positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is Pac-Man's Champion-sh*t Edition! My "gameplay" here was entirely spent on my 3 attempts to play it, including re-installing and verifying all files integrity, but to no avail! All I get when trying to launch the first mission (i.e. Tutorial) is a never-ending 'buffering' or 'saving' symbol, which I stared-at for a full 13 minutes during those 3 attempts. It is as if their servers are completely offline, or just a major bug they don't even care to notice. I strongly recommend you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 52 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing PAC-MAN CHAMPIONSHIP EDITION 2. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son found this game at Christmas, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look. Im sorry. As someone who loves pac-man. This is not the Championship Edition you want. You want Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+, Not Pac Man Championship Edition 2. The Game has impressive music and visuals but the formula of the original Pac Man CEDX+ was evolved into something completely new. Admittedly i do find the changes to be fun but i do have a couple of problems with it. For starters, its pretty obvious that the forced tutorial made it annoying to enjoy the game because you cant…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Again very beautiful to look at like the previous one. fast pace too. Anyone that loves the pacman series should give this a go.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I, whole-heartedly, do NOT recommend buying this version of the game. It's unoptimized, lacks any sort of graphical or performance settings, and does not support cloud saves. It's a fantastic game, but this is not a fantastic way to play it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To keep it breif, just play the first game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →does pacman really need to 30 minute tutorial?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a complete and utter downgrade from the first game in EVERY aspect. The terrible gaudy visual effects are one thing, the lackluster customization that lacks ALL of the legacy references from the first game (pac man arrangement 1996 my beloved) is another. The real problem with this game is EVERY change they made to the actual moment-to-moment gameplay, and all of the problems build on each other to make the game feel like absolute garbage compared to DX+. Making a Pac-Man game at HIGH…

unlabelledView post →Speaking strictly towards completionists (which I would guess to be a sizable amount), this is frustratingly hard to complete, at least with my initial expectations of being 'just a Pacman game, can't be that hard, right?'. Fun game tho, even with some of the ghost's pathing glitching sometimes when they try to run away from you, and the gameplay can get repetitive quite fast. Not worth the base price
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I understand how off this game can feel coming off of DX, but I find it to be a bit underrated. This feels almost like an Arrange/Black Label version of DX. It's a very strange iteration of Pac-Man, but that is one of its biggest strengths. It takes the formula and completely turns it on its head and delivers something new and pretty fun. The soundtrack is also filled with bangers. Score Attack is the main mode. The gameplay is quite fun. Instead of ghosts immediately killing you, they will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is Pac-Man with some extra stuff. If you like Pac-Man before, it is nice, if not, you won't after this either.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are parts of this that I really enjoy, most especially the music, but everything else is a misstep. It almost feels like a prototype of CE-DX, not a sequel. Tetris 2 for NES changes the simple line-drop and fill mechanics with some crazy Dr.Mario "bomb" nonsense, and this sequel makes the same mistake. Instead of Bombs sending the ghosts off the maze (clearing the path) it resets PacMan to the start position, which isn't that advantageous. Bombs become a way to skip early levels by…

unlabelledView post →Really love the first one, this one just lacks any sort of charm, fun or general reason to stick with it. Also had issues streaming it to another device (atgames legends ultimate, hard wired between pc and cab over cat8 ethernet on both ends) - but cannot discount it's not something on my end despite other titles (first pac-man championship included) run fine.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →> unoptimized > no graphics or performance settings > no cloud saves This game already lost to The Last of Us Part I PC port at launch(it had those bare minimum features).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the most unfairly reviewed game I have seen due to it being a sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play Pac-man Championship DX +. It is a much better game. This game is a let down
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This would be halfway decent if this game would actually load levels and not get stuck on the loading screen.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a game you shouldn't pick up unless you're fine with tweaking settings in the steam controller overlay, because the game has no deadzone for your stick inputs if you push the stick in one direction and then let go pac man is liable to end up going in the other direction as your stick snaps back to the center. This is a disappointingly unpolished game, and is missing the extra DLC available on console as well.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →do not buy. known bug with unknown cause. Game refuses to launch. it was fun until namco gave up, i guess
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why is there a long series of mandatory tutorial levels for a Pac-Man game? Alpha Centauri has a gentler learning curve than this random assortment of dumb gimmicks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ this piece of ♥♥♥♥ game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ balancing this ♥♥♥♥ is entirely based on luck they ruined the mechanics ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the art style ♥♥♥♥♥♥ the rng get DX do not buy this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A true successor to the classic arcade games , (Pac-man, ms. pacman and pac man jr.) And some of the best visuals i've seen in an arcade style pac man game. If you a hardcore pac man guy you must play this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's cool arcade fun if you play time attack mode casually, but it is a very demanding game when it comes to getting S ranks and completing adventure mode. This mode in particular is very buggy (the ghosts don't respect the game's rules), on top of being hard as nails. If you're planning on getting all the achievements, this game will be a nightmare.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When this first came out years ago, I remember trying it and not liking it. But now having tried it again very recently, it seems as if... at some point... the whole game was re-designed??? It now feels a lot more like the original Championship Edition DX (AKA one of the greatest video games of al time). This now rightfully feels like a harder version of DX, with some slight mechanical changes, and I love it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →godly soundtrack
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun time-eater (hehe) on the Steam Deck Playing the game on the 10-minute mode made me feel like I'm on 500 different speed drugs and I love it Would recommend if you need something to take your time with and just enjoy the ride Also has great music and yes, this game has THAT song, you just need to unlock it by getting a B-rank iirc But yea, fun game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good but still, Championship Edition DX+ is still the better game overall. Just go buy that instead. Also, l noticed that some music tracks for the PC version of this game aren't on here for some reason??? There's exclusive music tracks for the Nintendo Switch version??? What? At this point, just buy the Nintendo Switch version of this game. Again, another game that l wish l could give a sideways thumbs up/down.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sometimes you just want to play a game of Pac-mac and with this, you won't be doing that unless you go through a horrible forced tutorial. I have a new computer and wanted to throw this on last night. Nope. I have to do the tutorial again. The previous version of Pac-Mac is far superior.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Frantic Mess That Forgot What Made Pac-Man Great Rating: 2/10 ⭐ I wanted to love this game. I really did. As someone who grew up playing the original Pac-Man in arcades, I was excited to see what a modern take would look like. What I got instead was a hyperactive fever dream that bears almost no resemblance to the classic I cherished. The gameplay is absurdly fast. I'm not talking about a pleasant challenge—I mean legitimately disorienting speed that makes it impossible to plan your moves…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Get the previous game, Championship Edition DX. This one is a bit like a vile declaration of war against the designer of its predecessor, because despite its name, they changed every single game mechanic to something else and almost never for the better. I only liked the tightened frame window for cornering. The adventure mode, feels like a brutal racing game trial with infuriating randomization and what breaks this game's neck is the ghost train mechanics. When receiving at some of the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →actually a very very fun game I own it on switch as well the fast paced gameplay is just so so peak dude
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To kill some time it's alright. It includes an adventure mode.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had let the mixed reception of the game turn me off of it for so long, but as of right now I'm really regretting that and I am very much enjoying it thus far! Sure, it's a rather bare-bones PC port. And the challenges and mechanics can be tricky, but that's what's fun about it! Simple to learn, difficult to truly master! No cloud saves? Deleted from Deck. :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Make sure you if youre having control problems to change your steam community controller settings. this game was unplayable at first without doing that. Now it's a lot of fun. Music is great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has an incredibly high likelihood of just not working on your computer at all. One of the most popular community posts is of a save file to replace yours with to circumvent Tutorial bugs, and there are seemingly two infinite loading bugs that make the game unplayable even when reinstalling or wiping your save data. Unfortunately after having owned this game for years, playing it on different computers, and wiping my save files to try and start over again I've never once been able to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know what I was expecting. It's Pac-Man, but braindead and on steroids. Everything is locked to start with and you are forced through a dozen tutorial levels that feel like getting gold stars for eating paint in kindergarten before you can do anything else. Then you unlock score attack levels and have to beat a dozen or so of those to unlock Adventure mode, which is what I wanted to play to begin with. Except it's not really adventure mode and more of a time trial relay race with less…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rating 7/10 Intro Only reason I have this, is because I got it for free at some point. So, I can't argue as to whether or not it's a downgrade from the first game, which others seem to echo. As for how it stands on its own, it's quite good. It basically does what a good modern interpretation of an old classic should do, reimagine it with new mechanics and aesthetics. Positives + Good soundtrack. + Great positive feedback. + Good aesthetics and graphics. + Boards look different depending on…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The bumping is the worst, absolute worst
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →do you love pac-man (like i do)? then you'll absolutely love this game. so many modes and options, an adventure mode, awesome electronic music, and an absolutely infectious gameplay loop all fit together into one incredible pac-game. if you're not so much a fan of the pac (or whether or not he is back), then i would recommend this one. save your mazuma for another great title like UNDERTALE or slime rancher.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not as good as dx+ but still fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could give this a neutral review. I think the updates to the mechanics are interesting, and the soundtrack BUMPS for sure But why is the classic version not playable in any capacity? Huge bummer.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →too hard. wtf. - too many shiny effects - pacman not standing out - ghosts obscuring visibility not recommended
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not that good a real PAC-PLAYER will never like this championship, which should be called "losership" instead
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I guess a lot of people don't like the game because of the luck factor in getting massive scores, if you get bad luck and have to chase the ghost train it can cause lots of valuable time and ruin a run. Despite this I enjoy the game and think it's worth the $13, its satisfying to play and the music is very good, getting that perfect run feels so good
