For veterans, it’s a faithful revival of the 2006 cult classic, bringing back the familiar charm of Rogue’s story and bio-chip squadmates with sharper visuals. For newcomers, it may feel dated—its mechanics are simple and its design shows its age—but it still delivers a unique, straightforward shooter with personality. Whether you’re reliving old memories or discovering Nu-Earth for the first time, Redux captures the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the first game i've ever played. i was so young that i even forgot the game's name and searched for years and years and by the time i found the game, i was the little kid who played this game for the first time again. i love this game so much that it's a part of me. if you don't have a past with this game, it won't hype you that much probably but still worth to try. believe me, it's great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DO NOT BUY ; GAME IS UNABLE TO BE FINISHED (Not difficulty related, it is soft-lock related) ; At about the 10th or 11th mission, you have to use a giant twin-cannon turret to destroy submarines located in a nearby harbor that is being assaulted. You take the high ground with your allies and commandeer one of the turrets to take out your naval adversaries. Unfortunately, you are UNABLE to aim the turret low enough to hit the two targets that are clearly outlined with red circles. Your crosshair…

Worthy buy it totally recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Possibly the worst controls I've played in a game to date, it basically makes the game unplayable. Not only that but the mouse has forced acceleration which makes it feel like your fighting the game for control (the true enemy), to add to the issues, the keybindings don't have all the choices like the button to melee in game (there is no binding or rebinding options, so you basically have to button mash till you find the right key). Another thing to nitpick is the animations in the cut scenes…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Baked in negative mouse acceleration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for a game based on a comic that has a million issues they decided to tell a nothing story that is not even 5 hours long and ends with a cliff hanger which is meaningless and basically renders the events of this game, whicgh are just absolutely nothing, nothing. theres a billion weapons and mechanics which all feel extremely clunky and barely realized, and i am determined this would be a much better game if it was all first person. but thank you tick tock games who have the worst logo i have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Apart from modern graphics this remaster is worse than the original ps2 title. It actively changes gameplay mechanics adding messy and buggy changes. The change from a manual cover toggle to an auto one leading to a coinflip on whether you'll take cover, or be lit up like a Christmas tree. A sniper scope that you can't see out off because of the texture is terrible. I could go on. The ps2 copy is on steam better in everyway, and holds up well to this day even graphics aren't half bad for a old…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The re-make of Rogue Trooper is essentially broken in numerous ways. Oh, sure, its very pretty but its a BROKEN game. For a start, for some reason that defies understanding, the option to cling to a wall or other surface as a manual operation has been replaced by an automatic feature that isn't just annoying, but downright crippling. You will find Rogue suddenly, and for no acceptable reason leaping to conceal himself. And then there is the sound issues. The music and the background sounds…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am not going to write some prolific review of this brain dead game. This game was nostalgic for me, and I enjoyed every second of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mouse controls are an unplayable mess. Y-axis is extremely sensitive, X-axis is extremely sluggish and no settings changes can fix it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although it is a remastered version, I can't believe how buggy it can be at times. There is a famous startup CTD bug, which has a solution in the forums; I do not understand why a developer do not want to fix these kind of the issues and still leave the game as is more than 5 years after its release. Regarding gameplay, you will feel the clunkiness of your character when in combat which may lead to your death. Guns other than your pistol can have very rare usage; 90% of my time, I was playing…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, ruined by devs not caring about how badly they screwed up PC inputs. Avoid and play the original.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →gotta luv anything from the pages of 2000AD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashes at start for some reason, I could not find any solutions to it. if someone can help me figure it our I'll appreciate it. Edit: The game is really fun, but I cannot recommend it since Rebellion did not provide any support. However if you are interested in the game look for a discussion thread named: Solution for "Photosensitive Warning" crash has been found! There a guy gave a great solution, which can be used on a couple of older games too.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I LOVED this game in its original release I cant say the same anymore. Controls are clunky, aiming is terrible, and its easy to get overwhelmed. But thank god for micro-mines.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A graphically enhanced and slightly updated version of a truly awesome game. I personally prefer the original version over this remake, mainly just because I like the charm and feel of the older graphics a bit more, but this is purely a personal taste thing and dosen't make this bad by any means. At the end of the day, I didn't really notice that much of a difference between this and the original, so I'll just give it a thumbs up, as the original was great, and this is just that again, so yeah,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The first mission of the game is really cool. The aiming feels really spotty - sometimes you hit full auto in the head and they go down, and other times it only tickles the enemies. Single shots seem to work fine. The controls feel a bit uneven at times. The world-building is where the game shines. It probably gets worse as the game progresses. I mean how much depth can you add to bioengineered new-humans - not much. Don't buy this for the gunplay and instead get it for the world-building.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2000AD and by an extension Rogue Trooper is what you get if Warhammer 40k didn't suck @ss.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buy it for $5 and it is a fun old school shooter that is short enough to end before it gets boring. A good way to spend an afternoon.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gunplay and gameplay is pretty fun, but sadly this is pretty buggy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Eight years ago today. Shipped my first boxed game with Rogue Trooper: Redux. Huge project for our small team, rewriting the renderer and porting the game to modern consoles. We also hit Switch on the same day (but didn't do physical) :( #GameDev #2000AD #RogueTrooper
unlabelledView post →This is a bad remake. Play the original, which I only played this year, but genuinely looks and plays better than this garbage. I'm genuinely shocked how bad this is compared to the original. The lighting is worse, everything is too bright, the colour composition was muted, and they made the concrete "shiny"! This looks especially bad in cutscenes which... OMG! The animations are WORSE than the original! Objects shake like a Gmod asset in peoples hands. The subtle facial movements like Rogues…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First and foremost, Rogue Trooper is an amazing game! I honestly can't emphasize this enough. The original PS2 release was a lot of fun to play, and Redux made it a bit more polished for modern standards. However, playing it on PC with the excessive mouse acceleration the developers added makes the overall experience quite uncomfortable. This is a significant issue since Rogue Trooper is primarily about aiming and shooting. Additionally, there's no option to turn it off, nor is there a mod to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never played the original game but I do enjoy a good linear third person shooter. At first I was having a good time. Simple story. I like how enemies drop salvage you use to build medkits, make new ammo, upgrades, etc. I really enjoyed that aspect. But after around the second hour it became apparent there's a lot of jank that starts from mildly annoying to infuriating the more I played. The cover system is terrible. You can't run, and your fastest speed is a casual stroll. You can do a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful keyboard and mouse controls with way too restrictive keybinds and a very weird sensitivity, especially when aiming with the sniper scope. Godawful sound mixing too, the effects like gunshots are way too loud while the voices are almost inaudible and you cannot fix this since they are in the same toggleable. Quite a shame, I played the original Wii version and I was willing to give the Redux version a go on a platform I though it was better for this game. Refunded it almost instantly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really don't understand why this was ever re-released. I mean its not nor has it ever been a very good game. Its mid avarage at best. I just saw that there was a movie coming up and remembered playing this millions of years ago.. And it feels wrong to diss a an old game, for being old and out dated.. But here goes. So I would advise anyone, who is thinking of buying this cause of the movie hype to reconsider, even if its on sale it is old and yanky game. Actually a high pass on the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an adequate sale game. Coming out of 2006 it's definitely not the best of its time. However, there were some fun mechanics and it played pretty well. I spent most of my game launching infinite mines out of my backpack over 300 feet away and shooting people in the face or backpack causing them to panic and explode. The levels are varied, the weapons were okay, you never feel like you needed something you didn't have, and the fabrication of ammo and medical based on collected scrap was a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like it more than I actually do sadly It's a bit janky, there are games with better graphics, voice acting, and gameplay Wait for a sale at least, having said that I do hope there are more 2000AD games in the future
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We can feel it's a remaster of an old game. aim can be tricky at time when sniping when the mouse all of sudden goes super fast. I enjoyed the game. Nice variety of missions and guns.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →EXTREMELY boring cover shooter. Everything is bad, just don't.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really not a bad game with a cool story. But sadly, I can't end it because my mission on Harper's Ferry is stuck at a bug. The part in the beginning where you need to shoot down the two submarines with the cannon. The game just doesn't register the shots fired at the left submarine; the shots are just going through, and the submarine doesn't get any damage. Pretty sad, but still a nice game :(

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a big fan of 2.000 A.D. & a fan of Rogue Trooper, I decided to give this game a shot. I can safely say that this game didn't disappoint. Now, I never played the original version, just this new Remaster. The game is made by Rebellion, so if you enjoy The Sniper Elite series, Strange Brigade, or a personal favorite Zombie army, then you'll probably enjoy Rogue Trooper. The game play is similar and keeps you on your toes. The campaign is straight forward and you could finish it in a week…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia got reworked. Gameplay is smooth. Haven't found any bugs/glitches yet. Audio is good. Graphics are awesome. On sale, the game costs $4.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, terrible controls. Having the mouse sensitivity on X and Y axis be different no matter what you're selecting is pretty bad, but I could get behind it, the odd keyboard controls can be changed at least.. the game also has the bad habit of giving me tutorials that I can only close with the same button used to vault over cover, and the key press carries over after the tutorial to just get killed.. no thank you. Just really small annoyances that are easily visible and should've been…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely awful post-cutscene checkpoint makes it impossible to progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unplayable with mouse, there is some weird acceleration that you cant turn off
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite childhood games
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a relic of its time and tossing a shiny new coat of paint does little to make this anything other than a mess.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game for maybe 10$ Not entirely worth it for me yet. The updated graphics don't really matter and sometimes looks out of place compared to the original. As for the updated controller mechanics you could probably remap your controls through steams built in tools. No idea if the co-op is functional but that would be dope.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Remove the "Co-op" tag on this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →THERE IS NO CO-OP CAMPAIGN UNLIKE THE ORIGINAL. SCAM DO NOT BUY REBELLION SHOULD STICK TO ENDLESS SNIPER ELITE SEQUELS!!!!!!!!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game with lots of shirtless muscular men. The perfect game for the anti-woke gang!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So many memories with this game the redux is awesome
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underrated Gem💎
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Although the "Redux" version, it still looks very dated. Game mechanics are also very dated making the game feel quite "janky" compared to today's standards. If you are a fan of the 2000AD character, probably worth picking this up *if* you can find it cheap (was about £2 on Steam when I bought this). The last level is pretty damn hard too, so be prepared for a difficulty spike.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun and looks visually good. Its not too difficult at all and should be easy for anyone who plays these types of games. I'm blue!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game that I played on the Ps2 and I never finished it, but now that I have the chance to play it, it is a game that I really found very fun and although it is not the best game, it is quite fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I started playing this as a casual game as a rest break from COD but this became repetitive too quickly if you can even get it for 100% off I would decide against it the game is just plain boring with the same thing over and over again I couldn't even rate it as a meh game it's that bad
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great 2000AD nostalgia for me. Tharg the Mighty would be proud!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I completed Rogue Trooper Redux on Switch and it was ok. The story is inspired by the comics, but it doesn’t translate well into game. Controls feel stiff too even after remastering. #gamereview My Rating: • Graphics: 1.5 • Gameplay: 1 • Audio: 1 • Replay Value: 1 • Overall: 0.5 • Total: 5/10
unlabelledView post →Fun 3rd person shooter that has a decidedly old school vibe which make sense that it is based on a PS2 game originally. While this may be seen as a flaw to some I think it is the greatest strength, we don't get this kind of game design much anymore and it's fun to play a more traditional 3rd person shooter without tons of RPG elements or crafting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the campaign and its an okay game, a little gluncky at times, But play able and fun. Its worth a play through if you get on sale. Im not interested in the online play so campaign play through is very short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an amazing game with a good story and time tested gameplay. It's a solid choice for any gamer! ^_^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I enjoyed this, not too long, not too difficult. Story is enjoyable and regular. It's fun and a bargain for any 2000AD fan. It's older, and not unique. There are better shooters and better games. But this is a fun game to play. Online, as you'd expect pretty much dead, but occasionally I've come across a player or two... but mostly not.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Underneath its flaws, Rogue Trooper Redux is good, old-fashioned fun. Its linear levels are solidly designed and offer a variety of ways to approach the objective at hand. Different play styles are also encouraged with stealth, distractions or running in and mortaring everything in sight all being viable tactics. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rogue Trooper is a game I have fond memories of on the Playstation 2 and later on the PC. What that original version didn't have is absolutely horrendous mouse acceleration AND deceleration that can't be turned off. The prospect of playing through a childhood game I enjoyed with prettier graphics sounded like a good one, but I was very rudely interrupted by this games mouse controls. I read the reviews about the mouse issues, and I thought to myself, meh it can't be that bad, and I'm sure…
