60 of 73 · most liked firstI had trouble with the game back when I first played it and was rudely told by the creator that "It was playtested and not broken/unbalanced!" So, I found out I could get a Steam key and tried it again. The game is still essentially still broken/unbalanced because the stat system is terrible. There is really no plot to speak of and the only world building you get are little snippets here and there. The stat raising itself is garbage. You have the option to choose random dice to add up to a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spirited Heart is a difficult game to recommend. Fans of dating and life management sims will no doubt be quickly immersed, but for everyone else, I doubt the game will maintain their interest. Although your character will always be female, you are allowed to choose three different races to choose from: human, elf, and demon. Each race has particular, inherent stats, and through the life choices you navigate, those stats are adjusted to create a custom character. I played through the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a slice of life simulation in the vein of Magical Diary or Long Live the Queen; however unilke those games which are actually worth paying for, this one sadly, is not. While the world presented to you in the game is interesting you ultimately learn very little about it; there are three characters you can play as and many choices for each of them, but ultimately your choices are shallow and don't really matter much, as the game doesn't really differ based on what choices you make, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not worth the 19.99€, Hell, I paid 13.39€ and still isn't worth it by far... The job sistem is boring, and it's mostly what you are going to do, because There is no way you can save money in the game, which then you can only use to either to rest or to train stats, nothing else to buy. almost no story, the quest that the goddess give you are quite easy and silly. Totally not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spirited Hearts is a dispiriting life simulator with very little story. And what an awful world these Spirited Hearts inhabit! You spend most of the time directing which job your Spirited Heart will take each week. Poor work performance means you won't get paid - and work performance is determined by randomly choosing dice. A perfect opportunity for skill-based minigames is squandered. Even adequate performance results in half pay! Furthermore, work makes the Hearts physically ill, so much so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another edit: I've been browsing the discussion for this game and the developer and a few others explained the pricing, which I suggest anyone iffy on it checks the explanation out. It makes the $20-$16 price tag a lot more understandable. Though it's always buyer's choice if they want to accept the explanation. Not worth this much money, I'd agree with scarletemerald and say that $5 is a better price for this. So there have been a few issues with text overlapping, and I feel like a system of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun, but pretty shallow. There is very little story to it- essentially the game is about building your stats through training and working jobs so that you can get other jobs that pay better or raise other stats. Only recommended if you can get it for under $5 or so.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend this game. I usually ignore reviews, ignore what people say/think and try the game myself, but this just left me disappointed. You can chose one of three different "characters" with different advantages and disadvantages. Outside of that, leveling is by "Dice rolls" so it's random and a lot of times poor. It feels as if it's a clicking simulator that offers no depth. I hope things change, the game seemed to have some potential. Even the random "love" interests and encounters…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unimpressive. It's like a less complex Princess Maker, with maybe two hours of story and little replay value. The art and writing are mediocre at best and sloppy at worst. If you want to play a life simulator, you can do better than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had a lot of potential. I loved the idea of choosing a character based on different stats and I have no problem with a stat raising VN. My issue with this game is the character interactions. One of the goals in this game is to find a potential romance. There are a lot of different characters to choose from, male and female, all of which have distinct personalties and spend their time in different areas. You raise your stats and interact with them to gain their affection, eventually…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't see why this is mostly negtive? Why? I mean, it's not the best, but it held my attention for 3 hours, and enjoyed it even. Yeah sure, it's a bit slow and boring, but it's fun once you get into it. Infact, I just started another playthrough myself. I'd also add the price is a bit much. I would wait for a sale for whoever wants to buy it, but it's still an enjoyable game at the most. My personal Rating: 7.5/10- Enjoyable
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Personally.. I like this game, it has its flaws, but overall I enjoy it. Mostly because I got it for six dollars. The story is enjoyable (for six dollars), and it has replay value. Also, it has 3 classes the demon chick is my favorite. The game play is based all on luck no skills require, meeting new love interest is a challenge, getting them to like you is easy. It's like finding waldo but waiting for him to find you. I wouldn't recommend it to those tight on money looking for a mind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So... I am a fan of roleplaying games like this with a skill system based off numbers and it works off of social aspects not combat. However, there is nothing that angers me more than a job system that implements a completely random system that takes no skill to use and if you click the wrong place results in you getting very little out of it. There is no reward to a completely random system and that makes the game poorly designed. If you are looking for a game like this one I highly recommend…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this without reading any of the reviews, and I initially liked the RPG elements of the game. But after 3.5 hours I eventually gave up, as the grind was long and the enjoyment wore off. I never finished the game, and don't recommend it. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a good idea, but there is one simple game that makes this game unplayable and frustating. The way you do jobs is by rollin dice, which makes leveling up really random and slow. When you combinded that with taxes you have to pay, you will not have alot of money and find yourself grinding out jobs, not having fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have no idea why I stopped meeting people after she hit 20. May be they have unlock requirements? For the next 8 years I was just hitting "Repeat job" button endlessly with a few thief attacks to which I replied by using illusions?? I had received a quest from a "Godess of elves" at 22 which I proceeded to ignore as she wanted me to train skills that were entirely off from what I trained up until that point. Other than that I have found no way to reach any of the game's romancable…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly dull. The stat-raising is both easy (lots of time, few consequences, ability to save scum) and tedious (you gain stats from jobs slowly and randomly, the max stats are high, and paying to raise stats requires lots of grinding for cash). The lack of non-random events is probably the game's biggest weakness, because it means there's nothing to work towards, no reason to balance out your lower stats to pass checks (there are a few, but they're randomized and thus can't be planned for)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Three female protagonists to choose from. Six male and six female romances to pursue. It's a life sim! Spirited Heart is not a game I can really reccommend. I am a particular fan of life management style dating sims like this game but the way this game goes about it is more frustrating than rewarding and that's a pretty major black mark as far as life sims go. It does have some good things though! Having options as far as protagonists goes is always nice and customization options help you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Makes me wish that i could talk to real girls.... I'm so lonely...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played quite a few interactive story games and i'm sorry to say that i just couldn't get into this one. It seemed shallow and repetitive, and quite frankly, just unentertaining.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ugh. I was hopeful for this game but it sucked. My only consoliation is I got it on sale and got some good cards to sell off. :/
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I came into this game not expecting a lot and sadly thats what the game gave me. The game is very random and fustrating for example in order to improve your skills you have to use random dice roles and the positive or negitive effects of these roles are also random. I would often go to do a job and dispite having max healthy stat It would suddnly say I was sick, pop ups like this occur often. The story is ok however the focus is on the characters and as such there is little world building. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was buying the game, I was overwhelmed with nostalgia. I remember my childhood and buying demos so I could see the game to its end. However, my childhood had a better picture of this game than I do as an adult. I don't like it. It just doesn't do it for me. I wasn't able to refund it. I'm stuck with it. What I didn't like: Interface Gameplay Graphics The Stat-Raising What I liked: The realisation of having finally bought a game I coveted as a kid
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The worst example of a hero raising VN that I can think of. Almost every location is associated with a named, romancable character. Simply visiting that location and meeting them by chance will cause cheesy romantic music to start playing, give you two conversational choices to pick, likely improve your relationship score with them, and if you're lucky it might even increase a stat by a few points (of which you need a huge amount for it to even do anything). Every few days you will tell your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well designed visual novel which focuses more on the stat building part then the story. While it has the common elements of random encounters as you go through your day, the skill building is heavily reliant on chance by having you pick dice at the end of each week (round) which determines exactly how well your week went. There are basically two tier of jobs in this game, and the second tier requires a lot of grinding to unlock. This could result in monotonous gameplay, but the random dice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a mediocre dating sim game at best and only mildly entertaining. After only playing a few hours you can easily accomplish most if not all the achievements that come with the game. The price of $20 is not a accurate price for this. I would only recommend this game when it is on sale or if money is not an issue and you're looking for a fantasy dating game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥ Sorta neat I liked the premise - I'm a sucker for simulation games, especially ones filled with choices. Unlike other games, there's many characters to pursue a relationship with, and along with being able to choose your character species, you can also choose whether to be straight or lesbian. Nice! -:) Then there's stats - essentially character traits like gardening, charisma, etc. that effect the jobs you can have, and the choices/outcomes to things. Unfortunately what I quickly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game years ago and remembered liking it alright, so I picked it up when I saw it on steam. My memory was not very accurate. The rng system for stat raising is extremely frustrating and the characters aren't particularly likable. I would give this one a pass
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having played the original demo for this game when it first came out, I'd forgotten about this game over the years. So, when it showed up on my recommended feed... I just had to get it! The game itself is meh. The stat system is confusing at best, and infuriating at worst. The jobs systems makes little more sense. And plot? What plot! But, at the same time, I'm enjoying this game purely from a nostalgia point of view. The art style is as cute as I remembered it, and I enjoy the random…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My biggest complaint (besides the REALLY HIGH price, it's really not worth full price at all) with Spirited Heart is that I found myself cringing at all of my available romantic interests (I chose female only). Their personalities seem to range from silly to nasty to downright idiotic (save for Ria, who is alright). That being said, I've enjoyed playing the game since I'm a fan of this sort of thing. It was challenging enough for me that I was satisfied but it was way easier than, say, Long…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What i liked: -Amount of relationships to choose from -amount of jobs to choose from -that you can toggle off male/female encounters(which a lot of otomes don't have) -that the character's clothing changed -life simulators + dating sims can be fun -random encounters/unpredictability(not as easy to impress characters as some dating sims) What I disliked: -Price should NOT be $20, but $8 at best. - Short stories/actual lore -Graphics were meh -Music could have been better -solely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played for about an hour and a half and I spent most of the time either irritated or bored. I was irritated by the the dice roll system and poorly thought out stat system. And the plot and characters are boring, and generally I play dating sims to enjoy the characters. Spirited Heart is poorly balanced and the writing does not make up for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed “Spirited Heart” for what it is. I recommend waiting to get it on sale if you enjoy the demo. I didn’t mind the RNG gameplay. This review is just for the GxB events. Pros: Adorable graphics. Each job has a corresponding outfit that looks different on each of the playable MCs. Fun to see the different combinations. All three playable MCs have their own personality, meaning that they interact differently with each of the 6 guys. Relationship dynamics change, so it’s like you’re…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Would like it more if things were based less on chance. There are also very few events and very few things to do. The entire game is basically going back and forth between working and relaxing, skipping between all the jobs in an effort to meet people but not actually being able to since it's random. Earning money is also difficult, but I suppose it doesn't matter much since the only things you can buy are classes to improve skills and vacations.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Save/Load simulator. The stat raising system is broken af, often you will fail the dice 'mini-game', which means no money. Goddesses ask for random title, which means no point for raising specific stats until you're 23. Characters encounters are completely random. Hence, save/load simulator, because that is 90% of this game. Music is practically non-existent, few tracks that are here are mediocre. Writing is not the best and characters range from annoying to boring. Graphics are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an intriguing game. While it is brought to Steam by Winter Wolves, there are some indications on-line that it might have been produced by another company. Though, whether simply a previous name, or a company acquired in some way... I am unsure. Thing is, it has some of the hallmarks of a Winter Wolves game, though not as polished. The game has a sort of stat management, and leads to a myriad of endings. There is likely an ending if you don't acquire anything else by the time you reach…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr Underdeveloped characters, annoying lack of foresight with dialogue options, shallow gameplay when compared to other current and older life sims, Not worth $20 even for diehard fans of the genre. Spirited Heart is basically a Princess Maker type sim game with some benefits over the de-facto version (PM2), but those benefits don't make up for the things it's lacking. There's a lot less variety, which is honestly sort of surprising considering the amount of jobs and the three species you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I give this recommendation with one caveat, it's not worth 20 bucks. It's worth, at most, 5 bucks. I bought it at a 78% discount, so right under 5 bucks. So, with that out of the way, I played this game (limited version) when it came out, and it was somewhat of a tween dream to be able to fully play it. Now adult me, with money to spend recklessly, I finally was able to. I got a good 4.5 hours out of it, played all three of the characters once, and tried a few things. It definitely is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I enjoy the game, the store description is so vague that it doesn't really tell you how little you really interract with your life. Yes, you have a job, but you don't actually play the job, you roll dice to see the outcome of if you did well or not that day. Yes, you can "choose" a partner, but it seems very rare to come across others characters, let alone people you like and want to come across. Yes, there is tons of replayability, but each game will only last you somewhere between 2-3…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →RNG element for skills is ridiculous and takes far too long to do anything due to slow skill changes. Very frustrating!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Could use a little more variety for replay value, but it's absolutely charming, witty, and a lot of fun. Well worth the time spent. Traditional RPG training and power up meet visual novel dating sim story. Definitely worth the time, it would have been nice to simply have more ;) 6/10 get on sale, but def. worth the play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommended, but with strong reservations. I wish there was a choice between "yes" and "no". I've played through twice, once as a download, once through Steam. Pros: * It's a Princess Maker-alike raising sim, and there aren't enough of them. * Art is nice and clean, in an anime influenced Western style. * Lots of stats to raise * As many same-sex romantic endings as opposite sex * I enjoy the intital stats-setting quiz Cons: * The work dice game is frankly horrible, * It doesn't provide the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Based on the poor reviews, I was expecting Spirited Heart: Deluxe to be utterly unplayable. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, though not without several problems, it's not nearly that bad. While not the best raising sim I've ever played, it's certainly not the worst, and it even does some interesting things with the format. I'd say its biggest flaw is that it's very old, and thus, obviously the work of a young developer. It lacks polish, but it's got some heart. THE GOOD I played…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game system is tedius and there is no story worth speaking of. Save scumming gets you ahead. The art isnt bad but meh. Not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very enchanting and romantic game play, this is for those who love datinh sims and close to real life games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this games years and years ago when it first came out, again when it came on Steam and then again this year (2026) to achievement hunt while I was between hyperfixations. There's a lot of nostalgia here for me, but I do like the overall set up of this game. I like the random dice rolls for the job functions, I like the wide range of options for jobs and romances. What I don't like are the female options for romance. I can get past the jarring art difference between the main characters,…

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Theres nothing wrong with this game except for the fact that its a visual novel dating sim made in rpg maker, which makes it incredible clunky and tedious to navigate through. I am impressed they were able to get it to function at all but not enough to recommend it to anyone. I loved the job system being a dice roll minigame, that was cool, but i cant give a thumbs up based on that alone especially when this is a $20 game. sorry.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game contains my favorite female dating sim character of all time, hade, so you can imagine where i stand. its not by any means a perfect game. for starters, in the game's original release only male love interests existed, and the girls were patched in years later - which shows very clearly, as the artist and style are completely different. it was a strange and sometimes jarring decision. the game is still good, though. i adore the gameplay, and the writing is at times deep and moving…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a easy game, the concept and gameplay are easy to master. The time it took for me to get all achievements was aproximately 15 hours. I have a very varying taste of games and this can give me everything I want in a casual gaming setting. It takes time and it has different endings depending on what you level up and go for. This game is one of the better ones I have done and it never gets old. Pros: Various endings A big variety of characters Being able to pick your character and…

In fact, if you don't use the tip to cheat (check the guide section), it's almost unplayable. But if you do, it's worth playing it (but buy it at a discount price !). I eventually completed all of the 39 endings and decided to recommend the game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Spirited Heart is a tedious game with a lot of grinding. It's not worth playing even if you pick it up in a bundle like I did. It's definitely not worth the $20 price point. The randomness of the jobs system (roll some die and see how you did!) is frustrating not only because it's so random, but because if you do poorly at a job you don't get paid at all, and if you do an average job you only get half pay. In what universe do people get paid like this? This system would be OK if it was at least…
