You're charged with scanning groceries and shootin' fruit. Pretty simple. The more groceries you scan, the more weapons you unlock. The more weapons you unlock, the more fruit you can shoot. Scan enough groceries and you unlock a powerup to use at your leisure. Killing fruit earns you juice, which you use to buy the weapons you've unlocked. Once you unlock a gun,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have to play seated from a stationary chair like a wheelchair like I do, don't buy it. You are basically at a crouching height and without stick movement or turning it is unplayable if you are disabled.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shooty Fruity is a great shooter for VR with a nice atmosphere in it. There is so much to love in this game. With a multitude of levels, unlocks and power-ups to use, you can play for hours and hours. And you'll want to keep playing, because the tricky multitasking gives this game something so many other VR (wave) shooter games lack and that's uniqueness. Watch a short gameplay here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BmVR4IDoak Besides the ear-soothing shop music and the colorful shop…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reviewed using HTC Vive Pro Supermarket simulator where your the Check Out Clerk doing your job. While also shooting up attacking mutant fresh fruit 🍓 ✔️ Great Graphics and Sounds in this one ✔️ Weapons selection is great and fits ✔️ Frantic Action lots to distract you ✔️ It's nicely done feels good in VR
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't buy if you have the Valve Index. The weapon isn't angled properly with the index controller and there's no option to change the angle. At time of writing, there's a year old discussion thread requesting for this issue to be fixed with 0 replies.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game looks and plays OK. It is just more of the same wave shooter nonsense that everyone else has in VR, and I ended up returning it because it didn't feel any different than the others. Except for the voice acting, which was funny for about 10 minutes then gets super annoying because you hear the same lines over and over and OVER again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wave shooters are certainly making up a large portion of our current VR market, and as soon as I put on the headset, I could see why. Any form of locomotion, beyond what you are allowed in room scale, feels ALIEN to many. Certainly with some long term VR literacy, that hurdle can be overcome, but what we need in VR’s infancy are games where you are planted and yet engaged. Hence, the wave shooter. So it is up to us as the consumers to be really discerning, and really heap praise on developers…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played On: HTC Vive Have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to be a grocery store employee that works at a location where the fruit comes alive and tries to kill you? Well, Shooty Fruity is here to fulfill that childhood goal that so many of us have only dreamed of. Think of it as Job Simulator with guns, and crazy, deranged fruit that wants to disembowel you. Be prepared to scan groceries and grab weapons, it's going to be a Super Mega Mart kind of day! There are a total of 24 levels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hilarious VR supermarket kill all the fruits shooter. I very much enjoyed the nonchalent off-voice in German. Good mix between wave shooter and the Office VR genre. One of the good indie VR titles. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQzKG20xtkQ However price is a bit too high. Wait for a sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great VR implementation. Great, ultra-frantic gameplay. Great graphics and style. Very, very polished. Collect guns and powerups in a big pile, check out products or make food trays when you have downtime, shoot fruit when they approach. Unlock new weapons with your spoils. I love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shooty Fruity is fun, engaging and is a new twist on the shooter genre. Light-hearted humor, and challenging gameplay, you'll soon find yourself buried in your new job as a cashier at Megamart.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are very weird. The game only natively supports the original vive wand controllers, and was seemingly never updated to support newer controllers. You use the trigger button to both grab things and shoot, which is annoying and clunky. I played on a Quest 2 via Remote Desktop. If I didn't get this game through a humble bundle I would definitely be requesting a refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just so everyone knows, this game works flawlessly with the complete Valve Index setup even though it's not listed as being officially supported. Anyway, I'll keep this short. I've wasted my money on many quick arcade style VR games and ended up playing most of them for less than an hour, so I debated whether I should buy Shooty Fruity for months. Well, I can now easily say that it's one of my favorite VR titles and a must own for anyone who enjoys shooting stuff in VR or, for some reason,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY WANT TO RECOMMEND THIS GAME. Wow, it has soooo so much potential. But the controls are just absolutely awful. There's so many small things that pester me about this game. 1) Index controllers are just not supported at all. Grabs are done with trigger, dropping a weapon is done with a button press. It's psychotic controls for knuckles users, very immersion breaking. 2) Guns also feel misaligned, I'm craning my arm down to fire straight, also could be a knuckles issue. 3) Settings…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After weeks of waiting to play this , finally I got to tonight. Wow! It’s such a fun game! The graphics are very polished, aiming is great and well, I had a lot of fun. I’m actually not big into shooter type games but this game is a blast and I’d still be playing it if I didn’t have to get sleep... but tomorrow first chance I’m playing again.

The gameplay involves multi-tasking; your role is initially as the supermarket clerk scanning items to access as many weapons as possible during a round, to shoot oncoming fruit attacks, then repeat! The weapons run out of ammunition as you use them,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It took this game to realize that gallery shooting in VR is just not for me. I guess Robo Recall has me spoiled because despite the job gimmick I just really could not get into this one. Which is a shame, really, because the presentation is absolutely there.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great wave shooter... but still a wave shooter. https://youtu.be/rH9HXnwhd0I This is a very polished Wave Shooter thus I am giving it a thumbs up. If you do not like wave shooters than this is a solid thumbs down for you specifically I went in to this one skeptical and hesitant and my fears were confirmed. The game is a very well done wave shooter but there are just so many wave shooters and so few games with deep and meaningful gameplay/stories. It's hard to endorse yet another wave…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shooty Fruity – High quality VR gaming at its best. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a supermarket cashier? Shooty Fruity by nDreams may just answer that question. Full review here: https://thedavestream.com/2017/12/31/shooty-fruity-review/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can I say its a repetitve wave shooter. At first its a ton of fun, then after a while it gets extremly boring as its the same thing over and over again. It does get harder to the point where it feels like its impossible to win. Stumbled on a few glitches where the guns will just disapear from your hands while grabbing them. I really wished this game would be worth it as it is fun. Maybe the devs can add some different type of stuff in the game to mix it up then maybe it will be worth…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game makes great use of VR space by dangling guns above your workstation. Most combat is short range which feels good and it rewards aimed shots over spray and pray. Each fruit type moves a little differently and are fun to track. There's a few different levels and each has a multitasking job to improve your arsenal. Some levels are scenarios with specific enemy and weapon combinations. Everything looks and sounds great, especial the guns which look like toys but act super violent. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Normally I'd wait to get more time played in to do a review of a game... but oh my god this game is so much better than it's actual title. Honestly. One of the best VR experiences I've had and can't wait to dig in more. The core loop of this game really does feel like a shooting version of Job Simulator. Sometimes VR games just click and feel great. Shooty Fruity far exceeded any expectation I had of it. Pick it up. https://youtu.be/QXcBQ3gPSS4
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game no longer playable on meta quest 3. Can't fire my weapon to play game. Used to work fine on a Rift S i used to own.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →was good on the OG PSVR, still really good on PCVR years later
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes instantly when trying to play the first mission
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is one of the better "introductory games" for new people to try out VR on, you can play it relatively seated with some leaning, reaching, and ducking. In game Height controls make it easier to adjust the game to fit different players than adjusting the VR set up. Since you don't run around a lot movement wise there is a lower motion sickness effect for new VR players. I recommend this as a game to show friends VR or as a party novelty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoy this game sooo much! I definitely recommend it. There is a good bit of choices of weapons you get to choose from. The different jobs are really awesome, and the difficulty of the fruits makes it even more fun! I still am trying to figure out which weapons are good for which fruits. This is a game I can play for a good while before getting tired of it. I definitely can't wait to unlock the rest of the weapons and levels and see what else this has to offer! :D I also made a YT video…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is honestly so much fun in an arcade game, cannot recomment it enough!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's early playtime yet, but the polish is absolutely self-evident. Shooty Fruity is an excellent wave shooter with a high skill ceiling. Put it in the same (rough) category as Space Pirate Trainer and Blasters of the Universe as genre examples that are exceptionally good. If you think you'll like it, you will. Try it. TL;DR: How do you feel about wave shooters? If the answer isn't "fackin hate 'em," you'll love Shooty Fruity.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only an hour in and I absolutely love it. I'm also exhausted! Juggling both Fruit annihilation and scanning items is a lot more demanding than I first thought! The shooting is simple yet satisfying, and the 'job' part starts off easy and gets more and more difficult as you progress. Highly recommend for VR owners.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2 Minute Video Review → https://youtu.be/qeBcHR_ALgw This is a truly unique spin on the Wave Shooter genre. The atmosphere is full of personality and charm, and shooting the fruit is satisfying the way Fruit Ninja is. It also gets REALLY challenging on the later levels. Definitely worth a look.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So much fun. Shooting giant advancing fruit with automatic rifles while scanning stuff at the checkout. What more could you want?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fantastic! adorable, great physics
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not work well with Meta Quest 2. Controls are really unintuitive and it's nigh impossible to get the view distance right. Other Steam VR games don't seem to have this problem, but in this one the environment will smash up against you, to the point where you can/will clip through it and see what's on the other side of walls.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My go to wave shooter when the fun comes calling. Simple but effective presentation wraps around a manic, challenging game. Gets a bit difficult juggling kiosk scanning or item packing while grabbing weapons and shooting the fruit, while not wrecking the store or shooting the work station. In truth though that's what sets Shooty apart from the others, drastically manic, a game that's had some thought put in to it. Recommended, it's stood the test of time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Potentially the best VR wave shooter. But they need to add index bindings or steamVR input support since you can't rebind the grips and trigger since they're the same input.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looked fun, but there are some serious flaws I just can't overlook. 1) There is no (obvious) way to change the language to English. 2) Teleporting is restricted to certain spots and I always end up halfway in objects. 3) The options menu in-game is not accessible without further explanation. (It is represented through an arcade machine that just says "Insert Coin", but there are no coins anywhere. And no, it doesn't work without a coin, I'm pressing buttons and nothing is happening.)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not care for the distraction mechanic combined with hard-to-hit fruit, limited amount of ammo (guns) and having to drop empty guns myself.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You're going to shoot your berries and like it! Yes this is a waver shooter, but no it is not like every wave shooter out there. Making you scan groceries to earn your weapon upgrades...pretty cool beans idea if you ask me. The voices are well done, the graphics look good...but if you want more details check out the video review here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGGj4eVfY0Y
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game so far is fun in my opinion. The graphics are basic and cartoony and the gameplay is frantic but fun. This is a game that you would introduce to someone who hasn't played VR before because it's simple, engaging and easy on the stomach. The best part of the game is the sound and feel of the guns they are loud and feel powerful. It's not a game you will get lost in for hours but like a fruit ninja or typical wave shooter that you play for a little while and enjoy. If you have bought a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shooty Fruity, developed by nDreams and Near Light and published by nDreams, is one of those virtual reality titles that immediately distinguishes itself through sheer absurdity. At a glance, it appears to be a bright, cartoonish wave shooter, but it quickly reveals a far more inventive core concept: you are not just blasting enemies in a static arena, you are working a retail job while doing it. Set inside the colorful chaos of Super Mega Mart, the game transforms a grocery store checkout…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Virtual Virtual Reality was a game I really enjoyed when I played it. Shooty Fruity is a fun wave shooter and I couldn't get enough for Headmaster for like, a while when I picked that one up
unlabelledView post →Amazingly fun VR game, played on my HTC vive pro and worked great, however cant get it to run on my Pimax. seems to be a issue with the game as FPS is choppy no matter the settings
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really funny and addictive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite VR games. It's a wave shooter but you have to scan items or sort blocks onto trays to earn better guns for the round. There are also powerups which you can set off to the side to use later. Guns come to you on a conveyor belt and you don't reload them, you just chuck them away and grab another one. Sometimes I like to have a little stockpile of guns, but the later levels can get very hectic.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is addicting for it being so dated it still rules devs hopefully your making another vr game cause i will beyond support it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best VR games you can purchase. Every single person I've had play it has asked for more. Simple and fun. No time wasted. Perfection.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Some of the most dumb fun I have had in VR
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a great premise. Voice lines are gold. I love the short level durations, perfect for sharing the headset with a partner.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic example of a VR shooting gallery done right. Polished, arcade-style action. The firearms are satisfying to use, and I quickly developed a special fondness for revolvers as my "bread and butter" weapons. Low fire-rate, reduced ammo capacity, but accurate at any range with a lot of stopping power. This is notable because two of the game's three shotguns literally do not work beyond a radius of about 15 feet, and automatic rifles become terribly inaccurate at about 30 feet. This leads…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting arcade shooter where you got to coordinates both of your hand not just to shoot, but also to complete manual tasks which might take your attention away from the incoming rebelling fruits. The progression in the game (unlocking more weapons) is at a relatively good pace. With that said, the game does have its issues from having fruits in a moving in a dead angle that requires you to use a weapon you might not have access to or even unlocked yet to the lack of adapting option like…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For some reason it kept crashing and i liked it when i played it on the PSVR but it just kept crashing my other games were fine so i had to refund it not fun when it crashes'
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely underrated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what an absurd concept for a game, and god do they make it work its such a fun shoot'em up, and it's in VR too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its funny, its guns, and killing fruit mix in chores, it did wasite 4 hours of my life, and mabye some more when i get around to it, the only real gripe is that times the direction your facing ets messed up, that theres no way you can just push a button to senter it, another is that the game is just repetive, i would have love some major update to get our blood pumping, mabye a rail shooter or something i do hope that they make another game in this section who knows, mabye a carnevil, i would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →as a description said, "This is an insanely difficult game but it is insanely fun!" 24 levels, it is difficult making it have great play value and I love it. I play on PC (obviously) using a Quest 2, The graphics are great. Totally worth the money. I recommend it to everyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great hidden VR-Gem, needs lots of multitasking! Lots of action without any risk of motion sickness, great game to introduce someone to VR.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ONE OF MY FAVORITE VR GAMES. When this game gets a on sale its a must have! So underrated tbh. Really fun shooting fruits. the suspense builds up lmao.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're looking for a unique, zany, pretty well full-fledged game to add to your VR collection, I cannot recommend Shooty Fruity enough. I had no idea it would be as fun as it is. It's such a quirky idea and the collision of grocery clerk work with OTT fruit violence is gloriously absurd. Definitely is one of the most popular games on game night with friends over. Everyone seems to love the satirical Americana feel to the environment coupled with the super fun core game mechanics. This is an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The angle of the gun handle does not match the angle of the controller handle, which breaks immersion and just feels bad. They need to adjust this or add an option to adjust it. Otherwise seems okay but pretty repetition, nothing outstanding as far as I could tell in 30 minutes.
