For example, you can build fighters, but the developer hasn't implemented any meaningful way of using them yet. Why would they move this game to full release?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is incomplete. The early game - the part that the demo shows off - is playable and entertaining. The gameplay of Space Architect is conceptually similar to Dwarf Fortress, with none of the depth, in a much smaller and flatter environment with an even smaller tech tree. I appreciate the added production-line elements of Factorio. You do not really play an Architect, unless your idea of architecture is deciding "what goes next to what." You are more of a Fuel Station Manager In Space.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A difficult one, but in the state it is in as of v1.0.2 : stay away. It's incomplete, and most importantly, buggy. Let's start with the good things: you will get a couple hours of fun from this title, and if we were purely deciding on a money/hour scale, it could be an upvote. Graphics are mostly pleasing, audio is okay (nice detail with the random chatter), configuration options include fps limits and a decent amount of hotkey customization (although not all keys are configurable... we'll…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will be honest - I am tired of early access games that claim they are not in early access while having next to no content in it. Sadly, this game is exactly one of those. Building/automation. On paper you can build a base and fully automate it. In reality, however, you will notice almost immediately that you don’t really have much choice in your buildings - most things either have one building that does the job you need (like 1 power plant type, one floor/wall type, one pipe type,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well that's a time waster. There is no architecture or engineering in this game. You point and click asteroids and wait for stuff to smelt, then you supposedly need to expand and automate the clicking process, but... why? Survival element is solved in a few minutes - there is no oxygen to manage, to get food and water you click asteroids, electricity doesn't matter after first solar panel. The game is built around paying out a loan, but the economy is non existent - you just transfer your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really .. don't. Yet. It says 1.xx, but it's more 0.1.xx. A lot of missing features, stuff not working, glitches, bad UI/UX, and terrible scaling. Not worth your time. It looks like a game jam or some school project probably extended with some more work, but in current state, it should be rather in EA or closed beta. However, there are a few great ideas (like the loan, corruption, auto trade, and TD element), and I hope this whole game will be improved and some parts completely overhauled.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this because I do love my space games, automation and management is my jam, plus it seemed to have prison architect DNA in it but no unfortunately. It's probably slightly on the lower side of half of what I was hoping for, and most of it is due to the tedious nature of building and automating stuff. The big issue for me was the piping. You can connect different fabricators to storage and there's an in and an output but it ships everything from one to the other, so if you mine ice,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, good idea, but still too unbalanced and a lot of playtesting required here. My own thoughts - and I'm sure, it was said lot of times, but still: 1. If I can throw out waste water, why can't I do the same with toxic waste? Actually, why can't I throw anything out? Like cristals from Toxic Waste Processor at the late stage. 2. I can get supermassive materials from a black hole, but still need to build thousands of solar panels to power my station. How about I just use neutron stars and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yep still needs a bunch of work, pipe system filters coming out of instalments dont work, whatever crew tasks I set seems to break something or another from working right, just getting the a simple base functioning is just not working.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dear Hams Gruber, Since you have turned off the ability to respond to your one sided rant about how much the game was lacking. I figured I would leave mine here, in hopes you see it. Seriously? The game is $4.19, is done by Indie Dev and did I mention it is $4.19? Did you expect a triple A game or something? The Dev even has an In-Game notice about how the game is still a work in progress. For what the game costs, I am thoroughly enjoying. It's very reminiscent of Rimworld. Great job Indie…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly, the pipe system is still not usable because the general storage sends resources cyclically instead of sending only the resources specified by the filters. great game otherwise, but this bug is too frustrating
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the moment gameplay is as novel and exciting as is game's graphics. Feels like an attempt to cross Starship Theory with Oxygen Not Included, except both parts got nerfed something fierce. Game has potential to be interesting, but has a lot of issues: - Lacks content (ex: half of tech tree is just boost and tech tree isn't large to begin with) - Automation is done terribly - Crew is mindless - Start needs a bit more of a speed boost - Lacks basic functionality for an automation game (like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I understand that for the price range it's not supposed to expect much, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No Multi-select, can't copy/paste building settings, and copy building button does not copy buildings settings, so every single configuration you want to make, you need to make repetitively to each and every building, want to change the production settings from a Factory? Congratulations, welcome to multiple clicks through every single building doing the exact same thing over and over and over. Can't rotate…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still needs a lot of work, e.g. while pipes work fine between waste storage and waste processors once you turn on both ends, connecting pipes from water purifiers to farms just completely disables all water purifiers (even the ones you've not connected pipes to) and the staff stop delivering ice to them. If it's going cheap maybe nab it and you'll probably get your money's worth, otherwise wait for a bit to see if they continue to work on it and hopefully fix the silly bugs like this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So poorly mad it's insane this is even allowed on the store. This is NOT a completed game! It's filled with bugs and bad balance. Want to mine for resources? Sure, just turn off every single item in the ship to get it. Using only 98 of 799 storage? Storage full! This is bs and I can't believe Steam keeps allowing games like this to exist. Everybody should get a refund if a game is a POS like this. Then Steam would stop letting them exist.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has everything to be a fun game. With steady progression, moving into fully automated manufacturing. However, as of v1.0.7 Autosave is a must. I've had them game crash multiple times as it gets overwhelmed. If playing more than 1 hour I would need to save and reload, for it to recalculate priorities. I've lost a few games because workers would not move water, to produce food. (They were not busy, as they would standing there asking for food.) Overall, I think it will become a great game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interface is a mess. There is no visual filters in overlays. Too many objects, unclear visual design of items. There is no schematic view. Why do I need to see crew running around while in a pipeline mode? Why can't I build pipes in pipeline mode? Mining minigame is a very bad design choice. Manual shooting in a base management game? Please, no. Voice and jokes get old and irritating very fast. Sound is unnecessary and distracting. Constant noise with no useful information. There should be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is so completely bugridden that it is impossible to play. I used more time trying to get around bugs, then actually playing the game. I finally gave up after one of my crates spawned 110 Billion units (a crate can hold 200 units) of iron onto the floor, making my people completely fill up every storage in the base with iron. Then my people refused to move anything other than iron around, not even wanting to fill up water and food, until everyone starved to death. And there was…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute space automation game, which apparently some people plays without automation at all... tell a lot about flexibility of this game. ;) Graphics of this game are quite basic, sounds are ok (too much talking ;) ) and general game flow is quite well made. It's obviously still work in progress, but in current state I had 14 hours of fun. I bought this to support independent developer, and found it interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →v1.0.5 - 1st December 2024 Update It's a game with potential that should've stayed in early access. I think it could have grown into something similar to Factoria / RimWorld if it had more content, features and had them fleshed out (maybe it still can). But by releasing the game in this state with bare bone features and some issues, it's more likely the dev will stop developing due to lack of sales/interest before it gets anywhere near there. Demo Features - Mining - Refining -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Automation is heavily limited because of how bad the storage management is, hopefully better options in the future for full automation.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GREAT lil starter game, it has a smooth flow to it, and the tutorial quests do a fine job preparing you to play freely. The graphics are a touch on the low end, but that can help when dealing with larger ship builds. I enjoy the duality of how simple the economy works, with the possibility of growing to a complicated and profitable enterprise. It's far from perfect as it has a few game melting bugs, but i like it, and so far the developer seems to be very open to suggestions, and responds…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far definitely in love with this game. Needs work done but seriously 50 times better than most Early Access games. Cannot wait to see what comes with time. Reminds me of Prison Architect- which I also loved- and has so much potential for growth.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not Colony Sim game. no one die from hunger or thirsty. Pipe make this game become idle game, just open and let it be
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Watched Orbital Potato play this. So looked ok and thought to give it a go myself. Unfortunately I should remember by now a lot is cut from Youtube lets plays. For instance it's slow going. And bugged. Have ran through the beginning 3 times and got bugged at the guest trader dock each time. My people will not move anything from the dock to storage. Even when I have room in storage. So I buy some metal and parts to make another solar panel. By trading dirty water. And cannot build anything as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess I got my $3 worth. It has a lot of flaws, and the game play feels pretty shallow. I like the ideas, wish it was expanded on more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game a lot. I just purchased "Final Upgrade", and that reminded me of this game, so I started playing Space Architect again. It's complex enough to hold my interest without stressing me out by having me try to manage multiple colonies across multiple worlds or something similar. This game forces you to start small, because you just don't have the resources. So you end up constantly rebuilding your station (base.) Great combination of complex enough to hold your interest without…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm really enjoying this game! The only thing i can't figure out is how to delete a pipe and why sometimes it won't let me place a pipe if nothing is blocking the spot. Can't wait for more content, keep up the excellent work!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so the game isn't horrible. however the tech tree needs a ton of work. often you will find you purchased something and can't build it till you purchase something else on another tree. the pipe work is pretty decent. however the ability to change the outputs and input location would be nice. spaghetti is a common outcome of the way the inputs and outputs are located. I'm not sure about the combat. i had pirates invade but it doesn't look like damage is actually there yet. at least i…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took me a few hours to get use to the game UI and how pipes are meant to work. I have beaten the game multiple times doing 100% runs. My first completely run took 12hours currently because I am trying to beat the game within 100days (best at time of review is 152 days) which seems doable and only takes at most 6 hours and as little as 4hours. I really like the game and how things get done but certain things annoy me and likely do the same to other people because some things just aren't…

unlabelledView post →Do I think that this is a really great game ? No , not really , but it's got it's own sort of interesting take on what it is about. Also for the hours I spent playing the game so far then as far as I can see then it has worked flawlessly. I am not sure how well I have mastered the interface but it took a bit of learning for me to work out it's quirks of navigation (hint try using mouse scroll wheel forth and back). At a glance then the game is about managing resources and getting more of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not run into as many glitches as some would say, a few crashes but only every now and then, keep auto save on 15 or 30 minutes and you should be fine. it is more an automation simulator then survival, once you realize that, getting auto gathering is a must to do anything timely without tedious grinding of manual mining. Auto piping is a next must, but overall the game is simple for what it is, this could drive a few away, but it works. I could easily waste hours just trying to over…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is far from done, that's very much clear. But at the price point it is currently it there is enough content here if you like this sort of game. I wouldn't call this a complete experience yet, but the experience that is here is fun, and the developer seems to be actively working to make the game more stable and add new content.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun little game for the price. I got two play-throughs out of it: once to learn the game and another to build a more efficient base from the lessons learned.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I very much enjoy this game though it is very slow and not sure if its on purpose or not but very choppy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Barely a minute or two into the game and it completely broke down and I could not play anymore. I had too much trash in the storage to deconstruct metal, I need metal to get more storage, I see no way to delete items to clear room for said metal. Never have i ever refunded such a cheap game, but this is just not acceptable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There isn't much to the late game yet, but for a couple of dollars it's not bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good/OK. The beginning has some fun mechanics that are somewhat addictive and give you that sense of grinding that is sometimes fun for a short period of time before you automate things but honestly I thought the game was a pre-release and it definitely could use some more polish. I've put about 5 hours into the game, and I don't think I'll put more than another 5 hours. It is fun, lightweight as in any computer can probably run it, and has good mechanics, but not something I can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is pretty fun, the game loop isn't too complicated. Probably looking at 10ish hours of fun until the loop kind of fizzles out. If you like module placement puzzle types, then the game will provide you more hours of fun than my guesstimate. Once you get far enough you basically have a lot of demolish, replan, rebuild, demolish, replan. The game has a automation system, but its just meh. If you really like the idea of the game, its good. If you are looking for the best of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AI ignores task priority. Lost the game because everyone died. I literally only left two task available and that was making water and making food. They didn't even have to transport the water I had pipes. When I reloaded an old save, it won't let me click anything in the game. I know my mouse works because I can still a pause the game and zoom in and out. I mean if you're AI ignores orders in this kind of game its over for fun. I wish I had found this bug when it was still able to return the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space Architect is a deep and methodical space-station management simulator that leans heavily into systems thinking, long-term planning, and the satisfaction of building complexity piece by piece. Developed by Albert Wiatr and published by PlayWay S.A., the game positions itself firmly in the tradition of hardcore simulation titles that reward patience and curiosity rather than instant gratification. From its opening moments, it makes clear that success will come not from quick reactions, but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Neat little management game, very nice for a solo dev game 👍
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fun little game, but it does feel liike early access. For example, every now and then pirates attack you. So I built fighter jets with all the prerequisites etc. Took quite a while. only to find out that you can't use the fighters. You can at best sell them and not for much. Apparently it's planned to use them sometime later. The only defense is the cannon (and base cannon does no damage, just go straight to gatling. Be sure you have a big metal production street) Basically, just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty solid game, there are a few qol features that are pretty desperately needed but overall its an awesome colony sim
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game need a early access tag. it still fun in a small way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic little game that, despite its quirks and flaws, draws you in and keeps you there. Perhaps some questionable replayablility right now and definitely some missing features and mechanics still, but this is already a great game and great value!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game that requires good planning to allow for growth and new technologies. The tech tree is a refreshing change from the usual build science labs and create coloured cubes method many games use - this one is based on trading (lore is that you hack for tech when connected to a trading ship). Some game design quirks can lead to minor frustration - mainly with oneself for repeatedly making the same mistake / oversight time and again. The game could do with some quality of life…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →simple fun game needs a better traning guide for pipes but easy once you figure it out
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey, hey, what we have here? Looks like a game running in Early Access quality without having EA badge! Shame to the developer! Beside that, gameplay loop looks solid, and I didn't meet any soft locks or heavy bugs. Just a tons of tiny buggies and half of game structures do not really function together in the final quarter of game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(very) EARLY ACCESS REVIEW ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good ☑ Decent (for what it is: much simplified rimworld in space) ☐ Bad ☐ Don‘t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☐ Good ☑ It's just gameplay - you give build orders and wait for them to be completed, watching the peeps run between machines to carry raw and processed materials around, expanding the station, building more machines and finaly installing pipes to automate said…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I very much don't enjoy leaving a negative review of a game, but the longer I play this game, the more frustrated I've found myself. My play through is roughly 10 hours in, with all but the final two milestones reached. It's going to be a grind to finish out those final milestones. So, I've rammed up productions and attempted to increase automation. But the game is starting to get very buggy and I have to now disassemble some of my buildings just to get them working again. I usually have to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a good enough game for a few bucks during a huge discount what is bad: - UI - Performance after an hour or so dies to 25 fps - pipes...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, I paid $2 for it, got almost 9 hours of playtime out of it. I would have been disappointed if it was more than $8, but its a solid game for two to 5 bucks. It seems like the dev stopped before they realized their full plans for it, I'm hoping for an update, adding a little more content.
