My short time with Morkredd was unsettling, frustrating, and – ultimately – enjoyable. It does an excellent job of slowly ramping up the action, culminating in a final level that is both challenging and thrilling, even though it's drastically different from the rest of the game. The early levels were a bit of a slog, as you need to wrap your head around the controls before diving into the meat of the experience, but once it clicks there's a lot of fun to be had. As chilling as the story is, I…

If you are looking for a game to play with a friend, this is a great option. It’s a very entertaining and ‘absorbing’ game. It has a curious mix between relaxation-calm and tension, that even being kind of disturbing, it doesn't stress you, but simply embrace you into a continuous mystery. Its levels are calm, in general, and require quite rigorous coordination between both players. I like that it has well distributed checkpoints, and those help you not get tired or frustrated and encourage you…

I would like to love this game and was immediately drawn into playing this from it's style and charm. The gameplay leaves you wishing that the testers gave more and better feedback. There's little glitches that become WAY more obvious and disruptive the further you get through the game and they're insanely frustrating. There's gimmicks that hardly expand upon anything and leave you more and more frustrated as time goes on. The art is cool, the style is nice. The beginning leaves you going "Wow…

Tomorrow (August 11) at 1pm Pacific... I will be joining the lovely @cursev.bsky.social on his stream to play through the "ØDE" DLC of Morkredd, a co-op physics-based puzzle game where shadows are lethal! Time allowing, we may also try out some UFO 50 multiplayer games.

Campaign can be done in 2 hours. Personally just missed the achievement by 3-4 minutes. If played co-op the game should be a bit easier to control and finish The gameplay as a Single Player is nearly the same as "Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons" where you control 2 units and solve puzzles on a journey. The main difference here is that the main goal for this game is guiding a ball of light. There are some interesting design with it thus increasing the difficulty as a SP but it should be a bit…

Really, really enjoyable. Did co-op via remote play with a friend and we absolutely loved the experience. To be honest, I only purchased the game for the aesthetic and for remote play, but we ended up being pleasantly surprised by all Morkredd had to offer. The puzzles were pretty simple, in theory, though the amount of spatial awareness required challenged my brain in a way no other game has - one literal wrong step and you've obliterated your partner with your shadow. And you'll do it 50 more…

A game concept that should have stayed a concept. I played it solo and I cannot recommend anybody to do that. What they've done for the single player mode is to make it so you control both characters at the same time, which ends up being "we have Brothers - A tale of two sons at home" with none of the charm and the fun. Constant, constant one hit deaths stemming from awkward controls and janky physics, and the devs expect you to master it to get the achievements for 'don't die in this part of…

A nice co-op game until the final section, where the controls stop working correctly and occasionally automate themselves, killing you over and over.

A bit interesting, mostly weird, definitely overpriced. I bought it during a 50% off sale and I still feel like I paid twice what it should have cost. It's not a bad game and if it were $5 I might recommend it, but the gameplay is a bit dull, puzzles are all pretty trivial, and controls are a bit awkward. The best part about it is some of the environments, but there's really nothing novel here to get excited about. It's just a casual light puzzle game that might keep you entertained for a…

Morkredd Playing as a Living doll (or two) that came through life from a light source that you need to protect while you solving puzzles. You need to use every cell on your brain while playing this solo, at least for me... It has a great atmosphere, and cool graphic.

Looks much more interesting than it actually is. Full of glitchy puzzles and very unforgiving and easily caused deaths if you're playing with a friend. The "puzzles" themselves are mostly standing on a switch, having your friend walk across, they step on their switch, then you both move on. They're not actually puzzles. The atmosphere is not as strong as it wants to be, attempting to impose scale on you with large shots, but then cuts all around with the camera awkwardly and in the midst of so…

Played it solo. Great atmosphere, but the gameplay ruined it for me. Controlling both characters alone makes the shadow mechanic more frustrating than anything. The puzzles themselves are not that hard, the controls are the real challenge, and not in a good way. The ball movement is especially awful and feels unpredictable. I can see this working better in co-op, but solo it’s just a chore. The ending was also confusing and underwhelming. Nice mood but frustrating game.

Unfortunately, Morkredd falls short of expectations. The gameplay is overly simplistic, becoming monotonous within just a few minutes. The puzzles lack creativity and feel more like a tedious chore than an engaging challenge, making it hard to stay invested

First, a warning: This game will end relationships. Morkredd is one of those quiet little monochromatic games like INSIDE and LIMBO, where the mechanic is pretty simple, but death is always just a twitch away. What makes it different from those other games is that this is a cooperative game... and I don't think I've even seen a more harsh cooperative game out there. In general, dark is bad, and your job is to move around a light, in both meanings of 'move around'. Sometimes you'll be…

Been a while due to life stuff BUT finished Morkredd, a stylish 2 player co-op puzzle game about rolling a glowing ball around and avoiding shadows. Doesn't out stay it's welcome but does the cardinal sin that a lot of puzzle platformers do of throwing in a random unestablished mechanic as a finale

If you ever have a friend over and you got nothing to do , this is a decent game for shared/split screen co-op , otherwise it's really annoying playing it single player cause you have to control 2 characters simultaneously.

The light and shadow effect is great and even the shadow of partner can kills. Eventually, the two of you will not focus on following the light only but also the shadow of your team too. Light is life, shadow is death You roll around a light orb and solve various puzzles with your partner. As you move around it, you cast a shadow that can easily kill your partner. The art style is pretty dark and minimal, it looks decent and fits with the theme. The background ambient melody further sets in the grim and bleak feeling. The game is obviously a co-op experience but you can play it solo by controlling both characters at the same time. The co-op is only local, but online can be…

Co-op games need online co-op.Steam Play Together was used but online co-op would be much better as an option for such a teamwork oriented game. The checkpoint system is generous which makes the not-so-polished controls less frustrating. There is no chapter select, so you must play through the slow intro to revisit any further part. 2.2% of players completed this game solo, and 8.4% completed co-op, that's about a 10% completion rate overall... and for a short 2 hour game that's not a lot of…

While searching for a game to play in my endless sea of a steam library, I decided to use a steam roulette rule to make that decision for me. Morkredd is a really fun co-op game with very interesting, smart, and innovative way of playing. Basically your characters must always be under the light, otherwise the shadows destroy them. Such a simple concept and very easy to understand, yet it brings a good amount of challenge and requires thinking and using some strategy to go through (and maybe a bit of rage too haha). If you care about backstory and are interested in how the world came to be plunged into darkness, make sure you explore, as these things are revealed in carvings on the walls. A begrudging thumbs up. A good co-op game, though lacking some polish. Cons: - No controller support in the main menu. You have to use a mouse to start the game before switching to controller, which is inconvenient for playing on the couch. - Controls feel a little clunky. Sadly, this game isn't fun at all. Game looks very nice, but gameplay needs a big overhaul. Bought it and played for 1 hour with my sister. It's incredibly frustrating, because you instantly die from accidentally standing in each other's shadow, like a million times in a row. The challenge from the game comes from this very fact.
