Four years after defeating The Grabber, Finney Blake is struggling with life after captivity. When his younger sister Gwen begins receiving calls in her dreams from the Black Phone and seeing disturbing visions of three boys being stalked at a winter camp, the siblings become determined to solve the mystery and confront a killer who has grown more powerful in death and more significant to them than either could… From TMDB

The film is now available for "In Theater" home rental & purchase! $19.99 to rent - or for five bucks more you can own it (what a bargain!) But we're still in theaters the world over!
unlabelledView post →If anyone at the premiere tonight heard a “THAT’S FUCKIN’ RIGHT!” yelled during the end credits of BLACK PHONE 2 where it declared that the movie cannot be repurposed to train AI, that was me.
unlabelledView post →Horror Season if FULL effect,,, my man and good guy @crobertcargill.bsky.social gots his new movie BLACK PHONE 2 OUT TODAY,!!!
unlabelledView post →Much love to every one of you who went out to see BLACK PHONE 2 this weekend, making us once again the number one movie in America! You guys fucking rule.

unlabelledView post →First teaser for ‘BLACK PHONE 2’ reveals the film is set at a winter camp, with the phone conversations now happening in a telephone box Ethan Hawke’s character also skates across ice to kill in one scene See the full footage description: bit.ly/UniDF25
unlabelledView post →saw Black Phone 2 under the most ideal conditions imaginable: late at night in an empty, spooky theater. loved this one even more than the first - evidently a big sucker for a grainy, wintry feature-length recreation of a sleep-paralysis episode with a crushing soundscape.
unlabelledView post →Real talk, it is never not weird to get spam email from streamers you subscribe to, advertising your movie. In a related story, if you have Peacock, you have Black Phone 2 now!
unlabelledView post →Our next film is BLACK PHONE 2, coming this October!
unlabelledView post →If you see one movie this weekend (and haven't seen it yet) consider BLACK PHONE 2. If you're game for two movies this weekend (or have seen BP2) DEFINITELY check out my buddy Chris Stuckmann's film, SHELBY OAKS. Scary as hell and fucking rips. Made Jess jump out of her seat (which she doesn't do).
unlabelledView post →BLACK PHONE 2 began principal photography today! Every day on the set of the first film, I would sit down next to Scott and say "Okay, hear me out," and he'd take me serious for a moment before I'd say "Black Phone 2: Please Hold" or "Black Phone 2: Call Waiting" or "Black Phone 2: Party Line."
unlabelledView post →Holy cheese and crackers! Check out NIGHT FLIGHT+ for a dedicated BLACK PHONE 2 streaming channel of horror and cult films hand picked by Scott Derrickson himself. And watch for our Night Flight nod when you see Black Phone 2 in theaters next week! www.nightflightplus.com/videos/night...
unlabelledView post →If you need another reason to see BLACK PHONE 2 this weekend (you shouldn't, I hear it's great) the trailer for Sam Raimi's new movie SEND HELP will be in front! If I wasn't supposed to say that you didn't hear it from us. See you there @crobertcargill.bsky.social
unlabelledView post →THANK YOU and also I saw billboards for BLACK PHONE 2 at Universal Studios Hollywood and I MUST SEE THIS FILM.
unlabelledView post →‘BLACK PHONE 2’ has its fair share of bone-chilling moments, but it’s still a major downgrade from the first film. Find out more in our review... discussingfilm.net/2025/10/02/b...
unlabelledView post →I absolutely loved BLACK PHONE 2. Strong sequel that blends elements of the first film with some Nightmare on Elm Street. Performances are outstanding and I love the places this story takes us. #FantasticFest via @dailydead.bsky.social dailydead.com/fantastic-fe...
unlabelledView post →I’ll be honest: Took me awhile to get into BLACK PHONE 2, which doesn’t have the elegant simplicity of the first film and is more of a slow burn. Having finished it, I believe it to be a wildly ambitious, formally interesting, & emotionally rich sequel. Bravo to @crobertcargill.bsky.social & co!
unlabelledView post →Black Phone is a decent horror flick, but Black Phone 2 is multitudes better. Really leans way more into a surreal dream logic that you only got glimpses of in the first film, plus great soundtrack that captures both the era (early 80s) and the vibe (fucked up).
unlabelledView post →CONGRATS to my pal @crobertcargill.bsky.social, co-writer of the current #1 US film, BLACK PHONE 2! Loved seeing some of my Lotería Grande Cards make a very cool cameo. Did you spot any others? El Mundo & El Venado are sold out. Get the others before they’re gone! 1/2 johnpicacio.com/product-cate...
unlabelledView post →OK you might want to watch CURTAINS this weekend anyway due to the homage in Black Phone 2 but now you can also do it in memory of Samantha Eggar, who also had the honor of starring in the best Cronenberg movie. RIP to a great one.

unlabelledView post →I really dug BLACK PHONE 2! Love how weird and dreamy and violent and aggressively stylistic it is. And I’m a sucker for a movie that takes bold swings. It’s a fucking cool movie!

Word on the streets is my Lotería Grande Card artworks are featured in the film, opening Oct. 17th. 😮 If you want any of my remaining card singles, get ‘em now. johnpicacio.com/product-cate... unlabelledView post →I'm skeptical about The Black Phone 2 since the first one was a B+ movie with an A+ villain performance, but the choice to just turn the Grabber into Freddy Krueger is a good one. leave the old premise behind. This is Nightmare on Grabber Street now
unlabelledView post →“CONGRAT” to @crobertcargill.bsky.social @scottderrickson.bsky.social @maggielevin.bsky.social and the whole BLACK PHONE 2 team for a well-earned wrap on a much-anticipated film. Now show it to me NOW. (Or you know, whenever it’s ready.)
unlabelledView post →As Drew said, we have the director of BLACK PHONE 2, the number one movie in America, on the pod today - Mr. Scott Derrickson. Great picks, great chat. Wanna be a completist? Go back a few weeks and listen to our episode with @crobertcargill.bsky.social, too. Stick it in your ears! (Respectfully.)
unlabelledView post →Great decision to pick a dark, isolated winter setting. The Grabber is such a cruel villain, I love watching Finn and Gwen fight him off. Loved the cast, dream sequences, visuals, score. Watch it in theaters! #filmsky My ★★★★ review of Black Phone 2 on @letterboxd: boxd.it/bqcM1x
unlabelledView post →This is a shot of The Grabber ice-skating towards his next victim, an actual, for real, actual thing that occurs in the horror film BLACK PHONE 2. A thing that does NOT occur in said film: The Grabber screaming “TOOOOOOE PIIIIIIIIIIICK!” as he sets about ax-murderin’ folk. Opportunity: MISSED.
unlabelledView post →Loved the first one and have not seen this yet, so I'm very excited to be able to review the Blu-ray release of BLACK PHONE 2. Review coming soon. #filmsky #horrorsky

unlabelledView post →Saw BLACK PHONE 2, the self-serious, excessively solemn new horror sequel. By far the best and most pleasurable part is the climax, where the film drops the Gloomy Gus act and basically becomes A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3 meets Ice Capades, with a homage to CURTAINS thrown in for good measure.
unlabelledView post →The How to Train Your Dragon live action film has probably ruined Black Phone 2 for me because now all I see is Hiccup getting harassed by Ethan Hawke
unlabelledView post →Saw Black Phone 2 and Ethan Hawke kills it—literally and figuratively—in a film that goes for the heart, literally and figuratively, just as much as all the other body parts. GenZ has their own Freddy Kruger. Kudos to Scott Derrickson & @crobertcargill.bsky.social for a good time in the theater
unlabelledView post →As someone who has massive struggles with insomnia and sleep paralysis nightmares, the way they pull the sensation off in Black Phone 2 by use of sound and film stock is dead on.
unlabelledView post →I have a pet peeve with theaters. Black Phone 2 was almost as quiet as “A Quiet Place.” I was a little annoyed at how loud the movie in the theater next door was.
unlabelledView post →Testifying to the popularity of BLACK PHONE 2 — this film debuted last October and I *still* receive regular messages from people saying, “Hey! I just saw BLACK PHONE 2!! Did you know your Lotería Cards are in the movie???” (A: Yes, I do.)
unlabelledView post →The most popular movie in the UK isn't Tron: Ares, Black Phone 2, or One Battle After Another, it's Gabby's Dollhouse: The Movie!!! (cue glitter bombs). A cheeky bunch of animated kitties for the kids, Gloria Estefan and Kristin Wiig steal the show for adults. 3/5 film-authority.com/2025/10/25/g...
unlabelledView post →Holy shit...holy shit...I'm trying to digest Black Phone 2. @crobertcargill.bsky.social and Scott Derrickson and anyone else involved made a film which had so much more depth than a lot of people may realize.
unlabelledView post →BLACK PHONE 2: not a Canadian film, but was filmed in Canada & at one point reminded me of this freaky scene from Canadian slasher movie CURTAINS (1983) which co-stars Samantha Eggar & Linda Thorson (aka Tara King) & also features a seminal severed-head-in-the-toilet-bowl moment (not shown here).

unlabelledView post →Black Phone 2 is imo way better—more mythologically and cinematically interesting—than the (decent) original. A fun horror movie with a good final boss battle and a great performance from Madeline McGraw.
unlabelledView post →"The Grabber is one of those great horror villains in that the character features a single fantastic design choice that can spawn a whole franchise." Can it carry a whole movie? Kind of! @sonnybunch.bsky.social reviews "Black Phone 2": www.thebulwark.com/p/black-phon...

unlabelledView post →Black Phone 2 is a decent enough film but not near as amazing as people said. It's filmed well and has a great score but the script still felt a bit clunky and inconsistent in places.
