60 of 95 · most liked firstThis game is great and I enjoyed it. However the fact that to gain access to 3 of the 6 doomsday scenarios, that IN the trailer video shows as released, is to go onto their discord and stream/advertise the game for them is hilariously scummy. If that's the case that you want to lock content from normal people, then DON'T include the stuff in your trailer.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is simply AMAZING! I love how I can buy the game and 5 friends can join the game for free! The replayability of the game is really amazing, everyone has different playstyles which causes hilarious interactions. Because you can also play it on mobile it is super accessible, and it makes for a great (serious) party game. The different scenarios are all really great, the visuals are beautiful and the game interactions are hilarious. I've laughed out loud because of the news messages.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love me some party games, so it kinda pains me to leave a negative review on this one. Its got pretty good production value and a intriguing concept, but it's just not that exciting; or, at least it's not exciting enough for a party game. I was honestly bored after the first round and couldn't wait to be done. Every player represents a part of humanity with the goal of surviving an Earth generated crisis. You see, Earth is playing against humanity to undue the damage we've caused these many…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You play this game on your phone and watch things unfold on the computer. It was kind of cool but also kind of annoying. There's no need to interface to my phone to play this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I get the idea behind the game, there is really not much incentive for most players to be infighting, as the 'winner' is just the one who crippled the team the most and made it the most likely the team would lose. I think it would make more sense if the winner was the one who had the most impact in terms of preventing earth from winning. The whole time I'm kind of just questioning why I would _want_ to do anything but cooperate, when the incentives for the game mean that as a non-earth…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Of Project Planet, let's weave a rhyme, A fleeting joy, though not all the time. No need to multi-purchase, just share one code with glee, Via browser, the party's set, for all to see. With only five scenarios, variety may fade, As shared events repeat, in friendships' shade. Yet when on sale, it's worth a try, For an evening's joy, under the digital sky. And oh, the thrill, to save the Earth's plight, By crushing humanity, in strategic might! So gather your friends, let the game begin, In…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game's good, yet still a negative review and this isn't something that I usually do whenever a game is good HOWEVER... I felt mislead through the way the game is catagorized: Online PvP - Online Co-op etc... In my opinion... If you buy a game and you need to FORCE your friends to play with you because THEY cannot implement a match making system / lobby system inside of the game. Then you shouldn't promote it as ONLINE PvP ADDITIONALLY If you can't play it ONLINE PvP... It should be good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →“Amazingly fun, play it with up to 6 people, or fill the other spots with AI. Almost every game that I played was different, with other people. It’s a bit like Plague inc, but multiplayer.” Bottled Tastes Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/38844457/ We had the luck to host Project Planet at one of our Test & Play Showcase events where we playtested the game with multiple people over the course of an evening via a big screen and a living room vibe. Rik and Sjors, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Already played the demo quite a bit with the influenza disaster and now just finished destroying humnaity with tornadoes and floods. Great game to play against friends when you're organizing a get-together or just plain fun over Discord if you can rally some people to join. Really curious about the 3 coming distasters, can't wait to try them! In short: If you're a fan of partygames like Jackbox Party pack, then you'll have a great time with this as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's lacking the party game aspect of this. If you're a bunch of nerds then you're gonna align on a lot of actions which means the players win, but out of the winner of players it doesn't matter. If somebody tries to for that win then the match suffers dramatically allowing the planet player to easily win. Animations are quite slow. The amount of actions a player does over the course of a game is slim, I kinda expected a bit more involvement between players. It's just a bit boring waiting while…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the game itself is refreshing, entertaining, and 100% a blast to play... the support team behind the devs leave me with a very serious bad taste in my mouth after only a couple of engagements with their community moderation staff. If ethics in community management mean anything to you, I highly suggest BOYCOTTING this game, and telling your friends to do the same.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My journey with Project Planet and the dev team has been swift and brilliant over the past 3 months, but I feel like I've known them for a lifetime. There have been so many ways I have described Project Planet to others, but I think the one statement for me that holds true is "it is a game with the weight of the world on your shoulders." It's been brilliant fun to play on stream, so streamers should take note and keep an eye out for this one. I am not a streamer who dabbles in party games…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had a blast playing the game as the Scientists, until those damn World Leaders back-stabbed me. Bloody bastards! I got my revenge in the next game when playing Earth and unleashed hell upon those pesky humans! I love the way that you need to cooperate to survive, while being aware everyone has their own agenda. Do you have some friends with whom you played games like Among Us? Who like to scr*w around and make life hard for everyone? Than you will have fun playing this game. I recommend to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No for me, could be fun as a once off party game. If you have people reasonably quick readers/thinkers and willing to play into it, could be interesting. It is quite dense on reading, and each "faction" plays a bit different. I can see people getting lost very quickly with the pacing. The events are well thought out and somewhat novel. The influence system and help/hinder actions fall flat; (i forget a specific example, but similar to)have a catastrophic asteroid event, then the scientists…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great and AMAZING game. Tons of replay value with friends! This is one of the better couch coop multiplayer games to date, best part of it, you only need one screen to display the events on and pretty much all your friends with just a mobile phone can hop in and join the fun. No need to have tons of controllers around just to find out you have more friends than controllers they all can join the fun! Creating all these disastrous events sounds serious, but trust me nothing beats backstabbing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would recommend it if there was the possibility to play with randoms and join a public lobby. If you dont have friends who like this sort of game, you have to play with ai.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't spend £20.99 on a game expecting that, in order to play it, I'd have to login via my phone and play on that. You can't physically play anything on the desktop version, the PC just plays cut-scenes and all the game-play is done from your phone/browser. So if you're expecting a PC game, instead of a glorified party game for your phone/browser, then avoid this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game to play with your friends on the couch, or online through Discord! If you want to play a multiplayer version of Plague Inc. or a party game that's a little more serious than Jackbox, this is the game you're looking for!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a great couch co-op game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the perfect party game to play with friends online or in person! You can watch humanity fall by your hand, or work together to make the world suck a little less. PROS - Only 1 person has to purchase the game. Talk about saving some $ - Gives me "The 100" vibes, where we are trying to save the last of mankind and trust one another to make the right decision - Can be played online AND/OR in person - 1 game is a good length; around 40 minutes - The graphics are SO good - Seeing the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's unfortunately not enough play time to justify steep 20€ (or 25€ post-sale) price. The game play is predictable and with a bunch of smart friends you're able to deduce how to beat "Earth" every time no matter what they do. As long as you don't care about the influence it's 5:1, if you do then it's basically 2:2:1 as Earth makes a dent in your population. I'd definitely appreciate more options or on the contrary limiting options to humankind. The point system for Earth is fun and the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At this moment, there are only 3 active scenarios, even though it looked like there were 6 in the demo. Although the free pandemic version is a fun party game, with 6 different roles... 3 scenarios are not worth 20 dollars, in my opinion. Especially when you very quickly start seeing repeat content (especially from Earth). And each run of a given scenario is always the exact same events, with maybe upwards of 4 options (which affect no further options) each. Also, none of the scenarios that…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game multiple times on live streams before the release and loved it. Now I can play it with my friends on the couch which is my absolute favorite gameplay type. Old school couch gaming. Or, in case of a pandemic, you can still play this through discord ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Project Planet is an amazing party game where you and your friends can work together to save humanity or destroy it. The game is hilarious, unpredictable, and replayable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun game to play with friends. Here are some of the things I love about Project Planet: It's a lot of fun with friends. The replayability is really amazing. The different scenarios are all really great. The visuals are beautiful and the game interactions are hilarious. The AI…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its something of like a Jackbox party game. But rather than have a bunch of mini games you have just the one well made one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the idea of the game. But as is, it is boring. Your choices do tell a nice story but in the end they are interchangeable and each action feels drawn out to not end a session within minutes. Also each faction can only be taken by a single player and we were initially hoping to be Earth together.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had the honor of bringing this game to our Twitch community as an Alpha/Beta testing group. As such, the boys at Fifth Harbour were lovely enough give me a copy of the game. We play every Monday and are still dedicated to helping the dev team make this game even more awesome for community gamers. i'm hoping to see twitch chat integration soon on the game. Possibly letting the audience control one or more roles in game. It plays like Jackbox, so only one person needs to own the game to share…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is very very neat and I think has so much potential: Pros: - Can be played alone or with friends (Most of my time was on others games) - Only one person needs to own the game - The choices do feel like they matter Cons: - The Hostile V Ally options can feel kind of poorly utilized - AI takes so long to think -It is quite pricey for one game compared t other similar mobile based multiplayer games have more variety for less price I will say it was a very fun game to play though I can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Went into this game with no expectations and genuinely had a blast, as a party game this slaps. My only criticism (and it's a minor one) is that playing as Earth feels a bit OP at present, and it's easy to win if the other player factions are infighting even a little. That being said I played for 6~ hours with friends and never got bored, the other factions all feel unique and the fact that only one can win creates some great moments. For sure keeping an eye on future updates.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was a ton of fun with a full lobby of friends, can't wait to see more updates/dlc for this one in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the beta a lot and I am so happy that its finally released! Will have a ton of fun playing and streaming this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Love this game, played the demo for a while and was waiting for more disasters. The game feels like a bit more serious version of Jackbox. You have to work together to survive as humanity but don't be too friendly because there can only be one real winner. Also Friday streams are awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would highly recommend this game. It is fun to play together with friends and ofcourse against your friends. Sit down with a beer and game on! It has got the vibes from the old plaque inc games. Also a shout out to the people behind the game. I played the demo together with them and watched some of their streams. Really fun, keep up the good work!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun 1v5 game to play on a friday night with many chances to backstab co-operate your friends! Also has great, active devs who listen to feedback.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun party game! I do this on stream every week and we always have a blast. Each game is different.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ai slop game, very unoptimized and bad code, you can even cheat on this game via web if you wanted. 2/10
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →SINGLE PLAYER CAN BE PLAYED - use your phone! PHENOMENAL game, my family plays it on game nights and it's waaaaayyy fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game! Love playing co-op with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great partygame to play with friends on the couch or online through screen sharing! Love the constant dilemma's you're in. There are many board games in this genre but I haven't seen this in a video game yet which is awesome. While there is clearly a common goal, everyone has their own interests which you need to be very careful of. Whom of your friends do you trust and are you sure you won't get backstabbed? Every game is unique which means you won't get bored easy. Only 1 person needs to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly some of the most fun I have had in along time with my long distance friends. Even playing solo was quite fun as I watched the AI fight itself only to fail in the end due to a well timed crisis. 10/10 game. Can't wait to see the other remaining disasters added!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the few actually refreshing instances of indie games that make genre specific elements mesh well elements from physical games like boardgames and cardgames. It's as serious as you want it to be while also being accessible for many different age categories. There's really just a lot of good things to unpack. Definitely worth the price seeing as you only need 1 seat to host the game for a group of friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such an interesting concept! I especially like how playing along is so accessible. No app, no signing up, just enter your name and go. When playing with friends on the couch, using a browser on your phone is perfect. When playing with a streamer and their community, opening a new browser window on my second screen does the job. Awesome!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Definitely recommend, had a blast playing Project Planet! Very cool and unique take on party games. Every game is different due to the various events and all different choices players make. This ensures a lot of fun and unpredictable chaos, which makes for great replayability. Get ready to betray your friends or wipe out all of humanity altogether :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun game to play with friends, or against some very unpredictable A.I. Been having a blast so far. Can be played on mobile, on tablet or on the PC browser. On sale for the first week, so get it while you can!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so for a review, i cant say much the web browser client didn't work, i tried a few games and in the first game i got to choose what to do but in after the first round it stopped giving me actions..... and what i understood is that it does not require you to communicate which makes unintresting as a party game.... so i refunded it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The fact that you basically have to use your mobile phone to play this game and it makes your PC a glorified television was very disappointing for me... The gameplay was a bit mediocre and lacked routing based on previously made choices... IE: I played as Earth, depleted Coal which then forced more gas usage, then the next stage depleted gas which forced more coal usage... But how if I had already depleted coal could it be used... lack of logic routes based on previously made choices...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good fun to play with friends when you're gathered somewhere. Would appreciate more options for all players including disasters
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In our group, the game did not work. Firstly, the game does not encourage active communication between players. Second, when one player (other than Earth) is focused on winning, he makes decisions that increase his position without regard for the population. The other players are forced to either fight Earth and lose to the fifth, or increase their positions and lose to Earth.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really recommend this game to other people but the only thing that we need is other languages like german etc.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →cant just play the game have to use my phone.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello and all the best for everyone! :) Let me first state that my real playtime is already tens of times higher than what Steam shows right now (0,6 h), because I have played a lot on other people's streams. Now that we got that out of the way, let's get going! :D I just love the surviving a disaster theme, balancing between being egoistical and working for the common good and also how fair and inclusive this game is (being faster/younger/having more powerful device etc. things like that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had the privilege of playing this game with the developers before its beta release. It plays smoothly and had great fun playing with friends at home on a TV-screen. The concept was new to me, using both your phone and a PC and/or TV. I would definitely recommend this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is amazing! its a unique and interesting concept. first i played every role type of humanity to realize the all have unique play style/choices/feeling. then i played as earth and it was like playing a totally new game. this made me want to go back and forth between humanity and earth to switch things up. after all these many games (demo included) i started to switch up the different disaster types and was blown away again! it changed up the status quo yet again! it like you buy the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun game with friends! Stab them in the back after exalting their virtues all round. Definitely looking forward to the new disasters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! finally I have A game I can play with my non gamer girlfriend. We need more games like this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyable! My only complaint is that the hurricane scenario is a little goofy since the hurricane starts in the gulf of mexico and kill the entire world population who is all somehow located in the southern US. Can't wait for the additional content!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game. Needs more content but otherwise a neat concept and easy to play a game with 3-5 friends. Only one of you needs to own the game. It's disappointing there's only 3/6 disasters available. at "release" I'd hoped from the demo to play all 6 for the entry cost. Regardless happy to support this genre of buy once, play with friends.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played with my friends and wow! Love it! So much replay-ability and so many choices I can hardly wait to play with even more peeps. What I love about this game is its very reminiscent of The Thing board game where people work together for a larger objective while trying to save their own skin. There are many ways you can go about cooperation and plain ego run, it gives good meaningful choices that circle back to new ones. I hope the developers continue adding more to the gameplay but even now…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game, found it today having been on with friends looking around through steam, nabbed it and played it with them for a few hours, still so as I write this, it has great potential and we already love it. I can't wait to see the more love and development put into this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Full disclosure, I was sent a key for this game- however I was already *very interested* in more "Jackbox style" games to include in the rotation prior to that, and Project Planet was on my radar beforehand. Above and beyond anything else, this game creates conversation. You know those frantic chats you'd have over a game of Werewolf or Mafia? This game provides those in spades, with everyone trying desperately to argue that, yes, it's fine that they're at 1.4x power while everyone else is…
