60 of 113 · most liked firstThis is the updated version of 'Rad Rogers: World One' which in itself was an improved version of a game that probably doesn't exist on steam to buy anymore. Thankfully a purchase of either version at the time of review will give you both titles. So If you bought the old and this is in your library this is probably the recommended version to play. now, That out of the way, YES, joy, smiles. This is a platformer with good design and... well- just play it. You will find a well produced title…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I appreciate the concept of an old-school 2D Shooter-Platformer. But boy does it sour fast when the collisions and animations bug out, the game likes to teleport you into spikes while returning you from a minigame so you can't even move yet, and decides instant death lasers are fun for timing with platforming when you have limited lives (before having to redo the level and recollect everything). I had been going for gems & secrets as I explored the levels early on but decided to ignore…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm 5 hours into this game and I want to warn potential buyers/players. This game is not good. It looks good. It sounds good....But it is not a good game. A good game has good level design. Good level design can be defined in many ways but I think playing through a world shouldn't be a chore. Also, your levels shouldn't take 15-20 minutes to beat with cheap bosses and these awful bonus (?) glitch levels. The glitch thing has to be the dumbest way to pad out this generic platformer. Again,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic action platformer in HD bringing back that oldschool gaming feeling, the game also offers easter eggs like 'baby duke nukem' who you can play with as a character in the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ujIhJLyGO0c
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the full review, click [url=https://wp.me/p8lFHx-72l]HERE Story Rad is a young boy, from what looks like the year 1991, who goes to sleep and and is magically sucked into his TV to play video games levels with his trusty talking console, Dusty. This arm swinging console is strapped to his back a la Doc Octopus as the two of them are off to save a video game world. There is an intro scene at the beginning and a quick mention of an Elder Tree not returning Dusty’s calls in the First World.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has a few fun ideas, but it's full of bugged achievements, was left UNFINISHED and hasn't been touched by the devs in years. Lots of cringey one-liners that get repeated over and over and over. Skip it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lots of personality, unfortunately that personality is cringy as hell. Lots of gameplay, unfortunately the gameplay is generic as hell. Pass.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game comes with 2 versions, World One and Radical Edition. Radical Edition is a sort of definitive edition with extras such as new playable characters and mini games. I played up to the 9th level. I didn't finish it and also had one more mini game left along with the last boss. Why you ask? The Radical Edition is super buggy. It's insane. It's a plaftormer with heavy emphasis on collecting things, yet it's impossible to collect everything in certain levels due to bugs. My motivation for…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No, absolutely positively NO! This game needs so much more work, before it resembles something worth 20 euro... It's a mess. Gave up when on level 9 got stuck on a platform, after managing to get 3 of the 4 door keys. And yes literary stuck in the platform, could not move could not even die, because yes that was one place that the game did not spawn one hit kill traps... And btw the developers knew that the last levels are just death traps because they throw 1ups like candy on halloween - so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy and broken. There is no way to collect all collectibles and kills all enemies on collectathon, what is point of playing that kind of game if it's broken??
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/31067175/] If you enjoy this review please consider following my Curator page here . Rad Rodgers is a delightful action platformer drenched in 90’s nostalgia. You play as the titular Rad as well as his robot companion Dusty. There’s a nice assortment of gun power-ups and melee to keep combat fresh and exciting. Gameplay consists of platforming your way through levels to collect four key pieces to exit the stage. Each level is packed with a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Broken achievements, bug in game that makes it impossible to get 100% Guess they forgot to beta test. Developers seem to care nothing, same as for the original world one release which has added achievements which are for non existing content which was added in this version. Such a shame since for the rest it is a good looking and enjoyable game to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A platform game heavily inspired by classics, but nowhere near as functional or cohesive, with less tight level design and more visual clutter. Optional, badly written, crass dialogue options for fans of Conker. Pretty to look at, mediocre to play. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=2WDWXWc08bk Full review: http://www.noobfeed.com/reviews/1413/rad-rodgers-pc-review
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually really like this game. The graphics are nice. The gameplay handles well (for the most part). And the music reminds me of Escape from New York. But there are too many glitches to recommend. Most of the mini-games feel terrible to control and there are levels with glitched collectibles. When one of the main focuses of your game is collectibles you need to make sure to nail that. Nothing is more frustrating than being told to collect items that don't actually work. Rad Rodgers…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Visuals are flat, gameplay is flat, stage design is flat, music is flat, lines are flat. Thoroughly decisive 5/10. If I can't get a refund for buying this at full price, I'm going to 100% it to punish myself. Comes with Rad Rodgers: World One which is, from what I can gather, an earlier version of the game that they kept around because the upgraded version ended up having improved visuals (though still flat) which boosted the system requirements, and they didn't want people who were able to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Iz gud game, But where iz Lorelei?! NEEDS LORLEIE DLC :Lorelei:
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not really a fan, starts off fine but gets repetitive really fast. Visuals are cool, but low weapons variety and some wonky controls kinda ruins it. Got up to level 9, but I got stuck on geometry 4 ******** TIMES, and this game does not have a "Return to checkpoint" option, so I had to restart the level. After the 4th time when I was literally at the end of the level the character just clipped through the floor and got stuck. **** this game, STAY, AWAY. Edit: I decided to go back and finish…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I gave this game a try, but I didn't enjoy it. I think the game itself is too generic. I really wish I could elaborate, but the game to me is nothing special.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good and fun game!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →STORY: 8/10 Rad Rodgers is at heart an early 90's platformer made with today's technology, taking influence from a slew of games, including Apogee classics such as Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure and Commander Keen, and the Amiga classic Ruff'n'Tumble. It centers around the titular character, a young boy named Rad Rodgers (voiced by Hunter Pratt) who one evening after a lengthy session is sent to bed by his mother and immideately afterwards is sucked into his TV and finds not only is his game console…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome throw back to the 90s with tons of content and replayability.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am so disappointed in this game. I read the premise, saw the gameplay videos, and really wanted to play it. But the controls are sluggish (a cardinal sin for a platformer) and the level design has unacceptable difficulty spikes. Seriously, in level 2, I would literally be banging my character's head the bottom of a platform for minutes at a time, waiting until he finally found that TINY sweet spot where he could jump through. Cheap deaths, cheap delays padding the game... there is just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Verdict: Stay away, the game got abandoned by the developer and you are unable to get 100% at this point. 3 hours of gameplay for 20 bucks is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ridiculous. + Old school platforming resembling Commander Ken Steam trading cards (5 drop, 10 to craft a badge) Cute graphics and quite well done models for the player Multiplayer (local) some of the jokes really made me giggle Special abilities of different characters feel unique Besides normal levels there are also pong and poggo levels…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →20 bucks...for this. Nah, guys. Save yourselves some money and skip this one. There are better platformers out there. This has absolutely nothing. It's only 1 world as well. 10 levels or so, that's it. And I couldn't even bring myself to continue playing after level 5. There is no variation here. You're basically playing the same level over and over again with a different layout, but it just "feels" the same. Why? Because your character doesn't grow. You don't learn any new moves, you have NO…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you grew up with Commander Keen and hate Bethesda's newest E3 announcement, this game is for you. Original review text is as followed below, and forgot to disclose that I got this game from an EVGA promo from 2016. Everything that i already like about the first game can be summarized with my previous Rad Rodgers review, and as far as I'm concerned, Rad Rodgers is like the unofficial sequel to id Software's Commander Keen series. http://steamcommunity.com/id/flashn00b/recommended/353580/…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome old school 90th platformer-shooter by 3D realms and Interceptor... with a catch. Basically is a new Duke Nukem reboot under disguise, just cartoonish and childish, but you can smell Duke a mile away. Gameplay reminds Duke 1-2 and Manhatan Project, adult sense of humor with urge to kick some♥♥♥♥♥is present as well (but there is a kid mode that turns all of that off and makes game child friendly), even Rad Rodgers look like Duke when he was kid - blond hairs, red t-shirt, blue jeans. 3DR…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't get the negative reviews, this game is a pretty fun side scroller, reminds me of the good ole times. Plays flawlessly on the steam deck as well. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had such high hopes for this game, that I again forgot the thing that should be second nature to me: check out gameplay on youtube. The game very proudly boasts about the glorious 90s and claims that it's been inspired by many of the classics, but I can't really see what they got from all those good examples, besides being a sidescrolling game. The game is incredibly formulaic, despite the praise of the decade that was filled with new and original ideas. It's just ticking boxes of what an…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute garbage platformer. You use the same gun entire game with 3 powerup weapons. You might the same enemies each level and all levels look the same. Theres no story, and theres stupids minigames added for no reason. Then the game adds stupid 1 hit kill turrets which negate the idea of the health bar and u need to beat 20 in a row. Even worse are the bugs. 2 times on the last level i got stuck in the ground after jumping, and since for no reason there isnt a checkpoint restart u can only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game and really fun platformer. Any negative reviews for this are wildly misplaced, probably by a bunch of Fortnite CSGO trollbabies. It looks fantastic, has great graphics and artwork. The platforming and shooting are both fun, the controls are tight, and it's one of the most fun platformers I've played in a long time. Any negative reviews are most likely from crybabies who probably play pure garbage like Ark or Fortnite, or those boring sleepfest Total War games. This is short though…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am really torn by this game. First off if you loved ruff n tumble on the Amiga then this is a no brainer. I've really enjoyed the game it's just a shame that it's quite buggy. I've completed the game but in trying to get all the achievements I've faced a few issues. The Devs at one point we're really good at responding but like alot of things it seems to have fallen away. There is a pogo level that still crashes when you reach the top so I can't get that achievement. Also there is one level…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's another one of those "remember the 90's" games, it's kind of a day late to that party but thankfully it's not a dollar short. Striped of the nostalgia, it stands on it's own as great side scrolling jump-n-shoot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont get what all the rave reviews are about. Very generic, its an Amiga style platformer without all the charm...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like the game's true potential won't be realised until more worlds are released, but the first world was a nice little trip down Nostalgia Avenue. New minigames and cosmetics are fun. For more niche curation, follow me at: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/27440015-CSH-Picone/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game concept and graphics are nice, but game has a lot of bugs that really make a poor experience: freezes, crashes to desktop, design level bugs... It's incredible they sell a game that is not really finished. I don't really recommend to play this game. I would review this if a patch correct this mess in the future
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So it seems that we have two version of Rad Rodgers, the first be this one which has a leader board, hats and a few minor goodies. The other version "Rad Rodgers: World One" is simply the game(older version). But if you progress levels in this version it will progress you in the other as well, so you should always keep that in mind. While I think this was a bit of a waste space and time, I feel the developers could of made one single version it all tied together. But as you can tell I am no…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember really wanting to like this but forgot why I stopped playing- but now I remembered- the bugs. Way too many bugs. Completely ruins the game for me. It sucks because there IS. a good game in there but publisher doesn't seem to care. If the devs ever got a chance to polish this game I'm sure it would be fantastic.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ah, greetings fellow adventurers in the realm of pixels and polygons! Gather 'round, for I have embarked upon a grand quest, a digital odyssey if you will. However, let me regale you with a tale of caution, a whisper in the ears of potential buyers and brave players alike. This game, my comrades, is not a masterpiece, despite its dazzling facade. A feast for the eyes, a symphony for the ears, yet beneath the shimmering surface lies a disappointment of epic proportions. A true game, in my…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game had potential at the beginning but a lots of blocker kinda bugs ruined the fun. Note: I bought to the game to play Duke Nukem character at the time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →WHY DOES IT LAG? Side scrollers should not lag. His sidekick doesn't shut up either - they are both constantly quipping the same lines. I want to enjoy this, but just playing for a couple of minutes is enough.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good game. Nice graphs, good pace, lot of secrets, bonus and achievements. Purely platform where every level is separated by one bonus level of another type. These intermediary levels are shorts and you can skip them if not interested. You have lives and checkpoints to finish a map. If you lose all in a map, then you can start it again at the same point than the first time. Many complain that the game is too short. This is an achievements game. Today, more than 60% of the achievements are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game and wish to see more additions to the Rad Rodger series (World 2, World 3, and so on…). It is a huge upgrade to the 1990’s Commander Keen type of game. There are also elements of the classic Duke Nukem game infused into Rad Rodgers. 4K graphics support (perfect for a powerful 4K gaming laptop). I wish to see use of the pogo stick anytime in any level as any wishes to use it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing game tbh! Felt like a GREAT 90's Platformer. Cool sounds and Amazing level designs! Hope they add 2 player mode to this! must buy!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! Not for kids :P Plays like Commander Keen meets Konkers Bad Furday!!!! My only beef is that THQ Nordic took out all evidence of intercepters word with the exception of the end credits.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is absolutely amazing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developed by Slipgate Ironworks and published by HandyGames in collaboration with 3D Realms, Rad Rodgers: Radical Edition is a fast-paced action platformer that celebrates the golden age of 1990s gaming while refining its mechanics for a modern audience. Rather than simply imitating the classics that inspired it, the game blends old-school level design with polished visuals, smoother controls, and new gameplay features that make this edition the definitive version of Rad's adventure. From its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rad Rodgers - Radical Edition pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on //good amount of action and special effects cons: //some difficult battles //a lot of difficult platforming //a little repetitive //lack of directions/instructions //items of significant interest at hard to reach places //sometimes too many traps/hazards //losing sometimes restarts you at far away checkpoints //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too hardcore to enjoy.. It is just too hard to get lives back, almoast everything instant kill you and there is no reason to collect gems because you can't spend them on anything.. If you are out of lives, you have to start all over with the same amount of lives.. If you had 1 life, then you need to make it with it.. Fortunately it was 0.99 Euro.. I understand it now why.. Can't recommend it. Purchased because it was inspired by Ruff N Tumble from Amiga.. but it feels just too hard to enjoy..…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why yes, Rad Rodgers, I do remember oldschool video games. In fact, I have access to many of them on this very PC. Please give me one good reason why I should play you instead of them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros nice grafics and engine cons scenarios have bad disposition with hidden characters so it's much more a memo game than a run and gun. recomended pad (locker aim)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an old school platformer. It's forgettable and rather boring. The game supports ultrawide resolutions (21/9). It contains bugs and sometimes you get ‘stuck in platforms’. Only get this in a very deep sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't play multiplayer unless it steam remote play together and remote play together is trash.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I paid $1.99 for this garbage and I feel cheated; unplayable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's ok, but where's the rest of the game?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an average (leaning towards "meh") for me. The gameplay is just too simple with not a lot of variety or challenge - there are no new abilities as you progress and you can easily kill an avoid enemies. Sure you get powerups to your gun that are temporary, but other than that? Nothing new. I get that they're pushing a 90s feel but they could add on a few modern changes which would help things out drastically. On top of that there are a number of annoying bugs/glitches which make it a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →sometimes when i restart the game I lose the sound but the game it's still quite playable other then that the game it's enjoyable not too difficult if you like old style platformers like me you'll love this game!
