A fantastic Arena brawler that hits every itch I could want fighting as a giant robot. However it is very apparent it will be falling short just as its predecessor did. Override 2 was my hope at finally getting a player base that Override never had, however it appears the same lack of marketing is taking place so the player base will be non existent within a week or 2 just as the first, but that isn't even the most upsetting part that I was let down by when trying to enjoy Override 2 with my…

Put it short. Game looks great, sounds great, weapons are actually nice addition now. And thats all I got from this. The joy I had from playing the first game does not exist in this game. This game has been dumb down, at it shows. Seems more like a "Cash grab" over thought out development. Seeing how the previous game used several years while this took.. what... 1? Here are a list of all the wrongs I found in my short but quick decision of "Keep or Refund" playtime. - There are now only 4…

Gonna keep it simple: Pros: - Looks great and sounds great - League Mode is a nice addition - Mech variety is still wonderful - Ultraman (Even if it is Netflix Ultraman which is trash) - Throwing and the added air game - Ultraman Cons: - Loss of the original games controls (Or no option to choose between them) so now the game feels incredibly generic and not much like a mech game. - The grind to unlock mechs feels terrible and wasn't needed. - Loss of any sort of story mode (There…

Changes From Original Override Super Mech League (SML) takes the entire game in a new direction. For the uninitiated and return players, I will outline the differences from my experience. I will try objectively list differences with my opinions on the changes listed separately. I would recommend both games, though SML provides more content and would be recommended first. Gameplay/Combat It is important to note that the fundamentals of fighting have changed since OG Override. In both games,…

Has rollback netcode, great gameplay, wide and varied cast, and a lot of possibilities both in terms of competitive play and just chaotic casual fun. As a FGC dude I really like that it has a lot to chew on in terms of mechanics (and rollback netcode means i can play anyone and have a good connection, for the most part) but I imagine the great OST and robot designs are what most people will be here for.

I couldn't wait for this game to come out. I loved the first one. the previews looked great. the game looked faster and way more slick. but when I started playing I realized that they had taken all of the things that made the first game out. the unique way you control your mech was replaced with a much less intuitive faster simpler brawler system. you no longer feel like a huge mech just a generic brawler like every other brawler. they gutted the games mechanics. here is a few of the…

The game is DEAD. PROS: the only good thing in this game in this era is that the graphics are still really good, both in terms of characters, world environment and attack effects. Actually, the gameplay is behind the simplicity that this gameplay provides, but in my opinion, I still enjoy playing it. CONS: but the problem is that the SERVER IS CLOSED, and there is no reason to play it, because the game only relies on Online Mode capabilities, but because the server is closed the results are…

I don't know how people tested this game and didn't find the issues I have in the first 10 minutes of play time. There is no way to play online with friends outside of private matchs. Why would this ever be a thing in a game that allows you to do 2v2 in the "Leagues" Mode. This game is supposed to be a party brawler but you can't play with a party unless you're fighting your friends. You get nothing in-game for fighting in a private match. No currency, no progression, no satisfaction. As much…

Did you enjoy Override 1, but wish the controls were a bit more fighting friendly? Want some midair combos? Want to play as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ULTRAMAN? This game has stepped up its...game...considerably. More mechs off the bat, a passable League play mode with progression and an an over-talkative cookie-cutter agent, great local multiplayer and plenty of other game modes to satisfy. The league can be played offline or on, a nice touch, and the graphics are above par for any indie fighting game out…

Like the first game, but this one basically ruined everything that was good about it. I genuinely don't know what the developers were thinking. Everything is now hyper focused on PvP combat, but the combat is so much *worse* than the first game? If you *must* buy this to feed your collection addiction, wait until it's 80% off....

Override 2: Super Mech League is an extension of Override: Mech City Brawl. For those who have not played Override: Mech City Brawl, Override is cross between Pacific Rim and Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots. Override 2: Super Mech League is mainly about your Mech fighting other Mechs. It's a fun game and I would advise everyone to but this game. After you have purchased Override 2: Super Mech League, you can also buy the Ultraman DLC. I have been a fan of Ultraman for years so I was looking…

Vastly inferior to the previous game. There's no costumes, instead you get "armor" that costs an arm and a leg per piece. It's literally cheaper to buy an entire other mech instead of a full set of armor. Not that you want it anyway since none of it carries the personality or character that the costumes in the previous game had. Through the campaign you play through the different game modes which are...randomized. And no, you can't go through the menus to stick to the game mode you prefer.…

Look, I get it. It's not the same as the original, but that's okay. The original was a fun, story-driven homage to Pacific Rim. It had wonderful characters and the slow, methodic slapping around of enemies was great! However, it clearly didn't sell well and as much as that really does sadden me (it's a lot of fun!!!) I can understand why: modern fighter fans don't want slow. Modern fighting games have to be lightning fast, otherwise the snobbier players will dismiss it. Instead, we need to look…

played the basic VS mode with a friend and was annoyed by how dreadfully claustrophobic the camera is. no singleplayer arcade or "career" mode ensured an immediate refund. IDK why nobody can make a kaiju/mecha arena fighter with staying power.

Sadly I cannot recommend this game. Though it is technically a sound game (at least for me) it just lacks so much the original game had. Story mode is gone, now replaced by league which is default PVP. You can press a button to force AI to be your opponents instead but it's weird you have to do that every single match in league. The option to set if you wanted to go online or not would have been nice. The only real sense of progression is earning cash from performing tasks during battles…

A live fast, die fast kinda game. Looks nice, got things a player could love, but not many interested, which makes this a bit hard to play, being its so strongly focus on PVP It might live up to a hype for a bit, like 2 weeks. Then drops off everyone's radar. Personal recommendation, do something like a open world, robot hero against CPU's. Try to keep damage to the city/nature to a minimum, get paid and do cosmetic/upgrades. Maybe for laughs the robot do ad's with company logo's for bonus.

The good: - Good customization - Has a big selection of characters and maps - ULTRAMAN - Easy to learn combos The bad: - The bots are too easy - Goofy ahh league system - No story mode - SPONSORS ARE DEMANDING TOO MUCH FOR SHORT PERIOD OF TIME - Not that great rollback netcode - Achievements not working (only works if you play it on Epic) So the conclusions, Fun with friends. It's okay for a $3 game. That's literally what I can say about this game. (5/10)

Override 2: Super Mech League ----------------------------------------- Not a bad sequel, but a sequel that changed and got rid of some great ideas from the first. While the game is still really fun to play, it is weird to see they changed some core mechanics. If you loved the first one, i would wait for a sale. If you like Kaiju fighting games, then i would get it. Big robots vs Big robots. Punching them into buildings is still fun. Enjoy the game !

So to start, I did play a little bit of the first game and I miss a some of the old features. I am alright with the new special system, but I really feel like the overheat system is missing. Without the overheat system it feels really spammy at times while I played with some friends. I feel like this game has also lost its charm. It feels like more of a competitive fighter than a fun party game. Maybe if they added a mode that brings back some of the old features that's closer to the old game.…

The first game was amazing and worthy of a thumbs up. This one is your average 3rd person fighter, akin to how everyone thinks of smash bros because the fighter game is a sidescroller with fall hazards and verticality. The previous one had Pacific Rim style combat, if you had 3 friends willing to play with you. It's actually a crime that the first game is unpurchaseable. If you want the TLDR, just start a movement to bring the first game back to the store. If you want to buy this game, ask…

Gosh I'm disappointed. I bought this the day it came out, played for over an hour, and in that time made many attempts to find other players online to fight against and found no one. Finally after 70 minutes I finally got paired up against another real player, and the online connection was so laggy that the match was impossible to play. I wanted to love this game because I loved playing the first one with my friend a lot but they have changed the core gameplay to much to the point it just feels like a different game. I can see why people would like this game more over the first one with how quick the combat is now but it has gotten rid of some fun mechanics like charging up punches and kicks and being able to feint with them, the parry system, and flying. Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended. Override 2 is a dead Nintendo Switch third person brawler/PvP arena combat game. There's no single player or story mode, just PvP, and there's no players. It was a basic "hero PvP" game where you unlock various hero characters with their special abilities and combat styles and brawl other players. I think a…

Butt juice, wet, slimy annoying, disgusting, stinky. A very basic fighting game. Multiplayer over the internet is very laggy and it seems it's near impossible to get out of a barrage of light attacks. I won 3 matches in a row first two people gave up, last one stayed. It's too basic, by the end of the third match I was so bored and wanted to uninstall. The single, non-atmospheric song was very annoying, the sound effects were okay but too repetitive also.

Game seems really good, mechanics are expanded drastically from the main game (now having various aerial attacks etc) I feel the game might be a bit unbalanced for now, since lock on for projectiles seems to basically ignore jumping, making projectiles pretty hard to consistently dodge (especially day 1 when noone is super good at the game yet). This paired with the endlag on blocks seems to make zoners very strong. Right now I've been playing Atlas, who has some good movement tools but for…

Comparisons to the first game aside (OR1 was a Kaiju-like arena fighter; OR2 is instead much more interested in just being a fast party game fighter; borderline ignoring the original's design intentions in favour of a completely different style of gameplay), it's decent. It's mechanically too shallow and awkward for just 1v1 fights, but there's enough here to make for some fun 3 or 4 player fights. And honestly you're probably getting this for $3 these days anyway. Try it with some friends.

This Game's Mechanics on princple are good. But there is a problem 1. The controls They should not be so shoulder button heavy it puts up a barrier between the player and the game 2. There should be a pve mode. they could have done so much with this game. With lots and lots of mobs But it's a fighter. Wrong genre for the mechanics 3. Sound In an attempt to sound like mecha the sound are completely metallic full immersion doesn't fly here if you can put up with all of that then buy it.

This is definitely not the spiritual successor of override 1. What this is is a party brawler, and it's okay at best. Unfortunately they didn't believe in the core of what they had and it makes it a shell comparably leaving them to attempt and re-invent themselves. But that's alright, it's still pretty fun but doesn't have the technical footwork of what the first had.

It's not bad by any means. The bots are unique and fun, the graphics are solid. It does get chaotic at times and the camera snaps around. I personally prefer the first one, with the charge option on basic moves, and the skins you could get after battles made it resonate with me a bit more. If you are looking at this game for the Ultraman content, all 4 characters are interesting and have moves you'll recognize.

🍳 The first one was really much better and I understand people complaining about the simplification of game mechanics. The sequel turned into a "tournament arc". It took the direction of casual button mash fightings on a small arenas with only mechs. It's sad, because the degree of repetition became even higher, but the game isn't a cheap buggy mess, it can brighten up a couple of evenings, especially with friends (wish it didn't bury the potential of the franchise). Let «Override 3» happen!

Bought and played this game solely because there is an Ultraman in it. 90s kid in me just squee at that. Also I owned the first one too. This sequel is more streamlined from the previous entry. Less weapon to pickup, no more meter for special move, only Ultimate need a meter, the arena is smaller. Metagecko(?)'s tail is no longer flailing about, that is a good bug that was fixed. Just need more cross-over Characters from other mecha/kaiju series to keep thing interesting.

I was excited for this game, but it seems to be poorly optimized, at least on my end. The game is laggy even when running about 100FPS, and slows my PC down to a crawl. Either way, there is no cross-play and very little marketing was done, so the playerbase will likely not grow from its peak now. The combat feels good, but I hear there is a lack of easy ways to play with friends, which just makes the lack of cross-play hurt even more. I'm sure if the optimization/framerate issues are exclusive…

Override 2: Super Mech League aims to deliver a fast, accessible, and spectacle-driven giant-robot brawler, and at its best, the game succeeds by leaning fully into chaotic fun rather than technical depth. Developed and published by Maximum Entertainment, it positions itself as an arena fighter where towering mechs trade blows in colorful, compact stages. Rather than building a heavy lore framework or deep single-player story, the game embraces an arcade-like immediacy: you pick a mech, jump…
