Alright, I love the Atelier games and often I would disregard the fact that the PC ports are rather cra.ppy and this one isn't an exception. But let's forget about the quality of the port and talk about the quality of the game in itself. An Atelier game that has nothing to do with being an alchemist but instead placing request at an atelier for an alchemist to synth items for you. An Atelier game in which you can't go out and gather what you need but instead you just choose a map and let the…

Looking for a relaxing way to pass your after work hours? Thought about getting warm and cozy with the cute anime girls from the Atelier series and having a fluffy time? If the answer is yes, then you best turn around and walk away from this game right now. Nelke and the legendary alchemists is a mixture of town build up, a cluttery production management simulation, and character centric relationship narrative. And it is merciless. There are time limits for your current main mission and they…

Trying something completely new worked pretty nicely [url=https://youtu.be/aOhf_BSP84E]Short Video Review Another Atelier game. How many are there? I’ve lost the count. But I’m happy about this. Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists is quite different from any other Atelier games. This is a spin-off and I was afraid it will suck but in the end it worked pretty well. Game makes a great first impression. You instantly get greeted by awesome soundtrack and you know you’re playing an Atelier game.…

So short first impression: A very good jrpg with town management, hits the spot for me for sure. Gather resources, assign characters to either produce, craft or sell stuff as well as go out and gather stuff. Each char have stuff they prefer doing and all got the D-A or so in ranks on what they can do. Combat is okay, so far nothing special but this is not an action game, but it has its charm, I do like how you investigate things and expand your city. You get these cool weekly reports where…

As a huge Atelier fan, I jumped at the idea of a game to celebrate the long history the series have had. And I knew the gameplay had to be a bit different. It runs like a manager game. Which might be a turn off for some if you were thinking this is going to be another installment to the Atelier franchise. However I thought the idea wasn't bad and I would have fun with the premise. And while the game started fine and I enjoyed it, I quickly noticed how tedious things were going to be and it…

"Nice spin-off anime game, but the price is..." + Point : Nevertheless, it's a meaningful gift for Atelier fans. ε-(•́ω•̀๑) Intro Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists. To celebrate the 20th anniversary, the game is a set containing all the characters from the Atelier series. More than 118 characters appear in this game. Of course, not all characters have voices, and not all of them can be played directly, but the volume is rich enough in the Atelier series. Let's take a closer look at whether we…

It's hard for me to rate this down because I was loving it at the start, but there just isn't that much real content to it. Let me break down the game phases and system to explain. The game alternates between weekday and holiday phases, which combined make up one turn. Weekday phases are where you assign orders to build up the town and for characters to make items, sell items, and gather materials. Holiday phases are where you talk to characters, perform research, and go on investigations. You…

Really different from the other atelier games, it is a turn based town management game around the atelier universe with a ton of fan service dialogue / cutscene. The gameplay loop was fun early but got tedious and boring because you need to complete the task or you game over and have to start again from scrach. The gamle isn't bad it just wasn't fun for me. I don't recommend it unless you love the atelier universe and get a decent discount. The DLC and season pass adds a big starting…

While the art style is what you’d come to expect, and the visuals are nice to look at, that’s about all this game has going for it. It’s not a complex game, nor does it need to be, but the lack of features, even basic ones makes it feel a lot more cheep to me then other games. My biggest grip is the lack of freedom it gives you in doing things that aren’t strictly productive. Namely how I can’t just spend an afternoon walking around town, not doing anything. It tries to sell on your favorite…

If you're a fan of the series than you'll like the fact a lot of the characters come back with new and fun interactions. However, thats all it has because this is a mobile game with the premise being the Atelier series. For those that were expecting a lot of the characters to be playable then know that they aren't. I was looking forward to having a lot of the Atelier Iris cast in this game and being able to see the battles but they only have the art and not the models. The original cast comes…

You may enjoy this if you are at least one of the following: 1) Fan of Atelier games 2) Finished some of the titles before Atelier Ryza (As some are technically post game stuff from previous Atelier games 3) Into Heavy micro-management (It is possible to get the true ending on first playthrough. Completed all tasks by Day 67, True ending unlocked by turn 80 due to friendship building delay) 4) Visual novel like scenes/story telling 5) Prefer using a controller than…

A long, more than 1 hour long intro of not being able to do anything except for click on the indicated button, only get a slow, mostly automated city builder that is drowned in visual novel texts, with no way to skip anything... It's almost 2 hours in and I'm utterly exhausted by the game, unable to make any choices and forced to watch animated characters stagger slower than snails back and forth on the same background, I can't help but…

A town building/management game rather than an atelier game. It's a game with a simple but addictive gameplay loop of setting up ateliers and shops to craft and sell items in one day, then going out to explore in the next. The goal is to generate money and resources to fuel the expedition, then use the components obtained from the expedition to craft even better items and onward the cycle continues. Though simple, the game can be quite challenging as tasks are set for the player to complete…

It's not a game from main Atelier series so don't expect it to be the same. It's more like a spin-off that collects all characters from main games and put them into another world. It also has different mechanics. There is no exploration, manual crafting. The main character is not an alchemist. It is a town development sim where you decide what building to build, what to synthesise, who to develop relationships with, what area to send your team to, etc. The amount of recipes is huge as in all…

I would put mixed if I could. Buy at a discount. It's a cute little management game which idles a lot. You have 2 main parts; the town management and the gathering. Gathering is very automated and you'll gather different item types in different areas. In town, you'll build shops to sell your items. The various characters who join you will be able to craft/sell items during a turn or gather items for you. You have quests to complete to bring x items to a character for random rewards and the…

An Atelier City builder? That is also a crossover between all the Atelier games at the time? Yep, and it really works! Nelke is a fun game, with likeable characters. The city building aspect may feel like too much at the start, but once you get how things work, it's really simple and fun. Lots of great scenes and events too, including some very interesting crossover pairings! This game kinda makes me want to play the older Atelier games, some again, others for the first time. Unlike the regular "Atelier" games, as mentioned before, you have 2 main goals, one is to complete tasks set by Nelke's Father to prove she has what it takes to run a city, and the second is Nelke's personal goal, to find and figure out the mystery of a certain magical tree.…

Since I'm a fan of the series I have to give it a positive review. However let me start off by saying, gameplay wise.... this game is lacking. It comes across as a town building / management game but there really isn't anything to the "Building" the entire game is micro management. "Combat" is something you do as a necessity and not for farming really but to advance areas, you'll never have enough time to actually try to get materials personally from the maps and will be left sprinting every…

It can be very hit or miss, as to whether you'll appreciate the game or not. But for the sake of people who haven't played this, I'm going to try to keep it somewhat un-biased. This game has a ton of text, and very little actual moving around (if any). The game is filled with text and menus, and most of what you do is administration related. So, no, you won't have any of the traditional exploring Atelier is likely known for. You really want to know what you're getting into. With that out of…

Love and hate are just slightly above 5 cm per second in this game. Either love it to the core, or hate it with a passion. Tons of familiar faces from past series bring that sweet nostalgia, but the grinding is straight-up insane if the goal is to hit 100% in just one playthrough. Overall, it's a chill game where we can step away, do other stuff, then jump back in anytime. 10/10.

While it lack depth in combat or the management aspect, the ribbon that ties it all together makes it work very well. P.S this is definetely not a game i would recommend playing before not having played at least 5 or 6 mainline atelier games, since the game borrows characters from every atelier game that came before it (so no Ryza)

This game is rock solid. They're pushing deadlines after deadlines on you, forcing you to resource manage with everything you have. You need to manage affections, research and development, at the end of the day it's an Atelier game to it's fullest but with a city you now need to manage and develop from scratch with a deadline every few weeks. If this sounds like your cup of tea it will suck you in and you'll play for hours and not notice the time, but it can be stressful.
