I wanted to like this game as there are very few total simulators or this category and genre, however the game has some serious issues of which I can not support the game due to. The game is fundamentally broken for several reasons: 1. The developers clearly have no idea what political systems do what. Or even remotely how they operate. 2. The US is a Constitutional Republic. Not a Federal Presidential Parliament Republic (Or whatever). 3. The fact that you can only slot people in…

Gave it a go but couldn't really get into it, it's better than superpower 3 I guess. AI generated art is fine I guess but it was a bit weird declaring war, one old man shouting at his twin brother and waving his 4 fingered hand about.

This game having mostly negative reviews is Beyond me. Is it buggy? Ye. Is it not polished? Ye. Is it in Early Access and is it being constantly developed, with devs being communicative even in the ♥♥♥♥ reviews? Yes, it is. It clearly needs some more work, there are a lot of systems, some have been given more time others less, but it's certainly not a bad game and i'd like to see it's potential when fully grown. If that was a Paradox game, already half of the content would be in DLCs...

The game uses AI generated portraits extensively to the point where it's off-putting to watch. Also, the modern day Polish government is full of young adult politicians and consists of about 60% of women. The parties of government are totally generic. I understand the point, but the demographics of the the government and the ministries are that bad it's even funny to discover.

I keep doing this to myself, after purchasing the previous Realpolitiks games and being disappointed, I decided that the time was right for me to give it another go and try their new title on a huge sale. This has been a major disappointment. First of all, the game feels like a mobile game than an actual grand strategy game, the economy doesn't make any sense whatsoever, the politics are randomized and do not correlate to the real-life equivalents, regional unions almost no purpose in game,…

A Realpolitiks 3 Early Access joke : What are 37 billion Hindustanis doing in France ? They were fleeing the 45 trillion Mestizos living in North Korea, of course. Let it cook and maybe avoid it for now; as it stands it's barely functionnal and often makes no sense at all.

ONCE UNINSTALLED, GO TO LOCALLOW AND DELETE THE FOLDER! 14GB of save data was left on my SSD after I uninstalled it. Interesting and fun game but marred by technical issues to the point of me not being able to suggest it. The biggest being a 14GB folder of my saves. 14Gb of saves in 6.5hrs is just too much, and to have them stay on the PC after uninstalling is just NOT ok.

So I'm not sure how to feel about this game, on one hand I like geopol type games, on the other re-rolling 6 times in a row only to get black female leaders that are chauvinists and nationalists.. in the US, with consistent 80%+ Democrat representation in the Senate and 100% in the cabinet is a little.. off putting, I'd say hold off until they either add starting leader editing or at least a re-roll button at the start of the playthrough if they're dead set on random leader starts

This game is clearly made by a leftist who has no idea how actual economics works. The whole system is unbalanced and does not reflect realistic causality or decision externalities. It would become tolerable if it had consul commands to manually adjust trajectories to match and create a more realistic simulation but it doesn't. I'm sure this review will get a lot of hate from socialists, but it is what it is.

I think it could be one of the best sim games, but there is absolutely 0 explenation to how this game works, than after learning how to play the game. Things just randomly change however they like, so that you have even less of an idea how to play. Started playing as New Zealand and at the outset we're losing money. Ok, fine we can work on that. Start on a couple of research/projects but now we're losing more money and action points are in the negatives too. Realise bureaucracy is chewing through a hell of a lot of money so reduce bureaucracy but then realise bureaucracy is giving me action points. By reducing bureaucracy to minimum and taxes to maximum I can just make money but now action points are like -5200. But now I don't have any…

The portrait system is one of the weakest aspects of the game and severely damages immersion. Even when selecting an Asian country, most politicians and ministers use Latin/European-looking portraits. This breaks regional consistency and makes the simulation feel careless. A geopolitical simulator should clearly separate portrait pools by region — Asian countries should have Asian leaders, not reused global assets. On top of that, many portraits do not resemble educated political elites or…

I'm a huge 4x and grand strat fan, so I want to like this game. But the game doesn't want to be liked in it's current state. The research trees are underwhelming. The economy is wierd. Ambitious, but a mess otherwise. The documentation is so barebones as to be useless, systems are there without any explanations (where tf is slavery and how do i get rid of it?). bugs aplenty and things pop up without any explanation. People who like those kind of games like to see the feedback of their actions, even when negative, not a -1 stability popping out from nowhere without any explanation that completely destroy a long-running strategy.

This is the most misunderstood political sim out there. It could be due to a lack of online info on how to play it successfully or just the fact of its complex and slower game play. In any case i highly recommend this gem of a game. The programmer put a lot of content into this game and it truly deserves more then its mixed reviews on steam. At this point, I don't know what you are improving/or lack there of. Nothing seems to make sense in this one. even after a full year of being out. It's okay at first, but soon turns out to be a complete waste of time no matter what you do. Stick to the first one. It's the best you are going to get here.

I was looking for a replacement game for Civ 6 because I did not like the looks of Civ 7 and the concepts behind this game looked very interesting. The game had a lot of potential but the execution of the game is very complex with only the most basic explanations of the concepts. Alright, so this is one I've had an issue with debating if it's a reccomend or not. It is very fun... when it works. First, you can rebuild the Roman Empire. Which by itself is a positive. There's different political systems you can embody, including the mid-century German system. Play without blocs, and you can invade Canada as America. The colonization is fun, but also not really intuitive when it comes to properly colonizing other planets (you have to scroll alllllll the way out on earth,…

Even with the new update, this game remains clunky and buggy. The save system, whether autosave or manual, feels like a gamble every time—flip a coin and pray it doesn’t freeze the game. Despite hours of stock market research, you still can’t build one, which is frustrating. The head-of-state perks system is also flawed; even when you’re eligible to upgrade to the next perk, the game throws an error saying, “Must implement previous perk,” blocking any progress.
