positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you think this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game? This is real Japanese high school life simulation software. As I write this review, manly tears stream down my cheeks. Sugata... Nanase... Kunio... My friends, I will never forget this sports festival. Let's do the pros and cons thing real quick. PROS - Kunio-kun on Steam - Badass story - Badass characters - Beautiful 3D backgrounds - Beautiful 2D sprites - Character and team creation CONS - Sloppy English translation - Some bad formatting - Some fights…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This series always has been my favorite since famicom and super famicom. Tremendous fun to play with friends, though it always ended up pure fight between friends lol. The graphic is old-schooled and if you are a video game generation who enjoyed all the goods from 90's would love this game. I think those who have no memory of old days still can have much fun to play because there are lots of characters, special moves, and it's really fun to play with. Definitely recommend this game anyone who…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who grew up playing the old Technos games, I was really disappointed with this game. I really don't know how they took such a simple formula and screwed it up this badly. Pros: * Nostalgia Cons: * "Full Controller Support" does not actually mean your controller will be supported. Expect to use your keyboard. * An action game with undocumented controls you have to guess. It took me a couple minutes to get past the intro screen because it didn't occur to me "Press Start" meant the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1) Must buy this game 2) Recommended buy 3) Recommended steam sale purchase 4) Dont bother When i saw this game come up I was excited to fall in love again with all the classic characters from NES, and boy! do they deliver, not only are the visual animations true to the old days, gameplay is also the same. The game has simple buttons to navigate with only 3 commands punch, kick, jump with manouvers run and dash and these same commands are used to pick up weapons/items. Each character can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, press M if you want to start the game on the title screen. It's also the same button for pausing the game. Also if you ever played Nintendo World Cup during your childhood, you oughta look into this game. Warning! If you don't want any spoilers, avoid reading this review until you have seen/played the game yourself! So River City Super Sports Challenge All Stars Special AKA River City Ransom x Sports is a beat em up game with sports modes in them. As a River City Ransom fan,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game (originally released for the PlayStation 3) is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Kōshinkyoku: Soreyuke Daiundōkai, a hilarious and extremely popular Famicom game that is part of the Kunio-kun series. The game was also ported to the Game Boy and had a 3D re-imagining on the Nintendo DS. Though this remake doesn't include some of the additions from those ports, the game makes up for it with a whole lot of substance: more teams, more characters, more techniques, character creation, team…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great classic game for all ages. Interesting, challenging and funny. Must have I think.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You cannot change your controls, other than to cycle between their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ premade controls. There isn't even an ini file or some other way to change your controls outside of the game. What are we, in 1990? My advice is to just get the original rom and use a NES emulator, this game is garbage until fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of my favorite games when I was a kid, the game is still very fun, but the friends who played with me are no longer there.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Kunio-kun game. BARF!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the online mode very lag. only single mode can play. but still a fun game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bad Controller support. Bad Controller setting. O , U , J Nooooo!!!!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Where is the Nekketsu Soccer Man?? Please add Nekketsu Soccer!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game because of good memories with Kunio but the outcome is not as expected. And like many others asked, we Kunio fan strongly want Goal 3!!! back, definitely gonna buy it, so please make it happen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I LOVE River City Ransom. I would like to love this game too but the controls (and lack of) are trash. There is no pause button, and you are limited to the J,U, and O keys on the keyboard. Even with Full controller support, I had to use Joy2Key just so I could use a controller and still with the lack of the pause button and not having more specific keystroke functions, this game just seems unplayable to me. Other than that, I would say this is a great game but I cannot recommend it due to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No for Nekketsu. Yes for smart bugs, lags and empty multiplayer. Do n't waste your money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun. but why this game doesn't allow me to change keys... all i can change is between U, J, O... which is sux
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lower Expectation for this game from the original version in FC console.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was quite excited when I first saw this game. I really liked the premise and the mini-games using the old Nintendo sprites looked pretty promising. Upon playing the game more, I was left with wanting a little more mini-games. I was a little shocked to see there were only 4 mini-game types available in the game. Not to take too much away from the mini-games as they are fun, but they can get old pretty quick (especially if you're playing local offline). River City Super Sports Challenge ~All…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are a fan of the NES, it only takes the words: River and City put together to pique your interest. River City Ransom was one of my FAVORITE NES games of all time. It was a campy beat ‘em up with RPG elements. The title of this game had me excited, so I picked it up on Steam’s Fall sale for $4.99. RCSSC offers 3 modes: Single Play, Free Battle, and Online Battle. Today we’re going to talk about the single play mode, because the free battle is essentially just practice of the single play,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am torn between recommending and not recommending this game. It's a very fun game to play and pass the time. Also the story is funny if you are familiar with the japanese school delinquits. Where it falls short is the unfamiliarity of controlls and how the game works. There are 5 pages of move sets you can do and you can only select 2 of them to use while in competition, however how to execute these moves is only posible to see in the main menu. So you basically have to exit and restart the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, it feels like the old NES version with added features.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Upon removal of my nostalgia glasses I quickly realized that this game blows.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very much disapointed
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far i have not made it that far do to some difficulty curve in the game. There is no way of atleast grinding youre character or none that i know of sadly. I will change my review with more time in game or atleast new updates.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very bad game. Unbalanced and with random "win conditions". Apparently just four game modes. Played with friends, they hated it. You choose a school to compete in one of four test, you can fight or just aim for main objective. At the end of all test, you get points for random reasons (or are very poorly explained). The mix of gameplays doesn't suit well.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cute game fun online but overall the game gets old fast. this is pretty much a remake of the river city olympic game made for the nes (forget the real name). with a story slapped in to make what you do relevant but there is really not much here. most of the game has you running right to left (TIP: double tap right or left to run, carry an item to swim faster) as you try to hit and/or avoid getting hit. this isn't as much fun as it sounds. there is also a punch the ball mode where you try to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little history on this game for those that didn't know or were too lazy to look up what this game is and was. So first off: this game is a remake. This game is a revisioned version of what was orginally called in Japan: "Downtown - Nekketsu Koushin Kyoku Soreyuke Daiundokai" that's originally from the NES. Like, this is a DIRECT remake. Almost everything is the same except it's more expanded in terms of story, gameplay, and presentation. So this english name we got for the game is actually a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's not much to this game. There are only 4 sports events, which can be broken down further to 2 types of races and 2 types of battles. The name entry screen, a relic of the old Japanese version, allows for a dissapointing maximum of 6 characters for stage and character names. The english translation of this game makes Chroma Squad look like Shakespeare. The AI is dumb as a rock, and online play is virtually non-existent. So why am I recommending this game? Well, for all it's flaws, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome! just awesome! brings back the memories of 1980's and 90's NES games, especially the kunio series. I didn't enjoy the SNES kunio games but enjoyed all of the NES kunio games. So the art style is just awesome too! IT DOESN'T END THERE THOUGH! Improved upon the original style! the enemy AI might get a little annoying at times, but eh, it was like that in the old NES games too so whatever. It could be improved because it is 2017, but even if it doesn't, I'll still enjoy the game like I am…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't Set joystick.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Reminds me of old school days when I would play too much and my parents would break the damn console lol :D anyways, it feels clunky at first trying to get used to the controls but it's only seven keys you gotta remember so it's not that hard right? It would be better if there was controller support since playing on the keyboard has its limits of "fun"
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nostalgia want more game from the series especially Kunio Edo Lol fun play with your crew especially when you out play them XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Decent and cheap on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →call your childhood friends .... and have fun like past time before
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rivercity Randsom for NES was my all time fav game back in the day. This game is terrible, the gameplay is completely different. It's sad because this had so much potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →pros -Old school fun game cons -Suppory only XBOX360 joy -My friend can't connect to my rooom
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I cant recommend this game yet. Hopefully they put sweat and tears into this game, because I would love this game if there wasn't a couple of issues I have. First, I can only get a xbox 360 controller to support this game, but I haven't put much research into it, so there could be a fix. Second, were is the online play? I make a room and wait 20 min with no one showing up. I join a room and get the same effect. Third, there is no way to quit a match. I have to hit windows key, and close process…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice remastered game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice Remastered game classic Kunio kun i best games from NES. We waiting for Goal 3 Remaster... for this game 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not recommented
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bu oyunun grafikleri eski nekketsu oyunlarına göre gerçekçi hale geldi ve efsane bir yapım olmuş oyunun yapanın emeğine sağlık :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In spite of poor input support, repetitive and unclear unlock mechanics, and netcode which may not actually exist at all, it's a ton of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good graphic remind me of 8 bit Kunio series. However.., This game doesn't support generic controller. It's work well with only Xbox controller. It is difficult to use Keyboard to control though a few keys to use. No way we can play multiplayer mode with only keyboard. Do not download this game if you don't have Xbox controller.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game doesn't work for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Utter Trash, Looks more like a Ransom that washed up from the river. About as fun as actually drowning.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It'd be nice if it supported 1600x900 but this is a port of a DS game so this could all be much worse. It's fun and you'll like it if you liked the original
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fiz comprinhas da steam pra esse mês/semana e com vinte reaizinhos comprei - Fighting EX Layer - Styx: Shards of Darkness - River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~ - Blazblue: Continum Shift Extend
unlabelledView post →This one is definitely not the best. Avoid, especially at this inflated price.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm fairly dissapointed with this game. There's all of 4 "sports game" modes. It gets old really quick. This game is basically a shot at a cash grab for those nostalgic for RSR classic and the new remake. Go buy the new remake, it's fabulous, this one however is a pile of junk. Buy it on sale if you must have it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game with friends
