60 of 71 · most liked firstThis game is a trap. It lures you in by presenting a good first level and the general feel of a Myst-like adventure, only to drop all the facade in the next levels. This game's puzzles can be divided in two categories: extremely convoluted busywork that wastes your time or "figure what the ♥♥♥♥ the developer wants from you". Sometimes both. The latter are the ones that trigger me the most. I still have no idea how the bridge puzzle in level 2 works and the gear puzzle in level 4 is honestly…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Foreword: While I didn't recommend it at first I now completed a playthrough on "hard" difficulty. There were a few puzzles actually made me think for more than an hour. Pressing buttons at random isn't my playstyle so I think first and bring my thoughts to paper. Once written down I try to translate my notes into actions. Succeeding that way is the best achievement for me and is what I want when i play. I really like the design choice as it reminds me of some puzzle games I've already played.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My review for this game is told relatively quickly: You solve certain puzzles in different levels as either Amia or Bogard. Additionally, there are (hidden) collectibles like photos and computer terminals that reveal short info snippets of various kinds. All well and good, and I'm also very enthusiastic about the graphics and soundscape in places. But it seems that my oh-so-great IQ of 500, oh no, 50 is not even close to being enough to solve any puzzles without Youtube videos. Brainstormed…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nemezis: Mysterious Journey III is a mind blowing game that offers you a classic puzzle experience with sharp contemporary visuals, From brain teasing to an almost cracking skull where you can almost hear the neurons communicating, some of the puzzles really made me think and wonder, 'how the hell am i going to solve this?' In the end when you complete a puzzle everything seems so logical and simple, until you are confronted with the next puzzle ;) Example:…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nemezis: Mysterious Journey III I expected interesting story and logical puzzles, but the story is boring and the puzzles are just frustrating. The world should be a mistery but it's illogical as well as characters I meet and their stories out of mind. Legendary authors like Żołna and Cwalina convinced me the game will be cool but so far I feel just dissapointed :( There is no fun in this game... :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More interesting reviews on [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/33843777//] Fenol Baron Approves Curator Page A very difficult game to evaluate, especially considering the peculiarities of the whole puzzle genre, once exalted by the legendary game Myst. It should be said right away that the game was beaten on hardcore difficulty mode (without prompts and with complicated puzzles), so it is quite possible that some things that I strongly disliked on normal difficulty are perceived…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I know you are here looking for a clever Myst-like kind of game... keep looking, because this is random nonsenses. Go play Quern or The Witness. Trust me, don't buy this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I need to describe this game in one word, it would be "insubstantial." The most important part of the game — puzzles — are terrible. They are not hard; they are cumbersome, lack logic, and require a lot of guesswork. Guessing the inner logic of a mechanism is interesting in Myst or Schizm because there is logic that ties the puzzle to the world or task at hand. In Nemesis, there is no logic to the puzzles; they are there only to hinder you. Basically, the game is just a series of 7 simple…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a huge Detalion fan, especially Schizm 1 holds a special place in my heart as one of my all time favourite puzzle adventure games. Detalion games are famous for their devilishly difficult puzzles and imaginative world-design, and Detalion had a good run of games between 1999-2005. Since their last game Sentinel was released more than 15 years ago, I gave up any hope of expecting more activity from them. That is why the announcement of Nemezis (a.k.a. Schizm 3) took me with a complete…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The puzzles are hard and that's fine. However there is a puzzle where there are 10 metal balls that need to be maneuvered in to certain spots on the floor. If you make a mistake; there is no reset and you are done; you can not undo the mistake and you can not progress to the remainder of the game. I would recommend that the maker's of this game put a reset button on a pedestal near this game that would restart the game with all balls back in their original positions. Not everyone,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nonsensical and tedious puzzles that will only frustrate you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just at the beginning of the game, but already totally sucked in this stunning world. Amazing environment and music. Nemezis is just like my favorite human female (my wifey of course) beatiful but forcing the brain to some heavy lifting LOL. Of course no one and nothing is 100% ideal and flawless, but how boring would the world be, filled in with the unblemished insta-creatures. Bravo for doing such a magnificient piece of software as a such tiny dev team (check the credits people it is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately there are only a few games of this kind left. So if you have played Myst, Quern, Schizm, .., you will like this one too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playing on Hard Mode, first, means that there should be ample clues around to solve each puzzle. There isn't Some of the puzzle answers have no logical reasoning behind them. Schizm 1 and 2 had better puzzles Game is more about a gauntlet of puzzles, than a world where the puzzles are reasoned with in the game world. Eg Schizm 1 and 2

unlabelledView post →I want to finish it because I'm a sucker for myst-likes, but the puzzles are not smart, rather unnecessary convoluted and tedious.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2543226853 Nemezis III gets a downvote from me for having an improperly set up chess board. The board needs to be rotated 90 degrees. At the beginning of the match, the white queen [needs to not only be on a white square, but she also] needs to be placed to the left of the white king, when viewed from the perspective of the player using the white pieces. And the black queen needs to be to the right of the black king, when viewed from the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I played the prologue for this game, I thought "now there's a really interesting game that will get my brain working." I'm the kind of person who doesn't mind a bit of puzzle here and there but the ones in this game are just mind bogglingly difficult, even on easy mode. The community posts say there is logic involved in solving them but the logic is beyond me. So for now I have uninstalled this. If you like really complex puzzles then this game is for you.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The least we can say is that Nemezis is an absolutely stunning game. It was a pleasure to wander around the different sceneries of this gorgeous world. But Nemezis is a puzzle game foremost that I would recommend more to the experienced puzzle solver. The game is not a myst-like as I had originally thought. There are no books or hidden writings that would give us a clue on how to solve a puzzle. The gameplay is more alike to a pure puzzle game such as Zof. Puzzles are solved through…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are someone who loves playing hard puzzles for the sake of playing hard puzzles then by all means buy it. For the rest of us here is my review.... I played nearly every game from Dreamcatcher Games who would later become The Adventure Company. The one title I did not enjoy because the puzzles were far too hard compared to every other game they had published was Schizm: Mysterious Journey. I didn't even bother to touch the second one when it came out. Several years later, we now have…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic 3-D modeling, sometimes awkward spoken English, many puzzles, and some of the puzzles made a lot of sense, some did not (listen for clues). Overall a good 3-D puzzle game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i did really enjoy this game but i do understand the mixed reviews. the first three levels were achievable without any outside help but from the forth level some of the puzzles were nearly impossible to figure out without going through every possible combination which is tedious. more clues were needed. with that said there was some puzzles like the 5th level that was straightforward at least when in normal mode & i was able to get through smoothly so the puzzles were not consistent, either…

My opinions and the contents of this review are my own. Nemezis: Mysterious Journey III is a first person science-fiction exploration based adventure puzzle game developed by Detalion Games S.A. on the Unreal Engine 4. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Myst like game with linear gameplay, 7 levels, and a somewhat weird story. Not as epic as Myst but still enjoyable and very beautiful. However, some of the puzzles are frustratingly unintuitive and hard, although I did finish without any help on the hard difficulty with a LOOOT of patience. If you like beautiful games this is for you, but if you get annoyed by hard puzzles play on normal and use hints.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I avoided buying this game for a long time because of all the negative reviews it received. I wish I had ignored that earlier because the game turned out to be suprisingly good. There are three puzzles in the game of which I did not understand the logic. I solved them by trying different settings. The rest of the puzzles were logical and quite good. Some of them were very good. The visuals of this game are very beautiful. It is a gorgeous looking world. That is what I hope to see in a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't be fooled by the glamorous level design; this game sucks. These inconsistent puzzles are time-consuming, not hard. Every level features a load of back and forth walking, and you can't even run in this game. The cherry on top is the abominable voice acting and spelling mistakes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The amount of years I've waited for this game.... Only to be disappointed in the end. I've played through it till the end, en reached both endinds. And while this still is a pretty nice game, it does not hold to the legend that are the first 2 Schizms. So first off, the graphics are stunning! Really, they are. Though I wished some interaction with the animals or flowers were possible. The gameplay is easy, point and click, en solve puzzles as you go. The puzzles can be frustrating, because…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →prologue was best part of this game. great graphics and that is about it
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is a bit of a mixed bag. If you enjoy mystlikes purely because of puzzles and the intriguing environments this might be something for you. If you are looking for an at least somewhat convincing story and world building maybe skip this one. The visuals are great. The puzzles are mostly somewhere between okay and good. There are no "find the password in some random location" puzzles, which is a refreshing break from the genres status quo. All puzzles require you to figure out some kind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is beautiful with gorgeous scenery and animations. zero bugs encountered! Like the 2nd one, you'll be solving a lot of bridge puzzles, but variety is still here...sometimes it is gates or opening a way across a bridge! It wasn't nearly as hard as the 2nd one, but more clues would be nice. I don't mean the HINT system or the in-game for-free voice hints I mean actual clues :) But I was able to solve them or brute force them. I beat the game in 13 hours but that time is ok with me :)…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you value your wasted time like I do dump this illogical nonsense before the color blind test becomes real.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game doesn't really remind me of the original Schism, but It can stand on its own merits. I find the puzzles to be on the difficult side, but without a challenge the game would be "just another game". It feels alien because of the odd sounds and bizarre soundtrack, but it sets the game apart from most others. The developers are still ironing out details and planning to add a few things, so it may have some replay value. If you want something difficult, different, and a real…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks very good. You can see that the graphic designer has put in a lot of work. Puzzle? Sometimes it's hard to guess what's going on, but maybe it's only me who has a problem with it. I prefer classic adventure games, such as Siberia. I still recommend the game if you want to check how your brain works;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. 2 of the puzzles were very difficult. I almost gave up then I survived. I loved the game, good story, Very good graphics and the music was pleasant.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story line is a little convoluted and the graphics are pretty good. Played the game on the hard level (experienced puzzle gamer) and half of them don't make any sense whatsoever. Got to a point I couldn't go forward because a puzzle wasn't working right (other players having the same problem) and when I reached their support person I was given an answer that made virtually no sense and was told their puzzle designer was very proud of it. Some puzzles you just have to guess at and when solved…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is "Old School" at its best !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The dislikes: puzzles are downright silly. Three gears to descend or ascend a platform. Complete guesswork. Absolutely no idea what each gear actually does. In a walkthrough they say one gear is 146 another 6 and the third 1!!. where the numbers from!!?? even in the walkthrough the person doesnt say how they know this? ( a dev maybe who knows) such a shame because the puzzles are the only dislike I have. The likes: as in schizm 1 and 2 wonderful scenes and worlds. Good acting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's good if you get it on sale (under $6) - many things aren't obvious and the hint system is poor at best (I had to look at a walkthrough twice), several puzzles are a complete guess using brute force the game is very linear - you can not go back to look for the extras once you finish an area the graphics seem poor for a game of this age (looks 10+ years older than it is) - the walking is painfully slow (and there is a lot of it) - I never felt immersed in it like you get from the myst…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awesome game in the style of Myst, beautiful detailing/Graphics, the only negative,It was a bit too short. Puzzles much easier than the earlier Schizm titles, Thankfully. Looking forward to Firmament and Neyah.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful graphics/atmosphere. Complex but fun puzzles. A good challenge. Haven't found a puzzle game this challenging and enjoyable since the Myst games. Well done.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VERY DISAPPOINTED. I suspect that most people who have played the first two games are really going to be let down. The puzzles seem so mechanical and not cohesive with the story. Also, most of the puzzles are unoriginal and simply redesigned from ones I have seen before. They are too easy and there is far too much hand holding. The dialog and writing is so bad. Also, the world was not as 'alien" as the first ones and most of the wildlife was not alien either. This was a missed…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a huge fan of these kind of games, and I remember loving the first 2 back in the day. But the puzzles in this one almost all feel un-rewarding and almost random. Most of them I solved by trial-and-error instead of logic. Even a few of the ones that were solved by logic were heavily hampered by not being able to see everything well enough while solving the puzzle. Also, when you start and it offers you "normal (hints)" and "hard (no hints)", the latter means both that the puzzles are…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent game. Well worth the wait. I am enjoying every minute that I have time for.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game. Modern twist to a classic formula.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i started this game a while back but i never really got to play the entire game so im trying to get back into the gaming world again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still in the middle of the game but the puzzles are good and challenging and the graphics are brilliant. A lot to enjoy in this game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Verdict Wet Noodle - The experience is mostly bad. (played in English) The Good Some cool visuals / interesting locations The Bad Terrible voice acting paired with an incoherent story. You somewhat need to experience the voice acting to know how bad it is. Puzzle design - both 1 engaging with puzzles and 2 logic (or lack there of). 1 Engagement issues - Puzzles don't have great feedback mechanisms in many cases. You try to test what you have done to help decern the correct answer but the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Difficult, tedious and boring puzzles, without a strong enough narrative to keep me playing. Gave up about half way through.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So this is a bit of a mixed review. All in all positive, since I finished the game and enjoyed solving most of the puzzles. The environments are interesting, graphics are nice. Most of the puzzles feel very logical. What threw me off a couple of times is that some of the puzzles offer no clue about if you're on the right track or not. There are usually no visual or sound clues, and some puzzles seem to offer multiple solutions, but the game will only accept one of them as correct. So if…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's cool. Some puzzles are not clear of how to solve condition.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like this game but most of puzzles are really hard so can be really frustrating (and tedious) when you are playing the same puzzle over and over trying to finish it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A difficult game, but logical. So beautiful! You just want to explore.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros It was free Cons All puzzles are guesses there is no real logic to any of it. I personally would not buy a game from a developer who uses guesses to make a game seem longer
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thoroughly enjoyed this - I followed others advice and played straight away on the hard difficulty level, with no hints. Some of the solutions were obscure and required thinking in obscure ways, but extremely satisfying once I'd FINALLY worked them out. Not the most enthralling story line ever, but I actually didn't mind that, because it was very original. The graphics weren't particularly high end, but again, I didn't mind, I felt like it suited the feel of the game, and there were no…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who has played the developers other titles (Reah, Mysterious Journey 1 &2, Sentinel), I can say one thing about Detalion adventure games: They are insanely difficult! These are games, meant for people who think algebra is fun. That's quite literately a puzzle in Mysterious Journey 1, where you have to calculate the relative height of a set of pillars. Having only played 3 hours of this, I will say the difficulty has been reduced somewhat. The hint system is not all that helpful. It…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So the game is very cheap in a bad way. * Graphics looks like it's from 2000s * Puzzles are 90% trial and error - very little logic behind them, and if actual logic exists it still forces you to brute force a lot * Story is artificially obscured, and when revealed looks very simple and "sucked from a finger" * Voice acting is school-level * Animations are from 2000s or even 1990s * Pretty short (a plus given above?) Overall this is a very mediocre puzzle game with pretty low quality puzzles…
