The film streamlines the story for faster pacing & makes the protagonist a more proactive presence. Internal monologue & long exposition are reduced to tell a comedic supernatural tale. 🕵️♂️👻🔦 #filmsky #booksky

unlabelledView post →"Odd Thomas" has a lot of interesting ideas and a great cast but it's got a bizarre tone that didn't work for me and a pace that makes it feel more like a pilot for a TV show. It's a special nightmare of mine because none of these issues would've been apparent before the film was already finished.
unlabelledView post →Watching this movie, Odd Thomas (2013), that I've been aware of but have held off. The main actor, Anton Yelchin, was someone I liked and had a big crush on at the time. Yelchin sadly died at 26 in 2016 and that really hit me (I was a big fan of the TV series Trollhunters).
unlabelledView post →I need to watch this. I used to love Koontz's books, back in my reading days i.e. before smartphones. I just watched Odd Thomas today, for the first time. (My allergies kicked in near the end of the film. That's why my eyes were watering a little. Honest.) (RIP Anton Yelchin 😢)
unlabelledView post →Odd Thomas was awesome, book and movie. Yelchin was even more awesome. None of either anymore.
unlabelledView post →His last film, ODD THOMAS, lives in my head rent free....
unlabelledView post →Some don't have gifs but a list are: The Scream Movies, Odd Thomas, Tucker and Dale vs Evil and Brother Bear (my favourite movie ever)
unlabelledView post →Prime roulette has given me Odd Thomas. Alas, a better read than a watch, but also a very enjoyable movie. #FrightClub
unlabelledView post →That movie was fun! Have you seen Odd Thomas?
unlabelledView post →I didn't notice this until now and I've seen this movie 3 times, but curly hair kid looks a lot like Anton Yelchin did when he was in Odd Thomas and Charlie Bartlett. #TheLastDriveIn
unlabelledView post →Sometimes two actors amhave such good chemistry, they’ll convince you the movie is a love story 😂 while the film doesn’t really fit the pod, there was still plenty to talk about! ODD THOMAS is a random comfort film of mine. RIP Anton Yelchin, he had the juice 😭
unlabelledView post →Looking for recommendations of psych thrillers, paranormal, or urban fantasy I published my novel Lander’s Gate and want to read ‘comp’ titles. My protagonist can access people’s past lives by touching. EG: King: ‘The Dead Zone’, Koontz (Odd Thomas & Christopher Snow) Walhberg movie ‘Infinite’
unlabelledView post →Oh haven’t read either! I heard pet sematary is a real hard read if you’re grieving, so been delaying it. Needful Things also high on my list to read from him. I don’t think I have ever read a Dean Koontz one, but loved the Odd Thomas movie so want to read that series.
unlabelledView post →Tonight's movie of choice is Odd Thomas. Great books and (imho) a very underrated movie. Yelchin was a talent taken way too soon.

unlabelledView post →Odd Thomas. Not because it was bad, it was beautiful. But it was the single most heartbreaking film I have ever seen. And it was also Stephen Sommers' last film as a director and writer.
unlabelledView post →After seeing the below Odd Thomas post, I watched the movie trailer, bought the movie and have decided to postpone working to pop popcorn with butter and Old Bay and watch the movie on my Vision Pro. Sunday Funday has just kicked into high gear! Thanks, @minstrelofhorror.bsky.social! 👏
unlabelledView post →I had never seen Odd Thomas, so i decided to give it a watch. This was a crazy film. I enjoyed it RIP Anton
unlabelledView post →I've just realized, despite reading the book Odd Thomas several times, I've never watched the movie. Huh.
unlabelledView post →I unironically love that movie. Fan of Matthew Lillard and Tony Shalhoub. Just a fun weird movie. If you like that, check out Frighteners and Odd Thomas
unlabelledView post →I LOVE ODD THOMAS! Such a great fucking movie!
unlabelledView post →It's hard for me to watch Odd Thomas since his death and I love that movie for so many reasons.
unlabelledView post →Just Finished Watching: Odd Thomas Better than reviews and ratings indicated it would be. It's a good Horror Comedy movie. Also feels like something that could be remade as a short mini series based on the concept. www.imdb.com/title/tt1767...

unlabelledView post →Definitely an Odd Thomas story. (NB: I have read and watched exactly one Koontz novel and film, and it's Odd Thomas, and I'm never not going to bring it up around Koontz. And RIP Anton Yelchin.)
unlabelledView post →Such a great movie. And director. Director: Stephen Summers Other credits: The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, Van Helsing. Odd Thomas 🔥
unlabelledView post →It should be a warning at the beginning! The only movie that I have rewatched where it happens is Odd Thomas, but it is not shown on screen.
unlabelledView post →Who has read the ODD THOMAS series by Dean Koontz? I recently rewatched the movie starring the wonderful late Anton Yelchin & was reminded how much I enjoyed the movie. Would you recommend the series? I'm not a person who assumes the books are always better bc sometimes they are not.
unlabelledView post →Just rewatched ODD THOMAS (2013) starring Anton Yelchin. I forgot how good this movie is. And how good Anton was. It's still so sad that he died & how he died. He was one of the best actors of his generation & by all accounts a sweet person. Anyway, if you come across ODD THOMAS, check it out.

unlabelledView post →His last film was Odd Thomas (2013). It flopped largely due to severe financial and legal disputes that prevented a proper theatrical release and marketing campaign. Critics also gave mixed reviews on it. He's been focused on producing various projects over the years instead of directing.
unlabelledView post →Ok, here you go! :) Mystery - Dean Koontz, the Odd Thomas series - Alan Bradley, the Flavia de Luce series Thriller - Robert Ludlum, The Bourne Identity (from which the movie is based, but the plots are a bit different) Historical fiction - Alexandre Dumas, The Three Musketeers (so great!!)
unlabelledView post →One of my favorite movies of all time is Odd Thomas starring Anton Yelchin. I was devastated when he passed. Also just now learning it was based on a book by Dean Koontz and it's an 8-book series?!?
unlabelledView post →My favourite Stephen Sommers film, apart from Odd Thomas. (Hasn't directed anything since 2013, which seems strange)
unlabelledView post →The Dean Koontz movie Odd Thomas. Streaming services are INSISTENT this movie is a comedy. It is oh so very much NOT a comedy. It could be in the dictionary as the exact opposite of a comedy. Good movie, though. Extremely scary, as it should be labeled.
unlabelledView post →I'm rewatching Odd Thomas. I find the dialogue annoying and way too try hard. Both in the book and the movie. But I still enjoy the movie because Anton Yelchin is so charming and cute.
unlabelledView post →His last film was Odd Thomas and that was in 2013..... Time to put up missing posters

unlabelledView post →Movie #63 Odd Thomas (2013) A young man with clairvoyant abilities faces a darkness like never before. Wow! I cannot believe I put this off for so long. The poster, synopsis & even trailers really didn't sell how good this was. Great cast, very heartfelt. Yelchin really was able to do any genre.
unlabelledView post →Funny enough I was at Horror Monger Collectibles and there was some movie that looked really good on, turns out it was Odd Thomas. I’ll be watching and reviewing soon.
unlabelledView post →Yelchin made that movie so much better than it deserved. What a senseless loss. Oh, and don't sleep on Odd Thomas. Yes, Yelchin made a *Dean Koontz* movie good.
unlabelledView post →I love King! But haven’t read anything from the other two. I’ve seen Odd Thomas the movie however
unlabelledView post →Been reading the book for Odd Thomas recently and it’s actually baffling how word for word they did scenes in the movie. Watching the movie i was like “wow the book for this must be amazing” and it’s like??? This is the same thing???
unlabelledView post →Yes exactly. Not always but yeah. Some of those stories should be made into movies or series though. The Odd Thomas film was meh but I could have seen that being and ongoing thing. There were others that could be straight up horror flicks cuz wow, they were brutal. He's weird.
unlabelledView post →Movie Quote 🎬💬 Odd Thomas (2013) 👍🏻
unlabelledView post →I didn’t realise Odd Thomas has been made into a film? I’ll have to find it. I started reading his books in the 90’s, first one was Tick Tock is absolutely brilliant, never read a bad book from him.
unlabelledView post →I didn't read Odd Thomas series, but I enjoyed the one movie, so I should
unlabelledView post →The movie is pretty good but the Odd Thomas books are great. There are about 4 or 5 and really develop his character and his world. It was very sad about Anton and his unfortunate death.
