positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My favorite way to describe this is "Stranger Things meets Zelda in 2021".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of those times I really wish I could give a neutral rating. This game was not for me, and only certain types of players will enjoy it, though it's not a bad game, just niche. Full Review: https://youtu.be/a0atQSyiySY I liked: +Retro graphical style and nice music / good aesthetics +You collect tapes which you can use to change your music at will +Lots of collectibles to find +Intriguing story +You can totally pet the dog But on the other hand: -Very slow movement speed that makes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm another person that got attracted to the visuals but the gameplay is not for me. Imo gameplay sucks. You distract enemies and go by that's it. I hate sneaking in games and this game is ALL sneaking...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No real weapons. Just ways to get enemies to be distracted long enough to get by. Reminds me of Family Guy joke about how boring a Canadian film fest would be... "I don't wish to harm you... so I won't" *the end* But seriously not really what I expected, I guess I was attracted to the visuals and they are good but the game play just is not my thing. I wouldn't say it's horrible but it's just not me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too chaotic, too little guidance, and the combat experience is too weak for too long. I know the developer reads and comments on these reviews, and I say this in honesty and with no disrespect - the game was surprisingly, and astonishingly unpleasant to play and I think this was because of the way hostile enemies are dealt with. As a matter of full transparency, I did not research this game enough in advance and only played 30 minutes before moving to Twitch streams to further check it out.…

Mayhem in Single Valley ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mayhem in Single Valley is a fun new indie, puzzle-platformer wrapped around a neat-looking pixel art world. The whole game’s premise revolves around our young hero, Jack, who is trying to save the world from mysterious events while defending it against endless monstrous zombie hordes. The game is rather confusing,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mayhem In Single Valley Review “Small Town Blues” https://youtu.be/m5-uJQpqcog Mayhem in Single Valley has a pretty neat premise: A mysterious figure poisons the water supply of your small town just as you’re heading off the art college. The poison turns animals and people into murderous zombies, thus putting a damper on your travel plans. The set up promises a bunch of relatable yet wacky adventures as you try to save your boring home town that suddenly got a lot less boring. The game sticks…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've seen a lot of people describing this as "zelda-esque", which I don't agree with. It's a very linear game. But don't let that put you of. The art style and the music are excellent, and the gameplay is fun, nice light humour and not too complex. A full playthrough took me about 7 hours, but I wasn't scouring the "rooms/levels" for powerups or collectables. You don't get the oppertunity to backtrack for collectables as the progression pushes you forward a lot, but unless you are achievement…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game! Beautiful style mixing pixel gfx + 3D, technically very well done (always smoothly running!), lots of things to do and a weird world with a lot of fun and curious things happening pushing you forward to see what's next! You can interact with almost everything you see. Lots of languages supported including my native tongue Italian (thank you guys!). The price is also a bargain for such a great game! A little gem, you should not miss, and devs are also responsive to user feedback…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend this game because the story and gameplay are very tedious to be honest. I could not even force myself to continue playing further, because the game does not cling to anything. So, the trailer was interesting and good, but on release... the feeling wasn't good. 5/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Though I have a good time playing the game, I admit that it can be very challenging and frustrating. The control is a little bit clumsy, so expect yourself to die and respawn many times. The reason why I start playing this game for the first time is the cover illustration. I just love the design. A red hooded boy being chased by crazed mutant animals. What's more unfortunate than that?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a lot to like like about this game: the unique pixel & lighting aestheic, the sinister chiptune soundtrack, even some of the quirky story beats. However, that funky facade from the beginning of the game wears off quickly. The gameplay gets a bit monotonous after the exposition ends and you start to wonder if the school will ever show up on the road you're on. It may pick up later on and that's fair, but after a decent first session, I don't feel a whole lot of motivation to keep going.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's a certain pleasure in tricking death squirrels to dive into the water while chasing you... Mayhem is a game I had a blast playing on stream. Between dodging/tricking mutates animals and the puzzles throughout the game, you are kept on your toes more times than not. I did struggle to get out of the house at first, but the journal is very concise in laying out what you need to do to clear each area. The retro graphics and movement are quite crisp and there is some hidden humor and 4th…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Jack be nimble, Jack be quick Jack buys an exploding candlestick (from the shady masked guy and proceeds to blow up several rabid radioactive squirrels hehe)

Score: 9 Pepperonis / 10 Video Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAE9-S-ri0s Plot You have to save the world from the apocalypse that you were framed for creating Thoughts • Visually this game is awesome!!! • Easily the most polished ive played in a long time • Step sister got stuck in the dryer (Could be unrelated) Pros • Very polished visuals • Well thought…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 have fun sliding to your death 95% of the time... some deaths send you sooo far back.... even with fully upgraded boots still slow... never at any point was i able to get a 2nd trashcan lid. you can upgrade extra health bar so you can hold up to 5 trashcan lids that block any 1 thing, but trashcans are so rare and only grant one lid. this game need more trashcans or trash cans give you more lids
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not recommended, gameplay is boring and instruction is insufficient.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's extremely "alright." To the point where if you're not in the mood specifically for a game like this, there isn't much worth playing it for. I just ended up not feeling like playing it in the middle of playing it. It's decent, but I'm only not recommending because there's stuff that's just better and more engaging than this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Character moves super slowly, no real idea on what to do or what direction to go. So much potential wasted.

I want to hurry and finish the review so I can play more! Mayhem in Single Valley is a polished, sharp, fun little adventure game that hits ya like a catchy 80s pop song; you can't get it out of your head! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mayhem in Single Valley is a charming mix of action, puzzles, and exploration. The attractive pixel graphics and lively settings capture your attention, with the clever storyline and funny conversations keeping you amused. Absolutely recommended to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Mayhem in Single Valley" is a handheld (Switch) ported hybrid adventure game, third person platformer, puzzle game and stealther... which is ambitious and would make for a slam dunk if it was implemented properly. "Mayhem in Single Valley" was not implemented properly. Plotwise this is something a 10 year old probably came up with... your hometown is infested by zombies and you have to save it. Hear that knock on the door? Yeah, it's not the Pulizter people. There's a lot of (valid)…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game isn't as good as it looks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun little game. A few hours of genuinely wanting to solve the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game deserves more recognition
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun pixel adventure
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can pet that dog. 10/10 But in all seriousness, it's pretty fun. 8.6/10 Sometimes it's super easy to get lost on the questline, and you cant really backtrack to certain areas so make sure if you're going completionist, you're exploring as you go. But the music is really good, and how its executed is really awesome. The lacking death penalty first run makes it easier to learn. But definitely feels rogue-lite-esq. Really cute art style though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AMAZING GAME! MUY ENTRETENIDO
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was first just getting the game out of boredom, but it is honestly a very fun adventure game! The controls are easy to grasp. There are many different puzzles and mechanics in the game, leaving every level to feel fresh and a new challenge. The game awards you for exploring the world by having you find collectables and mini-yous that give out duct tape (a world currency used for upgrades and buying explosives). The duct tape is pretty common, but don't use it all on explosives as you can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting game. Two games I played this week involved playing a young character that was running away from home, and then adventure happens. So that's what you got. There's no attack. you pickup items to throw, and this will disctract enemies ( later on, you can cure enemies with the items in the same way after you do a thing ) The graphics are interesting, it's 2d pixel work, but it's in 2.5D worlds that you can move freely in ( with a fixed angle of view, hence the 2.5D moniker ) the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent Game overall [6.5/10] Great artstyle and music but the gameplay and story are not. Gameplay: Gameplay is not as bad as people claiming it to be but its also not something people would be very interested to try. most of the time you throw items to bait or cure enemies (which is interesting for me as a concept) game also gives you different things to play around with like being able to move objects and knock enemies into the water or use dynamite to knock em out. still devs could…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: Good artstyle, soundtrack is pretty good, humor and writing are ok Cons: Lost interest after about an hour of playtime, spent 10 minutes trying to find a single item in the room i was in because there weren't any hints or visual cues I could see, "combat" consists more of throwing things you find on the ground at enemies and running away, took too long to get the slingshot maybe i'll try playing it some more and see if my review changes but for now it's not leaving the best first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good weird action/platform/adventure game. Who doesn't like throwing fruit at zombies?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play the game, it's well done. Cool graphics, great soundtrack and SFX and a rather unique experience overall. 7.8/10 in my humble opinion. Have fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A strange game with clever visuals and subpar gameplay. You sneak around and die a bunch of times because of strange instant death creatures and have to learn creature pathing patterns to progress. Wish it was more fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A delightful little indie adventure game that's worth a buy . As someone else has already commented , this game can be described as "Stranger things meets Zelda" .
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, the comedy is great & nostalgic. Feels like playing trough the fantasy of a child, well done
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first thing comes to mind: "the f@ck is this ♥♥♥♥?". Then I got a "mission" where I need to practice to throw some ♥♥♥♥. Im done.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great adventure platformer. The game is filled with some great puzzles and game references. It's nice that the devs give you different options for solutions for some puzzles. The only issues were minor ones: 1) Sometimes it wasn't clear what I was suppose to be doing or where I'm suppose to go. 2) Humans would often block exits/entrances. So you'd need to wait till they moved. 3) Not being able to find "edibles" when I've found a few refill stations. I ended up holding jars or edibles until…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i enjoyed the game a lot but i wouldn't recommend to purchase in full price i do recommend you wait for it to be either around 10$ or below for the time it takes to complete
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First Demo was good and now the full gameplayed is really good!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The ending was so stupid. 7.35/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mayhem in Single Valley is a very unique game that has a style that, while borrowing heavily from other games, feels like it's own thing. I really have had a hard time comparing it to games. I think I've settled on a bit of Zombies Ate My Neighbors with some RPG and Platformer Collect-a-thon goodness. The fun starts off with Jack getting ready to leave for college and dealing with fallout from his family for leaving them to pursue higher education. In the middle of making final preparations to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, visually beautiful, good level design, and no hand-holding (as puzzle/platformers shouldn't).

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rarely do you find a game which tries something new, and it does not feel out of place. This game is a cute and funny adventure with puzzles and zombies. Sure we've seen that before, but give it a go and you'll see... not like this. I thoroughly loved playing through this game and I would easily recommend it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty cool game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game, like MANY Tiny build games is yet another Indie Developer gem. The game managed to keep me entertained till the end with it's many silly jokes, 4th wall breaking and weird storyline, the collectables along the way forced me to explore even if the areas were more dangerous (what can i say?, i'm a sucker for achievements) and the game even managed to tug at a heartstring or two. The only drawback i can point out is that the game is a bit short but i enjoyed it immensly, definitely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Purchased on sale as I have a thing for pixel graphics and I wasn't disappointed. Don't be fooled by appearance though, this game is NOT combat focused, but is more about exploration, problem solving, and the story narrative. There are some frustrating spots born of poor design, but overall, it was absolutely worth the price of admission.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing pixel art game. Fun interactions and dialogues and storytelling !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hidden indie gem. I haven't beat the game yet but I'm really enjoying it so far. It's got humor, puzzles, engaging level design, and bumping tunes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just buy it , sell your sister for ,money if you don t have , just buy it !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/p_x9C6TTHB0 Taking it's time to slowly introduce both the mechanics and the narrative the early game experience is overly dry and may disengage players from pushing forward.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this from the Humble Bundle so I did not pay full price. While I love the visuals the gameplay itself feels so stiff and rough for a game releasing in 2022, I think there were certainly better ways to do it. Based on other reviews I read there is no combat in this game, which ultimately I believe is fine but when your game is built around physics and movement, those systems have to be REALLY good and they just aren't here. It just feels like you're walking through thick oily sludge the…
