It does not explain what the differences are between them (if there are any at all) or what each prison will actually involve, you're just expected to guess. I went with the first option. You start with an area of land and an amount of cash to start your prison. You first need to put some fencing up, plop a place for the inmates to sleep and a security building. From there you just continue to expand until all available buildings have been placed and you have your prison. By that I mean there's a lot of micro-managing, and forethought in every decision you make. No different than SimCity, or any other simulatlion. So I recommend this game for anyone that has the aptitude, and patience for it. Too many people out there getting games, and expecting or want quick results. If you're looking for that, then this is not the game for you.

You can't give movement orders while the game is paused, and this becomes a problem when an inmate is sprinting at mach 4 over your fance and is gone before you can click on him. Putting a guard in a tower is pointless because they get confused and walk forever and stand by while inmates sprint by them and hop the fence. The AI for the inmates is…

Figured out how to play it, and I had some success, but some rather major programming errors drove me crazy. Like how the gate will stay open so people can wander out at will. If you're looking for an actually good prison builder game, check out Prison Architect. The game is still in early release but is much more worth your time than this garbage.

I shut the game down but it still ran for over 24 hours in the background. I didn't even notice until I wanted to play another game and it said I had another application running.
