Rush for Berlin is a 2006 real-time tactics game set in World War II. In the contest for the German capital Berlin, the player must fight with the American, British, French, and Soviet armies. 60 of 61 · most liked firstThis game is much better than I expected, especially for the price. I've played many games priced higher than this that don't offer the same amount of enjoyment. I am especially fond of how each country speaks their own language, unless addressing something vital.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While focused on the combat more then anything else, RFB Gold is a fun game. Like i said, it focus is on the combat. You don't have workers gather resourses, no buildings to be made, straight to the point; war. And, thankfully, its fun. There are 3 armies to choose from, Germany, US, and Russia, but aside from one or two unique unites, they all play the same. I've only started the main story, but have put some time into deathmatches. You can play with or against bots (yay!) and the AI is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I sunk HOURS into this game when I was younger. Does it hold up to my memories? Hell yes. Even now, when I'm spoiled by games like CoH2, This games is still a good RTS. Graphics are good, (Except for the cutscenes...but those are so hilariously animated that it's hard to hate them.) Controls aren't awkward, and there isn't a butt ton to memorize. There are pop culture refences all over the game (Like, one time as the soviets, I captured the enemy base, and a soldier said: "Run Nazis! All your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I first played the vanilla game several years ago, with the Western Allies, Russian, German and French campaigns. It was quite possibly the greatest RTS game I have ever played, using a great system involving infantry, vehicles and crews, artillery, officers, airborne troops, all sorts of good stuff. With the Gold version, the "Rush for the Bomb" mode is added, detailing a fictional front of WWII with the rush to build the atomic bomb. Started as a great game, now became better.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Five WWII campaigns from a great (although now defunct) developer called Stormregion for $1.24: somewhat dated by today's standards but nonetheless fun to play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game, great campaign great graphics the only bad part is the multiplayer is lan and bots only. 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is crap! A very unrealistic WW2 RTS, badly implemented, ripoff of Blitzkreig 2. Armour values on tanks are completely fictitious. Graphics are poor. Difficulty levels are obscene. Most (maybe all) scenarios have time limits, a pet hate of mine in RTS games. Voice acting dreadful. Appears unpolished, unfinished and unprofessional. It is SO crap that not even the title here on the Steam Store / Library and the title of the game itself match. You see it as "Rush for Berlin" here? In the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this. What other WW2 rts has a Maus superheavy tank in it? But I can't. Controls are unresponsive Pathfinding is terrible, units actually bump into mountains and then stop for a second, and then go perpendicularly until they hit another mountain. HP system is wack. Vehicles are underpowered when every infantry carries mines and grenades that 2 shots it. Graphics are lackluster Such an interesting concept brought down by execution
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game, fun to play
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game made in 2006 , it aged (at least to me) really ok , besides the difficulty (sometimes it's kinda unfair) , graphics didn't aged that well but still the models for troops and tanks are good , but the french campaign although fun , they didn't remake the american troops , just added 2 new troops and 1 command . Although it has some flaws , for a game that is 15 years old it's solid . I give it a 9/10 +nostalgia factor (played it when i was a kid)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game Fixes and Bugs This game has no problem running on Windows 10. I highly recommend setting the game on Window 7 Compatibility as it starts crashing on German campaign. RFTB(Rush for Bomb) Campaign is included and it is not buggy compare to the original. In order to unlock German and French campaign you have to complete either Western Allied or Russian campaign. Do not bother playing Hard mode or try to unlock all medals. You do not unlock anything in this game. Some missions it is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rush For Berlin is a 2009 RTS game that is developed by Stormregion and published by Deep Silver. It is set in the middle and final years of World War II. Gameplay:- Rush For Berlin is an RTS game, I made that clear, but there is a lot of thinking for it. you got to keep a lot of your tanks active and soldiers alive if you want to win the war. Each tank and unit has special abilities. Like for example a T-34 soviet tank can ram into it's opposing tanks due to the "For the motherland!" run they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rush for Berlin Gold is a realisticWorld War II strategy game that involves the armed forces of the United States, Free France, Germany and the Soviet Union. The game contains solid graphic even by 2017 standard. Every factions have historically accurate units. The game is very combat focused, which means you don't have to worry about the economy and building bases. All you need to do is "Rush For Berlin".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i excpected a high action WW2 battle RTs but instead i got 10 min of my soldiers walking acorss the map. and the game is also unclear with your mission for example i could not even figure out what to do on the first mission even when i went to the yellow circles in short what is this game? cancer (i recommend buying civ 5 instead if you enjoy controling troops and managing a country)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Очень не плохая стратегия на тему Второй Мировой Войны,но сделанная явно на любителей,потому,на большее,чем посредственный проходнячок игра не тянет.Тем не менее,поиграть в игру стоит.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found this frustrating and just couldn't engage with it. For some reason even on easy I found it ridiculously hard at times. It just didn't draw me in enough to want to figure it out, so uninstalled after mission 4 which was just annoying. It's not a bad game per se and has aged relatively well, but I just didn't enjoy the time I spent with it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For me this game was always an example of how such games should be made, there are several interesting campaigns with great storyline, unique missions and units, many great funny cutscenes, lots of so-called 'easter eggs' in most (if not all) missions, that made me replay them again and again, as it felt like i'd necessarily miss something out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning! The following MIGHT turn off players: -TIME LIMIT -VOICE ACTING (even though each army is voice acted in his/her own native language, whice is kind of cool) -GRAPHICS/ANIMATION (standard 2000 era RTS styl) -CLUNKY CONTROLES Now before I continue, I have been eyeing this game for 2 years, before I bought it on steam and yes, this game can actually work on mondern systems. I am playing this on Windows 8.1 and it works fine, but here is where things get strange, I have to play this game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is Buggy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good RTS from my childhood. It's basically Team Fortress 2 or Inglourious Basterds if either of them were a World War II RTS The worst thing you can do is watch an American officer punch an entire crew off an enemy tank and think to yourself, "Hmm, I should probably start judging this game's historical accuracy" This game doesn't try to be historically accurate, nor does it try to be particularly realistic. It has plenty of funny and absurd moments and easter eggs here and there, but it's…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Budget CoH. Just play that one instead of wasting your time with this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →try it for the price of an icecream if ya like . for a 7gig download there is alot better games out there .
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The constant hint pop-ups make it a terrible day to have eyes. It's like Close Combat, but worse because it constantly assumes you can't figure out how to play. Also the control scheme is awful.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i highly recommend it, i was on a goal from 2021 to play through ALL cdc/storm region ww2 rts games. i own the original blitz kreig on CD, same for code name panzers (both of them which i loved since i was a kid) and now i finally played through most of the game. generally trying to get them all done in as little time as possible. i love rush for berlin/rush for the bomb and recommend it to any one who likes rts
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 Was expecting more from the codename panzer devs. Can't decide if it wants to be a real time tactics or an RTS with force building mechanics. While i like the different focus of the campaigns, soviet being armor, allies being infantry and the german missions somewhere in between. The problem is the game is unfair on how it hard counters these styles. Missions with tanks are riddled with super heavy emplaced guns that can 1 shot armor and groups of infantry. The western missions are a maze…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like RTS games. I only played one hour yet but I really like it. The fire range could be a bit far but at all the game is fine. It's graphic is still good in 2017. I recommend this game for those who likes RTS games like Codename series, Blitzkrieg and etc. games. It's totally worth the money I spent for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game just sucks the life out of you
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is the worst from the Codename: Panzers series. Pros: - Funny cut-scenes - Better graphics than Codename: Panzers, Phase One and Codename: Panzers, Phase Two Cons: - Controls are much worse than Codename: Panzers - Several missions with unlimited enemies - Last missions are brutal or extremely slow (you need to wait for hours to get resources to create decent army) Get it with highest discount as possible or get any other Codename game (better)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good if you haven't played anything in the RTT genre. It's bad compared to Sudden Strike and Blitzkrieg. The combat is flaccid, spongey and downright laughable, clearing a map in SS or Blitzkrieg feels more or less like you are in an actual battle. Clearing step by step, moving units around, operating logistics, positioning your scout and artillery. It's trying to reinvent hot water, without knowing why the water is hot in the first place, Just buy Blitzkrieg or Sudden Strike(the old…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Before Company of Hero's there was Rush For Berlin or how I grew to love the "Bomb" Dr Strangelove! Same concepts from COH. Started loving WW2 era games back when Sega Saturns IronStorm was a thing back in 88 . Excellent overall story lines and ability to use different Factions.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →infantry is better than tanks. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great Game addictive and fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a quite interesting piece of video game history. Its quite well done quality wise even though you can see how old it is already. The storytelling is compelling and quite well done, especially the german campaign where you get rid of hitler and then desperately try to get a truce with your adversaries. Unit Models and Voice Acting is superb in my opinion. One of my favorite childhood games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Tactical - Squad & Military Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Dated redundant experience of the Blitzkrieg variety. Would rather stick with retro commandos games or go for juggernauts of the genre like company of heroes if I am going to spend that much time on this kind of experience. This is an early 3D RTS engine featuring a bunch of instance-based missions. Game follows conventions of the genre and has you micromanage small number of units across a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the grahpics and game play are great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic game I first played this before Steam existed a really entertaining game I recommend it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works fine on a win 7 laptop. Might be my laptop, but the load time is definitely long on certain maps. A tactical rts with no base building. On certain missions you can recruit more units, but for the majority of those missions your existing units are good enough. I liked how they would give you a video preview of the current mission. You do get a core group that you can level up if they survive, but they only go to the 3rd rank and level up fast and you could only deploy a fraction of them,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although I haven't played through much of Rush for Berlin, for those of you who are familiar with the COH series, this is similar, but you don't build or battle for resources. I would recommend this for those of you who want to get straight to the fighting. Graphics are light and "pretty" looking, and overall a good game for the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy sh*t this game is amazing, on par with the Command & Conquer series! Amazing graphics and gameplay with MANY campaigns, even a functioning multiplayer via LAN. "Online" via GameSpy is shown but they've been defunct since 2013, RIP... Love this, and I suck at RTS games. 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like this kind of game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most fine I've had in a classic ww2 game in a while.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note to self - don't buy anymore games, that are not in wide screen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the simplified and slightly watered down little brother of Codename Panzers amped up on copious amounts of weird miscellaneous drugs he found on the side of the road under a garbage can. if you like the gameplay or general feel of Codename Panzers Phase 1 & 2, you'd probably like this. Though, as said, this game doesn't really try to take itself as seriously as the former, especially in Rush for the Bomb where just about all (little) semblance of historical accuracy this game tried to have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little jewel of an RTS game. I played it for old time's sake but was pleasantly surprised to find it is still very fun. Different story from what we're used to in WWII RTS games, relatively advanced mechanics for its time and super goofy cutscenes. And for $5???
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Most amazing WWII Strategy Game I have ever played. It gives the player a lesson in history from all sides of the conflict during the European Theater of Operations.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 I simply cannot find a game more well made and utterly glorious. If I could give it 12/10 i would. Truly a title that cannot be better!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →quite pretty wwII game for a good prize, i can only recommend this piece of code. For a better resolution You must set this optimal lounch options settings: -windowed -width 1280
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great 2WW strategy mostly without creating units. Not as good as original Codename Panzers but still way better then ♥♥♥♥♥ like Company of Heroes and similar.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game studio, too bad they don't make games anymore This one is a great game, does have occasional bugs but they're minimal
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →that same feeling of when I met Commandos 2, challenging in the right measure (although you can break Commandos 2 easily) and very beautiful for a 2007 RTS. if you came from curiosity, play and enjoy a cool game of its time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have had this game for years, i have always enjoyed it, so every now and then....i Rush For Berlin.!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →stop uo dating games ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like RTS warfare with tanks and small squads of men then this is likely something you already have in your library, if not then you might have spoilt your appetite with other games that fit this genre. Personally it's a favourite in this kind of genre and unfortunely it only has spiritual successors since the developers now defunct. Like I've said in another review, if I could jump into a time machine and intervene at the point of purchasing, I wouldn't intervene since it was worth…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar to Blitzkrieg.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What I like most of this game is the 3D battles. It's very similar to COH series even if COH is far more advanced and has base building, ect.
