unlabelledView post →And you do the same thing in Reaper: Have a source audio track (not plain MIDI). Add a new, blank track to record the Kaoss Pad. Switch the audio device in settings to the Kaoss Pad (which must be in "Send" mode). Monitor with the KP headphones. Arm the new track for record and go for it, making X-Y pad motions. This will be recorded to the new track. Then when finished, switch the audio device back to the original system settings, un-mute and play! #KaossPadV in #Reaper
unlabelledView post →Oh yeah: If your eyes wandered off to the right to 'Channels' toggles, the six audio channels are identified as "surround" only because Spectralayers. What the file itself contains, there's one channel for engine and five for alternate exhaust sounds. This so that once I run the Crankcase Rev remapper on a bunch of such files, I get all the alternates processed on single go.
