No qualm there. The description suggests you might have more input in the soundscape than you really do, it's largely out of your control. The description also mentions puzzle-platformer. I'd argue "puzzle" is a strong word, but it absolutely IS a platformer, and not an easy one. This is probably the biggest problem: the game is visually…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello, everyone. Onde is a small but nice discovery puzzle game, with a focus on visual and audio enjoyment. You play a little creature with tentacle-like arms, carrying 4 little helpers on its back. ^^ These little helpers actively support him in his adventures, because our little friend can only move on surfaces, which in this world with his curiosity doesn't help him much. All life forms in this world have a receptor to interact with... Our little helpers can use these receptors, by…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is an extraordinary experience. The only thing kind of similar that comes to mind is Journey, although the "vibe" is more aquatic like Abzu. This games graphics and music make you feel like you are on a very relaxing psychedelic trip. I haven't finished it yet, after playing for 2.5 hours, so I guess it is quite long for such an experience. It's also very reasonably priced, although I find the work of the developers deserves more than 10 euros. In short: buy it! You wont regret the trip.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Infuriatingly frustrating at points, while the music was decent, it certainly is NOT a relaxing experience at all. Being progress-blocked by mechanics that are difficult to get the timing down on is not my idea of a good time. I wouldn't recommend this game. It's got an interesting visual style, but it was aggravating enough for me to kind of regret even making a purchase for this. It's got decent music and is somewhat interesting in regards to how the game moves your cursor around but for…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It looks cool and interesting from pictures and videos..but in reality isn't ..controls feels rigid ..like even if you spam still pretty much nothing happen ..and when happen ..it happens like you have an eternity to play this game ...you also have pretty much no idea what is the real purposes of this game ..in my opinion keep your money away from this at least until you hear that it got better..
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's OK... but that's it. Extremely trippy, not challenging much and in the end a bit boring. The game is trying to look like it’s deep but it’s really a form over substance one. Because it’s so abstract I had no idea if there is any progression here. Music was supposed to be a big part of the game but ultimately it’s just electro-noise. It does not affect gameplay at all (or vice-versa). And gameplay… It's OK. Some puzzles were somewhat interesing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I decided to play Onde as a pallet cleanser between finishing Hundred Line and starting Silksong. For that it served just fine, mostly because I hesitate to fully label it as a "Game". To me atleast it felt more like an interactive art installation. With that said its not like there isnt gameplay, its just very simplistic. We play as what i can best describe as a little jellyfish hangar, which occasionally houses little plankton thingies. The goal is simply to move from circle to circle,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An original platforming experience, Onde combines a bold, fresh visual style, gratifying traversal mechanics and a fantastic soundtrack into a very satisfying game. A few rough edges are the only blemish on a unique game that’s worthy of your attention
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A visually impressive game that doesn't know how to set a good pace. Too many moments that could have been the end of the game but then it just keeps going, and no sense of build or momentum from one climax to the next.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Take a deep breath, dive in, immerge yourself and just chill with this game. Great feeling. Amazing visuals. Astonishing music. I recommend it 100%
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pleasantly confused... but I like it, at the end of the day. Like games from thatgamecompany, you kind of... just have to press New game (or New Journey) and figure it out from there. As other reviews have pointed out, there's barely any instructions provided. If you're able to figure out what you need to do to get from point A to point B, that's not really a problem - up to where I'm at, the new tricks you need to learn are apparent enough. Nice and slow pace, although you still occasionally…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i have to say, this game is not relaxing. At some point i was getting severly motion sickness, the rotation, all the colours it was too much also sometimes the controls are weird, u have no clue of what u need to do or need to go

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I purchased the game due to of my interest for music and audio focused games. I hadn't heard anyone talking about the game so I went into it, expecting a fun platforming game with some sound development in its level design. The first minutes it felt like exactly that, but what I did not expect was the game unfolding into way, way more than that, turning into a wonderful synesthetic experience of atmospheric music paired with beautiful colours. But not just the artistic side of the game is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is Gorgeous. It's a piece of art. Very unique and entertaining, with extremely pleasant visuals and sound effects.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet. Never felt frustrated. Never felt patronised. The challenge is minimal and sort of secondary, the sensory experience is what makes this game. The sound design is extraordinary. The art style is unique. The narrative is really vague but impressive.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde is an exceptionally beautiful atmospheric puzzle game that has a great soundtrack. It has Gris vibes to it in its aesthetic, though is quite a different game in its gameplay. There were some puzzles that had me stuck for a bit and required trying numerous techniques to solve them, but overall the game was relaxing and chill. The soundtrack pairs excellently with the gameplay, often amplifying certain moves and making it feel satisfying as you work your way through the game. Overall, if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It makes you play. But it makes you admires with the eyes. But it makes you sing with it. And It makes you bother for your psychedelic extraterrestrial rain drop. Stunning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good music editing and visual.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →NO CLOUD SAVES, and the game freezes halfway through. It's buggy and sluggish.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →5/10 - on the slow side, i just played at 2 times the speed to fix that - short game even when your not speed hacking. can be finished in under 2 hours + music + art - gameplay
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde is a creative and visually pleasing but boring journey. Honestly it starts off very boring but get's a little more exciting the further you get, just to become boring again. Mouse controls are rather clunky and some checkpoints pretty much killed the flow of the game for me. It is already very slow paced, don't make me dodge and waeve for 5 minutes straight, just to redo the whole part again after failing due to clunky keyboard and mouse movement. I appreciated that they tried…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very gorgeous game! Abysmal gameplay. If you're going to require the player to do some precision and timing puzzles, you should have the controls to back it up. Our sperm-like protagonist is crazy slow and wobbly and a little miscalculation on direction with those launching orbs makes it VEER OFF SO FAR. I like difficulty, not contrivance. Crazy stuttering on some more elaborate parts of the game too. The game mechanics are a waste since they were really clever and seams well in the lush,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a unique and pleasant game! Unique gameplay that is really fun, doesn't feel gimmicky, and actually provides some interesting and novel challenges! The story seemed a little pretentious at first, but I was really digging it after a while, and the end actually tugged at my heartstrings a bit! My only complaint is that some of the songs were a bit grating to me, but the good tracks made up for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game gave me more serotonin in three hours than I've gotten in 3 years.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommend. Medium-short, but beautiful experience of a game. Onde is a abstract "puzzle platformer", where figuring out your movement and the rules of each section is part of the experience. However, this is not a difficult game, both in puzzle/area design and in the movement/completion of it. The main star of the game is the visuals, soundtrack, and journey. The art and feel of each moment is the primary goal, not individual puzzles. Most of the game itself is up to interpretation.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The idea of the game may be interesting, good visuals, but controls most of the time are clunky and movement is too slow most of the time and tiring. It reminds me Gris which also has good visuals but mid controls and (not very insightful) challenges. If you are looking for visuals (but be patient it starts not very stunning at the beginning but progresses well) go for it, if you are looking for puzzles and interesting challenges i recommend to skip (i am the second type).
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →movment might be sometimes weird but overall i really liked playing the game. a nice journey of the circle of lifeand death. loveley made, thx for the adventure
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet. Definitely pick up if you're interested in an artsy audio/visual experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have absolutely no idea what to do, there are absolutely no instructions, it doesn't even appear to save "progress" (whatever that may mean), so it always starts at the beginning again (or, maybe I didn't "play" long enough to reach an automatic checkpoint [ARE there automatic checkpoints??]). Zero clue what this is.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The music and kaleidoscope affects might be good, but that's about as far as it gets. The controls are incredibly rigid/stiff and there is so much inconsistency with movement, direction and speed, you might as well put the game into auto pilot and come back in a few hours. As for the story and/or progression, there aren't any. No idea as to what the developer was trying to convey, but it's non-existent. At least I picked this up on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful visuals, really good ideas for presenting concepts such as the solar system with relatively minimalist graphics (for example, in terms of textures). I never expected what would happen next. The sound design is also good, and the gameplay is nicely interwoven with these elements. Well done! However, Onde is not a game that I would recommend without reservation. For me, there is too great a discrepancy between a breathtaking visual experience, where I simply float through the world,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Swim the cosmic seas in this rhythmic and trippy puzzle platformer where you're a little ball of light bouncing between orbs and creatures while moody new age synths pulse in the background. Try not to get swallowed by the darkness!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What an amazing experience, I cannot recommend this game enough.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is unique and super original ! It exploits the mechanics of traveling on the waves in depth. The experience is both relaxing and challenging. Sometimes you have to think differently to solve the puzzle of the level design, and finding the awnser is always thrilling ! Plus the game time is quite long if you take your time and play it with a serene state of mind. The art of some parts (especially the underwater plants) and the shaders are amazing… And the music is so surprising ! I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde is one of these games that will be talked about in years as one of those secret experiences with indie games. You should definitely check this out as this magnificient wave "platformer" tells you a story and makes you feel about things without using any words.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cool game. Recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde houver fé, que eu leve a dúvida. Minha música tema de Subnautica (ou jogava ouvindo Falcão pra descolar do game e conseguir jogar sem a talassofobia kkkkk)
unlabelledView post →Good: - Colorful Bad: - Level design - Checkpoints (nullifying progress when closing the game) - Optimization (massive frame drops on older GPU) - Abstraction (hides the indecisiveness to properly build the story and environment)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A wonderfully relaxing and atmospheric game. Great music, smooth gameplay, and a very Zen-like vibe. Well worth the price!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game looks really nice, i just feel lost sometimes tryting to figure things out,
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No cloud saves. Otherwise it's nice.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a great experience! Cute story and progression. The visuals and music are excellent and make you feel immersed in the moment. The few close calls in the game were actually quite chilling! The way some of the systems/puzzles work together were really a treat to see work, and they made me grin when I figured them out. It's also fun to try and make music with the buttons and the ones not currently in use. Recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing music puzzle game where you need to use the waves to advance and solve the puzzles. I enjoyed the game a lot but sometimes the game uses some light changes that can be uncomfortable and don't let you see where you are. And sometimes is difficult to know if you are into a cinematic moment or you need to move. Overall is a pretty good game so if you like relaxing puzzles you should give this game a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →just finished the game,, a beautiful immersive adventure.. on sale it's a steal highly recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely stunning, relaxing, with very enjoyable music (that isn't on a separate OST, sadge), and overall very foolproof game design with charming "characters" that even if they don't have dialogue, have personalities that I fell in love with immediately. The antepieces and tutorials are intuitive, very rarely was I genuinely stumped as to what to do or where to go. Overall, a solid 9/10, with a point docked only because the controls did struggle a bit sometimes, but it wasn't distracting or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. Just incredible. This is a very fun and unique experience, had me smiling the entire time. It's not a very difficult game, and you could say it is somewhat simple, but there's just something magical about it between the super fun mechanics, the art, the music and the symbolic story told. 10/10, I feel I got more than my money's worth. Would recommend to pretty much anyone. Especially those interested in a trippy, relaxing, but very engaging and flow-inducing experience

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to press the Yes button over and over again....This game is beautiful and mesmerising! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde is a relaxing game as you traverse a multitude of colorful areas with beautiful music and visuals. At its core the title is a rhythm based platformer as you guide your sprite through a series of surreal environments. It's short at about 3 hours but the adventure is trippy, with complementary music as you navigate this lush world. I would recommend you play this with friends or family because it's a wonder to experience.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful game with an unique and original visual style as well as an impressive and immersive soundtrack. The game is a bit short (~2.5hours), but extremely well crafted. Each parts of the game of the game are visually distinct, full of small details. A lot of different mechanics are explored through the levels, bringing variety in gameplay over the short span of time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Onde is a serene and highly atmospheric puzzle-platforming experience developed by Lance and 3-50, and published by Assemble Entertainment, that places sensation, rhythm, and flow at the very center of its design philosophy. Rather than focusing on speed, combat, or mechanical complexity, Onde invites players into a dreamlike abstract world where movement is guided by sound and light. It is a game that asks for patience and attentiveness, encouraging players to slow down and engage with its…
