Reign of Fire
In post-apocalyptic England, an American volunteer and a British survivor team up to fight off a brood of fire-breathing dragons seeking to return to global dominance after centuries of rest underground. The Brit—leading a clan of survivors to hunt down the King of the Dragons—has much at stake: his mother was killed by a dragon, but his love is still alive. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Underrated movies. Me next! Reign Of Fire (2002) An all-star cast, equal amounts of suspense, atmosphere & action mixed with exceptional creature design. Without this movie it’s fair to say that ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘HOD’ would of been impossible to make as we know them today. #dragons #movies
unlabelledView post →There's a movie called "Reign of Fire". Dragons, Bale, McConaughey, it's awesome. End credits features a song called "Burn" by Mad at Gravity. They disbanded. I think one of my favorite "small internet" moments was when I found the lead singer streaming WoW on twitch to me and like 6 other people.
unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire It's dumb as rocks, has absurd performances, dated CGI and some weird OOH RAH BRITIAN YEAAAH vibes but god I love that dragon movie so much
unlabelledView post →After actually watching Reign of Fire some thoughts about Matthew McConaughey’s character; -I am convinced this character inspired Kratos in some capacity -I am surprised to learn this film was made my Americans, because it has a very funny almost Garth Ennis-y way of characterizing “Americans”
unlabelledView post →Cox n Crendor movie night tonight at 7pm PST! Probably watching Reign of Fire unless something else catches out eye @jessecox.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →It's been 24 years, and I'm still just over here waiting for a film that delivers on the Reign Of Fire poster.
unlabelledView post →Have a little quick thing of my 3D Model of Faust in his dragon form! The sound isn't perfect because I couldn't find clean samples, but they are from the movie "Reign of Fire", as this is what I imagine Faust's flight to sound like ✨ Hope it all works on here! Have a nice day/night 💜
unlabelledView post →My favorite background detail from any movie is in Reign of Fire, when in the ruins of dragon-blighted London, they've got to entertain the kids - so they're acting out star wars. Stories have always mattered.
unlabelledView post →I didn't even realize, but i'm watching Reign of Fire on dragon day. These guys are by far some of the best dragons ever made for film.
unlabelledView post →Picking a random film from my collection to show off for no real reason! Day #303 "Reign of Fire" (Rob Bowman/2002) Contains dragons, dudes flying through the air with axes and all types of shit they sing about in heavy metal songs. Movie, yeah, it's fucking awesome! Check it out.
unlabelledView post →If you enjoyed the movie Reign of Fire and want it presented like the World War Z book, Dragon Day is a pretty decent combination of the two. I'm only halfway through but it's a good listen so far.
unlabelledView post →Birthday girl picks the film (Reign of Fire: an intensely homoerotic examination of machismo and strategic shirt removal within the dragonslayer community)
unlabelledView post →I could not have been more sure that Chris O’Donnell was in the movie Reign of Fire and now finding out it’s a Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey movie is making me feel like I slipped here from a Mandela dimension
unlabelledView post →Which brings to mind one of my favorite post-apocalypse movie bits ever, in Reign of Fire: adults who remember the Star Wars movies acting it out for the kids from after the dragons woke up. Not the best movie ever, but that scene rang so perfectly true.
unlabelledView post →A delivery today of another awesome film for the collection! - Reign of Fire
unlabelledView post →I have a lot on my plate at the moment so decided to take this evening for myself and a few easy feel-good movies. Flow, Reign of Fire, and now the movie that would cheer up the dead, Hundreds Of Beavers. It’s so stoopid, so clever, so fun

unlabelledView post →Movie you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Stars (either War or Trek), LOTR, or Marvel. I’m easily close to 20 rewatches of Reign of Fire in the last two years. It’s become an almost monthly tradition
unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire has always been a criminally underrated film. It ran so Game of Thrones could walk.
unlabelledView post →my personal 9/11 is Reign of Fire because I have never forgotten what a god awful piece of shit that movie was
unlabelledView post →Watching Reign of Fire for the first time in decades. This movie is dying to be adapted into yaoi fanfic.
unlabelledView post →to be clear Reign of Fire was a significantly better movie than this one, that movie ruled
unlabelledView post →I always love when people talk to me about movies because they use the word "film" and then I get to tell them that National Treasure and Reign of Fire are unironically my two favorite movies. I have watched National Treasure well over 500 times mostly while drunk.

unlabelledView post →I’m still of the opinion that Reign of Fire did the best dragons in cinema. Their wings actually look believable in span and make a decent flight surface 😆

unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire was a stupid as fuck movie but I still love that one line from the dragonslayers trying to recruit new members: “There ain’t nothin’ magical about it! It’s got a heart, liver, and lungs: You take one out, you kill the beast!”
unlabelledView post →Hm, I don't really do BAD movies. I mean some are bad on a technical level but I still have a good time watching them. That said, Reign of Fire and Last Action Hero (although that one has had such a huge, rightful, critical reappraisal that i doubt many folks think it's bad) come to mind.
unlabelledView post →I know these are more wyvern-dragon style adjacent but Dragonslayer and Reign of Fire have some of the best dragon designs in (film)media for me. But I do love Caraxes' design in HotD bc I'm very biased towards noodles There's a lot of neat game dragons out there.

unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire is the ultimate chick flick, a movie shot with the female gaze. Starring the three hottest male actors of all time.
unlabelledView post →Can you just fucking imagine how many people slept on Reign of Fire? Like, tell people today that there's a post apocalypse fantasy movie with dragons, tanks, and some heavily implied will-they-wont-they between McConaughey and Christian Bale (w/Gerard Butler in the background) Shit was in *2002*
unlabelledView post →If technology fails, we will end up staging plays based on our best memories of popular movies. The stars wars play in Reign of Fire is the most accurate part of that movie
unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire is good, actually. I straight up watched that fucking movie 3 times in the theatre as a kid. Dragon apocalypse is fun af.

unlabelledView post →I’ve been sitting on this script for YEARS (ask @thejoelynch.bsky.social). Ever since I was introduced to Reign of Fire via @junkfoodcinema.bsky.social, I’ve been obsessed with it and immediately saw it as a modern TV series. This is, by far, one of my top three samples.
unlabelledView post →When Bale's supposed to be the crazy guy, it's great (American Psycho, Vice, American Hustle). If he knows to play off someone else's batshit performance (Reign of Fire, 3:10 to Yuma, TDK), it's great. But he'll also give a batshit performance where none is required and ruin the movie.
unlabelledView post →You can hear him in Reign of Fire (great movie) feigning a british accent and it just sounds bizarre when you realise it's his real accent.
unlabelledView post →Not a book, but the film Reign Of Fire starts with a kid wandering round a subterranean building site with no hard hat or other safety equipment and with every adult he passed going "Hey buddy". And THEN asks us to suspend disbelief and buy the fire breathing dragons living under London.
unlabelledView post →The #BacklotTramTour featured a scene from the film “Reign of Fire”, a movie about Dragons, except there was no dragon in the tram version. Today guests walk here on the way to #WorldofFrozen
unlabelledView post →It's really fucked up that they killed the last living dragons to make Reign of Fire. Fun movie but special effects had come far enough at that point it was totally unnecessary
unlabelledView post →Reign of Fire is definitely a fantasy film there’s a fricking dragon in it.
unlabelledView post →Love With the Perfect Sniper: watched The Gorge this evening. Not since Reign of Fire has there been a movie this exuberantly, exorbitantly stupid. Not since Matthew McConaughey in Reign of Fire has a talent been as wasted as Anya Taylor-Joy is in this stinker.
unlabelledView post →13 - "Reign Of Fire" (2002) It's been said, but let me just reiterate: this movie walked so GoT could run. Fantastic monster design that mostly holds up. And every D&D character I play has a little Denton Van Zan in 'em, whether they like it or not. www.imdb.com/title/tt0253...
