positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of some of the classic flash games from back in the day like zombie horde3! Pick it up when it goes on sale but.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very generic top-down shooter. I got bored within an hour.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got the game on sale and didn't play it until I beat other games I had in my Steam collection. I did have fun playing the game and did beat it so here's my review of this game. The game is pretty much a guy who gets into a zombie apocalypse and has to fight zombies, monsters, and robots to reach the end to find the source of the zombie apocalypse. The game gets you guns like the pistol, shotgun, rifle, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, laser rifle, and flamethrower from what I remember. You…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the low price and the gameplay shown, I couldn't play the game due to poor control configuration. Firstly, there's no PlayStation 4 compatibility, and there are no presets for using a standard controller. Furthermore, while configuring the game, I accidentally assigned the mouse as the escape key (because the game doesn't explain how to do it correctly), which immediately corrupted my game because I can't access any settings. So, I basically wasted money on a game I can no longer play.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As this game is cheap i will cut it some slack however these points annoyed me. 1. Guns somehow become weaker as you upgrade them or enemies become more spongy, I cant tell. 2. Weapon upgrades are seriously expensive for context you get about $300 to $500 per level but lvl 1 upgrades start at $300 and go up $200 each time. 3. Boss enemies are massive bullet sponges and eat up all your ammo, for context if the starter weapon didn't have infinite ammo this game would be extremely difficult…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short game, probably less than 2 hours for a fast player, but it is a lot of fun and well worth grabbing at a heavy discount or in a bundle
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had loads of fun with this game, except for the F***ING BUG THAT DELETES ALREADY UNLOCKED COLLECTIBLES AND PERSISTENT WEAPON UPGRADES. For that and that alone I give thumbs down. gg no re, unironically.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →awesome game ....got nervous cause after install kept saying the launcher in missing for splatter_Linux ....after some digging proton 9.04 runtime fixes it and is playable after that....yes i am on linux fyi
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is super fun! If you like top-down shooters, don’t miss it 6/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun little cheap game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crimsonland meets Max Payne I guess, it's good fun for an afternoon or two if you're in any way interested in top down shooters
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for $1. It's pretty fun for a cheap game. Kill zombies, and other creatures. Stay alive. Fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was quite fun with few frustrating exceptions. Until mission with train... it crashes every time during ride when pack of zombies appear. Well, im not going to recommend it since I cannot even go further.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Max Payne vs Zombies (just without the time-stop)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, top down, madness. I found this to be quite absorbing, as well as challenging, without being frustrating. Actually had a few well placed jump scares. Haven't tried multi yet, but single has been great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's nothing particularly wrong with the game and it does show up with deep discounts, but it's just not very interesting. The gameplay feels like a basic formula from 20+ years ago. The story is just some loose monologues between levels. The level art is more polished than average, but it's it's not enough to recommend. I think there has been just so much development in the top-down shooter space that this doesn't pass the entry barrier any more. You get a full idea of everything the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/Jp3YXUEyym0 Functional as a twin stick shooter but lacking weight to the level design leaves a lot of awkward pacing with limited pressure.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Imagine a really terrible top down zombie shooter where everything is jank, unpolished, and frustrating to play. Now imagine the exact opposite and you have this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i really don't care for top down games but i love Zombie games so i decided to give the game a try and i wasn't disappointed. My only peeve was that for such a cool game it was just way too short. A few more levels with bosses would have been nice.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As one small note, I got this game as a gift from a friend, however I'm not marking this as free, because someone did pay for it in the long run, I only mark review copies for free. But I digress. Onto the review (Steam should give another checkbox option to where we can check if we got the game as a GIFT rather than by getting it technically for free It's rare when a company's first game is a banger. as an indie developer myself. Most are a mixed bag. But with a good amount of preparation…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, this one surprised me! I admit, I got it in a bundle with another game, but I played this one first and it was very fun. What at first looks like an older web browser game ended up being quite fun and enjoyable. I played the game over maybe 3-5 days, an hour or two at a time. It's easy to pick up for short bursts. The story mode is good and there's progression, upgrades, etc. Definitely worth a few bucks on sale or even for the full seven bucks if not on sale. I'd recommend it! Only minor…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought this was my kind of game, apparently not. Due to visual style and lighting it is Very hard to discern when you are backing into terrain which is a solid object, so you'll get caught a lot when backing up with zombies chasing you. First weapon upgrade of 20% damage didn't change how many shot were needed to kill any of the zombies. Pointless. Played through the first area on Normal difficulty, after completion the game froze while loading a cutscene.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →guns sounds and zombies sounds very underwhelming, not immersive.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A top down shooter where Max Payne travels to the crimsonlands to kill zombies, fat zombies, toads and other monstrosities. As expected, he never loses his cool or his fedora hat. The story is cheesy, and that's not a problem. It looks and feels like a B movie. The game is action packed with a campaign that has different sorts of missions, sometimes with a companion, some others manning a gun, in streets, in caves, etc. The price is so cheap that it honestly feels like a steal.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good regular zombie shooter for 2-3 evenings. Splatter has a good set of weapons and enemies, even though the later one could have a bigger variety. The difficulties are well-balanced. You don't have to economize ammo if you play on low and medium difficulty. Yeah, such thing as restricted visibility is something that makes you play more carefully even if you are full-armed and your health is at maximum. The storyline is regular for a zombie horror. It's unnecessary to wonder. The game is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →keywords: horror noir, private eye, ultraviolence, on the road, unusual suspects, trenchcoat + fedora, valid cynicism, alcoholism You're used to living in shadows. A previous existence spent as an instrument of war laid bare the value of cowardice: bartering your life over those of your comrades against the will of your enemies to conquer, and it worked out pretty well. Something about roaches and the apocalypse? Well. It's that kind of die-soft approach that's gotten you this far but what…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is s""t. plain and simple. dont even spend 1p - not worth HDD space. ridiculously poor.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short great top down zombie shooter
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →interesting top down game. Quite challenging (HARD) in highest difficulty. However, the asking price is fair. You will have a good time imo,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good top-down zombie shooter
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite Fun and simple, and can be challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great story good action
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Splatter isn't a great game, but it's worth a single play through if you like the zombie apocalypse storyline. Max finds himself in a situation where zombies have taken over the area and it appears to be centered in the city. Instead of heading the opposite way, Max takes matters in his own hands and heads straight into the belly of the beast. There are approximately 12 different missions to take on with about a half dozen weapons ranging from handguns to rail guns and everything in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a top down zombie shooter that kind of reminds me of the cheesiness of the original Max Payne when in cutscenes and story telling. It is about 4 hours of playtime if your doing the side stuff but can honestly be done in 3 hours or a little more. For the price it is worth it if your looking for a quick one with a little bit of charm, an unsatisfying ending, and a protagonist who feels like he was pulled from a completely different story and doesn't fit in at all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Splatter - Zombiecalypse Now is a story driven 2D top down action shooter set in a film noir/zombie apocalypse setting. Gameplay consists of some light adventuring and almost arcadelike zombie twin-stick shooting from a simplistic top-down perspective. The 2D graphics here aren't spectacular but the game is well fleshed out... character movement is pretty slick and enjoyable, in fact this might even have possibly scraped into a "yes" recommendation from me but the developer must have thought…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, but entertaining :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Splatter has a weird amount of charm that it really shouldn't. It's a simple top-down shooter, with a short(2 hours if you're fast, up to four if you take your time) story mode. The plot is threadbare at worst and B-movie-tier at best, but the extra-edgy 'humanity is a dark cesspit' protagonist will either grate on your nerves or leave you chuckling. The graphics are dated and lacking, and the music and sound effects are mediocre-to-poor. Despite all of that, the game feels good to play.…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good Story, very gorey
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very good top-down zombie game from a small studio. It is quite short, but very engaging, with a well-made gameplay system, a good variety of weapons, a well-balanced difficulty and a story that is enjoyable to follow. There is not much to criticize, especially at its price. Definitely worth playing. 100% Steam Achievements Time: 10 hours Completion Difficulty: 3/10 Playthrough: 2 Missable: Yes Guide Recommended: No DLC Required: No Online Required: No Notable Requirements: Collectibles;…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly good. One of the best games I played in years and I played through it in a single sitting. The final boss was very silly though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun short game, plays good. Only a few ideas to improve More customization options, you only get enough cash to do common sense upgrades to your weapons, there's not much choice. Longer Story/Campaign. Controller Support Other than that I really liked the game. The story is personal enough and realistic enough to get you into it, not too deep that you have to halt your life and focus on it. I like that. Gameplay is fun, challenging engaging and it all just kinda works. I wouldn't say GREAT…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not able to play as the controls do not work.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SHORT REVIEW : a simple top-down action shooter with a lot of zombies and blood, nice graphics, a cheap story and quite a cheap price. Classic mechanics of its genre, wort few hours of carefree fun, better if on sale. > Gameplay ( 6.5 / 10 ) : shooting to everything moves in the dark. Mechanics are very simple and revolve around using the mouse to point and shoot and the keyboard for movement while cleaning each level by killing every zombie and finding some rare collectables. The game has a…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably the best zombie game I've played. The game really does scratch your brain
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Surprisingly ok. So far so good, I'm just 1h into the game, and I admit I didn't expect the game to be this carefully crafted. Despite not being overly pretentious as a game, it has a very curated Max Payne vibe on it. The writing, in particular, is very good, not something I would have expected in the slightest. I'll update the review when I finish it but, for now, why not give a shotout to the developers anyway? :) UPDATE: not bad. Git gets a bit too cheesy for my taste at the end, but…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
