positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game can't make up it's mind if it wants to be a Stealth game or a Tactical game, and in this case those elements are pretty exclusive and conflict with one another. I love the fact that it feels like a small resistance group in that you have to build up your camp and be wise with ammo and supplies because you can only obtain and carry so much. I hate the fact that stealth is forced on you rather than being treated as an acceptable strategy to conserve supplies and ammo. Half the time the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a good Commandos-like game. Fun story is nice enough and the game play is fun. Its nice to kill Nazis.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Comrades! Partisans 1941 is not merely a game — it is a heroic ode to the brave souls who resisted the fascist invaders on our sacred soil. This tactical masterpiece captures the essence of guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines, where every bullet counts and every comrade is precious. For the Motherland!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →kill proper fascists
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's great to FINALLY kill fascists with the army that ACTUALLY won ww2! I really loved this game, it's simply beautiful and has GREAT mechanics similar to old-school strategy games which I love, and the thematic is just the best. But the devs REALLY need to add hovering over items to show info or compare guns, it's really tiring to right click everytime That said, the game is great!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure why this game has such low reviews, it's a minor masterpiece. We rarely get games that humanize Soviet fighters without playing into stereotypes or propaganda of some kind. The way the narrative frames the differences between the partisans and the collaborators goes even further, making this not just an enjoyable piece of historical fiction, but an evergreen commentary on how people and cultures respond to fascism, whether they will resist, or succumb because it is convenient. You can…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Partisans 1941 had potential, but it’s a frustrating experience overall. Achievements are misleading: On Steam, DLC achievements (from Back Into Battle) are mixed right into the base game list. This makes it look like you can unlock things like Missions Mode and Defense Mode, when in reality they’re locked behind paid DLC. If you only own the base game, you’ll never be able to 100% the achievements. It feels unfair and misleading for completionists. Unresponsive UI: The interface often…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Intriguing ideas, but fumbles too often to be truly great. Partisans is a strange game, it has some very unique features but the actual product still leaves a lot to be desired. Unlike similar isometric stealth games Partisans has a loot system where you can pick up equipment, weapons, and ammo for use on the field. This includes food and materials which are used for the base management side of the game. It's a neat idea and your party members can make use of literally anything at their…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shadow Tactics, but you get to kill fascists. Jankier with less interesting characters but I think having real combat as an option makes up for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Partisans 1941 is an underrated gem for real-time tactics lovers. Engaging story, great characters (each with unique abilities), and plenty of ways to approach missions — whether you love going full stealth or guns blazing. I personally went for stealth: quick kills, knives, and lots of mines. Super satisfying. You'll need to think before acting — enemy patrols are sharp. Planning is everything. I’d recommend it even to those new to the genre — it’s accessible, but still offers a solid…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a really good and a unique game. Tactical games like this (like Commandos) usually doesn't have a character progression and have restrictions on which character you can pick up to your next mission. The game also have some unique mechanics like taking cover and automatically shooting the enemies that comes in range. Shooting doesn't alert the whole map like Commandos which I continuously beaten using stealth. With Partisans, you are not afraid of shooting. In fact, you look forward to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has an identity crisis, like some other people have mentioned in reviews. Is this a stealth game or a tactical game? Partisans doesn't know; it really tries to make you think it's a tedious stealth game, but almost every single encounter ends up just being a shootout with awkward controls. Do I like the game? Sure. I definitely wouldn't *recommend* it, though.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The atmosphere of the game is impressive, and the ability to approach missions in different ways really enhances the feeling of guerrilla warfare. I like the classic specialization of the different heroes and the way they can be upgraded. The camp management mechanic is also an interesting idea. On the other hand, the experience is weakened by technical flaws, such as dump AI that doesn’t notice missing comrades or even an explosion right next to it. The repetitive camp management also tends…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is very good game. actually very good. Don't listen to the negative feedback. They don't know how to play this game correctly. The gameplay is: (1) you sneak to setting up the fight, eliminate every lone enemy. (2) setup your position then starting with grenades or special abilities.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game style relies on stealth and has the worst stealth system I've ever seen in a video game. You cut a man down while he was fully alerted? Well then the bro has some telepathic powers and told everyone in eastern Europe about your existence. At night time when you carry a body your detection level skyrockets to 2000%, but you can somehow stand next to a door and people walking in and out won't notice you. Oh better yet, sometimes when you get into a firefight, I guess gunshots are only…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy this game. Check out a film called "Come and See".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall it is a very fun game, I rate it a 7.5/10. Gameplay is rewarding and every character has unique abilities that you have to consider when building a team. The inventory is a good challenge and reminiscent of the Men of War games. I've always been a fan of stealth games, so this ranks high up there for me. Economy, sound design, and weapon variety are all something I think this game excels at. It's a nice addition that those who are not going on missions can stay home and work on ways to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very enjoyable, if rough around the edges. It's Commandos but Soviet, which is pretty unique. Stealth is tough but fair, and combat is short and brutal. One thing I really enjoyed is setting up ambushes: usually in tactical stealth games, gunfire is an absolute last resort or exclusively for when you're already detected. In this game, it's part of the strategy to start a gunfight on your own terms; set up crossfires, take up cover positions, put down mines. If done well, you can take down a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice bit of Commandos nostalgia gameplay-wise, plus you get to kick fascist a** while playing the good guys for once.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Parkinsons 1941 is the game that you take control of 3 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that they some times walk straight most time don't .tell them to stand against the wall as a group one or two of them decides to enter that building instead . in this game bad design is your worst enemy. why do you put an loot icon next to pick up the body ? can I just pick up the damn body if I wanna loot the body I can just press I and open my inventory and items in my vicinity ? when you have two or more enemies or bodies in a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you've played any Mimimi games before, I'd say you can skip this one. It's not that it's bad, but the controls feel a bit clunky, especially during stealth. I couldn't bear to continue playing; it just wasn't fun, even after trying to open my mind. Personally, I probably won't be playing this again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Unique Characters. Got on sale 85% off, and it's well worth $5 I spent. Story progression goes great, until about the final 3-4 missions, where you are stuck with only using 3 characters. Build up all game is getting this group together, then final missions you can only use 3 of the 8 unique units you get through the game. Very poor thought process to this. The camp building is lack luster over time, as it doesn't really add to value, I liked that it was basic, but eventually the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible, plagued with bugs and faults. no speed up function in spite of the fact you have to wait sometimes up to 5 minutes for a mission critical enemy to not be looked at, demands you use stealth but makes stealth clunky and unenjoyable. WILL kill you PC lowest graphics makes a 2 yaer old GPU reach 90 degrees with fans at max and in a cold room. A lot of the time you kill an enemy and it will be impossible to pick up his body (bug) so he will be seen and you instantly fail the mission.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →enjoyable and challenging stealth tactics experience. funny, too, if you level up sanek's slingshot. the bushes are filled to bursting with bodies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought the game cause I love Mimimi games, but this game is not even close. The game tends to encourage direct combat instead of stealth killing. Bugs make some tasks super easy and others unplayable. Enemy detection is buggy. So many times the enemy instant detect me with no good reason, yet when I throw knife right in front of them they don't care anymore. Hiding in grass sometimes makes you invisible even when they are standing right next to you, other times you are just spotted for no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Liked the idea, but spent most of the game being shown that stealth is basically the only approach that really matters as your characters can't aim to literally save their lives. So while you spend a majority of the game only using those characters who can actually accomplish anything in stealth and not bogging yourself down with ammo you won't use, you eventually get shoehorned into a level that does a complete 180 forcing you into a ridiculous wave defense mode with little to no prep…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are quite a number of times where I got pretty annoyed with the game especially with the instant fail stealth missions. Did you know that even if you killed 2 enemies side by side at around the same time, it still counts as a fail because the dying enemy saw you? Did you know that the dog sense will grow larger and detect hidden dead bodies? Did you know sometimes when you click the enemy location button, it interferes with the activated skill? DId you know that the enemy view cone does…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Many people write about bugs, I don’t know, maybe I was just lucky, but I only caught a couple of them in the entire game, which were cured by loading a quick save. Otherwise, the game is not bad, and it was quite entertaining to play through using mostly just a knife and mines, with minimal shooting only in missions where it was necessary.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even on sale, what a complete waste of money. Yeah games are buggy this one is super buggy I can't think of a game that was as annoying bug wise as this one. Really dumb dialog, kids playing army scenarios just all around a waste of money...thought it would be at least a change and fun but I was wrong glad I didn't buy the dlc
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quite good in most respects, very much like Commandos II but with more up to date graphics (even for an isometric game that's important). Mechanics are quite intuitive, moving the map with wasd+qe and the characters in point and click fashion. The characters are mostly well balanced, each with a rudimentary skilling chart which allows for you to set an emphasis on certain skills early on. Another fun thing is taking care of background tasks like foraging for food and other supplies in between…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game controls are restricting. There are three modes- standard, alternative and custom. Except for standard, the other two modes doesn't allow you to rotate camera in game, which is stupid. What is custom about it then? And when moving the mouse to the screen edge, the camera moves only in the standard mode. Why all these restrictions? One has to hold the alt key to highlight elements (the same done by tapping 'h' key to highlight in shadow tactics or desperados). Again, why should one…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR I strongly suggest this game. It's very fun. My complaints is that the game feels short and there's some glitches to be aware of. This is a good game and I strongly suggest buying it. I have just completed the game and I plan to go on to buy the DLC. Very fun, small unit guerilla tactical experience with multiple ways to approach the missions, and it's NOT an ideological pro-communism dogmatic experience. Also you're killing Nazis. It's strongly history inspired. The game is taking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The gameplay, the setting of the game and the characters are awesome. The game is, however, filled with a lot of bugs - to the point that it's practically impossible to play on the "Hard" setting (without saving, etc). I had a lot of fun and got my <2 EUR worth out of it, so I am still recommending it if you like this type of games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Completed the campaign, it took 17 hours. It has some silly bugs. For example it was very frustrating when I did a quest to find an epic weapon and then spent resources fully upgrading it, but for some reason no soldier can shoot with this rifle (Yes, it had the right ammo and it was loaded). The worse thing about this game is that it's filled with Russian propaganda. The Soviet is portrayed as a beautiful magical place with righteous leaders, when in fact Stalin and the communists was the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is not exactly Commandos or Desperados, it just reminds me a lot of them. But the combat is little bit different. You cannot pause the game to plan the actions, just slow down time. More focus is on shooting, although you can get very far, just by stealthing through the levels. It was still a lot of fun systematically clearing the levels, planning how to kill all the germans and using every tool at my disposal.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In general, the game is realistically designed and the mechanism is fairly acceptable (Simulated version of commandos series) , but I have negative view because its makes/increase hatred between nations. better to say , i dont want to lose/break any friend just for the genre of these games.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually liked this game at first. It has potential, and the first few hours were fun. Unfortunately, the more I played, the more bugs I encountered. Eventually the game became completely broken and I simply couldn't continue playing. Here are just some of the bugs I experienced: - A dog got permanently stuck inside a wall. - A soldier kept turning a power switch on and off through a wall. - After turning off the lights, a guard walked halfway to the fuse box, froze in place, and then just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this. High quality tactical pause / setup game. More on the high-stealth side, as opposed to last train home where you can build teams for a loud vs quiet vs balanced approach to missions. Overall, I think last train home is the better value game, unless you much prefer the more stealth-forced style tactics, in which case this is better suited to it, while last train home may force you to go loud sometimes or be harder to stealth parts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is good, but not exceptional compared to other games in the genre. The base mechanic is fun though. Why do I not recommend it? I didn't manage to get more than a few hours on this game, as that is as much of the story and dialogue I could take: "Germans evil. All Germans die. We can torture, poison mutilate them, because they are Germans. We are the great freedom."
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →looking at commandos: origins and kinda sinking at how far we've come in terms of UI. I like the silly immersive UI of the original game. The minimalist UI of the latest one is indistinguishable from any other game of this kind. There's also a screenshot of the similar Partisans 1941 #puppetposting
unlabelledView post →This game is a modern take on the classic Commandos series, and plays & feels better than even the modern Commandos editions. One great addition is to be able to pause the game, plan an attack or move for each character, then unpause to have all your characters simultaneously perform things. The only minus is perhaps the length and the complexity of missions and characters - they are kind of shorter and much less complex when compared to the old Commandos games. All in all I'd give it 8.5 / 10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →в игре немецкие концентрационные лагеря называют gulag.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game similar to Silent Storm and this one against fascists?! Count me in! Uraaaa!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Coming from Mimimi stealth games, Partisans 1941 is really bad. Not only genre wise, but also game optimizations (less than 35 FPS on RTX 3070 laptop and GTX 1080 desktop), and gameplay wise (commands not registering correctly, parallax errors, and harder to stealth kill the more player controlled characters involved because time to alert is tight). Enemy time to be alert is quite important because player characters automatically switch to noisy, range weapons once that happens. I have better…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is graphically well designed. The characters make an interesting impression, even if they are not very deep. The scenarios are interesting, even if they are often not really historically accurate. The language (English, for example) is also often incorrect. Since I don't speak Russian, I don't know if it's poorly translated or generally incorrect. The controls totally suck. Very often you accidentally click in such a way that, for example, the character gives up his disguise - in…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like games like Commandos, Desperados, Shadow Tactics, you will also like this game. It is a hidden gem among real-time tactics games. Good graphics made with the Unreal Engine, good sound design, a great story about the life of the partisans and the fight against Nazi Germany in World War II. But the most important thing is the level design with different locations. For example, there is a farm, a village, a prison or the crash site of an airplane. As you progress through the story, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid "commando-like" game with fantastic narrative and amazing gameplay! just have to mention couple cons for developers: - very hard to click "loot" option and "pick the body" -Glitchy interface -confusing base menu (also lagging) but overall, its fantastic game. To Victory! С Днём Победы!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is entertaining for a couple dozen hours, but there's not much story or depth to the multiple characters rather than "We the ruskies are great, nazis bad" without facing any difficult decisions that happen when fighting a guerilla war against an occupying enemy. The gameplay is not super tight, so cheesing and save scumming were needed to overcome some AI limitations or dumb / unintended decisions and outcomes. Again, it's fun, just not marvelous, and after a while I just lost interest.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is too repetitive, characters do have diverse enough skills and missions all feel the same. Doesn't come near to similar games like Desperados.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can not in good consciousness recommend this game on the basis of the game breaking bugs still present after 6 years. The mission "Hunter" simply does not work and crashes upon returning to camp; additionally, the issue I seem to be running in with has been well known with no fixes ever made. I do not expect any fixes either as the Developer Team no longer exists.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Between the stealth mechanics and resource management, it’s a real hidden gem in the real-time tactics genre. It's criminally underrated, and I really hope we get a sequel someday.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible UX in the management of cameras and character movements. The worst game of its kind. Strange, because it was made by the same developers behind masterpieces like Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game. Isometric version of Hidden and Dangerous 2. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Genuinely a great game and very fun as a strategy game. The only thing I feel this game has as a problem is the lack of auto saves. I cannot fathom a single reason for this game to not have autosaves. The levels are always exactly the same with 0 variation whatsoever. Once you get past a group of enemies there is absolutely no reason the game shouldn't just checkpoint or autosave. It would be different if there was any other mechanic to make the levels more dynamic but since it's always the…
