Rogue was one of my favourite comics as a kid, so getting to work on the film was a dream job. Painted to mark the film’s premiere at Annecy this week.

Rogue Trooper is a TPS developed by Rebellion and released in 2006. The game is part of the 2000AD universe. Welcome to Nu Earth, a planet perpetually at war between the Norths and the Southers. The player plays the Rogue Trooper, a blue-skinned G.I. (for Genetic Infantry) soldier. The last survivor of his unit, Rogue will have to avenge his brothers in arms by fighting the Norts…

unlabelledView post →Yes. Rebellion, on top of being a game developer, owns and publishes 2000 AD, the comic Rogue Trooper is from (as well as Judge Dredd and many others). So now they are a game studio, a comic publisher, and a film production company. They actually made a Rogue Trooper video game back on the PS2!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. most hyper-masculine protagonist i've ever played as lmao as a game- this port works great, the art style holds up, and the shooting & reloading mechanics are comparable to helldivers 2. didn't expect the cover and blind fire mechanics at all; i'm sure i'll be introduced to even more mechanics as i progress further. genetically engineered soldiers sent to war. taking neuron chips of fallen soldiers to preserve and use their consciousness in weapons and gear is such a cool…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game 'Warhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader', would get the pre-fix added, in part as a link to Warhammer & also to distance from ‘Rogue Trooper’ - 2000AD character that GW had licenced & was producing board game titles with its name. For example.... WD 87’s Awesome Lies column from March 1986

This video game is actually based on a comic book series (maybe still running, not certain). This game features a resource collection method, which you will need to use so that you can purchase upgrades and get bullets, you do not pick up bullets…

unlabelledView post →A goated comic book adaptation. The HD Remake does nothing to improve it, other than make it shiny-er. Get this intead, it's the original and a classic!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a blast playing this Smurfs adaptation. Was one of my childhood games which I never finished before. Now that is also complete.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is what happens when you push the Blue Man Group too far. Rogue Trooper is a third person shooter developed by Rebellion and published by Eidos. You play as Rogue, a Genetic Infantryman or G.I. Clone created by the Souther army to do battle with the evil Norts for control of Nu Earth. G.I. Are cool because they're blue and all look the same. Oh also they can breath the air on Nu Earth. The G.I. Army is dropped in the Quarts Zone in their first mission to take territory from the Norts,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: A decent little game and a real classic, worth a buy - especially if on sale. FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN THE GAME BECAUSE THE REMASTER IS COMING OUT SOON: If you have never played the game before, I would suggest waiting and saving your money for the remaster as the story/gameplay will be virtually identical. Rebellion has said that they will improve upon a few of the game's mechanics and update the graphics for the remaster. I am giving this game a thumps up and recommending that those…

Very good feeling playing this, the controls are smooth, the animations serve their purpose and look cool. This game feels like it was ahead of it's time gameplay-wise. I didn't feel like I was playing an "old game" at all, the shooting is smooth, headshots and precision shots feel good, the weapons and emplacements feel good to use. I actually think this game didn't needed the Redux version,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rogue Trooper, developed and published by Rebellion, is a third-person tactical shooter set in the gritty, war-torn universe of the classic British 2000 AD comic series of the same name. Originally released in 2006 and later remastered as Rogue Trooper Redux, the game brings to life the violent struggle on Nu-Earth—a chemically ravaged planet where genetically-engineered soldiers fight a never-ending war. The title follows the lone surviving Genetic Infantryman (GI), Rogue, who sets out on a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic game wish I knew about it when I was a kid.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminder that Rebellion owns the rights to 2000AD comics so we could've had a new Judge Dredd, Rogue Trooper or even a Nemesis The Warlock game by now. But no lets keep making freakin Sniper Elite! I love Sniper Elite but come on! You've got the tools!
unlabelledView post →Really enjoyed my time playing Rogue Trooper, I was a big fan of 2000AD comics and loved reading Rogue's stories and this game put me right at the heart of the story. Great gameplay and a decent story. For the stuttering issues people have been experiencing, I found putting the game on an NVMe drive stopped the stuttering for me, not sure why. Didn't need to run it in any modes to help... Food for thought if you have an NVMe in your system. If you're a fan of Rogue Trooper or just like a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing this game for the first time in 2017, and it controls as well as any game from the third person genre in modern day. The graphics are as good as they possibly can be, with the game supporting up to and including 1080p 144fps (I don't know about higher than that), the only drawback being the cutscenes which look blurry, but that's to be expected. The animations are small, but add to the feel of everything you do, making all the actions you perform satisfying in their own way. You can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool shooter. I didn't know anything about this game going in and I think it's the perfect blend of cheesy and cool.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great classic! Make sure to check the forums on how to use 1920x1080 resolution. Once you've accomplished that, the game looks great and plays as well as it did in the old days.

unlabelledView post →I am so looking forward to Rogue Trooper. Yet this stuff about Mute makes me wonder, is there enough to maybe kick off development of a videogame set in the Mooniverse's Berlin (or just that world in general)? Because not only would that be awesome, I would love to play such a game.

I really liked the story, characters and world of the game, really dug the vibe, the graphics and look of the game can be quite good too, with a pretty decent atmosphere in some parts. The combat is pretty solid and enjoyable, and the stealth mechanics are really fun too, with some awesome takedown animations.…

Syndicate on the Amiga is another I love going back to a lot and if I'm ever on my ZX Spectrum I always play Rogue Trooper.

Pros: -The weapons and the crafting system -The dead compatriots' personality chips still being with you and keeping them alive, while cheering you on as you go and helping you around -The gunplay is enjoyable as well. -The sound design (lots of sounds are from one of Rebellion's first born: Sniper Elite, and many can be recognized)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Based on the award-winning 2000A.D. comic strip which ran for approximately five years, ROGUE TROOPER tells the story of a future soldier whose entire regiment is decimated when one of his side's generals sells out to the enemy and gives away vital military intelligence. Although not entirely true to the comic book, this version is close enough to provide long time Rogue Trooper fans with a chance to become the last G.I. - the last Genetic Infantryman. Bred to survive on Nu Earth, a hellish…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games from the past. 10/10 graphics(for 2000 these graphics are damn too amazing), my favorite storyline, awesome gameplay, beautiful skies. This game is totally worth buying, eventually if its up on sale for $1.74.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I used to go to GW in the Arndale Centre in the early 80s, when Warhammer was a B&W set of fantasy battle rules and you could buy pretty much any RPG/non-family boardgame going. I still have the Rogue Trooper game- somebody nicked the blue RT counter...

The team were all great, the source material fab and it all just clicked.

unlabelledView post →I expected Rogue Trooper to be a bit of a brainless romp, but no, that's one of the better, tighter single player shooter campaigns I've had the privilege to enjoy. So many tools and mechanics and approaches to well-considered, varied setpieces. This one has Got It to a degree I wouldn't have suspected.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In April 1987, 5 months before 40K Rogue Trader would be published, WD issue 89 had covered the new Rogue Trooper board game in Open Box with WD 90 featuring new cards for the game. As such the decision was that it needed something added to the 'Rouge Trader' name for the final title.

unlabelledView post →A classic third person shooter that utilized cover mechanics before gears of war. There is a widescreen patch available and a fixed .exe for your chosen resolution, search the forum here. I use ReShade for modern post processing effects. Controls are customizable for gamepads and there are community configs for gamepads as well. Looks very nice for it's age and plays well. 7 out of 10. Multiplayer isn't available unless by using a 3rd party app like Tunngle, but can be played by yourself as…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I completed Rogue Trooper Redux on Switch and it was ok. The story is inspired by the comics, but it doesn’t translate well into game. Controls feel stiff too even after remastering. #gamereview My Rating: • Graphics: 1.5 • Gameplay: 1 • Audio: 1 • Replay Value: 1 • Overall: 0.5 • Total: 5/10
unlabelledView post →Comic book based third person shooter with fun combat and light tactical elements. Game has a decent arsenal and some funny moments, but I can't recommend it to everybody because of the short length of a campaign and bland environments. Pros: - Enemy variety; - Upgrade system; - Tactical choice; - Humores dialogs; Cons: - Short campaign (5-6h); - Dead MP;
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Verry fun. Controlls are a bit clunky but once you play for a bit it gets easy to remember what everything does. Bought this on the sale and for $3 its good fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If only there were Single Player games, nowadays, as good-looking and phenomenal as this game. From the outstanding visuals (pretty good for a game released in 2006) to the satisfaction of shooting your rifle, along with a firm story that will make you think, this game is the epitome (unfortunately underrated) of what a "good-looking game with a unique style of gameplay" should be
