Then this game for you. its retro with fun comments, dialogs, easter eggs for 80s movies. The game itself challenging aswell, fights are interesting, you can equip your character with various "weapons". If you see it on sale, buy instantly, however it totally worth the full price, this is a game what worth supporting so we will see more episodes:-)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game had promise. I did enjoy it. Then the developer abandoned it. You get 4 episodes of fun 80’s nostalgia. If you have Windows, then you get an exclusive 5th episode. I don’t have Windows so I can’t play that one. Nobody gets the originally promised 6th episode. If you get this, just be aware that all bugs and unfinished storylines will remain that way.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get what the creators are trying to do with this game, and I respect that. The first two episodes are the best part of the work, with some clever design and interesting ideas. Sadly, the remainder of the game starts falling flat and doesn't really recover. The fifth episode is unfortunately both obtuse in the puzzles presented and pretty short, and the story they laid out just kind of takes a sharp left turn into "wut" territory. The nostalgia factor is pretty strong, but the humor is a bit…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A silly short RPG worth a play through or two. A funny story line, silly dialogues, wacky battles, and some well done pixel art bring this package together in a nice way. The whole Saturday morning cartoon theme is great! It's good simple fun and treats modern gaming like a meme in an amusing way. Not a very difficult game but it's definitely worth a bit of your time if you enjoy turn based RPGs.

Optional Achievement(s): Yes (80 achievements). Difficult Achievement(s): No. Intro Saturday Morning RPG is a turn-based RPG that takes homage to old cartoons, shown in an episodic style with a bad guy that you need to beat in each of them. There are 5 episodes in total. Pros: - 5 episodes - Customizable enemy level - Main quest and side quest markers make it easier…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I hate to give it a bad review, but the combat system is just awful. So far there are like 4 attacks done over and over and over and over and over again. The nostalga factor is great. The animation is a beautfil mix of regular and pixel and the controls handle well. However, the programmers were SO SLOPPY that they use the keyboard control icons even if you use a controler so you can't figure out what button corresponds to what effectively removing one of the attack options. The rest is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is recommended for those of you who enjoyed the 80's. It's a great farce of many cliches of the 80's right down to the scratch-and-sniff stickers on your Trapper-Keeper. If you want to poke fun at bad story plots, dated technology, and rad conversations then you will probably get a laugh out of this title. It's not deep and the gameplay is actually pretty repetitive, but good gameplay was never really the point of this game. It's a trip down nostalgia lane and little more.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was so boring that it gave me a hell of headache and I went to sleep. Saturday Morning RPG 1/10 Heisen
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This gets REALLY REALLY boring REALLY REALLY fast. it's soooo annoying the amount of random encounters it throws at you so early on and you barely can make any progress because of it. Once it throws 3 or more at you you're done and will soon turn it off for good. Yes....80s references are 80s.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Any memories you recall through this game will be tarnished.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like 80s nostalgia bait, annoying battle systems, and unfinished games, you might enjoy this. That's a little harsh, but honestly, the whole thing just feels so soulless and dull that I don't care.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll be perfectly honest with you – I gave up on Saturday Morning RPG about halfway into episode five. Before I even get into review proper and why I did something I basically never do it should be noted this is an incomplete game seeing as episode six is still missing. So that's already something going against the game, but it turns out it really didn't matter in this particular case because base product had enough problems. At its core this is effectively a JRPG albeit one styled after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia has never really been a thing for me. However, i made the mistake when I watched the trailer for Saturday Morning RPG, of assuming that I could somehow buy a sense of nostalgia for myself. Newsflash: it didn't work. I soon discovered that no matter how many 1980s things they cram into the game, the many references and corny jokes wrapped around a so-so video game just weren't going to cut it. Saturday Morning RPG banks too hard on nostalgia without having much else of substance, and I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An Old style RPG with funny characters and Enemies. This game has unique storyline than other RPG's. This game tells you about a Nerd that trying to reach his many goals and Solve Problems, such as: Take back his girlfriend, Helping Robots, Defending himself from bullying, etc. The battle system is unique from other RPG's it's so funny and addicting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it on sale for $0.99 if I remember right, and it doesn't feel like even that price was worth it. The Battle system is so overflowing with minigames and button mashing that after 30 minutes of play my arm hurts, literally. I'd love to play through the game for the huge nostalgia hit, but the Battle system is so horrible that I've completely lost interest. If I had played it enought right after buying to realize this, I would have gotten my money back.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →what is this sorcery? 0,70€ 90% sale = Game The first 5 minutes of story-mode changed my life ( ͡°╭╮ʖ °) i shall play this game to the end. #quick gameplay# check the link http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=883844860
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Saturday Morning RPG is a very fun and entertaining little game with smirk-worthy writing, an interesting combat system, and a great sense of style. So why is it not recommended? Because the control prompts are broken. When you start a new game, it asks you to select your button prompt style; keyboard, Xbox 360, or Playstation. Unfortunately, for some users, myself inclued, this option simply doesn't work. I've selected 360 prompts and applied the change multiple times, and still the game is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Seems like a spoof RPG with many references from the 90s. At least it's better than most RPG maker games, because it's not RPG maker. Soundtrack is decent. Gameplay consist of exploration and lots of battles. Retrowave approved. Sadly, don't have time to finish this one but still I can recommend it to RPG fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great classic and witty JRPG with a 'radical retro' theme and story. A must have for every Steam user. There is too much content and new kinds of mechanics for such a low price to pass it up. It will fullfill you in some aspect, I love the combat (but it may not be everyone's cup of tea). Definately pick it up when it's on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's on sale for $0.97 and you haven't bought it yet? Hello, anybody home? Think, McFly! If you got that reference and you grew up with these graphics then this is your game. I even recommend it at full price. Just take a look at the names of the achievements, the developers get 80's culture in the very best way. Now power up with a scratch n sniff sticker, paralyze that Badbot with a moonwalk and wang his buddy on the head with your keytar!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unlike others, I did not mind the graphics. Yes, the interface is not well designed and the mix of low quality 3D coupled with 2D does not give a good effect, but you get used to it and even find it charming after a while. What I disliked most is the functionality, especially battles. Firstly, forget playing this with controller. Even after you set up your interface for your choice of controller, it will always show keyboard overlays for quick time events. There is no map, and some areas…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing RPGs since the Dragon Warrior(or Dragon Quest) era, and I thought I'd seen it all... until I got this game in the summer sale; as a child of the 80's, this made me laugh out loud, cheer, and just put a smile on my face that lasted for 2 hours. Buy this game, buy it NOW!!! Worth every penny
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poorly made. You've got 3D environments mixed with paper thin 2D characters merged in that environment. You have parts of the dialogue that move, giving you a headache trying to read them. You have Z X and V keys to do some of the blocking and fighting during the battles. This is stupidly mixed with mouse movements for mini-games such as scratching lottery tickets" Don't buy this game at all, I think this game has an Identity Crisis and fails to entertain.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →They never finished the game and there are bunch of unattanable achevements. I don't care so much about the achevements as I do I bought this game believing the devs were going to finish all the episodes. Eat ♥♥♥♥, devs. You done ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up on this one. 4/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a UK player who lived through the 80's as a child - nothing in this game induces any kind of nostalgia. I'm not getting any of the "Saturday Morning TV" vibe at all - no Double Dare , Philip Schofield and that bloody gopher, Cheggers or anything. A fairly generic RPG with elements taken from paper mario type combat and sticker collections. Overall, for a brit, I rate this as something I'd like to see in the "Gunk Pit". If its on sale, you are American and paper mario style endless combat…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a surprising fun game. If you grew up in the 80s and 90s you will definitely get the nostalgia aspect. It is not a difficult game, but it is a nice casual time killer that you can usually pick up for under $2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game on a Monday Morning. #fטckthesystem
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really fun old-school style turn-based RPG with a late 80s/early 90s vibe - full of nostalgia moments to SO many things, from Trapper Keepers to sewer surfing. The battles are incredibly easy and there tend to be a lot of them in a row, but that's typical of the genre. A VERY fun game, definitely worth picking up on sale, or if you're into the genre/time period- full price is reasonable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se9SpWYG5Eo
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🧵Having rolled credits on Ever Oasis it was time to start my next game in the 2025 Year of the RPG challenge. Originally I was going to wrap up Saturday Morning RPG but i was having trouble getting back into it(I will probably have to start fresh),so i popped in the controversial Indivisible.
unlabelledView post →Link to review: https://backloggd.com/u/RedBackLoggd/review/1892710/ Tl;dr - this is a beautiful-looking game chock-full of detailed sprites glazed atop 3D backdrops (a reverse DKC!). Colors are appropriately assigned, fonts ergonomically-chosen, and enemy designs truly evoke the COBRA parody Mighty Rabbit were going for. It’s just a shame, then, that all this effort was thrown into a dull experience that stumbles as both a love letter and lampooning. Once I realized nothing was going to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cool game that was abandoned before we got the promised 6th episode...such a shame.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Granted I only paid $0.49 for it, so I don't have much to complain and for what it is it's an alright game. The UI is really frustrating, especially if you're playing on pad because I kept trying to change the button style layout and it keeps defaulting to the keyboard style layout. And as a personal opinion, I'm not too fond of the visuals, there's more 3D elements than 2D elements and it's a bit of a mess. Honestly, if you want a game that's very 1980s esque but filled with easter eggs, go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought I would like the premise, but the game play is boring and slow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really fun, lovingly crafted RPG. I delayed buying it because I was afraid it would botch the mid-80s setting or turn out to be an unimaginative parody. That was a mistake. This game is a genuinely creative love-song to the era. The NPC's have personalities, the setting and art is delightful, and the music is perfect. One quibble is that the soundtrack could have been longer. The combat system could be deeper, but it's adequate to make the battles exciting and often challenging. I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Despite the misleading name, Saturday Morning RPG is less an RPG and more of a console style button mashing QTE game where combats are determined by smashing your keyboard exactly the right way in response to various stimuli. But, faithful to the low quality premise, this is mobile/console crapware that's been dumped on Steam hoping to cash gouge PC gamers. There's a lot of things wrong with this train wreck, and the awful gameplay is just part of it. For some reason they use ugly lazy…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning: In case of doubt, don't buy this game. - History makes no sense. - Combat is tedious and repetitive (scratching the sticks before every single battle sucks). - The only good music is the one from the trailer. So, why I recommend it? For some reason I kept playing till the end and had 2 or 3 good laughs, mainly due nostalgia and 80/90's references, I think the fact that it's episodic helped too. To sum up, buy it to fulfill your nostalgia if you got some spare change, younger…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was boring. Story doesnt even make any sense. Graphics is worst of all. Gameplay was slow and bad even old school arcade games are better. Music made my ears bleed. But the game still made me continue playing until the end. Game Recommended -30/10!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a bad little love letter to the 80s. Basically an RPG split into 5 different "episodes". Gameplay loop is explore, collect stickers to buff you and items to use in battle, get fetch quests from NPCs around the map while battling bad guys, fight an end boss in a dungeon... then onto the next episode. Your stats and items carry between episodes. There's also arena and endless modes if you really enjoy the battle system. It's a bid tedious by the last episode, but in all it's pretty fun,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty decent (though slightly buggy) indie RPG with a lot of great references to 1980s pop culture. SMRPG is worth a look if you're into RPGs, Saturday morning cartoons, and/or all things '80s.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 grindy and repetitive

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It can probably entertain you for 2-3 hours and has some fun ideas to its RPG fights. There's some cute humour paired with nostalgic homage which are pretty much the main appeal of this title. If you don't feel any nostalgia for those old 80s and 90s cartoons then its probably not going to do much for you, since as a standalone experience it feels like it doesn't really hold much weight.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The more I heard about Saturday Morning RPG, the more I was intrigued. It was a sleeper hit sort of RPG, themed after the classic cartoons and culture of the 80's, and was one of the few games handpicked by startup Limited Run Games for a physical release. Instead of shoving the existence of 80's culture in your face, Saturday Morning RPG seemed to bathe and flourish in it. There’s even one point a character that hints to the classic early 90’s flick, The Wizard. Yet, Saturday Morning RPG puts…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →God this game hit the nastalga bone just right. I may of been raised in the 90's but I get 97% of the jokes and refrenses cause me and my mom would always watch old chesse 80's and 90's movies and old 80's cartoons like HE-Man and Ducktails/Darkwing Duck when ever she had free time. It's a solid RPG with a turn based/Quick time battle system. My only gripe with this game is the broke controler bindings and that if you read between the lines the dev's said they really no longer give a ♥♥♥♥ about…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It takes a special kind of nostalgic player to enjoy this title. Buy it when the game is on sale, you won't regret it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool and artistic game. Highly Addictive, interesting story and great gameplay. Nowdays it's rare to find such a good game for a low price that doesn't suck.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing the game does is ask you what kind of button prompts you want: keyboard, PlayStation or Xbox. Second thing the game does is fail at showing you the prompt you selected and it just shows you the keyboard prompts. The third thing I noticed was that this game was written by an autistic 5 year old and that the references are completely inane and boring. Great, the main character is named after Marty McFly. Original. Oh, The Wizard showed up! He said "so bad" like the Power Glove…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a lot of fun. If you're a fan of 80's pop culture you will certainly enjoy it. There's a bit of toilet humor which I'll be honest I really did not appreciate, but it's such a small gripe it doesn't even really matter. The combat is a lot of fun, and the ranking system for how well you did in battle adds a lot to the battles. I also really like the Mac Tonight reference. Mac Tonight is really cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't for kids. Not because it has adult themes. it's because most of the appeal of this game comes from the childhood memories of people born in the early 80's. this game relies on pure Nostalgia.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game hurts both literally and figuratively. Literally because this button mashing of a game currently has my arm cramping up from spamming prompts for attacks, and figuratively because it sucks. The only thing I liked about the game was the 80's theme, and realistically I am not really a huge fan of that either. Combat is boring and repetitive, abilities all feel weak, boring, a pain to use or all of the above, the art has zero consistency, feels like it does not properly scale with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game from 2014 still advertising the free updates they're going to do to add content in 2019.... In the product-description no less. There hasn't been an update since the middle of 2015. Any other store making a false advertisement like this would be fraud. Somehow the Steam Store thinks Duty of Care doesn't apply.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to like this game, but I just can't. The combat is just...bad. And the game is pretty much all combat. There's some fun nostalgia here, but nostalgia doesn't make a game, gameplay does.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Saturday Morning RPG. It's so bad. Remember the eighties? Remember sitting in front of your TV on Saturday morning, soaking up the cartoon goodness? How it was all ridiculously over-the-top and crazy, but somehow, at the end of every half an hour episode, everything worked out? Well, if you remember those days fondly, you'll find a lot to love in Saturday Morning RPG. The trouble is, you'll also find less fun things there, too. Memory can be a fickle thing. So, What Is Saturday…
