You start first by killing innocent animals. Then harvest their corpses for resources to be used in later experiments. Some animals will take exception to your invasion and will try to eat you. But no worries - these too you will kill. Plants of course are not exempt. Trees you will beat into submission. Your neighbors' crops you will…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another wonderful entry in Atelier saga Atelier Lulua is the latest game in the series. This time the game tells a story about young girl named Lulua. The game is old good Atelier with strong emphasis on alchemy and crafting stuff. You go hunting and gathering materials and travel the world with your friends. Each material you find can be used to make something for yourself or for the townspeople. Alchemy is again different than in previous games so it feels fresh and familiar at the same…

Barrel. it's a barrel! 10/10 best game if you want a relaxing game or heartwarming one get this ASAP i can't recommend this game enough - OST is awesome, i just want to hear them for hours story is like an anime slice of life drama but in the girl's view or like "Kono Suba" but you are aqua " dumb but fun " gameplay is even more than awesome cool and high quality battle animations also story is without 2D spirits and fully 3D ,made their face expressions and etc a lot more fun…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am going to start by saying that I was not fond of Lulua (the character not the game). She was just an energetic positive ball of fluff for the entire game and her only character development at all was her skill in alchemy and her confidence at using alchemy. I compared it to Rorona, Totori and Meruru. Rorona and Meruru also remain balls of fluff but their characters were more interesting to me. I cannot entirely explain why I did not like Lulua. I learned to tolerate her so I could enjoy…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a better Sophie. Out of the atelier games post Rorona without a time management mechanic, this is honestly my favorite one. I would also say I feel that it's weaker than the rest of the Arland games. I'm going to jump on a little soap box for a second and say I'm getting a little bothered that Gust doesn't put in an optional time management mechanic into these games. Click new game > get prompted if you want time management or no > play the game you want to play. The community is a bit…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything that I love about the Atelier games & it does not have the time limit the other games do! Yes KT games are expensive. Yes it has lots of DLC coming. If you don't like the sound of that, best go look somewhere else.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It seems to work great with AMD cards but not Nvidia cards. So, keep that in mind when you purchase. For me, despite having a computer that can play all modern games on Ultra, I can't play this port on more than 15fps.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Atelier Lulua is the fourth game in the [url=store.steampowered.com/bundle/9121]Arland subseries and a love letter to Arland fans. You play as Lulua, the daughter of Rorona, and a good chunk of the game will be spent revisiting past locations and catching up with the previous three protagonists and their friends. There are quite a few returning characters, so playing the original trilogy first is recommended if you don't want to feel lost. However, gameplay wise this is essentially…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Story: A Music: S Characters: S+ TL;DR It's a great game if you love A S S+ Atelier Lulua is really something. On the one hand, it's the most cheerful, relaxing game that i've probably ever played. But on the other hand, it tackles such big questions as "What is your purpose in life?" and has incredibly complex alchemy which is fun to master. This was my 2nd Atelier game. The whole reason why i played it is because everyone told me Atelier Lulua is tons better than Atelier Ryza 2,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another Atelier game, another broken port. It is not like this is the first time they have brought their game over to PC, but most of them don't seem to even work and they have no intentions of ever fixing the game. What started off with just a simple controller bug where it moved your mouse quickly degraded into a giant mess. Music will randomly stop playing. Merely talking to Chim to load up your store will sometimes fail and crash the game. Simply starting up the alchemy screen will result…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After the disappointment that was Nelke comes Lulua, and it didn't disappoint this time around. We have a classic Atelier game with cute girls, nice music and alchemy. If you ask me, this game is a Mysterious game with some of the Arland characters in it. It has everything an Atelier fan wants, so 100% recommended. As for the port, it runs fine and I personally haven't encountered any problem other than the usual with KT's ports. -------------------------------------- If you've never played an…

But after I did so many research, turns out that there are a few things to note if you want to play this game. 1. Windows Update : You need Windows Update KB2670838 (download from their official site) 2. DirectX has to be the latest (I used DirectX 11) 3. Turn off V-Sync and update your VGA Driver. 4. Make sure to own the recommended hardware / system 5. Free Spaces (drive) at least 4-5 GB 6. Verify the game through steam. Now this is my…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was my 1st Atelier game, and man I DO NOT REGRET ANYTHING!. The "Wagon Atelier" theme makes me so dmn happy for some reason that I don't understand. I could really just synthetize all day while listening to that song. The story is ok, the characters are so lovely, the combat is interesting and somewhat easy (unless you select Hard or above difficulties, which turn combat into tactical fights for your life). I love that there is no time restriction/limit, so you just can enjoy the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay so let me start by saying that this game looks absolutely GORGEOUS. Make sure you're not running a potato and you'll be fine. If you're running Nvidia and having some issues with frame rate just disable your V-sync manually in Nvidia control panel for Lulua and it will be good. Now let's start with the review of this game. PROS: 1) There is NO time limit in this game. - Now, I am an avid fan of the Atelier series, have been playing this game since forever. I liked(-ish) how they have the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is my first Atelier game, and I am distinctly impressed. Despite a few frustrations, this is one of the very select class of game that has always left me with a smile on my face. The story is a sequel to the earlier Atelier Arland titles, but you don't need to know anything about previous chapters to get this story, as it focuses on the growth and hijinks of Elmerulia "Lulua" Frixell, a trainee alchemist who obtains a magical book. The characters are charming if slightly stereotypical,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lags heavily on my not-so-bad laptop (Core-i7 x6/x12, 8GB RAM, NVidia 1050Ti) even though graphics quality is pretty low. Even the opening video is lagging and has video-decoding artifacts. Seems to be a poorly made port. Also in the Readme file there is a comment from the developers that the game will crash if you change some audio settings when you are playing. Actually this is a critical bug and should be fixed, but the developers just ignored it.

It brings with it all that makes the series tick, including…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fourth game of the Arland series. You play as Rorona's daughter, Elmerulia Frixell, Lulua for short, a lively girl who is studying Alchemy in hope to become like her mother as she grows up. She stumbles upon a book, which only she can read. I enjoyed how certain things were built upon what was discovered from the previous 3 games. However, unlike the previous titles, Atelier Lulua has no english voices, just like the recent Ateliers. On the upside, it also has no Time Limit. Certain…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So you would question why I would make this a negative review ? I've played Atelier since they were on the PS2 (and have played almost all including DS versions). However since they were released on PS3 they have basically become a real money farming point. You get what is considered the base game for the full price you pay, and then they add content that should have been part of the base game from the start. What would be good is if they just released the entire game after a year as a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a modern Atelier game, so it's pretty much what you expect. The quirk this time around is you're slowly deciphering an ancient book by discovering things in the world, which slowly unlocks more recipes and all kinds of stuff for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute anime girl adventure! Excellent quality RPG about an Alchemist taking over the business. Grind monsters, collect ingredients, take quests, buy new outfits, and discover ancient mysteries in the main quest (when you get around to doing it) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egl0EWQrWqU

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →All Atelier Series is wonderful! Except for the no free run lol, and why are they winking?? lol
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is too easy and not rewarding or mentally challenging even on highest difficulty. Game has a poor balance of dialogue and actual gaming. If I wanted lots of reading dialogue I'd pick up a book. Not my cup of tea.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the fourth game of the Arland series. One could easily get into the Atelier series as a whole with this as their first game. It has no time management so it's chill. Still, it's definitely true that you get so much more out of this game if you've played the Arland trilogy before playing this. Meeting all the characters again is always so much fun in any of them, and seeing how they've grown etc. Arland has so many great characters. Sadly, you don't get to meet them all again. Hagel…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A little lacking. The beginning and progression are pretty slow compared to the other Atelier games, and in general it's pretty bland. Also, all the faces seem identical? Grab another Atelier game instead, or wait until this is on a pretty steep discount.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great reward of old players who went through the torture of the Arland triolgy to have peak comedy from previous characters its nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm relatively new to the Atelier series, started playing 6 months ago with the first in this series. You're better off just skipping this one and going to play the earlier ones instead, there are a lot of problems with this game. The biggest problem is with how you progress. You're given a book with 'riddles' that you solve to unlock new things. There's nothing wrong with that premise, in fact it seems quite interesting at first. But most of those riddles are just things like going to a place…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ok finally finish this and conclude the arland until they decide bring other arland game... Ok lets start with the basic do i need to play the other trilogy for this one. Well not really you can play it without really know the world lore. Still my suggestion is play them if you play more for the story than other things. YOu will see a lot of chars from old games and will bring the nostalgy of the past. Now this game is way better in temr of alchemy still i prefere the alchemy in the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(EDIT: Looked into it further and I now know the developer is Gust! Thanks Gust for being such an awesome team. Looking forward to more.) This is my first Atelier game. I've gotta say I've been missing out. If we base a price tag on content, and not filler content but genuine content, the price tag for this game is completely reasonable (it's $85 in Australia). What Atelier focuses on: Crafting and Story, and to a lesser extent Combat. Combat --- The combat is satisfying, but generic. If…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally does not work, and I've spent an hour troubleshooting it. Can't even get to the first controllable sequence.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really tried to enjot Lulua but this game might have the worst writing out of all the Atelier games. The overrelience on comedy is horribe, if you thought Xenoblade 2 was bad, you will HATE this game. Other games have had comedy, but they were subtle with it, not forcing every character to be "funny" this much. It sucks, because the gameplay is a actually good. Alchmyriddle is a great mechanic, that gets used well, but I cannot enjoy it at all because of the writing. The cast still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Atelier Lulua ~The Scion of Arland~ represents a refined continuation of the beloved Arland series by Koei Tecmo, focusing on the adventures of Lulua Frixell, the daughter of Rorona, the protagonist of the original Arland installment. This entry maintains the franchise’s signature blend of alchemy, exploration, and turn-based combat, while smoothing out some of the pacing and time-management challenges that could frustrate players in earlier games. The narrative revolves around Lulua's…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will recommend everybody to play Atelier Ryza instead; this game felt a lot like a fanfiction as nothing really noteworthy happens. You are not missing much if you skip this entry in the Arland series because to me, the series is already complete as it is. P.S. They really need to implement the time limit back to rein me from synthesizing; I think 75% from my total playtime of 71 hours is spent on synthesizing items haha.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I did not regret buying this Atelier game at all, even though this game is the most expensive game I've ever bought up until now. The graphic is really fantastic, and the main character has a very lovely personality too. All of characters have their own unique side-story and they also interact and make an interesting conversation between each others inside the game which creates a delightful and companionship atmosphere inside the game. Inside the game, you need to make an item in order to move…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masterpiece! Order to play Atelier games: Arland: Rorona > Totori > Meruru > Lulua It's beneath of fresh air the characters are better in more well-arounded than expected. The music is something you have to experience yourself before judging it which is a good idea for me. No time limits and a better way to explore the game with new ways to make items. The scary thing I was originally hating on this game and wanted to skip it for Ryza now, I make an ass of myself for blindly hating it for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Atelier Lulua is a fun, charming, casual game. As someone who played the original Arland trilogy, it was a wonderfully nostalgic experience. Unfortunately it really felt like there wasn't a lot of character depth to some of the main cast. Perhaps this is because the cast is smaller than I remember previous games being, or perhaps because the lack of a time limit means you can often go long stretches without really visiting story content. For me, events would pile up, and I'd burn through them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game runs much smoother than the last two PC atelier games compared on the same 4-yr old computer of mine. Materials collectible are at least twice more than previous entries too. However, the way to unlock recipes has less freedom around it but is more challenging. Thats all you need to know as atelier fan. note: for those complaining being unable to change resolution, do not insult your own intelligence. you can change it if u start the game through Library ( NOT desktop).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gameplay is AMAZING! Story is decent, but gameplay is where this game really shine. There's ton of quality of life, stuff to do & game design is wonderfull.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't start the game. Always crashes at the start after the Gust screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started the game, used WASD to navigate to Settings, pressed SPACE... Nope. E... F... RETURN... Nope. Keypad RETURN? Oh, it must be SHIFT like in really old console ports... Nope. ALT+F4. If launched from the Steam library rather than from the desktop, there is an option to launch a configuration app, you know, the kind with the gray+white layout from the mid-90s. For every button on a controller, there is a drop-down to select what key you want to map it to on the keyboard. But I have never…

But as the other games are not available on Steam, my first real experience with the Atelier-Series was with the Arland-Quatrology. In my opinion Marie is actually a really good starting point, as it introduced the Alchemy-system, which Atelier is famous for, without making it too complicated. It was a cute…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game runs at 3 FPS with broken videos because it doesn't know what the GPU is for. Yes, I eventually found out that this is because you have to go to System > Display > Graphics and manually add C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Atelier Lulua\Atelier_Lulua.exe to the programs there, then force it to use your GPU instead of integrated graphics. But all searches on the forums show outdated info for an NVidia app that has since been replaced and the current one does not have the same…

It was incredibly fun to unlock stuff from the alchemyriddle. It gives you the opportunity to fully experience the game by unlocking new areas, new items, use different battle items, encounter rare enemies and make item with quality traits. I'd say it's the best game in the series because it has most of the best aspects of the previous games, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plays very much like Atelier Sophie. There's no time limit so it's a nice game to unwind with but some players will easily lose interest without the challenge of a time limit. It took me 61 hours to 100%. Everything can be done in 1 run so there's no need to go to NG+. No need for a 100% guide either. The hidden ending should be easy enough for any Atelier veterans to figure out themselves!!! Lulua is a likeable character and the alchemy is simple enough to understand and fun when creating…
