56 of 56 · most liked firstThis is one of my absolute favorite games from my childhood. I played this countless of hours when I was a kid, making weird pizzas, decorating lavish restaurants, and of course blowing up my competitors (and subsequently spending a lot of time in jail). But it wasn't until I played this as an adult that I figured out how advanced this game really is - and how hard it is when you play it honest (not trafficking guns). Even though the game is over 20 years old it's still really fun to play,…

unlabelledView post →Good old nostalgia. Brings back all the beautiful memories of the time i spent trying to beat this game as a kid. Got it on a sale for 3€ and it is absolutely worth it. Would not have bought it full price though - it is playable for free with a few minutes of your time to download everything you need. Oh, and don't forget to download the "manual". It is actually a recipe book and you need at least several of the standart recipes on your menu to make your pizza restaurants work. Yea, that's…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Computer Gaming World named this the 34th worst game ever made? lol First of all, gaming mainstream media sucks. Yeah, they are terrible reviewers. IGN, GameSpot, other critics that appear on Metacritic, all of them, I don't like or follow them. Computer Gaming World is today a defunct 80s/90s magazine which I never read because I live in Brazil, but here we had similar ones which reviews sucked and they are all dead by now too. I played a lot of Pizza Tycoon back in my teenage years; I was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While I appreciate the nostalgia factor of playing this 90s game, the fact there is no tutorial during gameplay is ridiculous. This makes it extremely confusing to navigate because the controls aren't listed in the manual online (at least not that I've seen). Furthermore having to look up and replicate all the pizza recipes every time you restart is tedious to say the least. On a technical note: The screen flashes contrast color every now an then during certain scenes; specially after the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works flawlessly on Steam Deck! Switch to Proton Experimental if you get an initial crash. Also, it takes a minute to figure out the controls, as nothing is labeled, but I found everything to be intuitive: blend of trackpad and buttons. I’ll caveat that: “intuitive” IF you played this back in the 90’s. If you’re brand-new to Pizza Connection, you may find the lack of explanations throughout the game to be as frustrating as I did in the 90’s! Also, don’t forget to download the recipe book; it’s…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's something immediately suspicious about this ancient game... sold on Steam as "Pizza Connection" developed and published by "Assemble Entertainment" but the title splash screen and credits have the game listed as "Pizza Tycoon" from Microprose, and the game was developed by a group called Cybernetic Corporation. Part business tycoon and part organised crime simulator, build Pizza restaurants and try to compete legitimately or use them as a front for the mob. The gameplay is quite…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to order a Pizza Disclaimer I played this game as it came out in 1994 so my opinion might be biased but in my defence this game aged well, more so than others. Overview So you like pizza? Well many do. Ever wondered how to manage a Pizza-Empire? Great then look no further (ok maybe the successors) Here you start small by renting a shop where you will offer your delicious Pizzas to the customers. The restaurant needs some furniture which you can mix and match as you like. You…

unlabelledView post →This game is really interesting. I think I played it for free about 10+ years ago when I found it on the internet. I got it again here for next to nothing on Steam and tried it again, and I would have to say this one might be my least favorite of the three. I dont recall how I figured it out originally, but you basically need to download a manual to be able to make the pizzas right, which is pivotal to you being successful in the game. In other words, the mechanics of this version of game are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: - Nice blend of restaurant management and being a criminal - Create your own pizzas! - Mechanics are quite straightforward, eg: Can check the potential customer base of your restaurant location before you buy and trends that affect what pizza ingredients are hated and loved - Funny jokes and puns found throughout Cons - Interface is very wonky by today's standards (especially buying and selling) - Game time passes by as you think of your pizza creations - Can be tedious when you have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →nostalgia and very addictive. i always knew it was complex when i was a kid playing the game but playing it again as an adult i never really did know how complex it really was. super fun re-learning everything from scratch and as an adult. i enjoy the game immensely, it's not just putting toppings on a pizza for me now -- i can finally bribe the mayor for awards. im fully deep in with the underworld now boys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →old school pizza tycoon. love it. :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love Pizza tycoon But this version is broken. For instance, when quickstarting with a large restaurant cities won't load. It's a sad thing if you need to download a game from dubious sources to be able to play it, because the legit version fails to work as should
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →games fun but you need to download the pizza making manual to play. this will suck up a few hundred hours
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh the nostalgia of this old pizza tycoon game bringing back memories. All about sticking that full lobster boi on that base.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →@quincy "...they don't turn into the AfD..." They might. They will. Back when Gerhard #Schröder, the "Comrade of the Bosses" took over the SPD he turned the party into a second CDU. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game works well. It would just need a modern interface, the rest is nice. Asked a refund just because it came with PC 2 which cannot be played due to the interface becoming foggy and unreadable.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, such a great game - but you need to use the manual (included with purchase) and possibly check online guides if you haven't played before. The reason we like games like this is the depth of mechanics in the background. Many modern games don't prioritise this as much because they have fancy graphics and UIs, but games like Pizza Tycoon (Connection) were all about learning the systems and winning that way. Great game if you have the patience to learn, or it's something you've played…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best Pizza mafioso game ever made.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't want modern devs to make games just like those from my childhood. I do want them to look at those games and take lessons as they make new and exciting games for new audiences though. But if they could make a new and actually fun Pizza Connection game that'd be neat, thanks.
unlabelledView post →Nostalgia only but still it was not fun even for me that wanted to relive child memories
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is nostalgia to the maximum. If you love the idea of making your own pizzas running your own shop and running the competition into the ground I recommend this game. It is still a great game to be 30 years old.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my absolute favourite game from my childhood. Played this game countless hours and whats not to love about making great pizzas while doing some work for the mob, compromising the competition and taking over the world and becoming the best pizza chain in the world. Pick it up on sale or pay the regular prize, anyways its a steal if you like old games with great humour!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my all-time favorite games. Super fun, interesting, and deep!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A real gem I gotten this game for my 7 birthday, that was back in 1996, i'm still occasionally playing this game. I spent houdrets of hours with this game and still no regrets. It's fun, simple and it has a great simplistic logic. Nevertheless the whole "mafia" concept adds a cool touch to the overall feeling of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →horrible ui, glitchy screen and the game barely explains anything
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game, certainly could use a few quality of life updates from this century, but none of the sequels could quite capture the charm it has. It can be perfectly on Windows or Linux played using the open-source reimplementation called Pizza Legacy (google it), you just need the assets from the original game.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pizza Connection is a classic business simulation that captures the spirit of 1990s tycoon design while wrapping it in a playful, slightly irreverent tone. Developed and published by Assemble Entertainment, the game places players in charge of building a pizza empire from a single restaurant into a sprawling, competitive business. Despite its age, it remains a surprisingly involved management experience, one that emphasizes hands-on decision making and rewards careful attention to detail rather…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/oryR5YHIiS0 Thirty years is a heck of a long time and it shows with this game being almost impossible to navigate or play.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't forget to buy lemon ice cream!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it very difficult to get properly started in this pizza parlor management game. The biggest difficulty spike is during the beginning when you're trying to balance your finances and get a steady stream of clientele to your restaurant. You need to make about 4 or 5 recipes with the exact same amount of ingredients as shown in the manual. It's the archaic copy protection of the game, otherwise no customers ever come to your restaurant. Start by taking a loan, renting a property and making…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still a great DOS classic and sadly, the best of the pizza tycoon series available on steam.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A game for people who like to collect games, not much more these days. Im sure it was very good in its time, but unless you are a VERY particular kind fo "gamer", stay away from this one

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even after 30 years this game still stands up as a really fun game in the tycoon genre
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Listen I know it has Pizza in the name but trust me, this one ain't it ♥♥♥♥'s unplayable without a guide, and even with the use of a guide, it's still kinda meh. There are much better management sims out there that you could be playing, simply put.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite 90s games. Played this with my buddy every day during the summer vacation. It's an old game and I don't understand the sometimes negative reviews. What do you expect from a game that came out in 1994? If you like retro games, you should have this in your collection!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the best games from 1994, I am sad the developers hasn't remade this, pizza connection 2 and 3 was not nearly as good as the first one...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Classic Pizza Tycoon game. So far ahead of its time, it's rediculous. If anyone wonders, there's a German patch available on the steam discussion. You just have to create a folder called "game" inside the main game folder, so it can create save files.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Tags: Tycoon&Simulator&Sim&City Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Hybrid of Diner Dash and Contructor. You must set up a pizza restaurant and attack rivals using DOS-era interface and UI conventions. Unfortunately this game holds little to no value outside of a very small niche of nostalgia players whom would remember how to play the game and thus bypass some of the learning curve. There is nothing here that has not been done better since in the competition…
