This "Game" is 30 minutes long. It has pretty cool parts in it, but by no means is there any interactive elements. More of a movie because there is no challenge or skill required. You just hold the trigger down and automatically move through the environment. It feels like a pretty good trailer to a completely different game. 2/10. Sound is not great at parts Visual effects are not super refined Not properly advertised

It's a small Sci-Fi experience in the deep sea, around 30min long. Dont expect to find a SOMA-like game here. Overall, I liked the story, but the head oriented controlls made me crazy. You always have to look a little further down while moving foreward, otherwise you would push upwards. Also there is no collision detection system with your hands and your enviroment, so your hands go straith through rocks and other objects. I always find these collision detection mandatory in these days of VR.…

I was looking forward to this. Sadly it doesn't deliver. First of the performance is hideous. I don't know if this is caused by the DRM or just lack of optimization. The voice acting doesn't feel genuine. The always on HUD display is distracting and immersion breaking. The game is not made for standing/room scale because you will go outside the map since there is no collision and very limited movement. Its actually an on rail experience. I dont like that the game locks you in place when…

I love the idea and appearance of this experience. You get to take a short (30 minutes) experience in a bioluminescent, almost alien-like, underwater world. There is a nice little narrated story, but gameplay wise it is lacking just a bit to much to recommend the game. You cant touch things, you just clip through the fish and bugs. You are more like a ghost. I mean, its not like I need it. What I am going to do once I cought a fish? But I still would have liked it if I could. On a technical…

Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2 and HP Reverb G2. Spoiler-Free Review. You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/-8gPyyuCNKc This is an approximately 30 minute cinematic sci-fi underwater thriller with very few interactions. This is a mostly passive experience where you just sit back and enjoy the narrative and the visuals. You're on-rails and you do sort of control the propulsion forward most of the time, but you're very limited in your movement. The limited interactions…

‘Biolum’ is a 25-minute on-rails experience about an underwater exploring finding new life. Voiced by none other than ‘Dominique Tipper’ from ‘The Expanse’ she does a great job of reading a crap script and putting some much-needed action into the experience. It’s not a bad experience at all and while it does get weird AF towards the end it kept me interested for the whole journey. There is a small amount of interaction with the use of a torch and a jetpack, but you don’t get a lot of movement…

This is a great VR title. It has a great story and good dialogues. So the price is fair. It shows some beautiful places in the caves in the deep sea. The narration is good and the game has an unexpected stunning ending. The game could be finished in around 30 minutes. So the price is fair. I made a gameplay video with the first half of the game: https://youtu.be/NpgurE9EFWI

I expected more to be honest and the fact that you can't move around too much is truly unfortunate and nicked my experience a bit. HOWEVER, its definitely a good 30 min experience where your basically handheld but the Atmosphere is convincing and quite immersive nonetheless. The ending makes absolutely no sense but gotta respect getting turned into a squid for the love of the game. 7/10

~30 minutes cinematic VR experience with few interactions, semi-controlled on-rails movement and horror atmosphere without jumpscares. On-rails movement system where player can pause at any time and stray from the course a bit, works great for VR storytelling. You get your linear streamlined cinematic experience while also having enough time to look around when something catches your eye. Sadly that won't happen too often: visuals are not up to date and the environments could have used more…

So, just a heads up to anyone who's looking to buy this "experience". I call it an experience instead of a game, due to it being about 30 mins long. On the plus side, if you don't mind that then I can recommend just trying this out. Has a decent little "story" with some interesting environments and creatures. To the devs: Just a quick suggestion, add a option to turn off the HUD. Would have loved to experience the area without it on.

Nothing more than a movie - virtually no interaction at all. Only 30mins long and majority of that is spent 'swimming' ...sadly it mostly uninspiring and certainly not worth the price paid (approx £5 GBP at the time of writing).

I like to explore in the deep sea. Suggest to add the scene roaming mode. When you finish the game, you can choose the roaming mode. There is no story, you are free to move and explore in the scene. Enjoy the unique atmosphere of deep sea ecology.

Biolum is a paid VR experience that has a good story with a scary twist. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked good, played good, sounded good, was understandable. Has 3 language choices: English, French, Chinese. Was a good story, turns freaky at end. Later, you have movement mode of free flying with gaze directional control, you press your left trigger for forward thrust, so you can control how fast you move while you gaze in the direction you want to move. Story is on…

The concept and idea is not bad but it is a 30 minutes experience with Quest 2 graphic like, as we had in 2015. So, If you really want to experience something cool which is underwater, just check the Blu, play Subnautica below zero with the vr mod or try the best one which is the shark experience with the playstation VR. Here it is not really good at all for a PC experience.

Pretty average in truth. Some nice moments when you're traversing the narrow sections of the cave, they convey the sense of presence well. Unfortunately i found the dialogue rather tacked on, for the most part it sounded like script reading. The sequences are well placed together, particularly heading toward the conclusion. Neat visuals can't really make up for what ultimately is a rather boring experience though, it's neither dramatic or well paced with it's stop-start have a look mechanic.…

LOVED IT! ....But.. I also LOVED the Kellog's Gut Bacterial reef...or whatever it's called.. I have a simple mind and love to explore in VR. This was adequate for me. This is by no means No Mans Sky... It's cute... maybe for a kid or kid like adults like myself. I enjoyed it. I would love to see more exploring stuff like this but better... I prefer exploring to gaming. Just my preference... Although I do LOVE playing games...

For €6,60 only 30 min of gameplay??!? The game is fine as far as Experience-VR-Games go. But you only have 10 min of active gameplay and 15 min of watching cutscenes? Not wort it if u ask me, and you might even call it a scam!!

File this one under "VR Experience". About 30 minutes long, this is a pretty aggressively linear short film experience, with some nice animations, voice acting, models, and graphic design. Very competently made. The story has some nice twists and turns, and doesn't over stay its welcome. Feels borderline like a well made proof of concept, or like one of those fun house rides you put a dollar in and ride through a few different rooms with something neat to see in each. Overall, I enjoyed it,…

This is a simple program, perfect if you are trying to show someone VR that has never seen anything. The graphics are clean and the story is good. A bit interactive, but more like one of those slow rides where you get to experience wonderful surroundings. while the chair turns so you can see all the good bits.

When I first installed this it would not work with Quest 2 and SteamVR. I gave up on it. Just tried it again and wow, it's been fixed. Played it through in one evening -- a short but great experience. This is not so much a game as a semi-interactive movie. Mobility is kind of limited. You are directed along a linear narrative path. The graphics are memorably good. The plot, well... it's a plot. But the real charm of the experience is being underwater (which makes the headset feel kind…

For a VR experience, I really enjoyed this. I knew from the title that this would not be a game, but an experience. It's very immersive and at times leaves you wanting more. A great voice cast and a great story of wonder and betrayal. I usually don't play a lot of underwater games, but this was worth it. If you love to just sit back and become immersed in a story, you should check this out. It's about a half hour long.

The experience only last for about 30 minutes. You follow a researcher who is being led by their team to explore the depths of the ocean. Along the way you find out that things are not as they seem. It was pretty, and fun, but left me feeling a bit dizzy by the end of it all plus my controller had died, not that it affected game play. Overall I give this game a nice 4.2 out of 5. As its not much of a game as it is what it has labeled its self an experience. One and Done. Pick up on sale…

At first, I was really interested in this deep-sea themed game. But after playing it, I realized it was just an immersive VR experience without any interaction with the environment. You just keep listening to two characters talk the whole time. The character you play as starts out normal but becomes increasingly strange, and the ending makes no sense. The only thing I can recommend is that it truly gives a deep-sea feeling. But everything else, I wouldn't recommend. Immersion: 100 Scene…

Idk why VR educational titles insist on force-stopping the action for the crap dialog to play out. Allow us to SKIP rather than just sit there. Also give us full control - no one wants to be a passenger in a cool submersible. Way too much restricted hand holding. We can drive and listen to the biology simulataneously. Stopping the sub every 15secs for a full minute is annoying.

Unfortunately, the pacing is almost ridiculously fast. It plays more like a game demo than a game itself. There's also the problem of setting up the space to work well with VR.
