy (from Team Fortress 2) -- and each brings their own personality to the table. Their banter is as much a part of the game as the cards they play.

unlabelledView post →After about 10 hours in Team Fortress 2, it’s easy to see why this game has stuck around for so long. Even as a new player, TF2 feels surprisingly alive, chaotic in a good way, and genuinely fun—despite its age. The first thing that stands out is the class system. Each of the nine classes feels distinct, not just in weapons but in how you think while playing. Switching from something straightforward like Soldier to a support role like Medic completely changes the experience. In those first…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought Team Fortress 2 was just another multiplayer shooter. I was wrong. The graphics are cartoony. The characters are completely ridiculous. The gameplay looks simple enough at first. But then you actually play it. And somehow, every match turns into a story. One game you're coordinating with your team and pulling off the perfect push. The next, you're getting repeatedly killed by a Spy named something completely incomprehensible while a Soldier is screaming at everyone…

unlabelledView post →after 13 thousand hours in this game, all I can say is it is very strange, but alas, it is fun at times. edit: my favourite game mode is control point, not attack/defence, the one where the battles/matches are the longest, (besides CTF) where I've raked up the most points, while I try to motivate my team with words like 'DON'T GIVE UP MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS, WE CAN STILL WIN THIS, WE JUST NEED TO KEEP TRYING, FOR THE GOD EMPEROR" and stuff like that. might edit more later.

unlabelledView post →What a wonderful game. TF2 is a game that has defined an entire genre of videos games, and was the staple of many young gamer's libraries for over a decade now. At its base level, it's a wonderfully fun game, despite how few updates it's received in recent years. I would say it's damn near a perfect game. I love it with every fiber of my heart. Now, how could I say all that, and not recommend this game? The community. People have continued to cling onto this game for years. It's been played…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are thinking of buying this game, this will happen: Step 1: die over and over, you suck Step 2: die less, get a little bit of items Step 3: become a pyro and get more kills Step 4: realize pyro isn’t as fun and requires less skill Step 5: get better and better Step 6: congrats! You made it! You are a medium skilled player (you’ve started too late to ever be a top notch player) These steps can take a really long or really short time, it depends on play style. The community is amazing,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →there is only one video game ever and it is Team Fortress 2
unlabelledView post →Team Fortress 2 is a timeless classic, quite possibly one of the most fun PvP shooters ever made. Which makes it such a shame that Valve has effectively left it to rot. I understand that this game is ancient by multiplayer standards, but at the very least I would like it to have been left in better shape than this. While technically playable, the current state of matchmaking is absolutely pitiful. Casual matches are significantly lower quality than the old quickplay system. Frequent stomps due…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game helped me through my child falling down a well, they were stuck down there for like 3 days or somthing and i didnt really want to stop playing to help them, but then my power went out because one of them started eating the tubes that the internet is, so i had to help them so i could continue playing this game, the fire department told me that i was a bad parent, i dont really care because i can help my team win the flag or whatever this game is about i havent played much.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been playing this game on and off for almost 2 decades now. One of the best PC games ever made. Valve just makes bangers. If you ever get the chance to play a saxton hale server with a full lobby, make sure you do.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I luv launching this game, waiting 7 minutes every time it loads something, somehow joining a server, instantly receiving targeted insults from Tiktok-brainrotted furries, while wondering how they even had time to acknowledge my presence, occassionally getting accused of being a bot, despite my aim being worse than of a blind person with tourettes, unlocking random achievements which don't align in the slightest with how I've played, eventually my laptop starts fuming and electrocuting me,…

unlabelledView post →Almost 10 years since a MAJOR update. btw this is the game that makes Valve's profits, so for them to neglect TF2 for this long is a slap in the face for the entire fanbase. I would still recommend TF2 to any person at any time, but the way Valve has treated their most loved game is a heartless act on their part.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TF2 is a great game - unless you play Casual, which just so happens to be thrown in your face with a big green button. Aside from that, terrible cosmetics, warpaints, unusual effects, and maps have done nothing but degrade a timeless art style and, for some, performance.
