Showdown in Little Tokyo
An American with a Japanese upbringing, Chris Kenner is a police officer assigned to the Little Tokyo section of Los Angeles. Kenner is partnered with Johnny Murata, a Japanese-American who isn't in touch with his roots. Despite their differences, both men excel at martial arts, and utilize their formidable skills when they go up against Yoshida, a vicious yakuza drug dealer with ties to Kenner's past. From TMDB

Lester/1991) Dolph Lundgren and the late, great Brandon Lee (R.I.P.) as cops doing their thing in this awesome action movie. Up there with the greats of buddy cop action films.

Saturday, 8/23: Big Bad Film Fest will be screening the beserker SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO, w/ Dolph Lundgren & Brandon Lee as mismatched buddy cops who take on the LA yakuza. I'm hosting a Q&A with director Mark L. Lester after the movie. Get tix: www.bigbadfilm.com/individual-m...

positive · AI labelView post →The Package should be an alternate title for Showdown in Little Tokyo, in which Brandon Lee compliments Dolph Lundgren on his enormous dick. (for real, this happens in the movie)

neutral · AI labelView post →“Showdown in Little Tokyo” is a fascinating experiment in ‘what if they made a Steven Seagal film with someone who’s both a better actor & a physically more credible action star.’ The only Seagal bingo square left unchecked is Dolph not having a CIA backstory—basically everything else is there

The first computer game could be argued to have been released in 1950, and the first commercial video game was released in 1971. Let's call it either 70 or 50 years ago. 14 years is 20~28% of the entire history of video games. The first feature film came out in 1906; let's call it 120 years old. So let's calculate what 20~28% of this history of film is. 20% of 120 years is 24 years, and 28% is 33.6,…
