Critics, per Wikipedia
Singapore's national newspaper The Straits Times gave My Demon four out of five stars, praising the series for its cast and execution of the plot, and the good chemistry between the lead cast members Song Kang and Kim You-jung. The series ranked second on Netflix's Global Top 10 TV (Non-English) category. It was also the eighth most searched show on Google Philippines for 2024. 60 of 70 · most liked firstI'm PJC Cahill, I've been writing for about 30 years. My current focus is the To a Monster Bound series, which follows relationships between humans and 'monsters.' My Demon King Daughter series (contemp. fantasy) and NICEF (space opera) both have multiple romantic subplots, too. #SumLuv

negative · AI labelView post →If you’re into super spicy paranormal romance, definitely make sure to check out the second book in the Hellbent series, My Demon Hunter, by Aurora Ascher. Whew! Should I avoid using the 🌈📚 if the POST'S content is not explicitly LGBT? I don't want to invade a space, but also not trying to hide or be ashamed of it.

neutral · AI labelView post →Yes, I think it's great. Also when it's clearly labeled and skippable, I see no harm. My Demon King Daughter series uses 'Story So Far' sections for books 2 and 3. 3 just isn't out yet XD
neutral · AI labelView post →I have watched all the available Dear X episodes, and I think the acting is fantastic--I saw the FL (Kim Yi Seo) in My Demon, but wasn't impressed (DNFed the series also). But she is doing tremendous work, as is Kim Young Dae as the stepbrother. I can't wait to see how the plot unfolds.

neutral · AI labelView post →@HeatherFromTexas Oh, #kdrama does slice-of-life shows that are LOVELY! And, while romcoms were never my thing, they are pretty fabulous when they're K-drama. #MyDemon gives you a pretty fun look at a mixture of genres, plenty of romance but a strong supernatural element, some past-life historical scenes, as well as action and suspense. The leads are SUPER easy on the eyes!
positive · AI labelView post →@whoosh It was my first #kdrama with #WooDoHwan and his body ehm... makes quite an impression 🫠. #LeeSangYi was great in #MyDemon Honestly I think the change of actress screwed up the whole thing. #Bloodhounds
negative · AI labelView post →#MyDemon #마이데몬 Last 4 episodes of this #kdrama haven't been easy to watch. I've reached my level of tolerance for cheesiness and lovey-dovey scenes. And they were too long. They could have been condensed in 2 episodes. So it started as a fully bingeable drama, unfortunately it ended in a less enjoyable way imho. Except the stunning visuals until the end: fashion, settings, photography... Only Gu-won's collar in episode 16 was unfolded on 1 side. What was that? 😂…
neutral · AI labelView post →Just finished the last episode of "My Demon" and for the first time, I started sobbing at the end. Not because of what happened, but because it was over. I've done this with books before, but this is the first time with a drama. I mean, I've been sad it's over but this time I was sobbing! I will truly miss these characters. I will watch again (not going to do a review until I do a watch with Kenji's commentary), but there's nothing like the first watch. #kDrama #kDramaAddiction #MyDemon #마이데몬
positive · AI labelView post →Ack I usually only watch one show at a time and now I’ve got #MoonInTheDay #GyeongseongCreature #PartnersForJustice #Doona and #MyDemon all going at once 🙄 I blame the weather. #Kdrama
neutral · AI labelView post →Wow. They showed the ultimate beauty of #KimYooJung #김유정 in E12 of #MyDemon #마이데몬 (2023). Especially during her dance routines. The quality of the hanbok they made her wear were also of high quality and design. She's so different here than her role in #LoversOfTheRedSky #홍천기 (2021). Or, did she grow to be even more attractive? She's only 24, looks like we now know who we will see more this year and in the next 10 years. (She became a child actress when she was 4 years old.) #Kdrama…

neutral · AI labelView post →20 - My Demon Hunter by Aurora Ascher Continuing the series because I didn’t mind the first one. It’s definitely very popcorn reading but I’m fine with books that are just fun. I liked that this one differed from the first pretty well. Also love a non main stream FMC

unlabelledView post →@whoosh I forgot to include #MyDemon, which I rewatched at least once every week. Less fond of the ending of that one though.
unlabelledView post →@kamikat @whoosh Oh, goodie!! It sounds like it's the only series so far where #SongKang is NOT a hottie!! If you want to see him that way, #MyDemon is especially delightful.
unlabelledView post →@s1m0n4 @glitchontwitch I haven't started the series but anything with #SongKang warrants a watch by me! It must have filmed before his military service and #MyDemon?
unlabelledView post →@EVDHmn The #kdrama #KnightFlower is on Viki and is a lot of fun to watch. I think you would also probably enjoy #MyDemon on Netflix.
unlabelledView post →I have mixed feelings about the show due to its use of Catholicism. The show's misrepresentation of Catholicism was unacceptable, but I would have enjoyed the show more if it didn't try to mix its mythology with Catholicism.

I am actually rewatching it right now (on eps 13 again) with Kenji's Clubhouse podcast. (He gives insight into Korean culture throughout the episode) I wanted to see what he said about Catholicism in Korea. Wasn't that tango scene the best? #kDrama #MyDemon #마이데몬
unlabelledView post →@s1m0n4 @IkkleGemzUniverse That looks hilarious. The FL did a great job in #MyDemon (also funny but a pretty varied show). The older ML was a fabulous dad/superhero in #Moving. I don't think I'd wait for #CurrentlyAiring chicken nuggets but I'll see what others say about it. IMHO, almost all #kdrama has fabulous humour but it's stir-fried in with every other emotion in the universe!
unlabelledView post →We watched Episode 12 of My Demon last night (really loving this show), and it was exciting to start recognising film locations after our visit to SK in Jan - in particular all the historical scenes that seem to have mostly been filmed at Dae Jang Geum Park, which was the most out-of-the-way place we visited on our trip. #KDrama #MyDemon
unlabelledView post →@jcurries @EllenInEdmonton @s1m0n4 In #MyDemon, #SongKang makes his role as Gu Won look pretty easy but there is a lot of action in that show. His comedic timing and his romance are excellent. It was an interesting role. The tango scene will be a favourite forever. #kdrama
unlabelledView post →@s1m0n4 @whoosh Oh, #WooDoHwan is AWESOME! Tell me what episodes have shower scenes, etc.! And, I agree about #LeeSangYi in #MyDemon For some reason. I almost exclusively follow male leads in #kdrama. I haven't quite figured out why that is but I have some suspicions!
unlabelledView post →#kdrama #MyDemon One of the things that I appreciated so much when I first started watching kdramas is that the culture is not so heavily focused on Christianity like the US is. But the last ten minutes of this episode had me making an ICK face. So he prayed and then kissed her bullet wound away? *side eye for DAYS* Blechy blech.
unlabelledView post →@s1m0n4 @whoosh 25/21 has been on my radar for quite a while. A drama for ajummas probably works for me although 50 episodes is not my current thing. I really enjoyed #Doona! and #MyDemon! I REALLY like the versions of romance in #Moving and #OurBlues, both of which I'm currently watching. Folks slowly getting to know each other, often in the workplace and gradually building trust and intimacy. Facing problems together and resolving them. And lots of other stuff going on. Romance isn't central
unlabelledView post →@Missrdevine @jcurries I am going to write a few lines of review soon. This time I'm not on the same page as you and the last 4 episodes were disappointing #MyDemon #kdrama
