Buyer beware: most reviews were written in a time where VR was still relatively novel, and so any game that did more than "teleport movement and look around at environments" became notable. Sairento VR is one of those. It's a painfully early-VR title in it's jank (The way player scaling and arms work, the clunky menus, the finnicky reloading and weapon two-handing), its incredibly simplistic gameplay (You can shoot and jump around. Shooting doesn't feel particularly good. Jumping feels okay…

First thing, I am not giving this a negative review because the game is not fun. If all you are looking for is some VR shooting and slashing with good parkour mechanics mixed in, this could be for you. But hear me out, this game is unpolished and is just outdated compared to modern standart VR titles. Even tho Junping and wallrunning etc works great most of the time, you do often get stuck on terrain, only able to teleport and not move freely. The home menu is just annoying to navigate because…

Yes, you're a ninja in this game... But I can best describe your character as having Spidermans agility while carrying Deadpools weapons (guns and swords). Mixing and matching all your physical abilities and weapons leads to some fun times as you are delivering death to your foes at all angles (VR Backflips anyone?... Yes Please!). But its essentially an arena shooter, the gameplay doesn't necessarily evolve much past the first level and there is not much variety in enemy types. About mid game…

The single best VR game I've ever seen for people who don't get motion sickness. All those comfort options? Teleport, screen fade, vignette, snap turn? You can turn them ALL off. You can have full locomotion and smooth turning. You can slide, and jump. You can do triple slowmo spinning tumble flips while shooting dual pistols at everything you see. If there's anything that remotely touches the movement possibilities of this game, I've never found it.

This is how it would feel playing as the main character from Katana ZERO. Now with backflips, slow mo, bullet dodging and wallrunning (basically you're in Matrix). Awesome game

The game is quite good and i remembered it fondly until i tried playing it with index controllers, it has become nearly unplayable with them. If you want to feel like a robot ninja and you use non-index controllers it's a blast, if you use the index avoid it.

It's a very early VR title, and for a modern gamer playing it today, it has aged poorly. I'm sure it was groundbreaking then, but for today's standards it's repetitive and doesn't feel very smooth or interesting after the first few minutes.

This game has problems, specifically in performance/visual fidelity/feedback to player interaction (specifically Melee hits feel a bit janky, I have been spoiled by more modern VR titles), but it was from the earlier generation of VR games. When it works, it is super fun and a unique experience yet unreplicated in VR. specifically because unlike most VR shooters, it lets you fully disable comfort options to do crazy stuff like backflips off walls, which is the coolest thing ever for someone…

Sairento feels like something out of an alternate timeline where devs weren't too scared of making their players vomit and VR games were made with PC in mind. Triple jumps, near-instant dashes, wallrunning, and backflips all in first person are still exhilarating in 2024; Even several years after getting my "VR legs", my brain still tries to escape my skull while doing slow-mo backflips and I love it every time. This is the only game I've played that appropriately utilizes teleport movement:…

Arcade and casual, but at the same time very fun and interesting to play. You can customize the difficulty for yourself, it’s an excellent arena shooter for VR. From begin available lots of different weapons to play with. There is a campaign if you get bored of clearing arenas.

This is a 'maybe' recommendation. The core of a good game is there – you can jump around, wallrun, slice enemies and even do fun manoeuvres like sliding as you land by crouching. It feels cools for a short while as you play the opening sections of the game, and I won't pretend that I don't have a blast playing it. But the enemies themselves feel half-baked. You have basic grunts that shoot bullets, basic grunts that do ranged sword attacks, magician enemies that do ranged attacks, stronger…

This is not the "AAA tittle for a budget price" I was led to believe by certain publications. If you are looking for a game with a good campaign, I burned through it fairly quickly and was not impressed by the story much other than the fact they payed for a decent voiceover performance. Not a whole lot was explained to me in the game, like what all the fabricators and intel tokens I was grabbing are for. I seem to have currency but could not find any shop in the menus to spend it on. There is…

Great game...if you have an Oculus headset. The gameplay? Its arcade and just plain fun, however my gripes with this game are that once i fell in love with vr, I upgraded to an Index. As such, on the index, the controls are terrible. Still recommend and the devs appear to be active so thats good, just wish they would fix the game for Index users.

I view Sairento as a futuristic cyberpunk Japan with the ability to accelerate through time (aka bullet time). With an impressive amount of weapons, and the ability to upgrade your weapons and armor with varying traits, there are tons of ways to fight your opponents. There are also multiple skill trees to enhance your agent. The campaign/story is very light. Stop the bad guy and his henchmen from taking over the city. That doesn't take long, so the real gameplay here is different missions you…

Such a wonderful game. According to amounts of adrenaline and intensity it provides, the only noticeable disadvantage is a lack of agressive soundtrack (it is not bad, but doesn't entirely match the pace). Everything else is great. Abilities to perform multiple jumps, slides, to slow down time and even do back/front/side flips (which are kinda tricky in VR, as you will get dizzy eventually) are the ones, that make the game a true masterpiece for dynamic gameplay fans. If you plan to play this seated I'd recommend avoiding this game. Height adjustment is nonexistent so you end up stuck in a crouched position, this not only causes you to be towered over by enemies but you also end up sliding every time you try to jump, I could turn off sliding in the options menu but I shouldn't be forced to turn off game features to make up for the fact that this game doesn't have a seated offset. Don't list your game as being compatible with seated play when it clearly…

I couldn't get into it at all. It felt really clunky, the controls are poorly designed, the main menu is an abomination of confusion, and the game itself feels totally unrewarding. It felt like the developers couldn't step back from it and see it from the point of view of new players. It might be good if you're already experienced in playing it, but I'm not devoting my time to it on that off-change. A huge disappointment.

i don't know about you guys but this ♥♥♥♥ doodoo. I started it up, the menu was weird and counterintuitive, i picked a wave mode not knowing because everything is listed as a "mission". Wasn't given any tutorial nor information on what to do, so had to figure out everything on my own. Didn't take much time until I gave up on trying to learn how to play the game. Compared to games like Boneworks, Beat Saber and Gorn, this is definitely a downgrade.

The description of this game is absolutely correct—Sairento is a perfect example of what VR gaming is all about. Sairento is what you get when you take the most stylish movement shooters, blend them together, and transform it into virtual reality. Being able to do triple jumps, wall slides, and slow-motion backflips is exhilarating even in flatscreen titles, but is an entirely unique and thrilling feeling in VR.
