60 of 183 · most liked firstAfter spending 4–5 hours playing this game with a friend, I have to say—it’s one of the most unique VR titles I’ve experienced so far. What I liked + + The dynamic gameplay is incredible. Somersaults, wall runs, and more—it feels fluid and exhilarating. + The combat has a stylish flair that strangely reminds me of Devil May Cry, which is a huge plus. + Enemy and boss designs are wild and imaginative—definitely stands out. + The brutal, fast-paced action is satisfying, and tearing enemies…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite honestly? probably the best VR Game i have ever played, no exaggeration. It plays like a VR adaptation of Devil May Cry, so many skills can interact with one another in so many ways. Granted, some combinations are less interesting or useful than others, but the game's fun factor and your ability to be a badass is pretty much only limited by your creativity. Make no mistake, this isn't a VR game for those just getting their VR legs. I personally think this is VR as a medium at it's best,…

The VR games Breachers, Legendary Tales, Big Shots and Hellsweeper VR are supported natively. Others are to follow. bHaptics offers two different models in the Tactsuit X series: the Tactsuit X16 and the Tactsuit X40 with 16 or 40 vibration motors and prices between 329 and 529 US dollars.

Developed by Mixed Realms Pte Ltd and published by Vertigo Games, the game is designed with a clear philosophy: VR should feel powerful, kinetic, and demanding. Rather than softening its systems to accommodate comfort-first design, Hellsweeper VR embraces speed, aggression, and full-body engagement,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I REALLY want to like this game, but I can't. First, the "over ten enemy types" means glorified reskins of the same 3 enemies with more health and stronger attacks but virtually not a single other difference. Second, the backflip mechanics (a setting you have to enable) feel awful because it slows down time with no way to speed things up. Third, the game crashes my whole computer if I try to open the SteamVR menu while it's loading ANYTHING. Fourth, to my knowledge, there is no way of replaying…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →trying to be too much ends up being too little the mob kills aren't satisfying. the weapons aren't satisfying. the progression isn't satisfying. the boss fight wasn't satisfying inventory system is buggy. movement system is buggy (both likely due to overall bloat)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the way it does the gun shoot stabby time magic thing. Wish multiplayer had the endless mode, and also wish more difficulties were unlocked from the start since the game can be a bit easy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Peak Vr Game, If You Get Motion Sick You Have A Weak Bloodline.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely one of the best roguelike VR games to date. -Plays on the rule of cool -Bunch of unlocks -Plenty of variety in builds. -The gesture/conjuring system is fun as hell and flexible enough to make it your own. Magic, Guns, Melee and DOG! All can combine with each other in fun unique ways. I knew the game was gonna be sick when i unlocked an upgrade for the swords where I could slide them across one another to light them aflame. Couple recommendations! >Do empty loadout modifier if you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I personally didn't like it. Played for two hours. Tried using strategy but the level one boss was defeated by simply standing underneath it and wiggling my sword at it for 30 seconds. It isn't like traversing a dungeon or anything, you are set into arenas one at a time and the tasks are like "survive for 55 seconds." Then you don't have any reason to fight anything and can just wander around the arena for a minute. You spend more time collecting loot from smashing pillars and opening…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not great YET. this game has a lot of potential and it's still early in its development, it has some problems and at the moment it's just okay, but the art direction is solid the gameplay can be a bit repetitive but that's a given with rougelikes and it's still fun regardless. it'll only get better with time so give it some support and have fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →reminds me of devil may cry but in vr with arena areas
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really awesome, it has everything that makes for an awesome roguelite experience. There's lots of weapons/spells, all with their own really cool usages, like holding the Pistol sideways will make the bullets bounce, combining 2 spells of the same or different types allows you to control a storm that can freeze, burn, shock, explode or something else cool. There's lots of different ways to kill monsters and builds to make. The thing that also really strengthens the build…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game plays to the rule of cool like its a guidebook. This is a game clearly made by talented people, with cool creative ideas, who definitely play enough VR to know how to utilize the medium well. At its core this game is a roguelike where you gain different abilities, modifiers, and weapons. You can play this as a shooter, a melee slasher, a magician or even all of them at the same time if you master the game. The visuals are crisp, the enemies and environments are cool as hell, the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the game so far the combat feels smooth its a really good game to turn your brain off blast some rock music and just kill a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of stuff
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hands down the best VR game there is! The devs have faithfully continued to support this amazing title that showcases the best combat in all of VR. You can use melee weapons, a variety of magic and an arsenal of guns. The magic system is so deep and allows for a variety of combinations with incredibly devastating effects on your enemies. There is a dedicated button for bullet time and the wall running and backflip mechanics are so well done! Thank you Mixed Realms and Vertigo for this game, it…

At first, potential disappointment because we thought it was limited to two players, but they just released an update that bumped it up to three players. I like this game because it feels like DMC/Bayonetta/Dante's Inferno and a little bit of Doom, but all in VR. The best part is that the visuals and controls are snappy as hell (pun intended) and you actually feel in control of your character's insane movements without it feeling…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally, a good quality game on PC that is not either a console port or low effort. THERES OFFSET SETTINGS This option should be basic stuff in VR. not all people are built EXACTLY the same. Though, I love it already, some tiny bugs and invisible walls need to be fixed, not game breaking and definetly not noticeable if you really try and look for it, didnt ruin a second out of the hour i spent in there, havent enjoyed VR like that in a long while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just like Sairento, this is a Phenomenal game. There are so many fun tools for you play with. There is a dog you can summon with a squeaky toy, and if you upgrade it, you can summon it just by whistling so it doesn't even need a slot. You can infuse it with elements and give it weapons for it to fight with and it does a surprisingly good job at staying alive and kicking enemy butts. I gave mine a gun and I modified the gun with autoreload so it just ran around gunning everyone down. You…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is sick!! really makes you feel badass, using so many different weapons and different ways of using them. but they all feel really satisfying. flying through the air in slow motion and comboing enemies with magic, guns and meele, cutting enemies into pieces. really fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun and so many interesting weapon and magic combinations to play with. The game does suffer a lot with it's art style leading to a lot of enemies and their moves reading very same-y in the heat of the moment, and the UI/UX could use some work and a lot more explanation. (e.g. I am 1.94m and the hip slot is nigh unusable for me, taking priority over where I naturally attempt to drag down to get my downwards grab grip equipment)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cool VR game and good fun in COOP. Worth giving it a go!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well well, what can I say... If I could recommend something twice, I'd do it in a heartbeat for this game! If the previous game by the same team, "Sairento VR"(really, check this one out as well) was an experiment, a brave one at that; this game is a Statement. The team put all their lessons learned, their passion and soul into this game. It's difficult to describe it, for different styles play out really differently, each weapon has a soul. I can see the DMC inspiration in the basic…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really solid game that I enjoy a lot, good weapon customization, and I'm really liking the atmosphere
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've tried a lot of games in VR and this is absolutely the best one. incredible amount of weapons, spells, and abilities, with wild combinations and unlockable perks and playstyles. as a for-instance: initially you'll get three elements to mess with, each one having an energy ball you can throw, a special unique move you can do with that energy ball, and if you conjure one in each hand you can slam them together to do a much larger spell which can be cast out or made to explode around you.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a loop of several randomly created levels, ending with a boss fight. It's just about leveling and unlocking equipment. Boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ive been addicted to sairento for 3 years and I must say this is not fun. 2/10 Missing so many elements from the previous game All this creativity to be put into this game just to be executed horribly as a unfun rougelike Movement : Brother EEUUUUUHHHHHH, WHATS THAT??? Thats a Slide??? Why ISNT HE WALLRUNNING PROPERLY?? UNCONTROLLABLE AIRDASH CAUSE I CANT CHANGE MY DEADZONES?? negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really solid VR roguelike that has seen tons of free updates from the dev. Love the new wave mode, the elemental iterations of normal enemies, and the new boss kicked my butt multiple times. One of the better rogues you can play in VR, up there with Until You Fall, Underdogs, & In Death.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sairento was one of my first VR games that I really got into, and Hellsweeper has the same sauce that makes a great game, if there wasn't a game breaking bug that stopped a run dead in its tracks. The main door to start an area gets blocked off before we could enter the arena and no enemies spawned so we were unable to progress so the run is dead. The Staff weapon is unable to combine elements except the co op player can properly interact to add the secondary element, but the player…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute must-have if you love multiplayer action games, and they're still delivering massive updates to this day. It's well-worth the money and one of the most fun experiences I've had in VR.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the best-looking Xbox 360 game I've ever played with the jank of a ps2 game packed in to a package that functions as reliably as a first-party wii game. $7 all day
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i know it says i only have an hour which is true but to be fair I just bought it ant its not 1am. so my first impressions are this is amazing. I turned on wall running and somersaults and instantly fell in love. put the jump at full force and now just have to master the movement but I tell you when I was jumping around wall running flipping in the air using my levitation skill to hold 3 pistols at once shooting them at the same time or holding multiple blades with it and turning them into a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →huge let down. So close to being great but the controls are constantly in the way, gameplay gets repetitive after just a few hours, hardly any enemy types, super easy to cheese the whole game by maxing out heath regen and life leech, and the menu that lets you disable certain skills just does not exist despite being a high enough level that i should be able to do so, so i constantly get useless skills i dont want. Blood magic doesnt even work, the reloads are completly unresponsive even after…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Basically Sairento with a different theme and multiplayer. Good ♥♥♥♥. The game is way too buggy and grindy... which is a shame because the weapons are really awesome. I'm hosting and my guest friend doesn't get weapon unlocks. I wish it had a proper campaign like Sairento.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really simplifying it so I can just give a good review: Devil May Cry in VR.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game that had a bad launch. Dev pulled off a No Man Sky and now it's the best VR arena roguelike.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tons of progress to keep you coming back for more. Fun solo or with friends.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What can I say.... Fantastic. Vertigo makes great games, but this action rogue is as perfect as I have seen. Everything rocks. The sheer number of weapons and magics now is flooring. Magic weapon combos...... booyakasha! I do wish there was a way to start a match and have a rando join mid way, but oh well. This game is a buy all freggin day. It is in fact my favorite action game to date. Buy it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is SO much fun, especially with a friend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you want to play this game single player I say go for it, 100% worth it. however, I want to play with my friends, and for some reason I cant. PC to PC. Steam to Steam. My friends and I cannot join each other. its very frustrating and ruins the game. keep getting "failed to retrieve online info" error.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These gaming gods have blessed us with the glory that is the 'unstuck' button. Praise be them. Now I can sunmersault to my hearts content. Now we just need the option to rejoin in-progress run. Me and a bud were on the second boss of infernal, when he was inexplicably kicked... Worst part is that it prevented the boss alter spawning! So I couldn't even continue! The latter difficulties are too much work to be cucked like that. 4 star, 5 if they fix the bugs
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Incredibly fun. Once you get the hang of it and start unlocking and upgrading your equipment its amazing. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note: If there is a way to replace this game's messy control scheme with Sairento's elegant, intuitive control scheme, I'll happily change this review to Recommended. -- I love the aesthetic, the physics, the level design and some of the gameplay. So why no recommendation? Perplexingly, the devs seem to have scrapped the perfect Sairento controls for a gesture based weapon selection system that is unintuitive and therefore feels unresponsive. Gesturing up, down, left, or right while holding…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great concept, but flawed execution. The ability to combine almost every weapon/ability in the game with a wide selection of skills is fantastic. Unfortunately, the bugs range from funny visual glitch to completely unplayable. The last straw was the bug where you get locked in the starting 'room' and can't even start the level. Happened 3 times and blocks all progress. I also wouldn't call this a roguelite if you can just set your starting loadout every time. While there is an option to go…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely a very fun co-op VR roguelite hack & slash! There's no story, and maps are simple arenas; however enemies are versatile and varied, while your weapons are many and extremely variable thanks to upgrades, modifications, elemental infusions, alternate modes, and even the occasional combination. Functionally, a cooperative gladiator arena. A bit pricey at $40 CDN, but for how smooth and dynamic it can be paired with how extremely mobile the player is and how many good combat options you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Hellsweeper VR" - A Must-Play for Action and VR Enthusiasts! As a big fan of Sairento VR, I was eager to dive into Hellsweeper, and it did not disappoint. This game takes the best elements of fast-paced VR action and cranks them up to 11. The variety of playstyles is incredible, and I genuinely enjoyed experimenting with every single one of them. The combat mechanics are brilliantly designed, and each style feels rewarding and distinct. I'm someone who loves chasing 100% achievements in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Maybe I don't understand how it works, but everything feels lacklustre, nothing sounds or feels punchy or heavy or meaty. I don't feel like I'm doing much often, and a double handed sword is the only thing that does real damage. Maps are over shortly after they begin, just a simple arena shooter with a lot of movement mechanics that don't really do much to enhance the gameplay. Often overwhelmed by enemies that don't seem to do much anyway, no real combat outside of just dodging everything and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first i thought this is just Fantasy-Sairento and i was hyped for that. Turns out, this is Fantasy-Sairento...2 With a Rougelite!. It takes many things from its predecessor. Mostly the things that worked well (Gunplay, variance, movement), and replaces the things that didnt work (mostly the inventory system) with polished alternatives. The result is a VR title that blew me away with how well everything works. The new inventory system is just plain fun and finding all those movements and…
